I wish to make a complaint. My mother arrived thursday 27th october 2023. Check in and went to our room. Bathroom light we’re not working the room was ok.. I went to reception as I had to stay for an extra night which would be friday 28th october. We we’re staying at the hotel as my mum and I was going to a funeral. I ask the receptionist to help me with the booking for friday night they said receptionist that we were staying in the same room. I made sure that we weren’t staying in that same room. Let the hotel went to the funeral. My mum and I arrived a the hotel quiet late. When I went to the room that were we staying in there was someone in the room. Shocked. It late my mum is elderly and we are both very tired. Went to reception to find out what happened. There was no note on the system to say that they had changed the room. That’s why I made sure before I left to go to the funeral that there was no change and we were staying in the same room. It was late my mother and I was very tired. Staff went up to too where we were staying the could not find out personal luggage. They went to lost property it was not there another member off staff checked the room opposite to the room were we staying in the luggage was in there staff said they didn’t know what happened but will try to sort it out in the morning. Very disappointed. My personal belongings was all over the place. The room they put us in was very cold my mother is elderly so I wanted both of us was comfortable. Tried and stressed. Went to reception in the morning for them to explain to me what happened why did they change the room after confirming that we will be in the same room I found the staff vet rude and I asked why did they touch my personal belongings without my consent I put the medication in the place where I can find them. No one under no circumstances should touch the medication especially hotel staff. They were not helpful no apologies when I said the room was cold and my mother is elderly there was no explanation. I am very disappointed with the situation and I paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel and I am very disappointed what happened and the was the staff were very rude. Personal belongings the suite case was open and things were out of place. I would like you to look into this matter as this should not of happened. I wanted a comfortable room to stay in and that’s why I choose the hotel I have stayed at travel lodge hotel d before but this is the worse experience.
Desired outcome: I would like to receive some off my money back.and a good reason for removing my personal stuff and apologies for what hay
