Travel Resorts of America review: $40 Refund

I went to the Taste Of Syracuse NY Food Festival around June 2nd of 2024 and Travel America was there promoting Bass Lake Campground. They had told me that they bought Bass lake and was trying to promote campers to use there campground by giving away a free 3 day cabin stay. Then once I like it I could camp anytime I want. Part of the deal was to come up and sit thru an orientation on showing me the campground before my stay. Travel America said that they needed a $40 deposit because people sometimes don't show up and it wastes there time. So I gave them $40 and was given an appointment for about a week later. However, when I got home I read the fine details in which when I was to get up there they weere going to try to sell me an $18,000 timeshare type ponzie scheme in which I was not interested in. It was a membership and I was was not told that initially. So, when I got home I immediatley called the 800 number and cancelled my appointment at Bass Lake and requested a refund. It never came. I called for 6 months talking to various people in charge including Kayla and she left a message for the coordinator Johanna in which I never received a response from. Kayla had stated that they are unable to reach the vendor in which scammed me out of $40.I even called Bass lake in which was no help. Please Help Me!
