This complaint is concerning StoneDine Cookware, advertised on television. Both the infomercial and the website advertise the product for $29.97 (+25.75 S&H). AFTER you give them your payment ifo, they ask if you would like to pay full price and get free shipping. FULL PRICE?!?!?!? NOWHERE on the website or commercial do they tell you what the full price is. You come to find out it's around $299.00 for the order. Now you're stuck getting the product shipped with no way of cancelling your order. You're stuck having to return the product and you're out $50-something dollars in the process. When you finally find a number to call they tell you they can't cancel your order because it takes 24-48 hours to process, which is BS. When I called a few hours later, they said it was already shipped. How s that possible? This is a total scam geared towards confusing the consumer and getting their card number so they could run up charges.
Here is the company website with the false price advertised.

I normally do not chime in, but I do read the reviews & complaints on all products prior to getting on their web site, which saves me alot of unnecessary headache. Any Companies web site is a sales directed tool designed to set the preverbal hook, and close the sale. The question I ask is, why do some people automatically get the Debit/Credit Card out, and willing to type those supposedly confidential 16 didgits after seeing an Infomercial that's driven to getting you mentally pulled into their sales propoganda before reading reviews on a neutral unaffiliated web site, and then start pointing fingures while complaining that youv'e been "mislead", "ripped-off", "decieved" etc? We have more information at the tips of our fingures, but have forgotten the basic fundimentals of taking responsability of our own actions! I am probably one of the worse compulsive shoppers anyone has ever met, but I DO NOT START CRYING OUT to others when I FAILED TO PROTECT ME & MY FINANCES, because I CHOSE NOT TO READ THE INFORMATION that's available! It IS available, but YOU have to STOP BEING LAZY & LOOK! I BEG, PEOPLE, PLEASE take acountability for your own actions, and stop relying on others to clean YOUR MESS up! Save your complaints for businesses that are intentionally deceiving us buyers, and not some clever sales ploy. REMEMBER: With Freedom Comes Responsibility! (I am not, nor is any of my family/friends affiliated in any way with this company.)
I also went to the homepage of stonedine and it does tell you the full price. It is very clear and right there in plain sight. I am looking into buying new cookware, but not ready to invest as much money as they are asking.
I have bad experience with Stonedine cookware... The first this company has very poor and unprofessional customer service. I was wondering to purchase Stonedine cookware set and called this company to ask them about this cookware. My question was "does this cookware PTFE and PFOA free?" This is very important and this is the reason why I'd like to change my Teflon cookware for stone coated. Teflon cookware coating with PTFE and PFOA chemicals and under high temperature fuming harmful for human and pets poison. Stonedine rep. and even supervisor don't know what PTFE and PFOA are!? They were really rude and unprofessional.
Another think this site www.stonedine.com is complete SCAM! After I placed my order I've got info "Your order will be shipped in 3-4 weeks"!
And they are all the time pushed me to pay $29 extra for 3 day delivery! They charging $27.95 for Ground service which is costs about $15 for this package. Their warehouse located 12 miles from my house and 3-4 weeks delivery! The company should inform their customers about delivery range before placing order but not here... I called customer service to cancel my order after I've got this info but VERY RUDE REP said your order not in the system and I should not bother them next 48 hours! So, guys I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND I THINK STONEDINE LTD DOESN'T HAVE A BRIGHT FUTURE!
In my case, I purchased the pans set and continued to pay the monthly installments. My problem came when I went to try and contact Brand Developers and was unable to find a working number. (I have no reason to return the pans. They are BY FAR the best pans I've EVER used. It's been a year, and they still look and cook like brand new high quality pans. ) I used the phone number on the web site and I got a hold of a different company that gave me a different phone number. This new number had been disconnected. I just wanted to find out how many payments were left and how much was the original price since I had forgotten and never received any paperwork from them stating the price or the payments. Since I had used my Credit Union's Visa debit card for the transaction I was able to file a dispute and change my debit card number canceling my old one and they were not able to pull anymore money from my account. I have since received a typed post card stating that my order is ready to be shipped but they've been unable to obtain authorization from my credit card. Finally I get a phone number to contact them with. In short, the pans are of exceptional quality, but Brand Developers business practices are highly questionable if not unethical. So BE WARE!
