March 18th doctor ordered a MRI. Got the call and text from Kristine because the MRI was ordered as urgent (STAT or SAT whatever they refer to it in the medical world.) 3-18-25 at 5:35 was on the phone with a rep trying to find an soonest appt. Was scheduled for next day, unfortunately I had to reschedule when I realized I could not with work. Called back 6:39 pm on 3-18-25 and rescheduled for 3-24-25 at 7:15 P.M. Got text on Satuday 3-22 stating your appt. is tomorrow 3-23. Called today 3/24 confirming appt info, got online and completed all required paperwork. Through all of these interactions, not one single rep mentioned any kind of prep that was needed for the MRi. Showed up to the appt at SimonMed Estrella to wait at the counter for over 15 minutes before anyone came out. Only to tell us that they had to reschedule because the prep was not complete. I asked why no said anything, lady working front desk said I wasn't working over the weekend. OK, but someone was and this should be standard info that you are giving patients. I know that all calls are recorded, go ahead an pull all the calls and let me know if a single rep says anything about prep. I assumed there was none. Quick to talk about $, but incompetent in more way than one. PTO wasted that I cant get back, yet they want their money before even processing through insurance when deductible has been met.
Claimed loss: $200
Desired outcome: Prepayment should be waived, because every single point of contact from SIMONMED failed to give me the information I needed to have my MRI done when scheduled and in time for my surgery. Again, pull the calls and listen for yourself.
