promotion / buy seed phytonutrients product get a two set seed phytonutrients product free valued at $39.
I placed order in the morning and free product showed up in my cart. It was supposed to be a free travel friendly skincare duo, Seed Phytonutrients gentle facial cleanser and lightweight facial lotion. I try to do promotions to try new products to see if they work for our household. I've also received orders at least twice missing items I ordered and paid for. They ship order and it doesn't show up in box or on my order online. This is happened to me before. I think this is a dishonorable practice. Of course they say they ran out of product every time. I feel like this is very deceiving. Buyer Beware !
annual membership fee
I have never shop from Thrive Market, heard this company until yesterday and never have signed up for Membership but on 13th of August when I checked my bank account I realized Thrive Market took $59.95 out from my account without my permission. So I contacted the customer support and complained. Support personnel said this is escalation issue, and going to report to higher department. And also wanted me to wait 24 hours to hear from Thrive Market by email, asked my email address and last 4 numbers of my debt so I provide my information but have not received any email about my complaints. All I received since was annoying commercials, I am thinking about sue this company and report for Freud.
Based on the reviews ThriveMarket.com sounds like a total scam that rips unsuspecting users of for $59.95 whether they sign-up for the services or not if you so much as buy one item. Just think, if they can do this to even just 500 potential users pre mont, that's $30k per month. And all they have to do is send a little mailer in an envelope with 35 other "local" merchants coupons and BAMM... $30k in their pocket. And 500 people are out $59.95 against their will... It's a numbers game scam.
I bought some fish sauce from Thrive Market on 12/2021 for $22.47 and paid with my credit card. Next month they use my credit card information to charge my credit card $59.95 without any purchase, without my permission or any reason. I notified FTC to prevent this problem happens to others.
membership fees
I tried to cancel my membership A few months ago it said my membership will end in June. Now I see I've been charged another membership fee for another year
I do not want to be a member how can I get my money returned? I am very disappointed since I have tried earlier to cancel it I really did not prepare for that money to be withdrawn please help me. I am retired and I'm on a limited income this puts a burden on me. Now I will not be able to pay a very necessary bill unless I get that money back.
unauthorized credit card charges
I cancelled the membership fees november 2016 via email (ticket number 1404178) and I am still being billed annually. I need my refund immediately.
Not good business practice, I am very disappointed.
To make matters worse thrive market representatives do not respond quickly to emails nor do they have a 24 hour help line.. Will never do business with this company again.
Yeah, first order with this company...very unprofessional group. They sneak that "oh yeah we're charge you $60 to shop in our online store"...they play games! If you have problems with them file a complaint with Consumer Affairs and The Better Business Bureau AND go to your Credit Card you used and report what they're doing. Haven't even got my first (and probably only) and I already so dislike these outfit! They're SNEAKY! What them!
annual membership fee (that I did not purchase or agree to)
Here's a copy of this evening's LiveChat conversation that I had with a Thrive Market Customer Service Representative. Unreal.
I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a second complaint, my credit card company to dispute this company's "membership" fee, and my lawyer to see if it's even legal for a digital company to not offer any digital option for canceling a login or "membership fee" online.
- Unsatisfied (Non) Customer
Same with me! They are so in the wrong and they do not care that they are stealing from innocent people!
yearly membership
I tried the company and made a one time order. I NEVER authorized/signed up for a yearly membership and I yet I was charged the 59.99 for a subscriptions. That is unacceptable and I want the money refunded! I was just trying a one time order to see if I liked the products. I was not impressed and do not want to make any more orders from thrive market. Especially after they took money out of my account without me authorizing it
over-charging more than the price you agree to pay at check-out
Complete scam. On two occassions, I placed orders over $49, using a code which guarantees a discount of $20 from orders over $49 for your first 3 orders. On *both* occasions, even though the promo code was successfully added, AFTER paying, the website switched the code to one for 20% off- meaning a lower discount for me, the customer. I noticed right away each time and contacted customer service for help. On both occassions, the representatives acted as if it had been my fault. The first claimed I had used the 20% off code (no I did not). The second claimed my order had been under $49 (it clearly wasn't, and this could be seen from order history- AND the code that they automatically apply themselves is only valid on orders over $49 too).
thrive borage oil
never received the product, never recieved notification that it was "undeliverable" as when I logged in, it told me. Impossible bc my office is open 7a-7pm, told it was sent to a local health food store-who had no knowledge of it, and when finally I found a customer service number on the internet-since the website provides none, I have been on the phone for over 15 min waiting for a supervisor since regular customer service (Bridget) couldnt authorize a criedt to my cc or re-delivery unless another "service person" was contacted-it is a joke so far-still on hold

cancellation of membership due to violation of tos?