Stonedine is a BBB accredited business since July 19, 2010. Current rating is "A-". 3 complaints, and all have been resolved.

I just wanted to find out if the pots and pans were worthy of the price that the web site stated ($299). I had to read page after page of crap to find my answer. Out of all the people that actually commented on the cook ware, 100% of them were very satisfied with the product.
When I searched for stonedine pans I got https://secure.stonedine.com/special_offer/index.aspx?SID=SE&gclid=CKb21salmqoCFQ8r7AodUinmww&AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
It says the full price right on it. didn't have to enter anything.
When it says a price for a trial period you know that's not the full price.
Well i was up late last night when i happened accross the infomercial for stonedine. So i proceded to look them on the web as others have done and at the bottom of the website it states the total cost with shipping of 299.97. Break that down into 10 payments of 29.97, after which i went to the BBB and found that this company has an F rating. So this leaves me to wonder If this pot&pan set are so good how in the world can they even be in business with an F rating from the BBB. My wife has gone through 4 sets sense we have been together and she isnt rough on them at all it just ends up being poor quality. I would love to purchase this set for her but not at the expense of what i have read here today.
I just went on the stonedine.com site b/c I find the commercial so interesting if foods can cook like that on top of the stove. I currently use my NuWave for almost everything... all meats for sure and its the best cooking ware I've purchased. Now I am leaning towards getting new pots for my stove top cooking and stone Dine certainly is pulling my buttons. But I have to say, without ordering or leaving the home page of stone dine, the price is right there ! You must read... No way that cooking ware is 29 Bucks... It clearly says pay 29 to try for 30 days if you decide to keep pay 9 more payments. OR you can get one pot only for 3 payments of same which is not as economical the site says also itselfe but can satisfy the sceptical before buying a complete set. Its all about R.E.A.D.I.N.G. slowly and understanding what you read . Now does anyone have these pots and can shed some light on how well the cooking is and how the food tastes ? That would be more beneficial in these discussions than helping folks with credit cards that don't read before using their cards .. many thanks...
You all got to be kidding me... I should take all your credit cards away b/c you don't take the time to read and instead you fault the website. Not even half way down the HOME page right under FREE Gifts - under the big red words "return your coodware in 30 days and keept the knife set..." in fine plain print for buyers ... that there are 9 more payments of 29.97 if you decide to keep. First of all you had to expect that a 12 year warranty on pot set must cost at least 200 bucks ! No way all those pots would cost just 29.97... that is the 30 day money back offer. Good Grief. I'm surprised at you all...
What I want to know is if anyone has these pots do they work. I found the website describing to product to be just fine and captivating. But does it work.. I have the nUWave and it was worth every penny. Now I am considering adding stonedine to my cooking utensils... Can anyone tell me if it works ? thanks so much... Please read and apologize for misrepresenting stone dine !
The product is a fraud and nonep, who states the company, Brand Developers USA, discloses the price is mendacious and is likely employed by the company. You will not find a price anywhere on the StoneDine website. You have to first purchase the pans before they disclose the price they are charging. Nonep is as liable as Brand Developers USA because of the false statements. The truth is that Brand Developers USA does not inform you that the $29.97 is the first of ten payments until after you provide your credit card and personal information. Brand Developers USA buries the price with the intent to be dishonest. This practice is immoral and should be illegal, the fact that it is not illegal reflects poorly on the scruples in our laws and our anti-regulation environment that exists to enrich a few while pilfering the modest funds that remains in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
DO NOT TRUST this company or anyone supporting Brand Developers USA, LLC. They are abviously involved in the company. THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU gives them an 'F' rating. Yes that is the lowest possible rating. The reasons for the bad rating is their failure to respond to complaints.
complain, complain . you all need to go back to your sand box days, and lean to take responsiblty for your own actions. look at the product and make your own mind up. do your own test to see how well it preforms. i ordered my pan from (jenifer ) she was very helpfuland explained every thing to me i know that i will get 1 pan, and not the set and how many payments my cradit card will be charged. this is not the only product i will test. check out utube for safepan and orgeenic, get well informed and ask questons. rember the only dumb question is the one not asked.
