My dog loves loves loves this food. She is so much healthier since eating Farmers Dog food. Customer service is fantastic. I ordered the turkey meals and my girl didn’t like it as much as the beef, chicken and pork. Customer service REFUNDED me for the turkey meals. That was so thoughtful. I have only great things to say about them. The food arrives on time, my dog is healthy and happy, my vet says the same, her poops are solid and looks forward to her meals, I never have seen her eat so well. The cost and the quality is right on point.
They keep shipping my dogs food earlier every month. I still had 7 packs of food in my freezer when they charged me for the next shipment. They provide a sneaky alibi. But its just their way of getting more money out of you. Orders should never be charged until shipped. Looking for a new dog food service.
I ordered the dog food for the first time and was told it will be shipped on July 26 which is today. Now, they moved it to between July 29-July 31 without sending any email to notify me about the delay. I only knew because I logged in to track the delivery. Been waiting for a week to get the food delivered and now the excitement has gone down to zero due to this unnotified delay. I will cancel my subscription and try other services instead that our neighbors have and never had issues with delivery. Cannot comment on the quality because food never arrived but its overall more expensive than other brands, less variety and clearly a bad business model where they fool you with advertisements but food ends up costing more when you enter your dogs info. I will avoid them since there are better companies waiting to have my subscription.

I am very pleased with the quality of The Farmers Dod food, as well as their exceptional customer service.I have a small poodle rescue who was having gastrointestinal issues, and since feeding her The Farmers Dog, she is doing very well.As her human, I feel very good about feeding her top quality, human grade food, vegetables and vitamins.The deliveries are very well packaged and arrive frozen. On the rare occasion where there has been a shipping issue, The Farmers Dog immediately remedied it, with a replacement. My dog has been a client for over three years, and a shipping issue has only happened once.I highly recommend The Farmers Dog!
I bought a trial offer from Farmers Dog to try out for my picky dog to see if he will eat and he will not even try it. Now they have charged $ *** for more food and I have all this food he won't even eat. First off, I am supposed to still be on a trial basis. I didn't know how to get hold of them to cancel. No phone number or web site. I need them to put money back in my account ASAP.This seems fradulent to me. Not professional at all.
Dear Farmers Dog, We have used several dog food services and we want to tell you that we are the most pleased by your way of doing business. Good food at fair prices. You give us as customers the ability to very easily adjust all of our upcoming orders. That is an outstanding feature. It is easy, fast to do and necessary. We never feel we are over purchasing the food to meet the sellers plans but only to meet our needs. We buy what we need with some reserve but never feel we were pushed into buying more than we want. Your system for order adjusting is perfect. I count days and amount of food on hand and make any needed adjustments for our upcoming shipment. Just plain easy. Aside from that our dog loves your foods. We do treats around the same times each day and she reminds of us them. She reminds us every day that it is meal time once we get near our normal feeding times. That says to us she likes the food and is getting hungry for it. My little, 5 pound Morkie is a picky eater. Ive tried many different brands of dog food for her...dry food, wet food, fresh food, but the outcome is always the same. She sniffs and sniffs, and if she decides to try it, she hesitantly nibbles a bit, before running off uninterested. One brand, she ate the first bowl I gave to her, but she wouldnt eat it again. After receiving my first order from The Farmers Dog, I gave her a small bowl of the beef food, and she loved it! I think she sniffed it one time, then gobbled the whole thing down. She even licked the bowl clean! After a few hours, I gave her another small bowl, and she gobbled it down, too. Ive never seen her eat dog food like that before. Shes been eating The Farmers Dog food for a week and a half now. She loves the chicken and turkey recipes as much as she did the beef. She looks forward to meal time now, and Ive noticed a huge decline in her wanting my human food. She did have a little constipation on the 3rd day after switching to this brand, but it only lasted a day. I am so pleased with The Farmers Dog and so is
Farmers Dog has done wonders for my pups. The oldest, who could hardly walk and for whom we had a stroller, can now join the rest of the family on walks without it. She had kidney stones, urine crystals, and constipation, and was on arthritis medicine, prescription dog food, and fiber supplements. Now, after 6 months of feeding her your mixture, she is rejuvenated. She's medication-free, no longer needs prescription food or fiber supplements, and can walk 3 miles a day. The middle pup, already in good shape, has improved further and even lost some weight. Her fur, which was cream in her youth before turning white, has regained its cream color, and her nose has darkened. While I can't be certain it's the food, the groomer noticed the color change and suggested the new diet might be the cause. Earlier this year I found out my dog has a mass on his liver, and his health had been gradually declining. He seemed to have lost most of his happy hour lucky personality and was just existing, finding no joy in things he used to get excited about. I tried many dietary changes, and supplements, but I was not seeing much change. My heart was absolutely shattered and I truly believed last Christmas would be his last. Maybe a week after switching him over to The Farmers dog, he was excited to go on walks, pulling me down the sidewalk the whole way. Bringing me toys to play with and having the “puppy runs” all over our house at random. My only regret is having waited so long to make the switch. I cannot say thank you enough to the people at this company…you have given me my baby back, and extended his quality of life. You’ve taken away that feeling of helplessness and heartbreak I had less than a year ago.

