In the latter part of year 2022 Syncrony Bank financed carpet and tile installed by Empire Today Carpet and Flooring in Las Vegas, Nevada. The total cost was approximately $3000, I paid all of the money I owed before the promotional period was up except for $59.68, unbeknownst to me. I'm an elderly person and when I received a bill for around $600 or more (I can't remember) from Synchrony, I didn't realize that they had charged me all this interest for not paying $59.68 until much later, I was just paying the bill. Finally, when I received extra money I attempted to pay it off and get rid of them for good. On January 30, 2024 I sent them $400 because the last bill I could find dated 11/22/23 said $437.65. I figured I owed less since I had been paying, They didn't send a bill every month, only occasionally, Today (2/13/24) I called to see if I was paid off. They said I was except for the $59.68 promotional fee. That's when I finally understood the situation. I was highly upset and said a few choice words but was going to pay anyway until the CS rep lectured me on being rude before I could pay. That was the last straw.
