service
I recently visited Sorbet Cavendish for a full face wax. I received the most terrible service as if I were asking for it for free. The lady that did my wax used thick large patches of wax that did not remove most of my hair and then proceeded to thread my whole face which she still left most of my hair. She also threaded my eyebrows which she didn't even ask and left me with so many fine hairs there to. Never will I do this again there. I normally go to the Sorbet in Rondebosch.
sorbet dry bar - bedford centre
The Sorbet Dry Bar in Bedford Centre is filthy! The staff are wild and noisy. Customer service is poor and the whole environment and experience is unpleasant due to lack of professionalism. If a Sorbet store cannot be managed by the owner on a full-time daily basis, please consider closing the store down or fine the owner for neglect. Sorbet stores run unprofessionally give the Sorbet brand a very bad reputation in the beauty industry. I have read a few of the complaints from various customers, the underlying issue with Sorbet Stores is poor service, inferior products and general neglect of the store and customer. There is only one Sorbet store I would recommend for being managed by the actual owner and which is clean and professional, Sorbet Senderwood. Well done to them! And to think Sorbet Stores have opened in the UK, that was a very bold, brave step considering the brands ailing reputation in South Africa.
I am complaining about service at sorbet farrarmere square dry bar
I am a regular client at the dry bar at Farramere square and recently I am not happy with the service by Vanessa.
She is very unhelpful and very abrupt.
I rather speak to one of the stylists when booking for my hair because she always cannot assist you with what you require.
Today I felt it rather embarrassing as she acccused me for not paying for my treatment- despite me showing her my receipt she still went into the system to verify the payment and still said that it wasn't showing.
After a minute then she said that her system was slow.
I find that very unprofessional especially being accused of not paying when I have over 1000 sorbet points.

poor customer service:carlswald
I used to be a regular customer at Carlswald however the service levels have really deteriorated and as result I have found another nail bar in the area which is cheaper and way friendlier.
I got the 50% discount sms for my birthday and against my better judgement decided to give Carlswald another shot but once again I was sorely disappointed. The ladies at the counter were not welcoming or friendly and Charity the lady who helped was more interested in what was happening around the store. I prefer normal paint on my feet to Gelish and when I informed Charity of this all she could do was point out that my sandals were not the right shoes for a normal paint, she suggested Gelish-which I told her I don't like and then suggested that she could sell me slops for R40-I have a number of pairs of slops in my closet all under R40 so investing in a pair of slops for R40 just didn't make sense. Instead of coming up with an alternate solution she just shrugs her shoulders and say oh well if it doesn't dry….
Sorbet charges a premium for Manis and Pedi's and I have no issue in paying the price however for that price I at least expect some good customer service-after all I am a paying customer and not getting anything for free. Eventually when I got to the till - I wasn't being by 50% discount-due to certain T&C's which makes no sense to me at all and I had have an argument in order to get the discount. A suggestion would be to include T&C's on the sms so that customers are informed before they get to the paypoint. Extremely disappointed at the poor service I received today and will rather go to Trish Nail bar down the road where prices are not exorbitant and you get treated with a smile.
I am complaining about my gelish nails
Good Morning
I have submitted a complaint a week ago but no one has gotten back to me
I had my nails done on the 29th at Bedfordview Dry bar.
I have done it before and it lasted close to 2 months this time within 2 weeks my nails started peeling.
I am not happy with the quality of the work that was done
Please advise as to how you can assist.
Regards,
Maria
eikestad mall, stellenbosch (gelish)
I herewith want to express my dissatisfaction with the poor service I received at Sorbet Eikestad Mall branch in Stellenbosch on 31 August 2018. The gelish which they applied, started peeling off and breaking my nails after one week. I have had my nails done at Somerset Mall branch on 03 August 2018 and I was highly satisfied with their professional service. When I visited Stellenbosch branch on 31 August 2018 to remove the gelish and to re-apply new gelish, my gelish nails that were done at Somerset West Mall were still displayed perfectly after a whole month, except for the nails that grew out. See photos attached.
absolute disregard for clients
Date: 17 & 18 Sept 2018 and various other dates
Since the new owners have taken over this branch I have had noting but issues with appointments. Always never the times I request or they call on the day to change the appointment. Yesterday was the last straw. I asked for an appointment for Friday and they messed that up too and today I got a call changing it for today at 16:00and then another call to move me to another tech...!
Why is it only Precious that can to natural nails with acrylics?!
Are the other Techs soooo poorly trained?!
Why is it that I cannot get any appointments at Sorbet Villageview?
Please assist me Sorbet Head office to correct this at this branch
Gelish (substandard execution)
I had my nails done on 31/08/2018 at 15.00 at the Sorbet in Eikestad Mall, Stellenbosch, and in less than a week the gelish chipped and the application of the gelish was executed poorly. The services were not up to par, despite the fact the services are expensive.
It would be appreciated if Sorbet repairs/re-does the nails or issues me with a refund.
Needless to say, i am not happy at all.
Same thing happened to me. Also 31 August 2018.
eyelash and eyebrow tint
I have now 3 bad experiences.
I am not someone that complaint but I need to because you need to improve...
I went 3 months ago to Sorbet in Kempton Park. Eyelash and Eye brow tint. The tint last 1 week then my eye lashes were blond again it was not proper tint at all.
Second time went to Kolonade Sorbet and the lady have tint my lashes and brows ok but while my eyes were close she cut my lashes shorter. I have never hear about this. I did have such nice natural eyelashes - 2 months ago.
2 weeks ago I went to Kempton Park sorbet - worse experience I ever have in my life.
Firstly she did put cotton under my eyes only Vaseline and was the whole time scared it would turn my skin black. Then she took the tint of. It start burning. I ask her to put some water or milk or eye drops in my eyes... She have done nothing and just ask if i am ok. Told her know talk hard to her ask her to give me two wet cottons that I could get the things out of my eyes. (She must have no experience at all) then when I could finally see through my eyes I told her my eye lashes is not tint. Its blond some part and black other parts... She told me that how it look ...
I have done tint from the age of 16 years and I am now 36 and it never look like this before...
I am very sorry to complaint but it is not only once a bad experience its 3 times now... I really did like Sorbet but I cant carry on like this. 3 times cost me money and every time I feel like I was bullied and pay for job done but its not done. Waste not only money but time and I start to feel scared now to go again especially after last experience.
Please let me know what you are going to do about it?
I am really very unhappy.

