Advertises organic, hand harvested and non-processed product. This is not true. Impossible. They are very processed as they smell of chemicals and have bizarre taste. I know how they should taste for sure. Smells can differ as they can be sourced from many different regions of the world, but taste is very telling! Reviews on their website seem to be written by the same person or two people. All of the comments are very similiar forensically. Hardly none of these reviews differ. Not only that, but the dates of these reviews are also questionable. All of their reviews are fairly long and very detailed, and mirror each other with capitalization, punctuation and other dead give aways. I have screenshot and saved the reviews because I suspect they will change their reviews around to make them appear more "believable" once they read my complaint here. I'm really surprised there isn't more complaints out there though. I know complaints left on certain threads, such as Topix, will be removed if someone requests it to be removed. Doesn't matter what it say's, Topix will delete it for you. Topix censors big time! They DO NOT support the First Ammendment whatsoever. Back to the seeds. I did decide to go ahead and use them but even then when heat was applied they were gross. The seed color did not bleed off into the dough like organic seeds do. I felt they tasted like a cumin-sage rub for chicken then soaked in febreeze or something. Pretty gross and definetly not worth the money! Just watch out is all.

The Nodding Turtle offers a money back guarantee and would be out of business in a week if they sold seeds as described above. As a current customer, I can tell you that the person above IS NOT. If they were, and they actually received seeds as described, they would have simply gotten their money back and would have no desire to write such a long and negative review. Shame how often Topix is used by shameless companies in attempts to slander other ones.

I have also been a customer of TNT for awhile, and I can tell you they run a first class business.
As stated above they do have a money back guarantee, and I personally cannot imagine anyone wanting one after trying their seeds! It is just sad to me that when others see someone doing something really well, that they must try to run them down. TNT runs a business as others should strive to run their own.
Sincerely, a very real happy loyal customer !

The poppy seed market is so inconsistant now. The turtle simply can't control his quality. And how would the turtle know they are organic? Does he pay a lab to test them? After they buy a batch from overseas they are stuck with it and pass it on. I'm not sure of the motivation of this complaint, but it is true, sometimes there is this chemical, bitter taste. I say fook all these dishonest half ### poot-butt vendors that have sprung up. I remember when Tazmanian alkaloids was $100 a 50lb bag and were better than anything now. But people kept posting about how great TA was, so they started washing them to the point of flavorless ness. For $2 a lb why go anywhere else? Well, the gap that has been filled by 20 or so scam artist selling either washed, steamed, worthless Turkish, or fake red seeds that are not Pap. Som.. I quit for these reasons. Who knows how much toxins I ingested from my 2 year stint. I was straight poisoned by POPPY SEED DREAMS, and weaver. Not to mention the last 2 batches from the greedy turtle "turkish special reserve dogsheet" were a 6 out of 10 scale. I decides to try one more time and got the "Taz special reserve #2" which were mid grade as well. With no refunds on orders over 5 pounds. And the turtle website always claims a "new" batch that is a 10 will be arriving next week. LOL greedy liar. The 2 replys above me are ridiculously contrived, and obviously shills for the turtle, or he wrote them himself. They appear to be writtten by the same person, just read them. The turtle has become as shady as Poppy seed tom used to be. Go ahead pay $10 a pound for mid grade possibly treated seeds.

Yea. It's the turtle leaving his own good reviews. He does this everywhere. He flowers up the spot with glorious reviews about his seeds but then turns around and deactivates The Nodding Turtle Facebook page that was loaded with complaints. He couldn't keep up with deleting the complaints because new ones kept coming in so he removed the ability to make the complaints known to other potential customers LOL! He aint like that! Ha. He doesn't want the news spreading, thats all. These companies who get stuck with gross products are not honest about it. They dont want customers to know how disgusting the product is so they dont alert customers of the change so customers can decide for themselves whether or not they want to try or risk it. Nope. They advertise as an "original product" knowing damn well that isn't the case. No, they instead lead the customer to believe the product is the normal yummy product and then "stick it" to the customer so they can recoup their own loss. I dont give a crap if "thats business" or not. It's a dirtbag scummy thing to do and their deception is birthed from greed. Their motto? "It's better the customer wastes their money than us!"

These companies have no integrity. None.

It is my intention to put each (liar) one on blast! It is my intention to be relentless about it. I will post everywhere. I cant save all customers, but I can save some. Even if it means preventing just one sale then its worth it to me. If it means their pockets wont be lined with horrible seed money from just one sale, then its worth it! I hope they check their fiscal sales record this time next year. I hope I made a dent in it by then.

