Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Task Easy Lawn Service
Task Easy is not as easy as it sounds! I tried to get a lawn service on June 27, 2019, and they sent me an email saying they were assigning a contractor to my property. They promised to email me 24 hours before the contractor arrived. But on June 30th, I had to follow up because I still hadn't heard anything. I was disappointed to find out that there was no contractor assigned to my property, and I didn't receive any notification about it. Task Easy canceled my request, saying they couldn't find a contractor in my area.
I should have learned my lesson, but I decided to give them another chance. On July 6th, I requested a lawn service again. They scheduled it for July 10th, which was good news. But then they rescheduled it, which was bad news. I understand that it rained, but rescheduling it for July 16th, which was six days later, was unacceptable. When I called customer service, they couldn't give me a reason for the delay. The supervisor was too busy to talk to me on the phone, which was frustrating.
To make matters worse, I came home from a trip to find that my lawn had been mowed. I spoke to someone who promised to contact me back via phone or email, but I never heard from them. The only email I received was to say that the task had been completed, and they charged my account.
Overall, I was very disappointed with Task Easy's customer service. They didn't keep me informed about the status of my request, and they rescheduled it without a good reason. The supervisor was too busy to talk to me, and I didn't receive any communication about the service being scheduled. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.
Taskeasy Review: Sketchy Contractors, Price Hikes, and Terrible Customer Service - Find Another Company
I've been using Taskeasy for about 2 years now, and I gotta say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I inherited a home in an area where it's tough to find contractors, so I was pretty much forced to use Taskeasy. They advertise that they're in the area, so I figured why not give them a shot?
Well, let me tell you, the contractors they use can be a bit sketchy. They've sent me old or fake photos before, and they've even lied to me a few times. And to top it off, they increase their prices by at least 10% every year. It's like they're trying to squeeze every penny out of me!
But the worst part is that Taskeasy doesn't check the work at all. You're pretty much on your own when it comes to making sure the contractors aren't lying to you. One time, a contractor tried to get me to pay for a major repair to his mower because he claimed there was all sorts of metal debris in the yard. I went out there with a magnet roller and found only 2 small pieces of debris. Can you believe that?
And don't even get me started on how long it takes them to get services going. More than once, they've put me off for OVER A MONTH. And this year, they were hounding me with phone calls to start my service back up. I finally did, but 2 weeks later, I had to message them and ask what was going on because nobody had cut the grass yet. Four days later, they told me they were canceling my service because they couldn't find anyone to do it. What the heck is wrong with this company?
Now my lawn is in bad shape, and I'm sure I'll have to pay someone extra (assuming I can find another company) for that first job. And to top it off, their customer service is terrible. No offense, but they really need to hire some native English speakers and give them headsets that don't sound like they're working at a McDonald's drive-thru. I've had to hang up and call back just to speak to someone I can actually understand.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Taskeasy to anyone. The contractors they use can be sketchy, their prices keep going up, and their customer service is terrible. Save yourself the headache and find a different company to use.
Taskeasy Lawn Mowing Service Review: Terrible Rescheduling and Unreliable Service
I'm not one to write reviews, but I gotta say, Taskeasy is a real doozy. I thought it would be a good service, you know, convenient and all that jazz. Plus, they send pictures when they're done, which is pretty cool. But man, it's actually terrible. I'm a patient person, I really am. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and all that. But this is just too much. They've rescheduled so many times that I've actually given up and mowed my own lawn a couple of times. And now my lawn is overrun with weeds because it's not getting the regular cuts it needs. I mean, come on. How hard is it to stick to a schedule? I get it if it's raining or something, but most of the time the weather is perfect for mowing. It makes no sense.
I'm on their bi-weekly schedule, but with this many reschedules, I might as well be a monthly customer. I pay for lawn mowing service so I don't have to worry about it. But with Taskeasy, I'm either worried about when they'll finally show up or I have to do it myself just to have some peace of mind. It's ridiculous.
I attached a picture of the latest rescheduling they did, along with a screenshot of the weather report for my area. As you can see, the weather is perfectly fine for mowing. I don't know what their deal is, but it's not worth the hassle. I'm canceling this service ASAP. If you're thinking about using Taskeasy, I hope this review helps you make a better decision.
