This company has the worst customer and billing service. Bills are NEVER accurate, so, half of the time service is not provided based on wrong charges and, calling for assistance or clarification of services and bills is a complete nightmare: if you are lucky and get someone to answer, they are very rude and disrespectful and your situation with the service doesn't change or, like me, for the past 3 weeks: PAID IN FULL AND MORE, NO SERVICE, NO ANSWER ON ANY OF THE PHONE # LISTED... NOTHING. Of course, it's up to me to discontinue using them, but someone has to do something with this company
How do you contact somebody in Telefonica. Every avenue produces no response and I have a serious problem that i will no longer deal with there company Movistar.
The staff at Movistar are trying to cover up their total mismanagement and are covering up the total and utter lack of service and customer respect. If it is the intention of Telefonica to be complicit and accepting of the way Movistar work and if their Managing direct does not want to sort the situation out then I think it is about time you admitted this so the public have a choice over where they contract services.
So far Movistar have provided a shabby service and have made so many mistakes without even an sign of apology and in rather than admit the faults try to blame me the customer.
I have been online to Telefonica de Espana on facebook lite with numerous messages with not one being replied to.
I this the sort of company that is so bad that it comes from the holding company down throughout every subsidiary company they own.

The billing is always wrong to their benefit. Called many times, the customer representative acknowledge the bill was wrong and was sending it to accounting to be fixed. The customer representative ' name is Claudia. Starting calling in August 2020, to this date nobody called me or fixed the bill. Today I called but no answer, goes straight to voice mail. Very shady company.

I signed up with them a 5 years ago o maybe more . I was told i had to pay $20 to open the service account with them and once i cancelled i would be refunded. After several years, last year was a terrible customer service, information in the bill does not work. they have two phone number : [protected] and [protected]. No one answer those phone never. PO BOX we don't know if it work . But what is the catch your balance is maybe $2 o 3 they try to do not get your payment or get it late. You can try pay by phone but no one respond, by mail we never got response, by the webside forget it . same than the phones.
In the end we decided to cancelled this service and we pay all the charges for late fees, etc. and when we talk about our my $20 deposit returned, they give to us many excuses . To do not refund this money.

I had the same problem with this company. The last time I called to ask for my $20 refund it took for ever when I finally got to talk to someone I was literally yelled out. I was told to call again for my refund. I have been calling and nobody pick up. The service is awful, the customer service in Spanish is disrespectful. In the past every time I wanted to pay my bill they never answered the phone. In the end I opted for automatic payment. Someone needs to do something about Telefonica Latina, it looks like they do whatever they want and take the money away $20 from the customers and then vanished.
Bad business
I signed up with them a few years ago (I want to say 2007)... I was told i had to pay $20 to open the service account with them and once i cancelled i would be refunded.
After several years, i called on the summer of 2016 to cancel because thanks to whatsapp i didn't need the service anymore... I called to cancel and reminded them about my $20 and they said wit would take 3 weeks for them to send me the check. About 2 months later i called again saying i had not received the $20 and they got the attitude with me and blatantly said i would have to wait for it... Well it has been 6 months and it never came. I would never do business with this company... Ever! They can keep the $20 they probably steal from every customer by not refunding it as promised.In the end, they will end up ####ting down because technology will devour that kind of service.

An employee got me Friday the name of " the manager" Nora Oliva, who doesn't work on weekends. I called today and she didn't take my call, the employee say Oliva is taking care of my claim and will cal me.
They bill us twice a month, I thought they were the only which can do the service of calling overseas cheap.Yesterday I found http://keepcalling.com/ They gave me a line ARGENTINA FOR $ 9.99, it took a minute and works! No noises no hangouts. Good luck if you stay with Telefonica.
Bad Service/Not Reliable Company
I used this company until 2008 when I called to cancel the service. 5 years later (March 2013) I got a bill of I call I never made. When I called to complaint they informed me my account was never cancelled, and it has been used for calls to the same number I got in the bill this time. I just never received an invoice before to realize the problem and the only balance was the one for this particular call in February 2013. They filled a complaint that I had to follow up 2 business days later. I called again and they informed me that the account was in zero and the lines deactivated. I requested a written confirmation, letter or email, to do not have the same problem in the future. They said they don't provide this. I have to take the call as a fact the the account has been closed this time. This mean, I can easily get in some years another bill and when I will call they will do the same, tell me that the account has never been requested to be closed. I hope customers can be aware of what Telefonica Latina is doing to what they consider a customer.

