I called TMT automotive of Mishawaka on 8/28/23 to ask if they worked on or replaced cvt transmissions, was told yes and they could tow my vehicle to them. Upon approving them to tow it, I get a call the next day giving me an estimate and concluding they worked with my warranty company. I then got a call on 8/31/23 stating my vehicle was ready just waiting on payment through warranty company. Afternoon of 9/1/23 I went to the shop in person to see if payment had been made so I could pay remaining balance. I paid balance and then got my key. Upon leaving parking lot, vehicle was louder than before. Upon driving home and work that weekend, vehicle got so loud I did not hear a fire engine with the windows up.
My father, a previous auto tech looked at the vehicle and said the axle nut was no longer coupled up like it should have been and the pin was ground down. We had changed the brakes 3 weeks prior and knew it was not in that condition. Upon going back to shop on 9/5/23 after holiday weekend, the tech was dismissive of us trying to find out how they could have done the work without ruining pieces. Vehicle is no longer drivable without replacing multiple parts including right front axle and tie rod and the rotor and pad are messed up now.
Desired outcome: I would like my vehicle to be fully fixed, safe to drive. I would also like the techs to be more knowledgeable of if they mess things up, they fix it, and what is safe to drive.
