Softpedia Review: Biased News, Censored Comments, and Dangerous Downloads
Softpedia is a website that offers a variety of software downloads and news articles. However, it seems that they use their news articles as a way to advertise their own products. This can be frustrating for users who are looking for unbiased information.
Another issue with Softpedia is their heavy censorship of comments and reviews that don't agree with their own opinions. This seems to be especially targeted towards U.S. citizens, which is odd considering that Softpedia is a Romanian company using a U.S. domain name.
In addition, Softpedia promotes ad-ware and spyware as safe freeware in their file areas. This can be dangerous for users who are not aware of the risks associated with these types of software. Some of these programs are almost impossible to uninstall or remove, which can be frustrating for users who want to get rid of them.
Despite repeated complaints by email, Softpedia seems to ignore these issues and continue to promote potentially harmful software. Overall, users should be cautious when using Softpedia and make sure to do their own research before downloading any software from the site.
Disastrous Download: Softpedia's Free Software Caused Chaos on My Computer
So, I went to Softpedia to download some free software. The site said it was safe and free from any bad stuff like spyware or viruses, which was a relief. But as soon as I clicked the download button, I started getting a bunch of errors about active X controls. They just kept popping up, like five a second. It was super annoying.
I decided to shut down my computer and start it up again. But when I did, I noticed that the icons on my desktop had tripled. That was weird. I tried to delete everything I could see that had downloaded, but my computer is still acting up. It's not good.
Honestly, I don't think I'll ever download anything from a third-party vendor again. It's just not worth the risk. I wish Softpedia had been more careful about what they were offering on their site. It's frustrating to think that I might have to pay to fix my computer now.