I have been their client for over two years, to tell the truth I haven't used the long distance service that much on the first year but now I can see it's horrible! They keep sending us "unpaid invoices" with late fees for a balance that doesn't exist, we called them and they don't even have payment history. Now that we are calling more often, it has been impossible to contact our family especially at night time, I keep trying and trying and nothing the long distance service doesn't work at all. I called all the numbers they have listed on their web page and there is no answer, just music for more than 20 mins. yeah, we are cutting this service as soon we get a chance to talk to someone in there, we are soooooo tired of spending money for nothing! Hope they don't over charge me.

It used to be a good service, I've used it for little less than ten years, lately however they've become worthless. Trying to contact them is next to impossible. I used to pay over the phone, for the past 5 months now everytime I call to make a payment I get the same recorded message "No Agent Available" and the call disconnects. Tried paying online, even worse than their phone system. Now they want to send me to collections, they can go fly a kite.
Bad Business Practices
My long distance with Telefonica Latina stopped working on Septembe 1. As of October 9, they have not put the service back in order. Their agents have said on the many calls to them since Sept. that service would be fixed by tomorrow or within 48 hours or next week, y nada! They have provided an access number to make calls but are charging double the regular rates to use this number.
Today, I learned that they double billed my checking account through electronic deduction. Though I had not yet received a bill, they accessed my account on October 7 and then again today, October 9, 2010 to bill the same amount of money again!
When trying to reach the billing department no one answers. The operator is also not available. The only people the customer can reach are the agents who are not helpful and only tell the same lies and to call back later.
I have cancelled service with them and now have a dispute for my bank to take up the issue of the double charges.

I thought I had cancelled my ADSL and line when I moved house. They asked me if I wanted to transfer, but there was already ADSL and a landline where I was going, so I said no.
Without me realising (and in my defence, I suffer from very poor health, so it took a while to sport it, they continued to take the money from my bank for a YEAR after I cancelled it. This happened despite the new occupants of my former property having a new line and ADSL put in.
Having experienced Telefonica thieving money from my bank in the past, I gave them the wrong bank account number, as I intended to pay in the Correos, after establishing the bill was correct.
However, Deutsche bank paid them - without a correct number (it was similar, but I mixed the last 4 digits up), which is, apparently, illegal. Deutsche denied they were given the wrong account number, even though I phoned Telefonica from the bank, in front of their staff, and Telefonica read the account number they had on file - that is, the wrong one.
This complaint is as much about Deutsche as Telefonica. I thought I had protected myself against the theft of money from my account, but Deutsche helped them do it!
Nearly a year, several complaints and a denuncia later, I have still not had any money back. Telefonica is a disgrace - but we all know that. How many times have they won the dubious title of 'worst company in the world'? Deutsche bank is no better. They had previously failed to reimburse me for a purchase via the Visa Chargeback process. They lied, provided incorrect forms and were as obtuse as it's possible to be. They would have had to stump up 1, 000 euro, but they would have recovered it from the merchant. Jyske bank reimbursed me 2, 000 euro for the same purchase (I used to cards) within 3 weeks. That was in Gibraltar, though; a far less lawless country.
Spain is an absolute nightmare for consumers, their court system is a joke, and companies like Telefonica (sorry, but changing your brand name Movistar isn't fooling anyone) and Deutsche bank take the p*ss on a regular basis.

Cancele mi cuenta desde Febrero sel 2013, debido a los empleados tan ineficientes que tienen y falta de etica. Acostumbran a cobrar doble, y cuando una se queja dicen que van a arreglar la situacion y nunca arreglar nada. Como dije anterirormente cancele mi cuenta en Febrero 2013 y despues de 1 ańo me han llamado para cobrar no se que o porque mas de 30 veces interrumpiendo en mi trabajo y horas de descanso .Mi representante de Asuntos del consumidor hablo con Patricia Silva y ella le confirmo de que yo no tenia cuenta con ellos desde Febrero 2013 y que no debia nada. Una semana mas tarde todavia siguen llamando. Es una verguenza una compańia como esa segun ello ayudando a los Latinos cuando en realidad es estafando a los Latinos puedan estar como negocio.

