Heads up to all Pageant parents! I found out about an upcoming SU Pageant on line and contacted the company for more information. After what ended up being more than a half dozen emails where I requested specific information rules, expectations for the events and a list of required and optional events, I received only short emails with few details and i again requested a registration packet be emailed to me. When I asked about optionals and fees several times, the only responses I could get was there is "photogenic, hospitality, portfolio and more". The email also said I should sign up immefiately, because of course, the early bird registration ends tomorrow! That's interesting the special was ending because it wasn't the end of the month, it was just the middle of the week, first week of the month. It seems that a company that is supposedly the leader in pageantry does not know what a standard registration packet looks like, and I don't appreciate being pressured to sign up when I have almost no information. The pageant itself has about a $600 fee which is on the higher end for natural young girls pageants. I wouldn't mind paying that for a quality event, but apparently SU either doesn't know what they are doing, or they are too busy trying to sign my daughter up for a photo shoot- 2 head shots for $400-outrageous! Heads up also to SU! Their home office islocated in an area where there are dozens of pageants available for young ladies throughout the year. If they want to be seen as a leader in the pageant industry they will need to get their paperwork and website together. See other Pageant websites and view their paperwork. Parents, never sign up with a pageant organization who cannot provide these basics!