That is TYPICAL..! people just hear or see what they want and NOT what is there. In the infomercial it specifies CLEARLY that for a TRIAL period of 30 days you pay $29.95 It does NOT tell you that it is the full price. and also in the web site it specifies the full price and the TRIAL price. I do NOT work for the company... as a matter of fact I CAN'T STAND hearing that IDIOT in the infomercial... his accent is EXTREMELY IRRITATING and his voice is TERRIBLY aggravating. I do NOT have enough money to pay these EXORBITANT prices for a pan. Therefore I must settle for regular Teflon pans that I have to buy at Wall-Mart every 4 years (approximately)
How much does this product cost? Also, who is the guy in the tv advertisement dressed up like a chef?
What is the full price for this set? Also, who is the guy in the television ad dressed up to look like a chef?
People really should READ things in their entirety before complaining! It states clearly in several locations once in top left while listing the contents of package your purchasing and again at bottom of page hovering obviously close to the submit button where you would of clicked that 3o dollars is the payment price and goes on to tell you the full price of the product ..
*If you're delighted with and keep your cookware, just make 9 additional payments of $29.97. Your total for all payments is $299.97 + S&H.
REALLY hard to miss that RIGHT below the order now button. I ordered mine via phone as I don't care to submit my information over internet but even not filling out the form I noticed the price total right there. The price is about same or less than most equivalent materials anywhere. Amazon.com offer just one of the pans for 130.00. I've ordered mine and with expedited shipping my first payment came out to 80.00 and has already started shipping in less than 90 minutes. Please ignore ignorant posters.
I DO NOT WORK FOR THE COMPANY. I AM A CONSUMER. With that being said, some of y'all are straight IG'NANT. Not ignorant, b.u.t. IG'NANT. It states clear as day what the full price would be on the website. I have had this complete set since April or May of this year and they work just as the commercial said they would work. Easy to cook and clean in. Sheeple, please, pay attention and read everything in it's entirety. A prime example would be to watch the South Park episode called The Human Cent-ipad. That should tell you how IG'Nant you really are by not reading. Peace.
I was on my last payment installment when three caps on the lids, the solder snap off, from what the f*#king heat of my stove! so very pissed off, 370.00 buks for [censored]E!
the Web site: https://secure.stonedine.com/index.aspx is for Stonedine and has a series of photos and the full price. I did, however check out the site: http://www.stoneline.co.nz/ and http://www.stoneline.com.au/ there are photos and prices of their range of products. what i find interesting is the 8 pc set offered by stoneDINE is $299.97 the exact set (according to the photos) at stoneLINE is $786.00. Now, Only a complete ### would pay that sort of money for a 'set of pans'. so my questions: which company is telling the truth? if the true price is $786.00 how is the other mob making any money? or more to the point what price is the actual value of these pots? when I see such a broad gulf between prices like this I tend to think the real price and Actual quality leave a lot to be desired.
On the website right next to where it says $29.97 there is an asterisk. Which means you need to go down to the bottom of the page and read the details! IDIOTS!
This StoneDine company certainly has some questionable practices.
First of all, their servers are not secure - you may find a "http" page instead of an encrypted site (https) when you attempt to enter your personal information.
Last night, I was CONSIDERING purchasing a set of cookware from Stonedine. As I was going through the checkout process, I was bombarded with a series of pages asking me to purchase "additional" pieces. I was somewhat leery of the site to begin with and decided PRIOR to a verification of purchase page, to leave the site.