Yours Truly,
You Cant Be Serious

"Premium Unwashed Poppy Seeds!" That fanfare greeting first time visitors to Nodding Turtle's website strongly implies that a totally different experience can be had from the Turtle's poppy seeds, "Premium Unwashed Poppy Seeds!" . That, along with 'testimonials' carefully selected by the Nodding Turtle staff (i.e., feedback giving less than a 9/10 rating isn't published by N.T. on their website. Positive reviews only are shown. That kind of selective editing alone concerns me). I have much experience with poppy seeds and, on occasion, have purchased from Nodding Turtle.

The truth of the matter is I've gotten no better effect from N.T.'s seeds than I have typical pre-packaged seeds from Amazon.com. Ok, ok, yes the wash from N.T.'s seeds is darker, the taste is far more bitter, but still the overall, bottom line effect is just no different. And actually there were a couple of times that I got sick from N.T.'s "Special Reserve" seeds: a sea sick-like dizziness with a restless, uncomfortable feeling. When that happened I felt like either the seeds were treated, or they contained way too much thebaine. Not exactly what I'd want to spend money on, not exactly what one would expect from "premium" poppy seeds.

Yet, Nodding Turtle retains an ardent fan base. I believe it's partly psychological attraction from teenagers & very young adults: "Nick is such a cool dude, and man the wash from his seeds is so dark." It's like a reverse placebo effect. But to someone who knows what good poppy seeds are like, from experience, the Nodding Turtle's stuff often is no better than what you can buy elsewehere. The Nodding Turtle brand is overhyped. Oh, and no I'm not a shill for his competitor, Poppy Seed Tom or whatever his name is. I've never purchased from Tom and I do not plan to.

I have had an absolutely horrific experience with this company.

The first time I ordered, the order was not even shipped until 6 days after I had paid for it. At that point, I wanted to cancel it. The company was slow to respond to my emails. They promised a refund for my shipping costs, which never came. Eventually, after paying for 2 day shipping, and getting my order a week and a half later, they sent a "freebie". Which, ok, that was nice of them.

So I thought, what the heck, I'll order again from them.

The order comes, but it it NOT WHAT I ORDERED. It came in a timely manner, but it was not as advertised. I have repeatedly sent emails to their customer service, and have gotten not a single reply.

What I requested was not unreasonable, I simply wanted the correct product or a refund. No reply.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEB SITE.

I've been a customer for a couple of months and have compared the quality of The Nodding Turtle with Poppy Seed Dreams and can definitely say from my own experience that TNT is vastly superior. The Nodding Turtle's seeds are much stronger, and you can even tell by the taste that they are unwashed and untreated while Poppy Seed Dreams had a very weak and washed taste. I had a problem with placing an order and receiving the wrong brand. When letting them know this they sent the proper brand shipping included, and even said keep the other brand as a gift. They always reply to emails within the same day (sometimes within only a couple hours). My experience with TNT has been nothing but the best, Poppy Seed Dreams not so much.

Ordered just once and the seeds were absolutely legit. Do poppy seeds vary? Of course they do. Do you think there's a magic poppy field somewhere just shooting out the same exact flowers every day? If you're going to be a fa-king shill, then do these two things before you go spreading your obviously untrue shill bullshyte:

1. Ask for a refund you cheap ###(s)(note that this is probably one single person leaving all of these negative reviews. You can see that the grammar, sentence/paragraph structure is very alike between the 3 or 4 supposedly different people complaining). They guarantee their products. They'll give you a refund. If you've placed an order, and complained, and they didn't respond or give you a refund, take a screenshot. Post it. Let's see proof. Eh? That's what I thought.

and

2. Don't order from them anymore. (see above: "So I thought, what the heck, I'll order again from them"). You idiot. Duurrrr, I'm not happy with mah order, but what the hey, I'ma go ahead and order again! Are you insane? This is what really confirmed what I was already thinking while I was reading through this bullshyte complaint- it's fake. I would have thought this would go without saying, but some people are fa-king idiot liars. My guess, it's hella easy to leave negative feedback over and over again, with the same computer. Some competitor is on here trying his/her best to steer customers away from a well-known, legit, and reliable vendor of unwashed seeds. GTFO. Get a life, idiot.

