Treeium Treeium: The Worst Experience Ever

October 04, 2023 *** Update ***

After 24 months of waiting to have my project started, Moty Ginsburg lied to me about providing “next day's installation” following the week of July 17th.

I then entered a contract to refund my payments – this was like pulling teeth – but they finally agreed (I’m not getting a FULL refund).

THEY ARE NOW IN BREACH OF CONTRACT as they have missed the payment deadline for the FIRST payment and refuse to communicate.

The “main” people at Treeium are:

- Elizabeth Camarena

- Dean Ginsburg

- Moty Ginsburg

- Frances Mayorga

“Rhea” is the receptionist who will NEVER get you in contact with anyone; she will only email Moty.

! DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !

When the going gets rough, they will stop all communication with you and most likely, you will lose money.

Treeium collected $12,740.00 from me and is NOT ADHEARING to their contractual obligation.

The attached photo is my refund agreement (my phone & address redacted).

Recommendation: !!! DO NOT GO INTO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY !!!

Treeium The Worst Experience Ever

August 3, 2021

I Signed a contract on to install (2) Tesla Powerwall units. Paid a total of $9,767.20 prior to receiving product and installation.

I have NEVER received proactive communication from Treeium regarding the status of my project.

The constant response I received when regularly contacting them, was they were waiting for deliveries from Tesla.

June 23, 2023 (22 months after contract signature)

Moty Ginsburg (the owner of Treeium) sent me the following email: “Per our conversation, we will be getting a Tesla shipment the week of the 17th of July. As soon as we have delivery, we will schedule the next day's installation for you.” This did not happen, nor did he contact me at ANY point after the missed date.

August 17, 2023 (8 weeks later)

I gave them 2 weeks to complete, or I would cancel the project (they NEVER responded).

September 1, 2023

I called and cancelled the project, stating that I would like a full refund. Frances Mayorga (from Treeium) contacted me, stating I would receive a full refund.

September 12, 2023

NO REFUND. I may need to hire a lawyer. Buyer BEWARE of this company.

I have been VERY nice and accommodating. Treeium has been TERRIBLE.

This company is the worst experience I have ever had.

Treeium We recently remodeled our master bathroom

We recently remodeled our master bathroom. We gutted the entire space and put in both a half bath and a full master. We could not have been more pleased with Treeium, the contractor we worked with on this project. We recommend them highly, and plan to have them return to do our kitchen! Contract Treeium for all your remodeling needs. Ask for Dorel or Lior.

Three months ago we finished our project with Treeium, successfully. Farid & Gabriel played a fundamental role during the entire process, which included dealing with architects, engineers, city codes and builders. They both were very accommodating, patient and extremely professional. Our project was a major home remodel (90%). It took less than five months from the moment the plans were approved to completion. We hired Treeium to ensure our home was built structurally safe & sound, and that's what they delivered. Have already recommended them to several people.

I just want to start by saying that Treeium is the parent company and/or is somehow affiliated now with the company that I originally did a deal with, called Sol Reliable. In fact, when I wrote a review (at the request of the contractor with Sol Reliable) he wanted it to be with Treeium so that's who I referenced. It is all explained below.

Sol Reliable and Nir Maimon (owner and sales rep) intentionally misled us with false promises of solar production and subsequent savings, in order to get our contract. I gave Nir the benefit of the doubt when believing that it was an honest mistake, or accurate assessment. However, after thorough review and much dialogue, it became evident that he knew exactly what he was doing, yet was willing to say anything in order to close the deal.

Nir prides himself on his experience and expertise in the industry, and sold us on how modern technology (satellites and shading analysis) provides incredible transparency on solar production. Boy was he wrong. It turns out that the two trees in our front yard (the only two trees) provide a certain amount of shading, which prevents full solar access to the panels. My wife and I were upfront with Nir about not wanting to cut down trees to do this (seemed a bit hypocritical in fact when the idea is to help protect the environment, not to mention we like having shade in our front yard and the trees are beautiful) so he knew this and assured us that we wouldn't have to remove any trees. The bottom line is he lied to us, and I have proof and witnesses who will attest to the fact that Nir knew that we weren't good solar candidates with the trees there. But his way of dealing with this was telling us (a week after our initial shading analysis with misleading projections) that a tree trim, at our expense of course, would be all it takes to achieve the results he guaranteed.