Taskeasy Lawn Service Review: Mixed Experience with Scheduling and Commitment
So, I just moved into my first house and I was looking for a service that could help me with my lawn. I found Taskeasy and I thought it was a great idea since I don't have a lawn mower and I'm a young single woman. I signed up for biweekly lawn service and my first service was scheduled for 7/09. However, due to the rain in Houston, I decided to reschedule it. The next scheduled service was for 7/23, but no one came to mow my lawn. I called and spoke with Mary, who was very nice, and she tried to contact my original contractor, but he didn't answer. So, she sourced a different contractor and told me he would come on Saturday 7/24. Unfortunately, no one came again.
I received an email on Sunday 7/25 saying that my lawn would be done on Monday 7/26. However, it's already 1 pm and no one has come yet. I called again and spoke with David, who was also very nice. He tried to contact my contractor, but again, no answer. David offered me a 50% discount to keep me as a customer and not cancel the services. As a first-time customer, I was not happy with the lack of commitment on their side, but I will wait to see if they come by the time I get home tonight.
David was very honest when I asked him if this happens often. He said that sometimes there are several reschedules before someone can get to your house. I appreciate his honesty, but I hope they can come and mow my lawn soon. If not, I will have to source a different company, although I really wanted to try Taskeasy out.
UPDATE: Hey, guys! Just wanted to let you know that shortly after posting my last review, I got a knock at the door. Edgar was here to mow my lawn, and he was very nice. He offered to help me out with the weed situation, and I appreciated it. Also, the discount was not for 50%, only 15%, but I still appreciated it. I'm glad they finally came to mow my lawn, and I hope they can keep up with the schedule from now on.
Taskeasy Review: Total Scam, Unreliable Service and Terrible Customer Support
I gotta say, Taskeasy is a total scam. I put in an order on July 9th for my whole yard - front, middle, and back. It's a big yard, about 5,000 square feet, and it was pretty overgrown. I knew I'd have to pay extra, and when the contractors showed up they gave me a price and I said okay. But then most of them just left, and there was only one guy with a lawn mower. He mowed the front and a little bit of the middle, but didn't touch the back at all. Then he just hung out in my front yard smoking and playing on his phone for like an hour. I figured they just didn't have the right tools or something, but then Taskeasy contacted me and said the job was done! I was like, what? More than half the lawn wasn't mowed and there was debris everywhere. I sent them pictures and complained, and they said they'd talk to the contractor and make it right. But nothing ever happened. They kept sending me emails saying they were following up, but no one ever came back to finish the job. And then they kept canceling and rescheduling my service without telling me. I finally gave up and canceled in August. Their customer service is terrible and they're totally unreliable. Don't waste your time or money on Taskeasy.
Unreliable and Poor Service: My Experience with Taskeasy
I've been with Taskeasy for about three years now, but I just stopped using their service two days ago. I have to say, I'm not impressed with their level of service. They claim to have several different contractors who come and cut your grass, but I've had to cancel several times because they didn't do a good job or didn't show up at all. And even when I complained, they still took the money out of my account.
There were times when they wouldn't show up for weeks, and I had to let them know that they weren't mowing certain areas of my yard. But even when I did, I didn't get a call back. I ended up mowing my own grass several times because they just wouldn't show up. And when they did, they would take pictures stating that they did the job and send them to the company. But I have cameras, and I know that they didn't do anything.
The last straw came two days ago when I put in a request to cancel my service. I had cut my grass on June 18, 2022, but they claimed that they were at my home on June 23 and had cut the grass. They even took pictures to prove it. But I know for a fact that they didn't because I have cameras that caught them taking pictures of my lawn without actually doing any work.
When I called the company to complain, they told me that I had 48 hours to do so. But I didn't receive an email, and they were supposed to call me once they reached my property. And on top of that, I had already canceled my service. But they still took money out of my account a week later.
I'm really disappointed with Taskeasy, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They're not reliable, and they don't do a good job. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau as soon as possible.
Taskeasy Lawn Mowing Review: Frustrated and Upset with Poor Service and Broken Equipment
I gotta say, I'm really not happy with Taskeasy. They've been supposed to mow my lawn for over a month now, and it's still not done. I keep getting told that it's scheduled for tomorrow, but then nobody shows up. I've been calling every day for two weeks, and all I get is the same old story. Finally, I got someone to actually look into it, and it turns out that my mower's equipment was broken. But instead of telling me that, he just kept rescheduling me every day. I had to demand a new contractor, and even then they tried to tell me I'd have to pay an overgrown fee! That's ridiculous - I've been calling every day trying to get this resolved. Finally, they waived the fee, but now my new contractor still hasn't shown up for three days. I'm getting really stressed out about this - my HOA is threatening me with fees, and if I get a bill, it's going straight to Taskeasy. I don't want to pay for another company to come and mow my lawn and then get stuck with an overgrown fee that's not my fault. I just want my lawn mowed! I'm really frustrated and upset right now.