I bought 20 X 3 packages of pork rinds. Paleo Friendly. I, and my family, are all on a LCHF WOL. We have been and have actually cured several serious medical conditions.
On the 14th of November 2017, I was advised by Thrive market that my order was cancelled.
This was because I appeared to be buying to re-sell the pork rinds. They apparently considered the "amount" to be staggering and provide them the right to assume I was some type of re-seller.

Of course, I'm not, I'm a retired LAPD cop and a Full time Realtor.
I did not know there was a good return on re-selling pork rinds.
I called to complain, I was hung up on every time.
I also emailed and wanted a explanation and to get my order. BTW, I usually buy these at Whole Foods - I was attempting to only save .10 cents per package, not huge, but something...

I received this email back:
Hello,
Thank you for trying out Thrive Market. We're sorry to see you go.
I have canceled your membership and processed a request to refund your membership fee in full. No further action is necessary from you, and you should see the refund in your account over the next 3-5 business days.
We hope you'll consider joining Thrive Market again in the future!

I did not ask to "go" - I wanted my pork rinds.
Well, after reading the rest of these complaints on Complaints Board, I'm glad I was "cancelled" - hope this helps you.
intentional scam
Please, be careful.
You have to know that once you buy their membership, they will charge you every month for this. And no, their website has no information about it, you are not warned and have no idea what to expect.
So now you know.
The amount of money is not small. It's almost sixty dollars. Every. Single. Month.
For something you bought once and maybe you're not planning to buy anything else, you'll still be charged.
That's how it works.
Cancelling this is another story, but still the same pain in the a&&.
unauthorized charge
I cancelled my membership months ago, I believe June or July and I was charged for the yearly subscription October 23rd. I need it refunded immediately. My email associated with the account is [protected]@gmail.com. I am absolutely furious. Clearly, this is a common occurrence and it's unacceptable. You are stealing from customers who once loved you.
order [protected]
My package order [protected] was not delivered. I received a notification on Monday Oct. 23 at 11:06am that my package had been delivered. It was not on my front porch, garage, or anywhere on my property and someone was home all day. I waited 3 days as your email says to and it is still not delivered. I expect this issue to be resolved as soon as possible or you will lose a customer. Thank you.
unauthorized charge
Money was taken.off of my debit card from someone in your department of a charge I did not authorize and I had to get another debit card an make a dispute report through my bank, I need this matter resolved or further action will be taken, I did not order anything, so I need to get a refund as soon as possible, my email address is:[protected]@gmail.com
I just received my charge card billing statement, on this statement there are 2 charges. these charges are Sept 30th for $97.21 and on Oct 30th a charge of $97.21. These charges are not authorized for charging anything to my charge card. I want my Capital One charge card to show a credit of $194.42.
This is fraud, Please contact me @ mary1jerkovich@mchsi.com to verify you have received this message.
awful business
Is there any information about cancellation? Why is this such a huge secret?
Sent them an email asking to tell me about it - got nothing. Their website doesn't provide a service likу that. No special form, buttons and that kind of stuff. The phone number that's shown on the website is a working one, but when you call, you have to wait for hours for someone to pick up. Probably. I couldn't wait for that long.
Simply awful, guys.
membership
I am so unbelievably mad about Thrive Market. I canceled my membership on their website SEVERAL months back and then they charged my card for another membership on June 9th! They charged me $59.95. I canceled my membership and they are still taking money! This is absurd and unacceptable. I need my money to be refunded because I did NOT agree to this.
membership
I had cancelled my membership approximately 6 months ago and was assured that this would be noted on my account and that no further debit to my checking account would occur but it did today. I called them to cancel the debit and reverse it immediately but unfortunately it will take a few days for the reversal. This debit caused my checking account to drop below the account minimum which I may be charged a fee. This company cannot be trusted.