Needless to say, I wasted $2500 (roughly 2 years savings from solar production) on the tree trim, which in fact took 7 months and still didn't work, allow me to explain. The arborist said he would risk killing the tree if he cut too much, so he'd need to come back in the winter (December) to finish the job. Instead of returning in December like we thought, he didn't return until February and it was only because of my relentless pursuit, that Nir finally got him to return. Apparently Nir hadn't paid him fully in the first place (Nir has a reputation of taking a long time to pay, in some cases stiffing altogether) so the arborist wasn't in a rush to come back. Furthermore, and this is the really snaky salesman type of person Nir is, he made us sign an adjusted production guarantee after he told us that we would in fact need a tree trim. Let me clarify: his pitch was based on rock solid projections because of modern tech which showed exactly how much sunlight and in turn solar production we'd get, combined with his 15+ years in the industry. He explained how our savings would subsidize the costs, but then a week after we signed the initial contract he mentions a tree trim, and until such time that the trim was completed, we'd have an adjusted production guarantee - meaning less sunlight/production/savings, but not to worry, as soon as the trim was done we'd be golden. So, back to taking 7+ months before the actual tree trim was done, you can see the source of my frustration. We spent a lot of money on something that we were getting about 60% of, without any credit or adjustment to compensate for that.

All the while I was bothering Nir with this, he kept assuring me everything would be fine once the trim was done, and to just be patient because the numbers will speak for themselves. Easy for him to say being patient wasn't costing him money (just shut me up for awhile), but I was paying the price. It was only because Nir posed as a nice guy who cared about doing the right thing, that I went along with his story. He knew I wasn't going away either, so he strung me along in order to prevent any legal action. Now, when we did finally finish the tree trim, I made sure that the initial production guarantee was back in effect, which seemed obvious, but Nir did not make that easy. We then had drawn out discussions (arguments) about what the guarantee should be for the first year given all that had transpired, and finally reached a compromise. I did all this so that when the first year was up there wouldn't be any confusion about what should happen. Nir's whole pitch is having a production guarantee where anything short of what was promised he will make whole at the end of the year. Seems fair, but only if he makes good.

After the first year was up, it took incessant begging, pleading, demanding, and even threatening, to not only get Nir to recognize what was a very straightforward adjusted production number that we'd agreed to months before in writing, but it took him 3 MONTHS to send the check! Moreover, this check was for $600, and after dozens of interactions. Here is the best part - he wanted to me to sign an agreement stating that I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE GOING FORWARD FOR MAINTAINING THE TREE TRIM, essentially that there would no longer be a production guarantee! So after year one of a 20 year deal, he essentially wanted to eliminate the GUARANTEE that was to be in place for the duration of the contract. Of course I didn't sign, and this was when I realized the kind of person I was dealing with, and had pretty much lost all trust. From then on it was clear that I would need to take legal action unless Nir correct this trajectory he'd set us on. I had been more than patient to this point, having waited well over a year at his request to see what the production looked like. Not only did we see how bad it was, but his actions (or lack thereof) finally showed his true colors.

Nir finally acknowledged that there was a bigger issue, a tree trim didn't/wouldn't do the trick, and the trees (at least the one located directly in front of the center of the house), would need to in fact be removed in order to achieve the results he promised, which is something he should have known from day one. In fact I have strong reasons/evidence to believe that he did know this, but chose to ignore it in order to get the contract. I had to essentially threaten him with going to the licensing board (Nir has a history here, even had his license suspended) in order to get him to finally engage in settlement discussions. Well these discussions went on for several months before I realized I was getting nowhere with him. Once again he was stringing me along and nothing is happening - but I wasn't going to be fooled again. So I finally began speaking with the folks at Treeium, who somehow merged with/acquired Sol Reliable (I don't quite know the mechanics of their relationship, but Nir began working with/for them at some point in the first year of our contract) and they would help facilitate a settlement. Unfortunately they too were not able to help us reach a deal, so I need to hold them accountable too because clearly they endorse Nir's behavior and are affiliated with him, and for all I know the contract also falls under their purview.