Softpedia is a massive collection of software that caters to a variety of operating systems such as Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS. The website is a one-stop-shop for all your software needs, and what sets it apart is the rigorous testing and reviews that each software product undergoes. You can easily identify the safe-to-use software programs by the "100% clean" sign, which is a great feature for users who are concerned about the safety of their devices.
The website provides detailed information about the functionalities and performance of the software, which is extremely helpful in making an informed decision about whether to try the software or not. The Softpedia team members work tirelessly to ensure that the information provided is accurate and up-to-date, making it easier for users to find the software that best suits their needs.
If you are a developer, Softpedia is an excellent software publishing platform that you cannot afford to miss. The website provides a platform for developers to showcase their software products to a vast audience, which can help in increasing their visibility and reach. The Softpedia team also provides support to developers, which can be extremely helpful in resolving any issues that may arise during the publishing process.
Overall, Softpedia is an excellent resource for anyone looking for software products. The website is easy to navigate, and the information provided is comprehensive and reliable. Whether you are a casual user or a developer, Softpedia has something for everyone, making it a must-visit website for all your software needs.
Beware of Softpedia: Unappreciative, Insulting, and Unsafe for Downloads
Softpedia is a website that I have had some experience with, and I must say, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I have worked hard on creating games and other things for them to use, but they treat it like it's nothing. They don't appreciate the effort that goes into creating something from scratch, and they think that three months of work is "rushed". It's frustrating to see your hard work being treated like garbage.
Another thing that bothers me about Softpedia is their attitude towards artists. They think that they can insult the artist if they don't like something, even though it takes a long time to draw characters and make them anatomically correct and detailed. It's not easy to create something that looks good and is also functional, but Softpedia doesn't seem to understand that.
One thing that I would caution people about is downloading anything from Softpedia. You're likely to get tons of viruses and malware up the butt, and that's not something that anyone wants. It's better to be safe than sorry, and I would recommend avoiding Softpedia altogether if you can.
Overall, my experience with Softpedia has been less than stellar. They don't appreciate hard work, they insult artists, and they're not a safe place to download anything from. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy website, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Unwanted Extras: My Experience with Softpedia Downloads
Softpedia is a website that offers a wide range of software downloads. It is a popular site that many people use to find the software they need. The site claims to offer 100% safe downloads, but this is not always the case. While most of the downloads are safe, there are some that come with unwanted extras.
I recently downloaded something from Softpedia and found that it installed SweetIM without my permission. SweetIM is a well-known issue and has been banned by Firefox because of this. I was disappointed to find that there was no notification on the Softpedia site about this extra software. I contacted Softpedia to advise them of this malware, but they still have not added any advice to the download page.
In the past, Softpedia was a reliable site, but it seems that it is no longer the case. There is no way of telling when you will get malware with your download. While I still use Softpedia, I am now much more cautious about what I download and always check for any unwanted extras.
Softpedia Review: Risky Downloads and Dodgy Registry Adjustments
I recently had an experience with Softpedia, a website that offers a variety of software downloads. I was looking for a simple file utility and decided to give Softpedia a try. However, I encountered some issues with the download process. When I tried to save the file, it wouldn't let me and instead only gave me the option to run it. This was frustrating because I prefer to save files so I can access them later.
But that wasn't the worst part. When I ran the file, it started doing all sorts of things to my computer that seemed dodgy and irrelevant to what I was trying to download. It was adjusting registry entries left and right, which made me feel uneasy about what else it might be doing behind the scenes. I quickly realized that this was not a safe download and ended up blocking it.
I decided to look for the file elsewhere and found a different website that allowed me to simply save the file without any registry adjustments or attempts to take over my computer. The download was quick and simple, and I didn't have to worry about compromising my online security.
Overall, my experience with Softpedia was not a positive one. Unless you're willing to take a risk with your computer and online security, I would recommend avoiding this site. There are plenty of other websites out there that offer safe and reliable downloads without any unnecessary complications. So be careful and do your research before downloading anything from Softpedia or any other website.
Softpedia: A Lifesaver for Drivers, Tech News, and Software Downloads
I gotta tell ya, Softpedia is a real lifesaver! I was strugglin' to find a driver for my printer that actually worked, and even the company that made my printer didn't have a good copy of it. But then I stumbled upon Softpedia and BAM! There it was, a driver that actually worked! Saved me from havin' to buy a whole new printer, which woulda been a real pain in the you-know-what.
But that ain't all, folks! Softpedia has a ton of tech news and info on all the latest computer technology. And if you're lookin' for software downloads, they got you covered there too. I've downloaded a bunch of stuff from 'em and never had a problem, but I did see one review where someone said they had a virus or somethin'. So just be careful and run your virus checker before installin' any software you download from Softpedia or any other website for that matter.
All in all, I think Softpedia is a great resource for anyone lookin' to stay up-to-date on tech news or find software downloads. So why not give it a look-see? You might just find what you're lookin' for!
Softpedia: A Safe and User-Friendly Website for Freeware and Shareware Downloads
Softpedia is one of the best websites out there for finding and downloading freeware and shareware applications. I gotta say, what really impresses me about Softpedia is that they provide links, mirrors, and files without any wrappers containing PuP's (potentialy unwanted and/or malicious programs). When you download a file from Softpedia, you can be sure that you're not getting any other unnecessary programs in the process.
I stumbled upon Softpedia after C/Net's Download.com started forcing software developers to accept their proprietary wrappers, but that's a whole other story. Softpedia is super easy to use and is one of the most user-friendly websites of its kind on the internet. The navigation is graphically based and is as easy to use as any modern-day operating system. Hats off to Softpedia for their usability and honesty!
I've been using Softpedia for a while now and I've never had any issues with any of the downloads. The website is constantly updated with the latest software releases and they have a huge library of applications to choose from. Whether you're looking for a new media player, antivirus software, or even a game, Softpedia has got you covered.
One thing I will say is that the website can be a bit overwhelming at first. There's just so much content to sift through that it can be hard to know where to start. But once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze to use.
Overall, I highly recommend Softpedia to anyone looking for a safe and reliable website for downloading freeware and shareware applications. It's one of the best out there and I've never had any issues with any of the downloads. So if you're in the market for some new software, give Softpedia a try!
Softpedia.com Review: Beware of Viruses and Trojan Horses in Downloads
So, I gotta say, Softpedia dot com has been nothing but a pain in my butt. I mean, seriously, what is up with all the viruses? I downloaded Real 1 for Windows 6.5 Mobile and it was a complete disaster. First of all, I had to extract it on my desktop before I could even install it on my phone. Then, when I finally got it installed, there was no working media player. Instead, there was a virus that used my email to spam all my contacts and steal my passwords and debit card info. Not cool, man.
And it's not just Real 1 that's the problem. I recently downloaded a free game app called Air Strike 3D and it turned out to be packing a variant of the Zeus trojan. Like, seriously? What kind of garbage site is this? They claim to virus scan all their downloads, but clearly that's a bunch of baloney.
Honestly, I wouldn't trust Softpedia dot com as far as I could throw it. It's just not worth the risk. If you want safe downloads, I'd recommend going to C-net's Downloads dot com. I've never had any problems with their site and they seem to be a lot more trustworthy. So, downloader beware!
Beware of Softpedia: My Experience with Malware
I had a bad experience with Softpedia. The first time I downloaded something from the site, I ended up with malware on my computer. It was a real headache to get rid of it. I had to call Norton Internet Security three times and spend about three hours on the phone with their support reps to finally remove the malware. I don't think I'll be using Softpedia again, and I suggest you stay away from it too.
The malware I got was called SecurityRisk.Downldr. Every time I started my computer, Norton would tell me that it was handling a threat from this malware. It would either block the attack or remove the risk. The location of the executable file on my hard drive was different every time, and the .exe file name was different too. The first time I got the malware was after I deleted a piece of software called START SAVIN that was downloaded without warning while I was downloading Revo Uninstaller from Softpedia. After I removed START SAVIN with Revo Uninstaller Pro, the attacks started happening every time I started my computer.
Even though I deleted START SAVIN, something must have been installed on my computer that triggers the malware every time I start up. And even though I deleted START SAVIN, I still get pop-ups from it when I'm using the Internet. This malware really hinders the availability of my computer until it's resolved.
I scanned my computer with Norton Anti Virus and BitDefender three times each, but they didn't find anything. I had to call Norton support to finally get rid of the malware. It was a real pain.
So, my advice is to stay away from Softpedia. You never know what you might end up downloading.