She has been eating The Farmers Dog food for a week and a half now, and she loves the chicken and turkey recipes just as much as she loved the beef. She now looks forward to mealtime, and I have noticed a significant decrease in her desire for human food. On the third day after switching to this brand, she did experience some constipation, but it only lasted for a day. I am extremely satisfied with The Farmers Dog, and so is my dog.

Farmers Dog has been amazing for my dogs. My oldest dog, who had kidney stones, urine crystals, and constipation, could hardly walk. We even had to use a stroller for her to go on walks with the rest of the family. She was on arthritis medicine, prescription dog food, and fiber supplements. After feeding her your mixture for 6 months (although it didn't take the entire 6 months), she is like a new dog. She no longer needs medication, prescription dog food, or fiber supplements. She can now walk 3 miles a day, so we don't need the stroller anymore. My other dog was already in good shape, but she has improved and lost some weight. Her fur used to be cream when she was little, but then it turned all white and her nose became a light color. With the food, her cream color has returned to her fur and her nose is now a dark color. I'm not sure if it's because of the food, but the groomer commented on the change in color and I mentioned the food change to her, and she said that's what caused it! Our newest pup is starting off on the right foot with your food, and I believe she will be the healthiest pup ever. Thank you for everything you do!

I exlressed concern for my Boston Terrier who is overweight due to excessive treats and lack of exercise and they sent a smaller amount of food for him as opposed to the smaller French Bulldog who goes swimming multiple times a day in our pool. The rations are perfect and the boys LOVE the food! The frenchie has had less allergies and the boston is slimming down. SOOOOO worth the money for my babies and I'm just so happy ro have a brand that I trust and has the welfare of my babies at heart.

Horrific experience. Let me begin by saying the food was extraordinarily overpriced for what you get and the customer service that accompanies it. First, the order arrives late; I expected it on 5/19, but it came on 5/24. Then they provide you with a sheet of instructions and instruct you to allocate a certain percentage in one column, and in the next, they ensure you understand to administer one pack a day per pup. By the end of the first week, the subsequent order was over a week delayed. They blamed me for overfeeding, even though their own instructions specify a pack a day. It's bewildering how a company can remain operational with such poor performance. I usually feed my pups a competing brand, which might be slightly more processed, and I have to pick it up at the grocery store. With the competitor, I never have to worry about shipping issues. The instructions are crystal clear, and if one store is out of stock, I can easily find it at another nearby. The product is marketed as top-tier dog food, but at best, I would rate it as a B- and when considering the customer service, it drops to a C at best. Do your pup a favor and choose any other brand, unless you're looking to complicate your life. Alternatively, you could consider preparing your own dog food, which could be even more beneficial.