However, I was charged $57.52 and $1.00 verification by Stonedine. There was no final confirmation of the purchase on the site or an email from Stonedine, and I only discovered the charge through my bank's email alert. I even checked the account last night and at the time I checked, only the $1.00 verification was showing. I did NOT complete the process.
I sent an email to Stonedine demanding they cancel the order immediately. I also notified my bank in the event Stonedine does not cancel the order as I requested.
Maybe the cookware is great, but the Stonedine site, its lack of a final confirmation page prior to checkout and an email verification that a purchase was made, were all lacking. I would never order from a company whose Internet security is so lax. Heavens alone knows who else can get this information.
Please take a close look at the screenshot of the page I uploaded. One picture is certainly worth a thousand words.
In this graphic, the "Free shipping" is easier to read...
Large image is difficult to see - uploading another screenshot of the insecure webpage (http).
Uploading a more defined shot of the insecure webage (http).
I would like to hear from someone who has bought it and used it, are the Pans any good ? for a set to be $300.00 I would expect them to be, However I've only heard from people who did not read ALL of the info. I did and it does clearly state the total cost and details, BUT has anyone Tried this Product...
$300.00 for a Set of pans is a Basic price, not real high but not real cheap, if the Pans work, then ok...
so if someone has tried it Please Post that so that others will know if it is worth it or not.
Thank you and good luck to everyone.

I purchased Stonedine several years ago and love them. I am ordering a set for my daughter for Christmas today. They are worth every penny. In the last 42 years of married life I have purchased Revere Ware, Calphalon, pots and pans from QVC and HSN. There is no comparison. These are definitely the best!
You need to read the positive responses here, look at the wording, no one I know calls pots and pans (cookware or top-line gourmet set) and I am a chef these are words shills use to BS you . These pans are crap we ordered one just to see what they are like. $25 shipping is excessive and stainless steal is the worst possible conductor of heat, copper is the best and good copper sets key word here is sets are about $299. Go to cutlery and more (they have an online store and actually sell commercial equipment for what it should cost) and buy something that actually is worth what you spend. No I don't work for them. I have been a chef for 30years and these pans are garbage. IF they are selling it on TV don't buy it it's crap. Their website is confusing and deceptive. IF the price is not on the front page a BIG RED FLAG SHOULD GO UP, use common sense.
I disagree with the complaint in regards to the price for Stonedine being unclear. It is a tv offer and it clearly states that that the $29.95 price is a "trial offer". Most infomercials use this type of tactic to entice impulse buyers - make the price unbelievable! You have to remember that the initial price is for a trial period. They want you to try it and see that it's worth all the other payments. They want you to keep the product, and face it, most people won't go through the hassle of shipping it back anyways. SO, IS IT WORTH IT?... If it is as good as they say, then 300 bucks for a complete cookware set is pretty good, especially if you compare to other top of the line cookware sets sold at Macy's, or Williams-Sonoma, or Crate and Barrel. My father-in-law purchased Stonedine 7 months ago and swears by it, and he cooks a lot! He felt so strongly about the way the cookware performs that he bought my husband and I a set. We have been using ours (a gift) for about 2 months and so far so good. The only reason I stumbled on to this here website is to find out more about the company and the product. I have not yet checked the BBB. One review said that Stonedine has an A- rating and another says it has an F rating. What I have found to be true is that information on the internet about Stonedine is VERY VERY limited and that makes me nervous! Is this stuff safe? Where is it manufactured? Will it last the 12 yrs. as it claims...etc. Still, 300 bucks for some good cookware is not bad. We used Caphelon, which is sold (high-priced) at all retail stores in Calif. It lasted about 10 yrs. of moderate use. Supposedly it has that unsafe, unhealthy non-stick cancer-causing coating. Personally, I am not fond of gimick type stuff and stick with good old fashioned products that have lasted the test of time and have been around for at least a decade and are sold by reputable businesses, but of course you will pay more. My husband always says, you get what you pay for. Stonedine...hmmm, we shall see, won't we? Cheers, Amy
Checked the BBB on the internet and found Stonedine Cookware in Chino, CA received an F rating for customer service issues ranging from delivery problems to warranty replacements. Had 12 complaints in 3 years, 8 in the last yr. alone! A few of the complaints were resolved, but many were left unresolved by the company. Looks to me like they just said screw it! But they sure are interested in making those sales and getting Stonedine out there! Hmmm... three years in the U.S. Doesn't look like the business is doing very well. Hope their product is good.