Hace varios meses tuvimos un gran problema con los idiotas que atiende el telefono en Telefonica latina que como dicen la mayoria de uds son unos inectos que no saben nada, que ni si quieran se identifican cuando contestan tienes que sacarles el nombre y que ni si quiera sabes si te estan diciendo el correcto, anyway mi hna llamo para hacer el pago y les pidio que no usaran la tajeta de mi Madre que ellos tienen registrada en su sistema, bueno resulta que le sacaron el dinero de la cuenta de mi hna y tambien cobraron a la tarjeta de mi mama, y cuando llamo para reclamar la tipa que me contesta me llamo hasta mentirosa que eso no podia ocurrir y cuando le pedi que me diera un numero de fax para enviarle los dos cobros del banco me tranco el tlf, luego vuelvo a llamar y nadie queria responderme despues de varios dia llamo y me tenian con el cuento que si era cierto que se habian dado cuenta del error y que ya el caso estaba abierto y que me iban a resolver el problema eso fue dos semanas y nada, nunca habia un manager y lo unico que hacian era trancarme el tlf, pedi que me diera un numero de la corporacion y finalmente alguien me facilito el numero y pude hablar con alguien aqui en Estados Unidos, resulta que los dos centros de servicio al cliente quedan en Argentina y Peru, la chica que me atendio y supuestamente estaba resolviendo el problema me dijo que primero tenian que averiguar quien fue el empleado que cometio el error y que despues me devolveria el dinero, casi me da un infarto y lo que provocaba era ahorcar a la idiota, le digo que eso no es mi problema que primero me devuelvan mi dinero y que despues resuelvan sus problemas internos y la individua seguia preguntandome detalles de que "dia se llamo", "que acento tenia la persona que contesto", y otras preguntas mas estupidas, despues de un mes pude conseguir que se regresara el dinero a la cuenta de mi mama mas el sobre cargo que se ocaciono a la cuenta por a ver sacado el dinero sin autorizacion, Telefonica latina es lo peor que hay, para sacarte el dinero el mismo dia en segundos ya esta afuera de tu cuenta pero para devolverte o resolverte un problema nadie tiene la capacidad para hacerlo, son todos unos idiotas que no tienen educacion ni entrenamiento, la chica de la coorporacion que atendio mi caso me explico que los centros estan fuera del Pais y que lamentandolo mucho ellos no tienen poder para resolver las incompetencias de las personas que trabajan hay. Dear Glenn, you had been we our company since 2006 and we are very sad to loose you. I really sorry about your decision but I have to admit that you are right about the service that you were using from us. You were using our One Plus service and we switch carrier provider but the quality wasn't the same and we loose a lot of good clients like you. The management decided not to offer this service anymore until a new carrier provider is offer again. The problem with your bank could be our mistake or a mistake from our merchant account, that even you must think is just an excuse, it happen some times that they processed the same batch twice, but of course we get the complaints, I personally will investigate your case, but I still apology for any inconvenience. Usuarios de Telefonica Latina (Florida), estoy de acuerdo con las personas anteriores y ademas me gustaria mencionar que las personas que atienden al servicio al cliente son de lo mas despotas, sin educacion, y sin principios morales para atender a los clientes, no se esta sera una compania familiar o que, pero la verda es que las personas ahi trabajando son inconpetentes. Siempre que uno llamo para quemarme de algo, ellos siempre tienen una justificacion a sus errores y cuando pido hablar con un manager, sus respuestas son las mismas" que no tienen manager o que todos aceptan las quejas" quiza solo familiares y amigos trabajan ahi pues hasta el dia de hoy jamas he recivido una disculpa por su parte.

I totallly agree. Telefonica Latina should be investigate for adding minutes to your calls. I compared my minutes with my sprint bill. And I have noticed in my last 3 bills that every single call there is like 6, 7 or even 20 more minutes added.
And when you call to get an explanation nobody give you a reasonable reason why this is happening... That is of course if you are lucky and someone answer the phone and wants to help you.
You better get another long distance service company...