Taskeasy Review: Terrible Service, Property Damage, and Unprofessional Behavior
This company, Taskeasy, is just terrible. They always miss their appointments and reschedule multiple times. It's frustrating, but I didn't really mind as long as they eventually got the job done. However, about a month ago, they hit my screen door with their weed wacker and cut the entire bottom off. I had to call them to get it settled and they agreed to pay for a replacement. I thought everything was fine, but then they stopped mowing 10 feet away from my door! I mean, just because I don't want my door completely destroyed doesn't mean I don't still need the grass mowed around it. It's just common sense. I called them back to have them fix it, but they rescheduled once and when they finally came back, they didn't mow that area, threw some palm fronds behind my AC unit, and left. They even had the nerve to take pictures before and after of the exact same yard, with the 10-foot avoidance in view. Then, they tried to charge me for it! Can you believe it? I rejected the job and called them right away to let them know exactly what I wanted from them. They assured me they'd clarify with the vendor and fix it right away. But when they came back, they did the same thing! It's been a month now and they still haven't fixed it. I rejected the job again and this time, I got an email from the supervisor saying my rejection is invalid and denied. They want to charge me $50 for their vendor to do absolutely nothing! I called them, furious, and they are now trying to lie to me and say that they won't mow that area because it's weeds and a flower bed (it's literally not, it's grass) and that somehow that specific 10 ft is not in my package. Even though they have ALWAYS mowed my entire lawn all the way up to the time I said don't destroy my property. Now they want to act like children and be spiteful in direct retaliation to me speaking up against them. I obviously have cancelled with them and am furious and fighting to not pay $50 for them to take pictures of the unserviced yard. It's just ridiculous.
Affordable Lawn Mowing Service: My Experience with Taskeasy
Me and my mom moved to our new house four months ago and we hadn't cut the grass yet. It was really depressing and embarrassing because we live in a rural area with a huge yard of almost 20,000 sq ft. We are also very poor and my mom had just been diagnosed with expensive cancer and was in the hospital for over a month trying to survive her four major surgeries. Luckily, she did survive, but we still had no car which made things even harder.
After four months, we knew we had to mow the grass somehow. I went on the Thumbtask app first and got some quotes. The quotes were insane! They ranged from $200 to $275 to $150 and finally $100. Even $100 was a bit high, but I messaged them anyway. Unfortunately, they said they don't do my area. I felt defeated.
Then I saw Taskeasy and plugged in the sq ft of my house. They came back with an automated quote of $61. I was shocked! Then I looked up their reviews and Sitejabber came up first. I was even more shocked to see nothing but horrible reviews! It was really scary. I actually read the reviews and was happy to see that they at least show up, according to the bad reviews. However, they can increase the price once they show up which is super scary.
I saw people complaining about the premium service, but I'm just recommending the basic package because I don't have premium money. I did get charged $10 more, which was a very fair price for a 4-month neglected lawn. If you're worried about extra charges, make sure you're at home and ask if it's extra.
Also, they don't get paid until they take before and after photos, upload them, and you approve. They show proof of their work which is great. They get paid either upon your approval or 2 days later automatically.
My guy showed up on the right day and got on his riding mower to mow the lawn. He also did some trimming all over and got rid of some hills. He did a great job!
One last point, I believe these are independent contractors like on Thumbtack or Uber. If that's the case, they should have a way for you to rate and see your contractor's rating for accountability. If their rating drops down to a certain level, maybe they're bad eggs. You don't want your nice company tainted with a few bad apples. And much of the time, people only write bad reviews. I always try to write good reviews when I have good service.
Taskeasy Review: Scammers Who Take Advantage of Hardworking People
I've been using Taskeasy for lawn and garden maintenance for about 5 years now. Signing up was easy peasy, just outline the areas of your lawn that need tending via satellite and they'll find a contractor to do the work. The contractor takes pictures of their work and posts it on Taskeasy's website for review. You can choose biweekly or weekly service and skip service if you don't need it. The cost increases by about a dollar every year.