One thing I want to point out, because I know Nir will reference this, is that he gave us 10 free solar panels at one point to compensate for the lack of production. At the time I was very appreciative and in fact at Nir's request (unsurprisingly) I wrote a nice review on yelp. However it was still an honest review where I said it was too early to say how things would ultimately play out, but Nir wanted me to write a review after finally doing something so I did. Here's the thing; the system had COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN FOR OVER A MONTH, and it was only because I brought it that they realized there was a problem (not exactly comforting that there is no safeguard for this). So a) I was the one to bring up the fact that something was wrong with the system (to which he said it's probably nothing at first and perhaps a problem with the app), and b) it was shut down for over a month, so add that lack of production to an already dismal year. This happened about 6 weeks after the arborist finished the tree trim by the way, so we couldn't even enjoy solid production for long - murphy's law anyone? So before anyone falls for what will be a feeble attempt by Nir to play the hero, the 10 free panels were the least he could do, and honestly not even something we wanted. In fact at the time I said to Nir (and I have all of this in writing along with boatloads of evidence to substantiate everything) that I didn't want more panels. It's basically throwing good money after bad. On the contrary I asked Nir if we could just cancel the entire solar system - it wasn't working and we should cut our losses. I was willing to take a hit, but wanted to unwind a bad contract because it wasn't working and clearly was never going to get on track. Of course Nir was having none of that, and insisted that getting 10 free panels was going to be great for us. Obviously it didn't cost him any cash either, he had these panels sitting in a warehouse. Keep in mind, at this time he could have have been honest about the trees, whether he'll admit knowing it or not, he SHOULD HAVE known given his experience and the shading analysis, that the trees were always going to be a problem. So what's his answer? Add more panels, literally underneath the shade of the trees. Yep, that's the person we're dealing with here. I would have gladly either taken a financial compensation as a credit, or if he'd recommended tree removal being necessary at the time perhaps we would've considered it, but honesty is what was necessary there, not more denial and more panels, which is what Nir pushed.

So, the main point is he's no hero for giving more panels, and in fact it demonstrates a severe lack of expertise and honesty. I've written a lot here, but honestly could go on for days. My frustration existed for 2 + years now, and I have hundreds of emails, texts, and images to support them. The last thing I ever wanted to do is take legal action, but I finally filed a small claims case (just before the pandemic) that keeps getting pushed back due to Covid. Because of Covid I've gone back to the table several times to try and reach a settlement, but Nir just isn't willing. Go figure, time passes it doesn't cost him money, that's his M.O. As a result I've had to take any and all action possible to ensure justice for myself and my family, as well as prevent this from happening to others.

Treeium Our project has been completed and our family will begin enjoying our new 700sq foot addition and driveway upgrade

Our project has been completed and our family will begin enjoying our new 700sq foot addition and driveway upgrade. Treeium was professional and accommodating from financing assistance to unforeseen adjustments. Our Rep Sam made himself available and addressed concerns timely within expected time frames. We look forward to working with Treeium on future remodeling. The new driveway is great and resolved a huge flooding problem we had been dealing with for years. Thanks Treeium.

After researching multiple contractors and having to put the job off for over a year I ended up going with Treeium, which was the first company I met with when we decided to research this job. Beatrice was our job manager from the beginning and she installed confidence in Treeium's ability to the job from the initial consultation. Many of the contractors saw our space and spent 5 minutes on site and simply through out a quote without spending any time discussing the project or recommending ideas. With Beatrice, she spend about 40 minutes on that first consultation taking measurements, discussing the project and making recommendations.

During the course of construction the workers who were on site were extremely professional and were on the job site early each morning and insured the job site was clean when they left each day. The workers were very diligent with their work and you can tell they took pride in their task. In the grand scheme of things, our job was a relatively small job, but every person on the job treated it as if they were doing work on their own home.

Beatrice was great through the entire process. She insured we were aware of who was going to be onsite each day, and let us know immediately if there were any changes to the schedule. She was very upfront with pricing and let us know very timely any cost additions that were required to the job. The good news is that all cost increases, were the result of change orders processed by us, not by the contractor. The cost of the initial job was right in line with what Beatrice quoted us, with no cost surprises.

