On Sept 23, 2008 payment was processed for $37.00. Recieved notification via e-mail that I would received username and password with 24 hours to access the website. It is now October 18, 2008 and I have yet to received anything from this website. I have sent numerous e-mails asking for a refund and have again received no response from anyone.
I believe this website is a scam and unfortunately I became one of their victims.
There's a site dedicated to information about this scam:
http://www.nancyrichards.org
It should help people stay away from the dog training institute scam sites IF they do a simple search before they purchase products.
But sometimes we forget...
It IS possible and worth trying to get your money back by writing a letter to Nabanipa Roy in India (as mentioned in the terms of the site).
I DID receive a refund within one or two weeks after sending the letter.
That's the last time I purchase ANYTHING through where I did! My friend bought a supposed great flashlight from same place and it wasn't let's just put it that way! I purchased that same pet trainer system and was promised three books if purchased by midnight that night then it turned into three weeks later by midnight my great aunt Fanny! I wish I looked in here before I bought but I'm lucky I'm only out $37.00
How are they allowed to keep scamming didn't know I paid them a couple weeks ago also would like to see how to get my money back
i to have been taked can not get into the site paid 37.00 what a scam
I'm so happy to have found this site! It's such a shame that there's a site dedicated to scams! What is this world coming to? 😓
I want my $37.00 back AND I AM CANCELLING THIS DIRTY DEAL!
I paid $37.00 but did not receive the promiced goods.
Interesting that all e-mails were returned because "Institute" is not probably existing. Shame on you America!
No wonder your economy at the crisis - the country full of crooks, and there is no Law to fight them!
They're in Cyprus believe it or not! I tried getting someone to call me back numerous times! Ugh I'm so surprised that that site allows people to be scammed through what's considered a great place?! 😏
Sorry you were ripped off but please don't blame America for your bad luck. I, too, fell victim from this scam, but upon calling my bank to stop all future charges, I was told that the first attempt to charge my credit card came out of the country of Cypress and was refused as my bank er said they do not ever do business with Cypress due to the high amount of fraud. The second attempt to bill my card was attempted in India, as I guess they understand that many banks know not to do business with Cypress. So, it looks like more of an International scam, not just U.S., but even so, if I had been ripped off by a company in your country, I would never think to blame your entire country, nor would I wish ill upon your economy. G'day, mate.
A tip for anyone before buying something off the internet always look at the web address on the payment page.. It should always start with "http/www." Never "www." This is a tattletale sign of a scam! Thank goodness I did research on this what seemed to be amazing break through to help train my 3 month old German Shepard become a perfectly mannered dog. The nerve of these people, taking advantage like this. You should always research things like this. Simple and takes only seconds. I googled "Nancy Richards online dog training" and it came up with RIPOFF right away!
I'm so surprised that where I bought it from, Facebook allowed people to scam others via their site?
I was about to sign up and pay, when I looked it up and it immediately showed up as a SCAM. That really saved me. I am disabled and on disability income and couldn't afford a loss. They give you a "special offer" urging victims with a deadline to hurry for such a "bargain". This should be a dead giveaway being so high pressure.
I'm glad someone was smart enough to do research BEFORE purchasing! Good for you! 👍🏻
Thank you for all your help I was about to sign up for this scam, glad I checked it out first. Something should be done with people like this but what can you do if you can't find them. Thanks again for all your help.
Glad I checked further before signing up. Many thanks for being spared this "gotcha"!
I too was ripped off by this scam and had to cancel my credit card, and purchase a new card. JUST A BIG RIP OFF!
We did that too!
Thanks for your reviews! I also was about to buy the dog obedience class. THANK YOU!
The advert appeared on Facebook - in particular "potty training"! for Maltese Poodles in early December . I requested the first part of the story at 19 dollars odd (a lot of money at this point in S. Africa's situation) thinking I would assess the situation and decide if there was sufficient info to participate. The emails kept coming and I looked at a few and there is nothing in them but "waffle" telling you how wonderful the results are but NO actual info. I sent an email to them on the 30th December saying this was a hoax and did not expect to hear any more. I have now discovered that
they informed me by email that I have joined the club @ 37.dollars and are sending me more waffle. I have also had to cancel my credit card. JUST A RIP OFF it seems.
Was told I would receive a book on dog training. On the photo it shows a hard bound book . I have tried to message her but no reply . It said money guarantee back if you are not satisfied but you can't reach anyone..