Their website is interactive and gives you two choices, Approve or Work Needed. If you're happy with the work, you can choose Approve and Taskeasy will process the payment. If you're not happy, you can choose Work Needed and Taskeasy should postpone payment until the work is done right.
In the 5 years I've been using Taskeasy, I've only had to request payment holds for subpar work about 3 times. Unfortunately, Taskeasy never answered those requests and payments were forwarded to the contractor. Taskeasy doesn't have auditors in the field to check on the contractors' work, and they don't follow up with you regarding your hold request. They always take the contractors' word that the work was completed without verification. In other words, they take your money without giving you any say in the quality of work.
Taskeasy changed their policy without notice and placed my property on "Off Season" without my consent. In previous years, I would just skip service every month if I didn't need it, but now I had to wait for Taskeasy to deem it "on season" again. When I called to ask why, Taskeasy said they were charged for a "drive by" every time I skipped a service. They changed the policy to save themselves money, but I never saw my contractor "drive by" and I usually skipped service once a month.
The last straw for me was when Taskeasy changed contractors and the new one didn't complete prior work that had been done for 5 years. I selected "needs work" and advised Taskeasy that they had missed a large portion of my lawn and that the lawn was not cut to the appropriate depth. I retraced my lawn and forwarded it to Taskeasy, but they said the portion that fell into my neighbor's property was unserviceable due to liability reasons. After 5 years of servicing my property, Taskeasy refused to service the same portion of property, charging me the same area and rate of previous service.
Taskeasy doesn't hold their contractors accountable and believes that reviewing 2 to 3 pictures the contractor takes is enough. They have no auditors or follow-up team to personally inspect contractor work, but they pretend they do, which is fraud. I later found out that Taskeasy would withhold payment to contractors and try to find a reason to reject their work so they could pocket the full payment from the customer. They're scammers who take advantage of hardworking people. Dealing with a contractor directly increases accountability, work ethic, and decreases cost, which is what I opted for.

TaskEasy Lawn Care Review: Unreliable and Poor Communication Skills
These guys are really not that great. I mean, they take your reservation and act like everything is all set to go, but then when you actually lock in your reservation, that's when they start scrambling to find a contractor who may or may not even show up on the day you need them to mow your lawn. And let me tell you, their communication skills are seriously lacking. They'll send you an email on the day of your scheduled service just to let you know that no one is coming. Like, seriously? That's not cool, especially when you're dealing with grass that just keeps growing and growing.
Honestly, it's just easier for me to find my own contractor and lock in a job with them than to deal with these guys. I mean, TaskEasy seems like they're just a sub-par middleman who can't even get their act together enough to make sure that their contractors show up on time. So, if you're looking for a reliable lawn care service, I'd say stay away from TaskEasy. They're just not worth the hassle.
Taskeasy Review: Unscheduled Job and Poor Customer Service
So, I got this email from Taskeasy, you know the one that says "see you in 24 hours". I checked my online calendar and there was no job scheduled for that day. I thought, "Great, I don't have to worry about anything today." But boy was I wrong! Taskeasy showed up anyway and mowed my lawn. And to top it off, they charged me for it! I was so upset, I immediately emailed them to let them know that they charged me for an unscheduled job that I did not want or agree to.
Their response was not what I was hoping for. They said that they could not find the email I sent them telling them ahead of time that I did not want the job. So, since there was no prior notice of the scheduled job being canceled, it was approved. Can you believe that? They will literally plan jobs NOT on your scheduled job calendar, and if you do not TALK TO SOMEONE within the 24 hours to make SURE it was canceled, they charge you anyway, for the unneeded job that you did not want. It's like they don't care about their customers at all.
I mean, I understand that mistakes happen, but this was just ridiculous. I had to waste my time emailing them back and forth just to get my money back. It was such a hassle. I don't think I'll be using Taskeasy again. It's just not worth the headache. So, if you're thinking about using them, just be careful and make sure you double-check everything.
Taskeasy Review: Shady Guarantee Policy Leaves Customer with Half-Mowed Lawn
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Taskeasy. I live in Saint Paul, MN and I was out of town for a while, so I decided to use their service to get my lawn mowed. I paid for it and everything seemed fine, until I got back home and saw that a quarter of my yard had been missed for a whole month! The grass was so high, it was up to my knees! I was pretty upset, so I tried emailing Taskeasy to see if they could fix it, but I didn't get a response for days.