Received our trial package on 4/29/2022 and not very impressed at all. The portions are way too small. We did our intake and the activity level we put down was that our 10 month French Bulldog is very active. I called to cancel the order since the two week trial would end on 5/13/2022, BUT THEY BILLED MY CARD ON 5/9/2022. Upon check out when we ordered it even said 'IT WILL BE BILLED AND SHIPPED EVERY THREE WEEKS.' THEY BILLED AFTER 10 DAYS. Customer service said it was already shipped but I looked and only the label was created and it had not been sent out yet. Correct me if I'm wrong but a 2-week trial is 14 days... not less than that. Farmers Dog does not give you a full 2 weeks to let your dog try and give the Consumer the opportunity to choose if they want it or not. Instead the Company arbitrarily sets a different time limit before you have to cancel it WITHOUT WARRANT. To them it doesn't matter if they advertise a 2 WEEK TASTE TRIAL, it is more like a 5 DAY TRIAL. They said they sent an email regarding what I call an 'arbitrary' date (which I received on 5/1/2022) however, it doesn't say anything about 'cancelling' anything, it just provides information if you want to make changes aka 'edits' here is the exact verbiage 'HERE'S A REFRESHER ON WHAT COMES NEXT. YOUR ORDER OF BEEF, CHICKEN, AND TURKEY RECIPES IS SCHEDULED TO SHIP THE WEEK OF MAY 9, 2022. IF YOU WANT, YOU CAN MAKE ALL SORTS OF CHANGES (SEE BELOW) IN YOUR CUSTOMER ACCOUNT JUST BE SURE TO SUBMIT ANY EDITS BY MAY 4, 2022 TO GIVE OUR KITCHEN TIME TO ADJUST.' Why on earth would I think this means to cancel your subscription if you are not happy with it. And of course this would only be FIVE DAYS INTO THE TWO WEEK TRIAL! This makes no sense at all. Also, I read that people are running out of food, the Company's safe fail response is 'you didn't transition correctly' when that's part of their advertisement. Tried this service to save time. Trial box arrived 1 day later then the delivery window. All dry ice gone and partially defrosted. My dog would net eat it after 3 days and trying all 3 of the recipes provided. I called to cancel the next delivery and they told me it was too late. I needed to cancel 2 days after receipt which wasnt enough time to try all 3 recipes. Even though the next shipment wasnt even prepared they wouldnt let me cancel. I am a new customer to the boutique dog food service. I have received 2 orders and the third is pending. 2 out of 3 deliveries have been delayed causing my dog to miss meals. I pay premium prices for the dog food, and there's no alternative at local pet stores. They offer a $25 credit, which is insufficient for home-cooked meal substitutes. The customer service doesn't match the high prices. I want additional meals included in my order to cover the missed ones due to shipping delays, plus their refund. If delivery issues persist, I will take my business elsewhere.

Repeatedly failed to deliver food on time. Neither I nor support staff could not track status of orders. Multiple orders were weeks late and experienced operational errors. Feedback to management is ignored. Food seems high quality, but it doesn't matter if they can't reliably ship a box. I'd stay clear of this operation.

We have been feeding our senior dog specialized food for several months. She lost interest in her usual dry food. Discovering a new brand, we tried it out. She adores it and eagerly anticipates mealtime! She had digestive troubles and difficulty with food absorption, resulting in frequent bowel movements and excessive shedding. Since switching to this new diet, her digestive regularity improved and shedding reduced significantly. Moreover, the brand's customer service is outstanding, providing prompt and helpful responses.

The food from the Farmer's dog is excellent, however the company is completely dysfunctional with regards to delivery schedules. It has been one error after another. I have 3 dogs and they completely skipped a week of food. The have no mechanism in place whatsoever when an error occurs. You are just left waiting. So my 3 dogs have no food for an entire week and we are going away so I will need to make them food and package it. Needless to say, I am discontinuing my account with The Farmer's Dog.

Gizmo now cant wait to eat! He loves this food. It has been months now that he has been on it and each day as soon as I put his food out he gobbles it up! His energy has increased as well. They assist with any issues that arise and work to find solutions. I explained my situation, they mentioned that refunds are hassle-free. They advised donating the unwanted, unopened frozen food to local shelters, completing a donation form, and including a photo of the food. I managed to do it all in one day, and my refund was processed immediately! The company is committed to supporting local communities, reflecting their strong and positive culture. My dog was having some issues with eating. Just being picky. I have her on a special diet. So I tried Farmers Dog thinking she would take to the human grade food they advertise. She wouldn't touch it. Thought the food smelled bad. Wouldn't go near it. Now I'm out $150.00. I tossed it all in the trash. I did an experiment and put a bowl of The Farmers Dog out next to a bowl of her usual food. She went right for her usual food and licked her bowl at the end. Farmers Dog doesn't deliver the goods I'm afraid.

