They caught me in a weak moment. I never order from door to door salespeople but this young girl sounded legit with here speech. Started out saying she is practicing her public speaking skills and asked if I ever had to do public speaking. This draws you into her conversation. Then pulls out the list of magazines and talks about earning points for a trip to Cancun, Jamaica or Bahamas. I normally don't order magazines but felt I could help her out so placed an order. I should have seen the red flag when she didn't give me a list of the cost of magazines but just asked me to pick one out and she would let me know. As soon as I did she writes it on the receipt, which also looked very legit, and gave me the prices of $55 for 2 year script to ESPN mag. After she left I looked up the company on the computer and saw all the complaints. I immediately when outside to see if I could catch her around the neighborhood and she happened to be walking back past my house. I stopped her and said I wanted my check back. Of course she refused and said I had to fill out the back of the receipt and send it in to get a refund. I said no you have my check and I want it back now. She started walking away and kept refusing but I kept following her insisting she give it back. Finally after trying to flag down cars going by and asking them to call the police she said ok but we had to go back to my house to get my copy of the receipt back. We did and she gave me the check but then not thinking again I thought why did she need that back when she already had her copy. I called the police and they road around looking for her and caught the whole suburban full of them. They said they got all her papers from her too. I was worried about them getting all my address and info and scamming me further.
I wrote a check and later found out from my boyfriend that account has been closed for almost a year now.
I orderd some magazines from this girl, i thought it would be a nice suprize for my boyfriend. I am SO glad i decided to tell him because the checking account i wrote the check from hasnt been open for about a year now. so there is no account. I have never been in trouble for ANY THING and i certanly dont want trouble from writing a check(thats in my boyfriends name) that has no account. I am so very sorry for this mistake but need to cancel these checks ASAP.

On November 15, 2010 I had a knock at my door. When I opened the door this kid introduced himself by the name of Aaron and claimed he was from a local high school and they were doing a fundraiser. He talked circles around me and convinced me to spend $60 on a subscription. After he left I looked up the company online and found all these complaints against the Sunshine Subscription Agency. I am mailing back the receipt that has to be returned to cancel the subscription. I have also called the phone number listed and no one has answered. When my bank opens up in the morning I am putting stop payment on the check. Is there anything else that I can do to prevent them from getting my money?

My daughter just moved into college and a man came to the door to sell the magazines. He made my daughter and her roommate feel very uncomfortable talking about their appearances. He then went on to talk about the magazines telling the girls it would only cost them $1. They agreed to buy ONE and the guy proceeded to ask question not relevant at all to the magazine. He then wrote them a reciept and made them sign. He ended up charging them each $42. They couldnt turn back because they were scared and had already signed with no awareness on the price except for the fact he told them it was only $1. We would like the subscription cancelled and our money back. Please contact us back.

To no avail. I am angry at the thought of knowing
That some one would steel from my four year old

My daughter and myself order magazines from a college age boy and were told our magazines would be arriving in the mail in approximately 3 weeks..well almost 4 months later we still haven't gotten anything and continue to get the run around from the main office in Florida. Obviously this is nothing more than a scam of the American people..I hope this catches up with this company and they are brought to justice for all the money they have taken wrongfully from innocent people...
on 4/17/09 payed a young kid name Jared Gargner $42 for magazines that I never rec as of 6/09...I have reciept for money payed...now I see complaints from allover...no one even anwers the phone number that I have...please reply Susan
PAID BY CHECK #10569 FOR $45 ON 28 OCT 2014 AND DID NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING.
i just gave the two girls my check and as soon as they left i looked them up online and seen all these posts. i went out to chase after her and they were gone. my neighbor said they got in a van and left. im going to cancel my check because this sounds like a fishy story to me.
Even if you did get to talk to someone, they will tell you you are past the cancellation period, so they won't give you a refund. Anything you say to them will not change their minds.
Unfortunately, you were scammed out of your money.

On 6/5/08 I got a knock on my door and two college kids were standing there asking if I want to buy a magazine subscription. I ordered two books/magazines for my daughter one being My Little Pony and the other is Disney Princess. Now the receipt says that it will be 90 to 120 days for delivery which was fine but as of today we still have not received them. My husband called the Sunshine Subscription Agency to see what the problem was and they had told him that they were no longer being published and to send in our receipt and we will get refunded so he hung up with them and told me the news. I wanted to know what else there was that we could get and why a letter or phone call had not been placed to let us know. So he called back and talked to the same lady and was asking her the questions and she seemed to have gotten irritated and told him that there was nothing she could do and to send in the receipt and that they are very busy and there were only three people working in that office and then hung up on him. So I called back and spoke to a lady and she told me her name was Barbara Bee and I told her of my situation and she told me that she could refund my money and send me a complimentary subscription, which was fine. So then I asked her the name of the lady that my husband had talked to and told her that she hung up on him and she told me that she doesn't know and that there are a lot of people working there today, so I told her that I didn't mind waiting. So she put me on hold for a couple of minutes and the lady that my husband talked to got on the phone and told said "what is it that you want me to do? we are very busy I have already told your husband what I can do I don't know what else you expect me to do so have a good day!" and then she hung up on me. So I dialed again and all I heard was them pick up the phone and hang it back up. So again I dial, same thing...after three or four times of calling my frustration level was way up there. So I dial again and the same lady answer that hung up on us before, so I told her that I could do this all day and she said, yelling at me mind you, "it's pretty pathetic that this is what you have to do all day! If you want to keep calling go right ahead it's not going to get you anywhere!" and she hung up. By this time I was BOILING. So I called back and Barbara Bee answered the phone and I asked her what the name of her boss is (Vincent R. Pitts, they said he was on vacation until the 15th) and to let him know that the BBB will be contacted. She tried to reason with me saying that she already told me what she can do and she doesn't know why I am so upset. So I explained to her that I have never witness such horrific customer service, and that there is no excuse for that lady to hang up on us that many times. So she asked me what I wanted and why I keep calling. I told her that all I wanted was for her (we found out her name could be Susan Rose) to apologize to my husband. She said "well you talked to her" and I interupted and said no I didn't talk to her she rambled on yelling at me and then hung up on me! I have never been so disrespected...never. I really can't believe their actions. I placed a complaint with the BBB and I looked up the address to see if any other complaints have been placed about them and a different compay name came up, but they had the same address and do the same thing that the Sunshine Subscription Agency does.
