Stitch Fix Stitch Fix Review: Great Customer Service, but Hit or Miss Clothes and Quality

I gotta say, I was pretty excited when I first heard about Stitch Fix. I mean, who doesn't love the idea of having someone else do all the hard work of clothes shopping for you? And let me tell you, their customer service was always on point. I had a package go missing once and they sent me a replacement right away, no questions asked. Any time I had an issue, they were quick to fix it and make sure I was happy.

But here's the thing - after using the service for over a year and spending a ton of money on clothes, I ended up canceling my subscription. Why, you ask? Well, despite giving them super detailed notes about my style preferences, I often ended up with clothes that just didn't fit me well or weren't my style at all. I mean, some of the stuff they sent me looked like something my grandma would wear (no offense, grandma). And even when I requested to keep a specific stylist, I would often end up with someone new anyway.

I tried to give them feedback on every single item I kept or returned, but it felt like they either didn't listen to me or took my feedback to the extreme. Like, I mentioned once that I liked olive green and suddenly everything they sent me was that color. I mean, come on, I don't need my whole wardrobe to be one color!

Eventually, I decided to cancel my subscription and just shop for clothes on my own. And you know what? I started to notice that the clothes I had bought from Stitch Fix just weren't holding up. I mean, I would expect $80 jeans and $45 shirts to last longer than a $5 blouse from Ross. The quality was just not there.

So yeah, while I loved the idea of Stitch Fix at first, I just don't think it's worth the price. The service is hit or miss, and the quality of the clothes just isn't up to par.

Stitch Fix Disappointing Experience with Stitch Fix: Overpriced and Cheaply Made Clothes

I was really excited to try out Stitch Fix, but unfortunately my experience was not great. I made sure to give them all the necessary information about my size, style preferences, age, and occupation. However, my first box was just okay. The pants fit well, but were too low cut for my taste. The tank top was cute, but had a missing button. I exchanged it for one with a button, but it shrank in the wash even though I followed the care instructions. The knit blazer was cute, but too big, and the canvas bag was oddly oversized. I felt like the prices were too high for what I received, but I gave honest feedback and sent everything back except for the tank top.

For my second box, I was extremely disappointed. The blazer was in the right size, but in a completely unflattering baby blue color. The patterned dress was not age-appropriate and looked like something a toddler would wear. The navy blue polka dot shirt was made of cheap polyester and was sleeveless, which I didn't like. The burnt orange top had dolman sleeves and felt cheap as well. The "gold" necklace had plastic marble details, which was a huge disappointment. I felt like I could have found better quality clothes at Target for the same price. I immediately sent everything back and cancelled my account.

While the customer service was cordial in their response to my cancellation email, I was disappointed that they didn't offer to refund my $20 or send me the next box for free. I would have been willing to pay for the pieces I wanted, but they didn't offer that option. Overall, I found the clothes to be cheaply made and overpriced. While I hate shopping, I would rather go shopping in person than use this service again. The only perk was that the clothes were made in the USA.

Stitch Fix Stitch Fix's Payment Method Caused Overdraft Fees - My Experience and Review

So, I had a bit of an issue with Stitch Fix and their payment method. When I was setting up my payment info on their website, I saw two options: enter my credit card info manually or choose PayPal. I opted for PayPal, but little did I know that my purchases were being directed to my Venmo account behind the scenes. This caused some issues with my bank account, as I never saw Venmo as an option and didn't know that my orders were going through instantaneously. I never even got the chance to review my order before it was submitted!

It wasn't until I received an overdraft notice from my bank that I realized there was a problem. I immediately contacted Stitch Fix and asked them to stop processing any orders I had in the queue, but they ignored me and continued to process the orders anyway. I even put a stop payment on my bank account, but Venmo started paying Stitch Fix instead and began charging me "recovery fees" because my Venmo balance was at zero. I returned almost all of the merchandise I purchased from Stitch Fix, but I was still hit with over $200 in fees.

I don't think I should be held responsible for these fees, as I never chose Venmo as my payment method. I believe that Stitch Fix owes me the money, as it was their poorly managed engineering that caused this problem. I did everything right on my end, but they're not looking at the facts and it's really frustrating. I attached a picture of my payment options to show that I never selected Venmo, but they're still insisting that I did. Overall, I think Stitch Fix needs to take responsibility for their mistakes and make things right with their customers.