The company is the best most understanding business towards its customers. They know how to treat each family and pet as an individual. They allow you to feel that you matter. The product itself has been amazing for my dogs. My one dog has extreme health issues and this product has helped him to recovery from 5 different surgeries and be removed from 3 different medications. This product really has been life-changing for our special pet. They take the time to listen to your concerns and make adjusts that are needed according to the needs of your pet. They have been amazing through our difficult times by sending flowers and making sure he was recovering okay. This company is extraordinary. I would recommend that everyone used this company for their dogs. This was the best choice I have ever made for my pets.

The Farmer's Dog really does care! I lost my fur baby suddenly the day after my order was put in. I cancelled the subscription that day. They sent me a beautiful email expressing their sympathy. When I called later that morning to see if there was any way to stop the order they informed me that it was already processed so they couldn't stop it. They asked if there was any place I could donate it to in my dogs name. I told them yes we have a no kill shelter in my town that I very much support. They then proceeded to tell me to donate that food in Kirk's name and they were refunding me the whole amount. I was blown away. The kindness and the compassion they showed to me on one of the hardest days of my life was so appreciated. When my heart is healed and its time to open my home to another rescue, I will never feed them anything but The Farmer's Dog. They have my business for life. Thank you...

I was surprised to see the negative feedback on this site, so wanted to weigh in since Ive had a positive experience. We started our nearly *** eating and had gradually lost some weight recently. This food has basically brought her back to life. Shes much more energetic and engaged with activity in the house, and has a noticeable increase in her endurance for walks and following people around the house. Shes always excited now for her breakfast and dinner and eats immediately, which is a change from her kibble, she used to graze like a cat. We honestly feel it has added more time to her life. It felt like she was getting to the end, and now it feels like we have a good amount of time ahead. Were so thankful we made the decision to go with this food to help her feel good and get back to her usual self. If you can afford the food, I recommend it for anyone with older pets that seem to be slowing down to increase quality of life.

My dogs love the food BUT my issue is with portioning and quantity. I have 2 dogs, same weight, same two walks every day. 1 is older so when not on walks will lounge on the couch all day. The younger one, if given a choice will run around the back yard and chase birds and squirrels all day. For the younger dog, they send 24 packs of food a month to be fed at 1/2 pack per day. The older dog gets 28 packs of food per month with portion of 1/4 pack per day. The older dogs packs are smaller. When i fed the assigned amount she loses weight and snuffs around for food - shes not a big eater so this implies she is still hungry. Furthermore the packs for the older dog are smaller than some packs for the older dog - same with the younger dog and is no weight amount on the label. I weighed two packs for the same dog and they were drastically different (one at 1.9 lbs and the other at 1.1 lbs) And for the i creased cost i still run out of food and have to make more by hand before the month runs. They have more than a few kinks to work out here. I am considering cancelling cause its less of a pain to just make dog food from the grocery store.

They did reach out to me after reading my initial review, and *** was very understanding and helpful with my issues around the pricing and seemingly strange subscription based pricing structure they have. While I still stand by that I believe they should:A) Have a non-subscription based trial option available somewhere clearly listed on the website at the minimum or B) Even better, make the subscription (like *** does) more affordable and an actual option that you have to select, not the default option that you can't opt out of I would also like to reiterate, their food is very good quality, and I can say with confidence now, so is their customer service. I have rarely dealt with a company that goes so far to try and make a customer happy, especially one that they may not ever deal with again, very impressed.They would have 5 stars from me in a minute flat if they would just get rid of the default payment option being subscription based, it's not necessary, you have a great product, and great people that work for you, everything you need to be successful is there. If the prices could come down a bit, you could run the dog food market, I'm sure of it.