I responded to the offer of the free emails to housebreak my German Shepherd. I receive one email a day with tips to housebreak her. I used the tips and in one week she was trained. The free tips are very useful and make perfect sense. I too was about to buy in to the $37 scheme. Sorry to hear this is a scam. I loved the free emails, they were very informative. Figured the training program would have been too.
I can't believe this scam has been goin on for now 3 years...I was so close to purchasing also but something just did not add up and there was no "protection" provided when you got to the place where it asks for your credit card...glad I read these reviews...I was almost TAKEN! Thank you all for your reviews. HOpe mine helps someone stop and think before purchasing online goods!
I'm very glad I looked up "Nancy Richards dog training" in my search engine and found so many sites stating how this is a scam. Shame on them! Thank you to everyone who comments on this! Please do your research before purchasing anything on the internet. Our planet seems to have a thriving quantity of cons, scams, and rip-off artists. Thieves who prey on good, honest, hard-working people. Karma is a ### and she's going to hunt you down!
I am a real dog trainer who teaches American Kennel Club (AKC) Training. I tried to reach out to this so called "Dog Training Institute" and they refused to respond to me. Anyone who tells you that you can housetrain your puppy in 6 days or any other unbelievable rot is lying to you and is just trying to get your money..
Dog training, including housetraining takes time, patience, and repetition, along with lots and lots of praise, (not treats).
Hello
I kept getting email messages from them with lower fees daily. I paid a one time $67 and didn't fall for their other more expensive sales pitch. However, how can I tell if it's a scam? Should I stop my cc and cancel the so called one month free subscription!
I researched this supposed dog training site because of their initial approach. Just didn't sit well, especially when they want to suck you in with a long video. It appears that the only way to stop further charges will have to be done through your card company. Take this as a costly lesson and research everything offered on the internet. There is a growing number of scams through email and search results There is a good site address - totalscam.com They don't ask anything from you, and they work hard to uncover and make known new scams as they come up. You can also check sites through their site and resources on how to recognize and avoid scams from online to phone, and mail scams. Be careful scammers are heartless and only have one thing in mind----your money.
You just think you paid them one time fee of 67 dollars. They will continue to bill you as many times as they can get away with, and you can not get in touch with them!
I would like to cancel "trainpetdog".com. I have a bill on my card for $101.95 and another one for $37.00. Please cancel my account and do not charge anything else to my credit care. I wish I had read all the above before I signed up. My fault--old lady at 82. I have tried calling your phone numbers and they are always busy. Thanks, for a lesson well learned. I did get a printed book, tho and thank you. afwwheels@aol.com.
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR LETTING PEOPLE KNOW THIS IS A SCAM. I WAS GOING TO ORDER THE BOOK. SO GLAD I TYPED IN THE NAME OF PERSON AND THIS PAGE POP UP. THANKS AGAIN GOD BLESS THE HONEST PEOPLE.
I too am a victim of Nancy Richards. Does anyone have a phone number or web site where I could cancel my subscription? They keep charging me $37.00 a month & I can't find a way to contact them.
[protected]. good luck
Oh my goodness, I was looking to sign up, when by accident, I saw this site. Thank you all for the alert.
I felt disappointed, then frustrated, now angry. So sad, the evil in this world!
I subscribed to the mailing list which led me to the training course! I was thinking about purchasing and decided at the last second to try to go to their website it wasn’t theirs it was another animal lovers website. I tried to leave and it kept taking me back to order so then I copied and saved everything.. It’s sad that people do this..
I tried to post a photo of info but it won’t post!
I just saw this! So I bought a $67 package from pettraining.com (citing Nancy Richards) and monthly subscription. Is this legit or should I put a stop on my cc? I already received a confirmation and log in info.
correction: TrainPetDog.com
Put a stop immediately or you will regret it like me months later!
PPl I logged into Trainpetdog.com and dogtraininginstitute.com, so far they both look legit. However I am not sure what will happen to me after I get monthly charges. I'll see if it's a scam or not, If it is I'll contact my cc and put a stop.