Stitch Fix Stitchfix Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Poor Styling Choices

I've used Stitchfix a couple of times before, and I thought I was a preferred customer since I was on their plan. But my recent experience with them was a total letdown. I asked them to send me my next fix in time for my birthday, and I requested a complete outfit with shoes and jewelry. I didn't specify what kind of outfit I wanted, but I made sure to fill out all the questionnaires so they could work within my size and style preferences. I live in a hot area, so I asked for something suitable for spring or summer.

Now, here's the thing. I've been working hard to lose weight, and I've gone down from a size 1X to a large. I updated my profile with my new sizes, but when my fix arrived, it was all 1X clothing. I was so disappointed because I had no birthday outfit. When I emailed them to complain, I expected an apology and a solution. Instead, they canceled my account! I couldn't believe it. I had spent almost $600 on their clothes, and that was the response I got. They didn't even try to handle the customer service issue properly. They say you can talk to your stylist, but I never heard from mine.

It's frustrating to see how little some companies care about their customers these days. Stitchfix had a hard time working within my price range too, even though I gave them a generous budget. I told them I wouldn't spend more than $150 on accessories, but they sent me $300 purses! What's the point of that?

I wouldn't recommend Stitchfix to anyone, and I'll warn people not to fall for their buying game. They don't seem to care about their customers, and that's a shame. It's hard to find a company that values its reputation and public perception these days.

Stitch Fix Stitch Fix Review: A Cool Idea, But Not for Everyone

Stitch Fix is a pretty cool idea, but it's not for everyone. If you're into trendy clothes and like to take risks with your fashion choices, then this might be the perfect service for you. They offer fixes for men and kids too, but I'm a woman so that's what I tried. I was getting pretty tired of trying to find business casual clothes for my part-time job, so I thought I'd give Stitch Fix a shot. I mean, maybe a stranger could find something I'd like better than I could.

My first fix had a scarf, jeans, dress pants, and two tops. I wasn't thrilled about the scarf because I had said I didn't want accessories, but I did keep one of the tops because it would go well with the blazer I have to wear for work. I sent the jeans back because I had just bought a pair the month before, and the other top was made of a material that would cause a lot of static. After I sent my returns back, I went through the steps to let them know what I liked and didn't like. I think I also liked the dress pants, but they were too expensive.

The second fix I got had a scarf, jeans (again), two tops, and a long, lightweight sweater. I kept the sweater because I liked the color, but it's going to be hard to match with anything. I was pretty annoyed that my stylist didn't listen to me when I said I didn't want jeans or scarves, but I decided to give them one more chance.

The third and final fix I got had no jeans (finally), but there was still a scarf. I loved the dress pants they included, but they were too expensive for me to keep. So I canceled my account because I'm going through a big career change and won't need to dress up anymore. Plus, the clothes they send are pretty pricey, and I can't really afford them. Also, the stylists really need to pay attention to the feedback. My friend tried it too and said she didn't want jeans, but they sent her a pair anyway.

Stitch Fix Stitch Fix Review: Disappointing Inventory, Ignored Feedback, and Poor Sizing

I gotta say, I used Stitch Fix a few years back and it was pretty good. I was buying clothes for work at the time and they really hooked me up with some great stuff. But then I started working from home and I updated my profile to say that I didn't need business clothes anymore. But guess what? They kept sending me business clothes! And when I needed maternity clothes, they totally let me down. The first Fix was a total bust and nothing fit or worked for my style. The second Fix was even worse because they sent me multiple duplicates of the same item that was too big for me. And get this, they just offered it in a different color! I told my stylist about it and she said that sometimes people like to try things in different colors. But come on, it was the exact same item that didn't fit me in the first place!

Anyway, I decided to give Stitch Fix another chance after I had my baby. I specifically said that I didn't need any more sweaters because I already had too many. But what did they send me? Mostly sweaters! And most of the items were too big for me because I'm between sizes. I had to send everything back and I was out the $20 styling fee. I gave them detailed feedback about what I didn't need and what my sizing issues were. But when they offered me a replacement, I thought it meant that there wouldn't be another styling fee. Nope, they charged me again! And the clothes they sent me were even worse than the first time. More sweaters, dress pants, and a business casual dress. It was so bad that it was actually kind of funny, except that I wasted $40 and didn't get any clothes that I could actually wear.