Beatrice and the entire Treeium team has been great to work with, and we would hire them again for future jobs.

We recently had a four season sunroom addition built at our house. Our project was managed by Medhi Heshmati and Amir Teymouri, and we couldn't have asked for more professional and communicative project managers. From the start, they were with us, helping us plan out our sunroom to our budget, and explaining all the steps and processes involved. They let us know the approximate timeline for start of construction, and what would be involved, and provided suggestions on best practices that would result in a highest end quality for our budget. The build team was professional and always courteous, and were very receptive and responsive to any questions and issues we had. From start to finish, the project was streamlined, and on target, and we are very satisfied with the end result. I will definitely be calling up Mehdi and Amir for future remodels, and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Treeium I used Treeium this year to do some exterior work on my patio

I used Treeium this year to do some exterior work on my patio. We had some obstacles to work around with HOA approvals, weather, high surf and tides. They were very flexible and dependable. The work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up every day when they were through. The workers were proficient and courteous. The scope of work is listed in detail on the contract and the few change orders that occurred were reasonable and added to the contract in detail. No surprises. My project managers Farid and Amir were great to work with. They were accommodating to my schedule; they were prompt and thorough.
I recommend Treeium.

Thank you Farid and Amir,

Sincerely,

John

Treeium Continuing our renovations on our property, we are remodeling the cottage on the property with Treeium because we are so happy with the remodel

Continuing our renovations on our property, we are remodeling the cottage on the property with Treeium because we are so happy with the remodel of the main house. The cottage was in such bad shape, we thought we would have to tear it down and start new. Treeium, Lior the project manager said they could remodel for a very reasonable price (or at least we thought it was resonable.) Now we are in the process of a new roof, new windows, new doors, new insulation, etc. and that's the outside of the house. Inside there is going to be a larger bathroom, bedroom, utility room and new kitchen with the back porch enclosed and will be used as a family/guest entertainment area. We are anxious to watch this run down cottage changed into a beautiful cottage that will mirror the lovely remodeled home we now are enjoying because of the changes and improvements of that Treeium made possible.

Treeium My wife and I are retired and decided to invest in our home of 35 years in Irvine by upgrading all three bathrooms

My wife and I are retired and decided to invest in our home of 35 years in Irvine by upgrading all three bathrooms. We had remodeled them only once before and did not have much money at the time and we were determined to get it right this time. We decided against hiring an interior designer so we interviewed contractors that were larger firms with good resources like a Project Manager that would come onsite weekly and see the project thru from beginning to end. We knew we would pay a little more for that level of service. We decided on Treeium after meeting a few times with our Project Manager Amir Teymouri. Amir made us really comfortable with the depth of his remodel knowledge, gave us very credible design idea's and excelled at both his verbal and written communications. That combined with Treeium's size ($100M in annual sales), discounts with major suppliers of bath fixtures and tile Were ket you decision along with the excellent ratings on Yelp, Houzz etc. So, we signed a contract for all 3 bathrooms with Amir. Amir did exactly as he said he would by monitoring his crews work, visiting our home several times a week to check on progress, ask us about how we liked the work and communicating to us clearly as to schedule and what materials or decisions were needed (and when) from us. Amir has terrific contacts with key suppliers like bathroom fixtures, tile stores, shower enclosures etc... and those relationships really helped when issues would present themselves. For example, our supplier for the master bath sold us the wrong rough-in valve (which was already installed and tiled over) for the filler tube for our soaker tub. Amir handled all the conversations with the supplier and presented us with 3 different alternative replacements for the tube filler that would fit the already installed rough-in valve.
Treeium is a very good company but as always its the people that make the difference. In my opinion Amir is a very good Project Manager and has a very good team supporting him. I would highly recommend Treeium and especially Amir Teymouri for your home remodel needs. Bottom line, could not be happier with the final competition of all 3 bathrooms! I was so satisfied mid-way with through the project I signed another contract to have Treeium paint the exterior of my house and they did a terrific job on that as well.

Go figure, time passes *** it doesn't cost him money, that's his M.O. As a result I've had to take any and all action possible to ensure justice for myself and my family, as well as prevent this from happening to others.