At any rate, this contact info was on their website if you're interested:

I was duped also. All this Nancy Richards from this company did was send me free YouTube videos from k9 training institute. I reached out to them (k9ti) asking what my money was supposed to get me because their emails just want me to purchase more training videos. They have no records of my purchase and after further conversation they aren’t even affiliated with this Nancy Richards from dogtraininginstitute nor trainpetdog. So it’s basically a person taking your money to send you free YouTube videos from k9 training institute. Or they are all affiliated because it’s a scam and they are covering each other’s butts. Either way stay away
I have received 5 free emails from Nancy Richards. After reading all of the negative reviews decided not to sign up! I will keep searching and train my golden doodle on my own.
I have too and then I found plenty scam comments
I'm actually about to sign up as it looks promising based on their email plus video ads they have. It is convincing that they are actually a real pro. Until I searched for more reviews on their web and brought to my attention all the reviews i scanned below. Yes you are right after reading all the negative comments here, i don't want to take the risk and thanks i am off the bait.
I also have a goldendoodle.
You better not! It looks good. Yes, it does! However, if you read the fine print (I am assuming it must be there). They forget to mention you will have a recurring charge each month, and if you are even able to login to cancel it, that would be news to me. I signed up. I thought I had downloaded the book tailored specifically for my dog breed (our phones are listening), not only that, but then the next morning at 5am (this is how I know they are listening to everything). They knew I had to travel out of town to a doctor's appointment, where I would need to use my debit card. I stopped to get gas, and it doesn't work! I check my email, and my bank had put a fraud alert on my card for the 67 dollars because it is a scam over seas. Knowing I need gas and was going to need to use my debit card that day, I agreed that I had initiated the payment. They never told me it was recurring! So, after several charges and I can not get in touch with the company I finally had to cancel my debit card! Talk about an expensive training course that as far as I can tell doesn't even exist!
It is a scam! Believe me!
I didn't know realize I was running into their traps until teh last minutes: i was still in 1 of the 4 steps to confirm my order online, my credit card has been charged twice - $67 and $101.95. I was immediately looking all over trying to find their contact phone #, which ended up nothing. Then i found this webpage at my Google. As my last resort, I had to call my credit card company to stop the payments. They told me they had to destroy credit card and issue a new one to me. I had to agree to do so.
I agree totally👇🏿👇🏿🙈👀…WHAT A [censored] OUTFIT! I tried there cancellation email…. NO SUCH LISTING
WOULD LIKE TO KNOSW IF ANYONE GOT THEIR MONEY BACK?
I left a message ..Not that nice… of course ,.. no return call …
Upon my find of this website my girlfriend invested two payments to this Dog Training Course, First Payment of $101.95 and the Second one for $67.00 , She has got no response after SEVERAL text messages for her money back, still no response and chalking Up The Days an Weeks... BAD SCENE MY Girlfriend Works VERY VERY HARD FOR WHAT SHE HAS , THANKS ALOT YOU GUYS... Rockin Bob. (Drummer)
Don’t buy anything from this site, its a fake although it looks legit. Nancy richards may be a dog trainer but this site is definitely a scam and takes your money without giving you any dog training book or whatever it promised. One of the ways I found out was because of the photos from one of the reviewers, I thought to myself how fake this guy looked and how it looked like a stock photo, turns out it was I reverse imaged searched and 4 results of this guy came up from different sites proving this was a stock photo.
I wish that I found this blog sooner... I am also being swindled out of $168.97. After accessing the website as a member, I was dissatisfied with the content and immediately canceled my membership. I did receive a cancellation confirmation but they touted that they offered a full money-back guarantee within 30 days if not satisfied with the service. Of course, I cannot speak with an agent, and NO ONE is responding to my repeated emails or phone calls. I could kick myself for not investing in the site prior to falling for this scam.
Your promotional video implied there would be training specific to my dog's breed and multiple topics I could go to immediately. There's very little content online. Oversold and underdelivered.
I cancelled the membership and i received their reply stating that the membership has been cancelled. despite that i have been charged the mebership fee. This is an unauthorized payment. I need the full refund.
They have posted that my complaint for unauthorized charges were resolved. They have NEVER BEEN RESOLVED AND NO MONEY WAS EVER REFUNDED! Please TRULY resolve and refund all money paid for services I never received or requested! Second complaint about this company! TOTAL FRAUD!
I just got a statement from my Capital One card. They said that $67 was taken from my card. I didn't order any services or anything. Can I please talk to somebody about this?
Cancelled trial subscription and credit card charged anyway
