I asked TOD to find a contractor for an emergency boiler repair.
TOD billed me £300 including parts and labour.
Parts and labour were billed separately by the contractor - a further £600. My issue is not with the contractor - but with TOD.
In effect I was charge £300 by TOD for placing a call to a contractor.
When I queried this with TOD their representative Alec Horsfield provided me with a curt response which was, to all intents and purposes, "read the T&Cs". He did also advise me that if I wanted an explanation of the intricacies of running his service he would be happy to do that at a minimum cost of £1000.
Nowhere in the T&Cs is it clear that for your £300 you will just be getting a phone call

Claimed loss: I've written this off but I would strongly advise anyone not to use TOD - just a complete rip off.