Beware of Softpedia: LB Task Control Software Infected My System with Malware

I was really disappointed with Softpedia for misleading me like that. I thought they were a reliable source for software downloads, but it turns out they're not. I wouldn't recommend anyone to download anything from their website unless they want to risk getting their system infected with viruses.

Beware of Softpedia: Download at Your Own Risk
So, I was trying to get a new graphics driver for my computer and I stumbled upon Softpedia. At first, I thought it was a legit website, but boy was I wrong! I downloaded the driver and instead of getting what I wanted, I got a bunch of malware on my computer. It was a nightmare! And to make matters worse, I was redirected to a sketchy games site that wanted my credit card details. Like, seriously? Who falls for that?
Anyway, I learned my lesson and I'm warning you all to stay away from Softpedia. It's not worth the risk. Stick to the official websites of the software you need and save yourself the headache. Trust me, you don't want to deal with the mess that I had to go through.
Disappointing Experience with Softpedia: Downloaded Unwanted Software and Virus
So, I was looking for a driver for my Sony webcam and decided to check out Softpedia. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. When I clicked on the driver software I needed, Softpedia downloaded a bunch of other stuff without asking me first. I ended up with a virus, adware, and a toolbar that had nothing to do with what I was looking for. It was really frustrating and took me a while to clean up my computer. I wouldn't recommend using Softpedia if you're looking for reliable and safe downloads.
Softpedia Review: A Useful Resource for Software and Drivers, But Beware of Fake Downloads
Softpedia is a website that offers a wide range of software and drivers for download. However, it is important to be cautious when downloading from this site. Some of the downloads may not be what they seem. In fact, some of the downloads may be fake and contain ad generators that are difficult to uninstall.
It is important to be aware of this when downloading from Softpedia. While the site does offer a lot of useful software and drivers, it is important to be careful and make sure that you are downloading the correct file. If you are not careful, you may end up with an ad generator that is difficult to remove.
Despite this issue, Softpedia is still a useful resource for those looking for software and drivers. Just be sure to double-check the file you are downloading and make sure that it is the correct one. If you are unsure, it may be best to look for the software or driver elsewhere.
Overall, Softpedia is a good resource for those looking for software and drivers. Just be cautious when downloading and make sure that you are getting the correct file. With a little bit of care, you can use Softpedia to find the software and drivers that you need.
Beware of Softpedia: Shady Practices and Virus Distribution
Yo, listen up! I gotta tell you about this website called Softpedia. Now, I ain't gonna lie, there's some shady stuff going on over there. I heard they're based in Romania and they promote and distribute viruses and worms like the Conficker Worm. That's messed up, man. And get this, they even steal bandwidth from other websites. That's just low.
But it gets worse. Apparently, their whois information is invalid, so their domain should be suspended. And they're keyword spamming on Google search engine, which is just not cool. I think they should be removed from the search engine altogether.
So, if you're thinking about checking out Softpedia, I'd think twice. You don't wanna risk getting a virus or supporting a shady website. Stay safe out there, folks.
Discover Reliable Software and Apps with Softpedia's User Reviews and Easy Navigation
Softpedia is a great website for downloading software and apps. I have been using it for a while now and I have never had any problems with it. The website is easy to navigate and the search function is very helpful. I have found all the software and apps that I needed on Softpedia.

Another thing that I like about Softpedia is that they have a lot of categories for software and apps. This makes it easy for me to find what I am looking for. I can search by category or by keyword. The website also has a lot of information about each software and app, including the size, the version, and the date it was last updated.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Softpedia to anyone who is looking for software or apps. It is a great website with a lot of useful information. The only downside is that sometimes the download links don't work, but this is a minor issue.
Stay Away from Softpedia: A Cluttered and Unsafe Download Site
So, I was looking for a site to download some software and came across Softpedia. At first, I was a bit skeptical because I've heard some negative things about them. But, I decided to give them a chance and see for myself.
Let me tell you, I was not impressed. The site is cluttered and confusing. It's hard to find what you're looking for and when you do, it's not always clear which download button to click. And, when you do finally download something, you have to go through their own downloader which is a pain in the butt.
But, that's not even the worst part. Softpedia downloads all sorts of junk onto your computer without your permission. It's like they don't care about your privacy or security. And, if that wasn't bad enough, they also hijack your browser and change your homepage. It's a nightmare.
I would definitely recommend staying away from Softpedia. There are plenty of other sites out there that are much better and won't give you a headache. Just be careful and always read reviews before downloading anything.