I was so fed up that I messaged them and asked them to close my account. They didn't offer me a refund or any kind of assistance, they just confirmed that they closed my account. I was so mad that I blasted them on social media. Finally, they messaged me back and offered to help. But it was too little, too late. I read some reviews on Glassdoor and it seems like they use computer programs to choose clothes now. And honestly, the program doesn't work. They completely ignored my feedback and requests, and the sizing was all wrong. The reviews from employees say that the inventory is bad, which I totally believe. They kept offering me the same items over and over again, even though I had already declined them.

If you're over a size 14 or if you're looking for maternity clothes, I would definitely say to save your money. The inventory is too small and not diverse enough to meet specific requests. I added some pictures of the items they offered me when I specifically asked for casual clothes in the middle of winter and said that I didn't need any more sweaters. They offered me blazers, sweaters, a weird dress, a blouse, and even a mini skirt! It's just not worth it.

Stitch Fix Stitch Fix Review: Hit or Miss? Disappointing Experience with Algorithm-Driven Styling

I'm a busy mom with two kids, and I recently signed up for Stitch Fix for myself and my 10-year-old daughter. My daughter's first box was a hit, but her second box was a complete miss. They even sent a coat that was similar to a piece we hated in the first box! The jeans they sent were also too small, but unfortunately, they were already sold out of the larger sizes, so we couldn't exchange them.

My first box was also a fail, except for one lovely sweater. The shorts they sent were way overpriced, and I found them for a fraction of the cost at another online store. I also have a hormonal imbalance, so I need more natural fabrics that breathe. I provided feedback on all the items, but my next fix was still a miss. I vetoed two pieces that were the same sweater I had purchased from my last fix in different colors, and the rest were just not my style or color palette.

I gave very specific feedback and even linked two items from their site that I wanted. However, my next fix was even worse than before, and my daughter even noticed it. The stylist has no control over the computer algorithm, so even if they see what I want, it doesn't matter. They sent me a 100% polyester jacket, even though I told them I couldn't wear it. They also sent shoes that were not my style at all.

The stylists are just there to write little notes about the clothes the algorithm picks, and they have no override control. While they have some nice styles and clothes, they will send clothes that aren't listed anywhere on the site. They also don't offer any kind of discount on their site, which is a shame. If they offered a buy/keep 5 items, send nothing back and get 25% off, I would use their freestyle option to just build my own fix. Since they don't, I think my daughter and I are done with them.

I did email them directly with all my feedback, and I'm waiting to see how their customer service handles it. If they do, I will come back and update this review. However, if I haven't, you can assume their customer service is just as bad as the rest of it.

While a deal is nice, I was fine with spending a good bit of money for the convenience of access to multiple brands in my family's specific sizes sent right to my door. However, if Stitch Fix can't send us anything that we like, what's the point of having stylists? It makes zero sense.

Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service that offers a unique and personalized shopping experience to its customers. The company was founded in 2011 by Katrina Lake, who saw an opportunity to revolutionize the way people shop for clothes. Stitch Fix has since grown to become one of the most popular and successful online styling services in the world.

The process of using Stitch Fix is simple and straightforward. Customers begin by filling out a detailed style profile, which includes information about their size, style preferences, and budget. They can also provide additional information about their lifestyle, such as their occupation, hobbies, and any upcoming events they may need outfits for.

Once the style profile is complete, customers can schedule a "Fix" - a shipment of five hand-picked items chosen by a personal stylist based on their preferences and feedback. The items can include clothing, shoes, and accessories, and are shipped directly to the customer's doorstep. Customers have three days to try on the items, keep what they like, and return what they don't. They can also provide feedback to their stylist, which helps to improve future Fixes.

One of the unique features of Stitch Fix is its use of data and technology to personalize the styling experience. The company uses algorithms and machine learning to analyze customer data and make personalized recommendations. This allows the stylists to better understand each customer's style preferences and make more accurate selections.

Stitch Fix also offers a range of additional services, such as a maternity styling service, a men's styling service, and a "Shop Your Looks" feature that allows customers to purchase additional items that complement their Fixes.

Overall, Stitch Fix offers a convenient and personalized shopping experience that is tailored to each customer's individual style and preferences. With its use of data and technology, the company is able to provide a high level of personalization and accuracy that sets it apart from traditional shopping experiences.