I signed up to receive the farmer's dog subscription. The second order shipped out automatically with no notice to me. They didn't send any emails letting me know of my upcoming shipment. I told them I wanted to cancel, but I didn't know how to even find the company's name because they never sent any email correspondences to my account. I found an email on their website that wasn't even valid which is an immediate red flag. Even the email on their automated message company system was not a valid email address and bounced back. Typically for subscription services, they send out emails to let you know of upcoming shipments. They did not, and there's no way to correspond with them via email or phone. I disputed the charge for the latest shipment with my bank earlier in December and asked the farmer's dog to please cancel my account. Farmers dog claims my account was canceled on 12/6, but on 12/22, they charged me AGAIN another $124 with NO NOTICE. I canceled my account on 12/6. Why are they charging me again on 12/22? I am away on Christmas holiday and now I don't know if wet dog food is going to be randomly delivered to my doorstep while I am away. Not only that but banks are closed so I have to wait until Monday to ask for a refund/dispute from my bank. They need to get their email marketing and subscription processes sorted out, unless they are just trying to scam people. I am beginning to think they did this on purpose. How could they mess up that many things up? They obviously have shady business practices. It's beyond just "bad customer service". They straight up stole from me TWICE.

Sep. 30th: While my dogs do like most of the food, The Farmers Dog service has been poor to say the least. First order of food arrived warm, which may be partly beyond their control. The replacement box had less food, causing my dogs to run out quickly. When I contacted them, they suggested I prepare food for my dogs myself. However, I don't think it's fair to pay $140 biweekly and still have to cook for my pets. That's what I'm paying The Farmers Dog for. I was supposed to receive a shipment between Sep. 30th and Oct. 2nd, but on Sep. 30th it hadn't even left their facility. I'm considering discontinuing their service. After an issue with my order, they offered a free extra box, which I accepted. But when the original order didn't arrive and I voiced my concern, Annabeth from customer service quickly cancelled my subscription, which I appreciated. However, she also cancelled the extra food order out of spite. It's not the cancellation that bothers me, but the fact that they claim to have no flexibility with orders, yet they can cancel and modify them when it suits them. If they had expedited my order, there would be no issue. I had planned to donate the extra box to a local dog rescue, but now that won't happen due to The Farmers Dog's poor business practices and Annabeth's pettiness. I advise against this company. You pay premium prices for disappointment and the burden of cooking for your dogs. It's not worth $140 every two weeks to me.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY! I signed up for the 12 day food delivery for my three dogs. My first delivery was on 3/11 and after the initial 2 week 'break in period,' they proceeded to send food WEEKLY. I questioned the beef portion sizes being smaller on 4/01. They told me beef was more calorie dense. I checked and it is, although I don't think my dog's tummy's feel more full on beef days and didn't understand why more lower calorie ingredients weren't included to equalize beef meal portions. I decided I would supplement beef meals with few raw pieces of fruit or vegetables. At that time I also told them I was getting food too frequently. They verified I was on the 12 day plan and assured me they have 'MEAL PLAN TECHNOLOGY' which tracks how much food I have on hand and adjusts deliveries accordingly. I figured it would equalize out going forward due to their spiffy tracking system. WRONG! 12 day dogfood supplies continued to arrive weekly. After receiving my order on 4/15, I had more than 2 1/2 full orders in my freezer, which I only anticipated increasing. On 4/15 I requested orders be held until I notified them to send another. I was unhappy that I couldn't rely on their tracking system, but was still willing to order as needed. They assured me by email on 4/16 and again on 4/17 that they would hold orders until I requested another. I received a text on 4/20 that my next order was on it's way. I have cancelled my subscription with them and will be challenging the charge for this last delivery with my credit card company if it is not refunded. They assure me it will be, but they have repeatedly made false claims to me already. I really don't get it. Do they operate on the basis that subscriptions are going to be short lived so they *** as much as possible while they can? I would have continued doing business with this company for probably a very long time. Either this company is repeatedly incompetent or deliberately acting in bad faith.