I ordered other items from StoneLine based in Germany. The price is steep but the food turns out great. Over the years I have had so many sets of pots that don't make the food cook was well as these. I must be the ### slatabaadfast is talking about. My sauteed unions are never burnt. Frying item in the pan with little oil get dark but they don't burn.
To: pisseddude29, , , Replacement parts are available through the company in Germany. StoneLine.eu The only problem is you have to send the money by wire transfer through your bank. It was a hassle but the cookware is worth it.
Just for anyone who is confused about the websites, StoneLine is the parent company of StoneDine. Have a nice day.
To slatbaadfast: This is the website I visited. http://www.very-titan.de/en/STONELINE+pots+pans/Cooking+pot+sets/STONELINE+cookware+set+8+pc.html The $249.95 is roughly what we pay when you order from them. The only inconvenience is you have to send the money by wire transfer and pay an additional fee to the bank. The only problem with that is the information they send you has to be entered by your bank from the bottom of the page to the top. They print it in a confusing manner. My first purchase went through fine. The second purchase did not go through on the first attempt because the Banker didn't enter the information correctly and I was charged by both banks. I waited for the original Bank personnel to return from vacation to resubmit it the correct way.
I agree with Nonep! Although, is says nothing about a cancellation policy, most intelligent buyers would ask before buying. The front page of their website clearly states there will be 9 more payments of $29.97 for a total cost of $299.97 plus SH. This is one of the largest problems with the people in the USA nowadays. No one wants to be responsible for researching. "Its not my fault, I didn't know!" Grow up and read the entire program, ask questions and know before you buy!
The fine print at the bottom states:
*Offer Details: With this exclusive offer you can try StoneDine for the low price of only $29.97 plus S&H. If you're delighted with and keep your cookware, just make 9 additional payments of $29.97. Your total for all payments is $299.97 + S&H.
If you pay attention to the comercial its considered a soft offer. Which means they dont present a price. Second you are not comitted to the order unless you purchase on the website. If you pruchase from the order line you have the option to cancel before you get locked into an order. Also they provide shipping back on the return so there is no out of pocket costs. Again in th eoffer pitch again plenty of people complaining about something they bother to pay attention to when the offer is made wether on the web or order line get a brain people and use it. So many smucks who dont use there ears or brains to amkes decisions.
Having read all the previous comments, I am still undecided about buying stonedine cookware. I do like the look of it and around $300 is not a huge amount to pay if the set really does what they say. I will be doing some more research before I buy. I do have some stainless steel pots that I bought over 20 years ago, they are still going strong and cost me around $400 for the set. Can't remember which company, but I'm pretty sure they were made in Germany.
My complaint is that I love the stonedine frying pan that I bought last year as far as the pan itself, however, the handle has come off and will not stayed screwed in. I contacted the company on October l1, 2011 and was told they would ship out a new handle to me. It is now March l3, 2012 and I have heard nothing from them other than when I contacted them in January and they told me the handle was on back .order. No e-mails, phone calls or snail mail from them. It is too bad because I like the pan so much I was considering buying the whole set but now I will purchase nothing from them. A company with customer service this poor will not stay in business. I am in the process of trying to find out the name of their CEO and contacting him or her to see if I will have any luck resolving my problem.