Eventually, I decided to call them and see what was going on. I was hoping that the mower could come back and finish the job, but no such luck. The supervisor I talked to told me that since I had already paid, there was nothing they could do for me. Apparently, I hadn't contacted them within 48 hours of the service, so I was out of luck. I don't know about you, but I don't think emails count as contacting someone.
The worst part is that Taskeasy has this guarantee that if you're not satisfied with the service, they'll make it right. But apparently, that guarantee only applies if you haven't paid yet or if you contact them within 48 hours. Once you've paid or the time limit has passed, you're on your own. I think that's pretty misleading, and it's not fair to customers like me who trusted them to do a good job.
Honestly, I don't blame the mower for this. I think the fault lies with Taskeasy and their shady guarantee policy. If they had bothered to contact the mower, he probably would have come back and finished the job. But instead, they left me with a half-mowed lawn and no way to fix it. I wouldn't recommend Taskeasy to anyone, and I definitely won't be using their service again.

Unreliable and Disappointing: My Experience with Taskeasy Lawn Care
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Taskeasy this year. They kept missing my lawn mowing appointments, and it seemed like they just didn't care. I mean, I've seen other people say the same thing in their reviews, so I know I'm not alone here. Every time I called to complain, they would give me some canned response about how sorry they were and how they would fix it, but then nothing would happen. It was like they were just going through the motions, you know?
And don't even get me started on the customer satisfaction surveys. Every time I called, they would ask me to give them a positive rating, even though they hadn't done anything to deserve it. It was like they were more concerned with their ratings than with actually doing a good job. I mean, come on, guys.
Honestly, I would recommend finding a different lawn care provider. Taskeasy just isn't worth the hassle. They don't communicate well, they don't show up when they're supposed to, and they don't seem to care about their customers. Save yourself the frustration and find someone else.
Mixed Experience with Taskeasy: Great First Job, Terrible Recurring Service
I had a really good experience with Taskeasy when I scheduled a mow for my lawn. My husband was feeling under the weather, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and book a professional service. The team did a fantastic job, and my husband was really happy with the results too. We decided to stick with Taskeasy and scheduled a recurring service every other week.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the contractors failed to show up for the second job. I had been waiting for weeks, and it was frustrating to keep my dog locked up and wait for someone who never came. I tried to contact customer service, but they were not very helpful. They kept saying that my contractor was on their way and that they had other customers to attend to. It was really annoying to keep getting wishy-washy answers and not receive any emails about cancellations or delays.
I was really disappointed with the recurring service because it seemed like the first job was the only one that mattered. What's the point of scheduling a recurring service if they can't even show up for the second job? I would rather use someone who values my time and actually wants my money. I will never use Taskeasy again.
Taskeasy Review: A Disappointing and Incompetent Lawn Care Service
I gotta say, Taskeasy is a real disappointment. I mean, what's so easy about it? They say they'll find someone to cut your lawn, but it takes days for them to even show up. And when they do, it's not even the person they promised. Then you gotta spend the next two days arguing with their customer service, who can't do anything but call the same contractor who didn't show up in the first place. It's like talking to a brick wall, you know?
And don't even get me started on scheduling. They tell you they can't guarantee same-day service, and most of the time it takes 4-5 days to get anything done. By that time, your lawn is so overgrown it's practically a jungle. I had to escalate the issue just to get someone who could guarantee me same-day service, but of course, I had to pay extra for the overgrown mess that Taskeasy let happen in the first place.
Honestly, their contractors are just plain incompetent. And their customer service is a joke. I mean, I was already paying a good amount for lawn care, and Taskeasy just made it worse. I thought it would be an easy way to schedule everything, but boy was I wrong. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this service. I learned my lesson the hard way. NEVER USE TASKEASY.
Taskeasy Review: A Total Joke - Liars and Cheats Who Won't Take Responsibility for Damages
I gotta say, Taskeasy is a total joke. If I could give them negative stars, I would. They're a bunch of liars and cheats. One of their so-called "contractors" broke my AC unit condenser, which is outside my house. There's no walkway there, so only the lawn mower would go near it. I had to replace the whole unit, which cost me $2000. I filed a claim with Taskeasy, but they just gave me the runaround.