nails
I went to the sorbet in randridge mall.
I had tips done.
That only lasted 2 weeks the lady who did my nails was not gentle at all and now the tips are off and my nails are weak they brake.
I went back last week Friday all they did was give me a nail polish to strengthen my nails but said I have to wait 6 months till I can even wear normal nail polish.
And i am a freelance model so I need my nails looking good all the time.
Hope same one can help me.
face first anti-aging foundation + serum
Hi there,
I was very excited when I discovered that Sorbet have their own make-up range now and coulnt wait to try the foundation. I am 45 and have a combination skin. My skin needs a little extra coverage so when I tested the product on my skin in store, it seemed to cover well and the overal feel of the foundationwas smooth and silky.
Next day, getting ready for work, I applied the foundation after I applied a primer and then finished off with a finishing spray.
First I noticed that later in the morning my skin looked oily on the T-zone and as the day progressed, the foundation seems to grab onto the dry areas of my skin. By the time I went home, it looks like I wore little to no foundation. The foundation rubbed off on my clothes which bothered me. I thought let me give this foundation a chance and every day I tried something diffirent to find out what makes this foundation work. I applied foundation on the back of my hand to "warm it up" which helps the foundation apply evenly and smoothly. I used my fingertips. Then the next day I used a make up sponge either wet or dry. The following day I used a make up brush. Still I just did not seem to get the desired result.
My complaint is this : I am very disappointed in this foundation. Its way to oily and does absolutely nothing for a dry/combination mature skin. It oxidises as the day progresses and it draws emphasis to the dry areas on my skin as well as my pores. As for the price, its way over priced.
Kind regards,
Vanessa

