What a scam! User name and passwords no longer worked. I also ordered the "hard copies", and then never received them. Once I notified them of this, they said they couldn't find a charge for these items. So, I provided them a copy of my credit card statement which clearly outlines I was charged for both the online and hard copies... But guess what? Nothing. No refund. They no longer return my emails... But they were happy to take my money. Stay away from this website. Run!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Please do beware Nacy Richards and co are CROOKS they will bombard you with e-mails making all kinds of claims and offering free this and that sign up today so as not to miss this free offer etc. Avoid at all costs you will be robbed blind I can only warn you.
Yes ! Scam, scam scam! Links to pay cancellation pages come up Error 404 Page Not Found. Even using their front door to cancel results in them still trying to take payment. I emptied the account just in case they tried to take payment. They tried and sent me a payment failure message. Bank says only remedy is to close my bank account and open a new one. Be warned! Mike 12-11-2012.
Finally got their website to acknowledge payment cancellation - what a long drawn out process! Proof will be in the pudding next month.
Agree, not what I was led to believe. Asking for money back now. "money back refund guarantee" We'll see...
Agree totally
My email and password don’t work! And I never got the hard copy I ordered either ... total rip off ...
I am now getting ‘payment failure ‘emails ... well of course I am 😊I cancelled and blocked all payments to this bogus company! Reported them to the bank too and in the UK that’s an investigation into the activity of the company . Not one more penny from me 😡 Learnt my lesson, just hope the reviews put people off and keep them away from this site
Don't even click their link! Total scam. When trying to sign up for one month they popped me through two dozen windows begging me to upgrade to other options for the low, one time only offered price. I closed the browser session it was so frustating. But instead of having cancelled my order (because I never finished it) they signed me up for the "elite" recurring monthly fee! Don't even click their link!
Please block and do not send one penny to this website. What a scam. Preying upon new puppy owners and tugging at your heartstrings. Well isn't that the classic frauster's tricks?
Received a fraud alert from Chase immediately after payment.
Thank you to all who reported the fraudulent claims of this company. I am a long time owner of Min Pins and way, way back I bred, trained and showed Dobermans. I've also trained several other breeds and delt with dogs rescued from puppy mills. Their 'breed specific' 'switch is bogus. Every dog is an individual and if it is from a responsible breeder, all they need is love and consistency. (And a good training book based on positive feedback ). If you have a dog with problems from a lack of socialization as a puppy and what is available for free on YouTube, contact a local dog trainer for hands on help. And do your research on them. E-collars are not evil and in the right hands, just the vibrate mode can work wonders on a dog. There are no 'bad dogs'. They just need help overcoming past abuse.
Scam has a new home at https://k9ti.org/ K9 Training Institute. Uses fake reviews with stock image photos of the customers. Also claims to be provided by Eric Presnall. This time claims to include a woman named Dr. Alexa Diaz
Hi - I handle customer service for the K9 Training Institute. We aren't going to comment on the business practices of another website but just to clarify, we are not associated with trainpetdog in any way. Dr. Alexa Diaz (a service dog trainer with more than 20 years of experience training service dogs) and Eric Presnall (former host of the Animal Planet TV show called Who Let the Dogs Out) are the people who created the free dog training workshop that you'll find on our site. Hope that helps.
Hi @akloka, I have just finished watching your free course on your website, and am seriously considering buying your masterclass. The above complaint is the only negative thing I have found online about your company, but I guess I am a cautious person. Is there anyway you could help ease my mind about the allegations of you being connected to ‘train pet dog’. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
You may want to check out our reviews on Sitejabber - https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/k9ti.org Hope that helps :)
Anyone find it strange that @Flynn.D has never posted anything but this? Was about to click "enroll now", but its DEFINITELY a scam. Thanks for the heads up!
How bout comment on this? I just sent $297.00 via PayPal. Hard to spend but I want my puppy well trained. The site immediately said they “couldn’t access my card” for some reason yet PAYPAL sent them my money! I received nothing! No email to my 2 emails. No call back (phone number is in CA, not Florida). I feel like I’ve been scammed and now I have to tell my family we lost $297.00 cause I was trying to help our puppy! Merry Christmas! 😢😡🤬 If I get a call, classes or an email I’ll redo this.
Hi - I am sorry about the problem you faced using your credit card but am glad that you were able to purchase via Paypal. I checked our customer service helpdesk and saw that one of my colleagues Julie had responded to you within a hour or so of receiving your message and has also sent across the username and password for accessing our masterclass. The email address from which you had emailed us did not match the email address associated with the Paypal account that you had used to purchase, which is why it took our team some time to track down your purchase. If you have any other questions, please contact us via https://k9ti.org/contact-us/ Thank you!
Bubsy777 - I have been seriously thinking of buying their product. When you told me that you thought they were scammers, I contacted them and asked them about your review and they pointed me to their response to you on another site where you had also left a review. I had copied and pasted their response to you from the other site. Can you confirm that you were able to access their product?
I have been trying to contact K9ti but the request form will not go through. How else can I contact this business? They say in their presentation that there is a money-back guarantee and I'm not able to use the classes and can't reach them to get promised refund. would like a response.

