Tribeca At Camp Springs Terrible company

I am a single mother with three children my dad was dying of cancer and left me some money and told me to go purchase a place for me and his grandchildren. After my dad past last August from cancer, I took the money on September 16, 2006 I went to Tribeca condos in camp springs md. I spoke with a gentleman who told me about the properties and told me all I had to do was leave a deposit and if I didn't get approved I would receive the money back. There was a loan officer available from chase finance of greenbelt. That gentleman pulled my credit and told me he did see any reason why he couldn't get me the loan. I sign the papers and went on my way. About three weeks later I decided to tell me family what I had done I was so excited.

I showed my aunt the paper work and from her knowing a little on the real estate industry she let me know right away that there were several important documents missing that I should have received from the loan office. She told me to go there to tribeca and ask for the documents. I did so and started to realize that I was getting the cold shoulder no return calls etc. The next phase was the company that was selling the condos for the builder was fired the Bryan company. This really left me with no hope. I didn't know anyone that was in the tribeca office now and no one seemed to care about me or my situation. The next thing I started to do was call the loan companies that they sent me to. Chase finance and First Horizons no answer or return calls. Then tribeca notified me that they were no longer working with those loan companies and I needed to go to Bank of america. I went to bank of America and was denied for the condo price and he also advised me that he didn't know why any one took my money in the first place because of my credit score and income at the time. He told me go bake to tribeca I did and nothing happen.

I complained and called any and everyone who would listen, but no one would. Finally I threatened to pick it outside there office and the didn't care I asked why would they take a single mom with kids money from her with no regard knowing that they did not do the proper procedures and give me the proper documentation as well as information needed. They had no answer they were nasty told me that they were going to sue me for 10, 000 more dollars if I didn't move into the unit. I paid a lawyer to type a letter inquiring about my money.

They responded saying that I forfeited my deposit by not getting qualified in 15 days which is in the contract. I have called county elect jack johnsons office and channel five news as well as you. The loan officer finally mailed me a denial letter but tribeca said it was to late for that. Now I can not move anywhere because they took my money from me my children because I didn't know everything that I was suppose to have to purchase a home.

I currently live in the Tribeca as a renter and they have horrible customer service and the building was put together to fast. Everything is breaking and the gaage leaks one of the buildings alarms don't work at all. We had a gas leak and I informed them 3 days before they actually took any actions and it was at 10pm at night and everyone evacuated with there kids just ridiculous. Be happy that you didn't move here but good luck on getting your money back. I am sure that some owners are very unhappy I know of one for sure their place was flooded and the entire unit not livable. I suggest that you go to the Better Business Bureau on them and se if you can get some assistance. I wish you and your children the best of luck. To Dewayn how is she a dumb ### when she didn't know. Maybe you should look at yourself in the mirror because you sound like one with that statement.

@dewayn harley -- you are a [censored]! As to the single mother, there are ways to get your money back. When you are not financed, the company has to give your money back (with or without a real estate agent). Anyway, I dealt with this company from the very beginning and luckily I backed out of my contract because the first company was selling identical condos for various prices, and they did not have published price lists for each condo. Once the other company took over, I was contacted and threatened as well because they claimed that the prior company did not leave a copy of my declination form. The new company did, however, tried to cash my deposit check. Thank God I kept no money in the account, because I could tell that I would have a difficult time getting my money back. I don't know why you were unable to find someone to help you get your money back, but I guess you know now that Jack Johnson's office wasn't interested in helping you since they were taking money from developers. Your option was to go to court to get your money back. You should file a claim in court and let the judge decide! Good luck, sister! And Mr. Harley, sometimes bad things happen to good people, which that does not make them dumb ###! You jerk!