First, they said there was no grass on that side of the house. I sent them pictures to prove that there was. Then they said their contractor never mowed on that side. I sent them more pictures to prove that he did. Finally, the contractor admitted that he did mow on that side. But Taskeasy still wouldn't take responsibility. They said it was my fault, or my tenants' fault, or my neighbors' fault. They even said the damage was too severe for a lawn mower to cause. What a load of crap!
I've lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years, and I've never had any problems with anyone. Taskeasy is just trying to pass the buck and blame someone else. They didn't even bother to send anyone out to investigate. They just talked to their contractor and closed the claim. What kind of company does that?
I wouldn't recommend Taskeasy to anyone. They're a bunch of crooks who don't care about their customers. If you want to avoid a headache, stay far away from them.
Disappointing Experience with Taskeasy: Missed Appointments, Incomplete Job, and Poor Customer Service
So, I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Taskeasy. I mean, don't get me wrong, they did an okay job with the yard clean up, but the whole process was just a mess. First off, they missed two appointments without even letting me know they weren't coming. And then, get this, they rescheduled for a Sunday, which they don't even work on! Like, what's the point of that?
Anyway, when they finally did show up, they only did the front yard and blew most of the leaves into the street. And they didn't even touch the hedges, which was supposed to be part of the job. When I told them I wasn't gonna pay until they fixed it, they came back and did the leaves, but still didn't touch the hedges. And then they had the nerve to tell me it was because the hedges were too tall! Like, come on, it took them over two weeks to show up, of course they're gonna be tall!
To make matters worse, they caused some damage to my house and back gate, and when I asked them to fix it, they refused. And their customer service was just terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I've attached some pictures of the damage and the hedges they refused to trim.
Taskeasy Review: Unreliable Service and Hidden Fees
I decided to give Taskeasy a try and signed up for their bi-weekly service. The first three services went smoothly without any issues. However, last week, the contractor did not show up to mow the lawn. I was surprised because I didn't receive any call or notice from them. I waited for a while, but no one showed up. Later, I received an email from Taskeasy, informing me that they noticed the lawn wasn't mowed and that they would assign someone new in a few days.
When the new contractor arrived, they said that they needed to charge me an extra $110 because the lawn was overgrown. I was frustrated because the lawn was overgrown because they didn't mow it on time. I contacted Taskeasy support, but they were difficult to deal with. They kept saying that they could get someone out there that day if I was willing to pay extra funds. They also said that they could assign a new contractor, but I was sure that the new contractor would also ask for additional funds, and probably even more with how the lawn grows until they get there.
In summary, if anything happens to delay service, Taskeasy will expect YOU to make up the difference. And of course, since no reason is provided as to why the contractor didn't show up, it's a great money-making scheme for them. They schedule a mowing service, don't actually mow the lawn, show up days later when the grass is taller, and charge an extra $100. Every day that I argue about the overcharge, the grass gets taller, the charge gets higher, and if I want to change providers, then I'll have to pay an overgrown fee anyway.
I would not recommend doing business with Taskeasy. It's easy to set up an appointment, but they have no accountability. It's frustrating to deal with their support team, and they don't seem to care about their customers. I hope they improve their service in the future, but until then, I'll be looking for a new provider.
Disappointing Experience with Taskeasy Lawn Service: Late, Unreliable, and Poor Customer Service
I was really excited to try out Taskeasy for a one-time lawn cut on 9/24. However, I was disappointed when the date was moved to 9/25, and then again to 9/29. I decided to give them one more chance after speaking with customer service, who assured me that they would come on 9/29. They even spoke with the contractor to confirm.
Unfortunately, 9/29 came and went, and nobody showed up. My lawn was now so long that I would definitely be charged for the 6+ inch lawn fee. I called and emailed that night, but they were closed. The next day, I called when they opened, but had to wait 45 minutes to speak to someone. I eventually gave up and mowed the front myself.
Later that day, I spoke to someone who told me it was a "miscommunication" and that someone "may be by today but (I) don't know because I didn't speak to the contractor but he is in your area." I asked for a discount because of the egregious delay and the fact that my yard was now half mowed, but was told that wasn't possible. They also informed me that they would be charging $72, which was even more than what the app said it would be with the 6+ inch fee ($62.79). I decided to cancel.
Overall, my experience with Taskeasy was horrific. I was really hoping for a convenient and reliable service, but it seems they were unable to provide either. I'm deleting the app and telling everyone I know not to use it. What a huge waste of my time!