Did you mean the form on our Contact Us page - https://k9ti.org/contact-us? I just checked the form and it seems to be working correctly. Can you please submit your request again via that form? Once you submit the form, one of my colleagues will process your refund request as soon as possible. If it still doesn't work, please let me know the specific error message that you are receiving. Thank you.
Why isn't the contact page working? I have tried to send messages to them at least 6 times and nothing will go through. very poor customer service.
I think you may have missed my reply to your previous message? If the contact us page isn't working for you (I just tested it again and it's working fine for me), can you please let me know the specific error message that you are receiving? Thank you.
Hi Bubsy777, did you end up signing up ? im seriously considering signing up and was wondering if you did and how you like it
I’m reading this thread with great interest. Here is my detailed experience so far with K9ti.
Most recent… During December 2022 I tried to call the K9ti business number regarding a promotional price and consistently got a recorded message that the number was not a working number.I emailed my question which was why the promotional $200 was not appearing when I attempted to process my purchase. I would have purchased the Masterclass for $297 but not $497.
Meanwhile, everyday during the promotional 10 offer period I received received some form of a clearly mass produced marketing letter. Never once did I receive a personal email reply or phone reply.
I knew if there was no direct, reliable means of communication at time of purchase, there would also be no reliable means of communication for training questions or refunds.
Easy decision for me. I walked away.
From personal experience, I highly recommend investigating via BBB and Trust Pilot. I also recommend reviewing comments online. I’ve avoided several businesses that have suave marketing language that fronts poor actual practice.
This organization has a highly articulate, polished marketing platform. They use research based animal behavior theory and vocabulary and the credentials of the founder to appear legitimate. ( NOTE: I’m a PhD educator myself, so this absolutely resonated with me.)
To conclude my lengthy comment, I sincerely hope someone from K9ti views my reply and offers an explanation regarding my assertions about their failed working business number and inability to respond specifically when I responded to their computer generalized replies.
NOTE: Additionally, several of the automated replies I received in December, 2022 included the name “Oreo”, a rescue dog I was fostering and had entered in my original 2021 purchase inquiry I had made.
My December, 2022 inquiry is for a different puppy. I decided to again look again at this program. The problems are still the same. No active working phone. No personalized response. More signs of computerized errors and lack of personal attention.
I am confused at which dog training company the complaints are about. Are you talking about K9ti?
They are talking about trainpetdog.com. k9ti seems to be a reputable site at least based on their reviews on Sitejabber.
Nope. Scammers
I'm confused-Which training are you talking about? K9ti?
Disclaimer: I didn't buy trainpetdog's course, so this complaint is solely based off of my limited experience and the potential red flags I see.
So I first stumbled upon "trainpetdog.com" when I was researching Havanese dogs. On their site, I selected my dog's breed (Havanese) and was led to a "free presentation". I watched it and was extremely impressed by "how different Havanese are from other dogs", as stated in the video. I definitely thought they were legit. I signed up for their email tips.
Yesterday, I decided to revisit the site. This time, I selected a random dog breed---Border Collie---and on the page was, guess what, the exact same video as the havanese video I had watched, except, of course, modified to fit the change of breed. Under a photo of two children playing with a Collie was: "Border Collies are different, but you knew that anyway didn't you!" Well, I watched the video presentation above again. Same video: same story about Holly and her dog Abby, except this time Abby was a Border Collie. Same BS about the mental trigger in Border Collie's heads, and about how popular methods often backfire for THIS PARTICULAR BREED. Oh, are you telling me "popular" training methods backfire for EVERY SINGLE DOG BREED out there? Nancy Richards also says, "Of course, all dogs are pack animals, but especially [dog breed]." She says this for every single type of dog breed. Don't believe it? Here, try:
www.trainpetdog.com/Labrador-Retriever/index1.php?page=dogmembers&a=
(Right now, I have it on Labrador Retrievers---an extremely popular breed. Change the part where it says "Labrador Retriever" and instead put in another dog breed. Put a dash in between the words if the dog breed is two-worded, such as Labrador Retriever.)
To conclude: Do I think they are a scam? Quite possibly. Either way, I don't like their style of advertising how "unique" their dog training course is by talking about that mental trigger in a dog's brain and tricking you to think that your particular dog breed has a special mental trigger.
I, a to-be Havanese owner, researched this video and found it informative and even screen-recorded it on my computer since the video repeated that "this presentation will not be up for long!" ...That was probably yet another tactic to get people to spend their money on this dog training course.
Attached to this comment are images showing the presentations on Border Collies and Havanese, as well as
Buyer be ware! Unfriendly & rude. I ordered in error. I cancelled immediately after ordering. Customer service treated me rude. They told me they would refund my money, I have yet to see it. I’ve made several calls and get the same rude treatment with the same broken promises of a refund. I will be making a complaint with the BBB
They don't get in touch with you I feel like it's nothing but a scam I would never do it again. They take your money and you don't get what you're supposed to get
We are sorry to hear about your complain Sharon. Please email us to info@trainpetdog.com or call us at +1-310-400-6364 and we will serve you immediately.
Most definitely a scam company. Battled for a refund with them for months and NOTHING was ever refunded. I even closed down my credit card because they wouldn't stand behind me in fighting this company that literally STEALS from you.