its one thing for a customer to go out of their way to voice their complaints in great length and detail about a product or company. bbut its quite another when a customer goes out of their way to defend that same company and theres nothing in it for them. or is there? QQ lol. if a customer is totally satisfied with a company and their product, how do they manage to find complaints about that company unless they're looking for it? and if they were looking for it, why? lol. im sure "agrainofsalt" was in such awe with the product that they were compelled to look for a decent place to leave raving reviews and booyah, found it on a complaint board page lol. their comment was left during the time frame (see date) that TNT had their facebook page up where it could of been left there. the comment date also aligns with the time frame for which reviews were welcomed on TNT's 'order site' provided that the reviews were positive lol. perhaps the reason why TNT disabled the review section of their site is because there was malfunctions considering every single review that was posted there were always positive ones. somehow those pesky negative reviews never seemed to quite make it on there lol. oh well. im sure its just because out of the hundreds of customers who decided to leave a review just never had anything negative to say! not. nary. a. one. ever! lol then, of course, there was the time were the facebook page was deactivated, then reactivated, deactivated, and the reactivated again. let me see if its deactivated right now lol. it seems to be back up but i didnt rummage through it. surely there are no negative reviews there and in the extremely rare event that there is, im confident it wouldnt be removed lol.

so im sure 'agrainofsalt' is real authentic customer who simply takes loyalty to a whole new level and they just so happened stumble upon this page while NOT looking to see if anyone was talking smack about their favorite poppy seed company lol. i wonder do they do this for ALL their "favorite" companys? grocery stores? apparel stores? restaurants? lol. if so, ill bet those companys just love having a true ride or die customer like that who takes the time to seek out negative grievances left by unhappy customers so they can combat those complaints with their own positive reviews in a true superhero fashion lol. good for you, Captain Positive Review. (super hero themes chime in here) i will be taking your review seriously, agrainofsalt, as i know it comes from the heart and that is what makes it sincere and highly beleivable. thank you. :)

I don't know what is going on with this guy constantly complaining under different usernames but what he's saying is not correct. I've been a TNT customer for about 11 months and only experienced a weak batch of seeds twice. Most of the time their seeds are 7 to 8 on the scale of 1 to 10. Any vendor who claims their seeds are always the best is lying because seeds vary in strength due to many factors (time of year, country they are imported from, the effect of weather on growing conditions, method and speed of transport to the United States, and so on). The way you can know if a seed vendor is honest is that they will be forthright about the strength of their seeds. If they get a weak batch they'll say so. TNT has done that a few times. They wouldn't still be in business if they were as crappy as this guy is claiming. I purchase seeds from three vendors and I consider TNT to rank #2 in my list. They give refunds whenever there's a problem and I've even had them give me free express overnight shipping when they made a mistake on my order. The level of loquacious vitriol coming from this person is way way over the top and obviously personal which means either he's (1) a competitor trying to damage TNT's business, or he's (2) an intolerant person with a personality disorder and in need of anger management.

The balls roll funny for everyone, Guys..
I recently left a response on the other (resolved) link which is worth reading. This is a tough business especially since it primarily depends on the weather from year to year. Although, I will say Poppy seed dreams was on top of this game before TNT was ever around. And with all due respect to other vendors they continued to dominate in quality & price even after they were around back in [protected]. They (PSD) really began raising the bar to a new higher standard back in [protected]. I've also learned that PSD were even generous enough to help supply & build other vendors good rep.'s in the past years but I won't go on to disclose who those other vendors were. Now, I don't believe in mud slinging especially on a review forum for someone else's company. However, I will say that each of these companies have had their shares of ups & downs which goes for every vendor in the seed business. As I said earlier, these seed vendors have a tough job providing the best and/or same quality to us year after year and we all should just try to keep that mind & respect them all, Troy C.

I have quit using TNT, Nodding Turtle which I have been a customer of for at least close to two years. It wasn't due to quality, which I have found to be average to above average, but customer service. I have received quite a few orders late, up to nine days. I have a small business which makes soaps and baked goods and have customers that depend on me. I recently lost a customer, a natural foods store that I depended on for income. I have other customers but this loss did hurt me and my reputation. I realize USPS can be slow but lately NT has taken their time sending orders. Their customer service sends automated emails when I complain and doesn't feel very personalized. I will miss the product though.

I see a lot of authentic comments complaining about quality. Then I see an awfully lot of fake comments clearly written by the scumbag everyone is complaining about.

Let's just get it over with an DDOS his site. I'm sure we can find someone on the darkweb to preform that type of task. He's ripped so many people off he deserves it. Everyone throw down 20 bucks each so we can hire someone to take this scammer down for good.
