I am a former AUBG student from Turkmenistan and I owe more than $8,000 to AUBG. I tried explaining to them that my country's economy is in shambles but they do not care. They do not answer my emails. They ignore my pleas for help.

The complete lack of compassion is scary. What if they do the same to other students in situations like mine? I am trying to raise awareness about this university's behavior. There is nothing American about this university.

If you are thinking of attending AUBG please reconsider. Think twice. Take a year off if need be and find real American universities in America, where universities actually care about students.

This taxi firm exploits weary foreign guests to Bulgaria arriving at its nice, new airport, giving these foreign guests a very poor first impression of Bulgaria. The international traveler places his luggage in the trunk of the taxi at the front of the taxi que and enters the cab which then leaves onto a major highway. The passenger then sees that the taxi charges 3.50 leva per kilometer. Fearing for his luggage and finding himself in a conflict with the driver on a major highway, the passenger avoids conflict with the driver to find that by the time the cab has arrived at the Sofia main bus station, the charge is 53 leva.