Sorbet Springs Mall
So stock ordering system in place
No gellish colors available
Apparently Owner orders stock
But she does not order any
I have been there 3 weeks ago and reminded them to order the red matador gellish as well as order colors but they have no stock of nothing
I am very disappointed
It feels like the owner doesn't give a dam what her personnel is going through !
service at nail bar
I received very poor service when attending my nail appointment at Sorbet canal walk upper level. As I arrived for my appointment, the staff acted surprised even though I had booked in advance. I booked to have a gelish treatment on my feet and was haphazardly placed at the corner of the store as the rooms were being occupied. Other nail technicians were busy with clients right next to me and there was minimal space to place my personal items. I said to the technician that isn't a good experience as everyone walking past the store could see me having my nails done and I had to lift my legs up which was very uncomfortable. Having nails done is supposed to feel like a pamper session and one goes to a known brand to get quality service.I was horrified that the staff did not acknowledge my discomfort and treated me very badly. I will not be visiting this store again and I will be sure to share my poor experience with friends and family.
staff behaviour disgusting
Was shopping in checkers hyper with a senior lady from the church who touched a roll with her hand instead of using the utensils provided.
A sorbet employee in uniform who was standing next to the lady got into a full on argument with me regarding the elderly lady and started threatening to assault us.
She went on and on speaking in Zulu and then starting swearing at us and went on to tell her other friend, also an employee of sorbet that she will assault the elderly lady.
If this is the kind of behaviour that she displays outside of sorbet I would never encourage anyone to go to her for treatments at sorbet in Cornubia.
I think this woman is bipolar or something.
I don't agree with what the elderly lady did but she is in her 80's and that's no way to treat senior people.
This employee is an embarrassment to SORBET. What a shame...
gelish nails
Good Day, i am not a person person to complain i normally use Sobert Pavillion but on Friday (20.07.2018) i decided to use Sobert Windermere. Totally disappointed with my nails, the gel polish was put so thick that it looks like blobs on my nails. The gel does not even cover my nails and the most embarrassing remark i got, who did you nails so unity. When i called in i asked for a nail tech, i was given a lady who only working for a year in the industry and do even do nail art. Very disappointed never expected this from Sobert. Will never use this branch every again. I paid R 360.00 for this seriously not accepted.
waxing at nicolway sorbet
I am disgusted and irritated by the shocking service I received today. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my wax but she should be fired. She had a terrible attitude from the moment I walked in. She did half by hollywood wax because she wanted to knock off at 6pm. I understand I was late but there was at least 30min for the treatment.in my experience that is sufficient time. She argued with me after the treatment and blamed me that she wanted to leave long ago and it is my fault my treatment was half done. What kind of customer service is this? I have never met such a rude sorbet employee in my life.
sorbet long wear nail polish
To start with I must say I love sorbet nail colors and the nail hardener - tough cookie.
BUT I have a drying problem with the colors.
Whether it is long wear, gel pro or Glam.
I start with a base coat of nail hardener, then two coats of color and to finish a top coat. I give 5min drying timw between each thin layer. However after 60min the nail polish is still wet - smudges.
I went to a sorbet salon with my problem and they advised me to skip the nail hardener as that may be the reason the polish takes a while to dry.
So to be safe, I purchased a new color - Down Town- long wear. Came home and skipped the nail hardener as instructed, just to realise that I still have the same problem. Nail polish feels dry to touch but can't do anything with your hands because it smudge.
Please help
relax max massage
I was at Sorbet Tyger Valley Centre on the 26th of June for a relax max massage. Now I've been told that this is the massage to go for when feeling stressed and need some relax time.
As this was my first time for a massage like this I was very excited.
When I arrived on time at 10 I was taken in 10 minutes late. The lady that did the massage explained how it works to me and got started.
For the first 20 - 30 min she constantly massaged with only one hand and was busy with her cell phone in the other.
I did not once feel any pressure from her side. (meaning the massage was week en no effort was put into it.
Very unprofessional!
The massage was supposed to be 60 minutes but she was done at 11 and told me I could get up and get dressed and just left the room.
She did not even bother to ask me how I felt after.
Now I am very disappointed in the service I was given.
Is Sorbet's guarantee not the better feeling?
I am disgusted by the fact that after considering rather having my nails or hair done and choosing this massage because I needed to feel better this was the poor outcome.
I am a Financial Advisor with a wide client tel that would have referred many clients to your store, but after this bad service, I would rather refer them to someplace more professional and caring.

service/ product
To whom it may concern,
I have always gone to sorbet and i have never had problems with them hence why i continue to go back.
I have always gone to different branches however i have never gone to the blueroute branch before.
I made an appointment at the blueroute mall sorbet for a gelish manicure and off i went to the appointment - I chose a light pink and the lady that did my nails was lovely, so sweet and pleasant to deal with.
2 days later i noticed that my nails had turned orange, i called Sorbet (its terrible to actually get someone on the phone there as it takes more than 3 minutes for someone to answer)and i asked for a manager but there is never a manager available, i explained that my nails had turned orange and they said i should please come back and let them have a look at it and they will re do it which they did but after a big fuss as they mentioned they could not find the orginal booking and they needed to confirm this as i might need to pay for it (Excuse me? it was 2 days later and why should i pay for something AGAIN after paying R265.00 - Not cheap).
I chose one of their new red gel colors and off i went - Again i noticed under the red their was patches however i left it beacuse i was jsut so disspoainted in sorbet.
1 month later i made another appointment with sorbet blueroute (I did not want to book with them but they were the only branch that were available when i was able to go)
I explained to them that 3 nails broke and i explained my previous experiance with them and they said they would repair the 3 nails free of charge - So they did.
Well, they lady that did my nails had no care in the world as she leaves in 2 weeks time, i kept on having to tell her that she needs to coat the top of the nail and she did then she missed 2 of the nails and then re did them and half the nail looked terrible.
Im so sick ofthis branch and i will never ever return and now the top of my nails are fading - I dont want to return to this branch but i want my nails fixed.
Please get back to me with regards to a way forward but i refuse to return to this branch.
Thanks,
Christine

Bad customer service in Sorbet Dainfern
Im so disappointed and irritated by this one lady in store Zandi while Hazel was busy with my hair I asked to charge my phone and yes she did, there wasn't space and a phone was charging beneath the desk so she removed it and placed mine on.
so this lady Zandi comes pulls open the drawer and askes in front of me not knowing I understand the language why is her phone removed and Hazel told her to charge the clients phone she got made pulled it out and said its her station and she doesn't care and went on.
honestly her attitude is blady messed up and doesn't belong in an industry where clients are involved and claiming a station and being rude to her colleges, sort her out she's letting Sorbets name at Dainfern down.
Amazing service from Hazel she used her off day to do my hair I will recommend her service anytime.
my hair is spot-on