I've been a patron of The Happy Dog for 4 months. Everything's been great and my 3-year-old Pomeranian loves the food. It was an easy switch from kibble to human-grade dog food, albeit twice the price, but our dog has thrived. Princeton even lost 2 lbs, going from 15 to 13 by slightly underfeeding him. The issue arose when I did a 2-week trial and liked it, but to get a good price, they suggested buying 14 packs for $189.00. Then, our family had the Delta Variant for 17 days in August, so we missed most of the month. I rescheduled the delivery for the week of 9/7. However, they charged me on 9/1 or 9/2. I called customer service to request a charge reversal or to use a different card, but they refused, citing company policy. I hadn't received my order yet, so this seemed unreasonable. I warned that poor service would drive me to their competitors, Chewy or NOM NOM, which could mean a loss of $11,947.50 over the years if Princeton lived to 18. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled when my request for help was denied. I've recommended The Happy Dog before, but now I'm reconsidering. I am a dog owner looking for a better alternative to dry dog food for my 7-year-old dog, Scooby. As he is getting older, I have noticed that he is not getting the proper nutrition. I tried a two-week trial from Farmer's Dog, and it seemed to go well. My dog seemed to like it, so I purchased a month's supply for October, which cost around $100. However, after about two weeks of continuously feeding my dog Farmer's Dog food, Scooby started throwing up whole pieces of carrots and green beans from the food. I filed a complaint and canceled my subscription. During the complaint, I asked which of the four options contained carrots because I believe my dog is allergic to them. The lady on the phone mentioned that only the beef and turkey options contained carrots, so she said the chicken and pork should be fine. However, I believe that the chicken and pork options also contain carrots. I think she was just trying to convince me to stay with the program. Scooby has not been himself, and I discovered that he has lumps and bumps all over his body. My poor dog is in pain both inside and out because of this food, and Farmer's Dog takes no responsibility. I do not believe that the food is custom-made as advertised, and I would appreciate it if my dog was taken care of.
I previously adjusted a monthly meal plan with this vendor. Upon doing so they outright charged my card not even 24 hours after the change. when following up with the vendor they advised they cancelled the order and any future orders and cancelled my plan. When requesting a proof of refund for my payment their response was "there is nothing they could do". simply kept my money yet cancelled my plan. This is unacceptable. I do not want any more of their products and simply just want my money to shop elsewhere.
This is a scam
This is a scam. They market as being healthy dog food that is human grade but they have a lot of additive ingredients. My dog is very sick, nothing changed but his diet so it is directly related to their product. I cancelled and they wont refund me and are still sending more food. Please help.

We ordered the Farmers Dog food and have received 3 two week shipments so far. The dog really liked the food but unfortunately, our dog ate the Beef version on 5/18 and has been throwing up with bloody, runny stools for 35 hours since. We took him to the vet and they diagnosed it was likely a pathogen in the food or an allergic reaction to something in the food. The vet bill was over $326. This is the only food the dog has eaten in the last 2 weeks - he is on a strict diet. My husband asked for a refund and to cancel the next shipment, but the company said too late to cancel even tho it has not been shipped and promptly charged us $142. 20 today 5/20. This is unacceptable, we cannot use the food anymore and risk sickening our dog again.

I cancelled my subscription as soon as it was obvious that this food was neither appetizing or safe for my little one. Even though it was a whole 5 days prior to my actual next order, Sam from customer service stated, 'I'm sadly unable to stop it at this point'. I had just received the stuff 2 days ago! And my online account does not show the order for $118.14 they charged me for today because I cancelled my subscription. They are saying they have to send the order to me but its gone off their website. It got me thinking that it just doesn't make sense with all the sites that ranked it at 1st/2nd place and customer service being a real selling point for me when I was deciding which fresh food to pick. So I looked into it deeper and the sites that ranked Farmer's Dog at the top actually got paid (by them) to do so. I feel duped!

There are so many different companies out there that are pushing their dog food you can't keep on buying different ones because you go broke. If they sent a sample I made a little sample that was at least just $10 at the most let the person choose but $35 for a trial offer and like six bag is not a trial offer to me that is just my opinion come down on the price and you might sell more some dogs are not going to eat what you send them at least not the amount.
I have been using farmers dog food now for at least a year and I’m very happy with it . My dog has had issues with other foods and it’s been hard to feed him a satisfying meal - but with farmers dog food he’s happy and I feel it’s a healthy diet for him - so I’m happy too ! Thank you farmers dog !