thrive market, nick green, christophsis pallantesis, gunnar lovelace, would not refund my money culver city california
In April of 2017 I placed an order for a product that was being offered for just shipping. On May 22nd A $60 membership fee was deducted from my checking account. I went to the Thrive Market website to find the place to contact the company to cancel my account and could only find a way to send an email to ask questions. I sent an email telling them I want my money refunded and my membership cancelled. I received an email back saying my membership was canceled and refunded in 2015 There was a phone number on the email to call, so I called to speak to customer service for clarification. Turns out I didn't realize that when I sent away for a free product last time I used my email, and this time I used the email attached to my facebook account, which is a different email. I was told that the last time they canceled my account they gave me a courtesy refund and that they could give me a six month membership and give me back half my money. I told them I didn't want half my money back, I wanted it all back and my membership canceled. I will admit I was not very nice-but the money they had deducted from my account caused my rent check to bounce and a $30 overdraft fee that I couldn't afford. Plus, now I was out $60 and as a result, $90 short for rent. When the Customer Service Rep wouldn't help me I asked to be sent to a supervisor, who basically kept repeating the same things and was unwilling to help. She told me she was the end of the line and I couldn't go above her for help. There is no contact information for Thrive on their website or pretty much anywhere else. I was able to find the names Nick Green, Gunnar Lovelace and Kate Mullen as the co founders, but no way to contact them. I just want my money back and the account canceled. They told me they had sent an email on May 15th saying they would take money from my account. I looked through even my spam folder, and while I did find some emails offering deals, there was nothing notifying me of the deduction. If I had seen one, I would have canceled earlier.
I don't get products
I live in England and my Master Card bill showed a Thrive Market yearly fee for £46.50. I never signed up for this and I want compensation. How in the hell did they find and do this to me? I'm going to the bank and see what I can do.
This is insane. When I try to contact them I get a page that says 406 Not Acceptable. I have never heard of Thrive Life and why would I order anything from them when I live in the UK?
I want reimbursement from this company or deletion of the £46.50.
This is an empty fee of complete nothing which I can't afford.
fraudulent yearly membership fee
I ordered a jar of avocado mayonnaise (which wasn't even good) in March of 2016, which was advertised as being at just the cost of shipping (which, as I remember, was probably enough to cover the product anyway). I noticed an odd charge for a yearly membership on my credit card on April 2017 and called them to inquire, not remembering who they were/what they sell. I was told that I was sent several notices of the upcoming charge. I had all my emails from them up at that time, and could see that I had NO notices -- just the "thanks for renewing your membership" on the same date as the charge. They said (upon my asking) that I was charged last year too, but agreed to refund this year's membership fee since I didn't know I was agreeing to a membership. I received an email from them saying the charge (for Order #[protected]) is to be refunded. (We'll see if it actually is added back to my credit card. If it isn't, I will be contesting the charge with my credit card.) They said that I had $40-some dollars of credit I could use, but I declined. After reading other reviews on here, I'm wondering if I had taken them up on buying $40 of products with my "credit", if they would've used that as an excuse to not refund the membership fee (saying I used the membership after purchasing it). Do not fall for the "freebies" this company offers! I was a sucker, thinking they were selling me the product at cost to try to gain new customers.
remove credit card information after cancellation
The website does not allow me to remove my credit card information after my account has been cancelled.
I find this suspect behavior by company that has no way to cancel your own subscription and remove credit card information.
I have called and been placed on hold regarding this failure in their business model.
After two years of trying to remove my credit card after a cancelled account. My credit card information is still there. I would like a way to remove it. The phone operator said she can't do it. Neither can I.
I want a way to obliterate my account so I can never get sales pitches from them again.
This is like a bad divorce. I can not get free even after it is OVER!
Let me tell you a little secret...pay Thrive Market (and companies like them) using an online payment company like "PayPal"...that way they don't get your credit card or banking information and if they give you s##t, you can turn to PayPal to help resolve it. Just keep track of all your conversations, emails, receipts, etc. This is a highly unprofessional company with very immature unprofessional staff answering the phones, absolutely amazed by what I'm hearing and what I dealt with today! If that doesn't work, you can appeal to your credit card company...always protect yourself...you never know what some of these companies will pull with your personal information! Close the credit card down and have the company issue you a new one. Then open a complaint against them to get your "fees & membership" charges back!
Martha, can a new credit card help? They scammed me too with a yearly fee that I just received. I live in England and have never heard of Thrive Market, and have never ordered products from them. I don't know how they got my credit card number but it is a big SCAM. I'm going to the bank tomorrow and have them advise me.
