Avoid truFit Gym Memberships: Terrible Contract Terms and Billing Provider
truFit is not a good choice for anyone looking for a gym membership. I made the mistake of signing up and regret it every day. The worst part is that even after my commitment period was over, I still couldn't get out of my contract. It's like they don't want you to leave!
Another thing that really bothers me about truFit is their billing provider. It's a third party company and they are just terrible. I've had so many issues with them and it's just not worth the hassle.
Overall, I would not recommend truFit to anyone. There are plenty of other gyms out there that are much better and won't trap you in a never-ending contract. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
TruFit Review: Shady Business Practices and Poor Customer Service
TruFit is a company that I had the misfortune of dealing with recently. They got a hold of my billing information when I bought a Golds Gym membership, but they never bothered to let me know. When I tried to cancel my membership, they gave me the runaround and tried to bill me a couple of extra times before even starting the cancellation process.
It's really frustrating when companies don't communicate properly with their customers. I mean, how hard is it to send an email or a letter letting people know that their billing information has been acquired? And when it comes to cancelling a membership, it should be a straightforward process. But with TruFit, it's like they don't want you to leave.
I've had to deal with their customer service team multiple times, and it's always a hassle. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. They just want to make money, even if it means charging people for services they don't want or need.
Overall, I would not recommend TruFit to anyone. They're shady and untrustworthy, and they don't care about their customers. If you're looking for a gym membership, go somewhere else. There are plenty of other options out there that are much better than TruFit.
TruFit Health Review: Overpriced, Poor Quality, and Terrible Customer Service
TruFit is a product that I recently purchased from trufithealth.net. I was hoping to get a good deal on some exercise equipment, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with my purchase. The product seemed like a cheap Chinese knock-off of Bowflex equipment, and it was overpriced for what it was. It took a whopping 6 weeks to arrive, which was frustrating.
When the product finally arrived, I was shocked to find that it reeked of gasoline. I immediately contacted customer service, hoping to get a refund or exchange, but I was met with horrible and sleazy customer service. It was clear that they were just trying to dump their cheap goods on unsuspecting customers like myself.
Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience with TruFit. I would not recommend this product to anyone, and I would caution others to be wary of purchasing from trufithealth.net. The lack of refunds and poor customer service only added to my frustration.
Unreliable and Slow: My Experience with TruFit's Website and Shipping
I gotta say, TruFit's website is a real doozy. It's slow as molasses and doesn't give you much info about what you're buying. I ordered some dumbbells from them and it's taking forever to get here. I swear, it feels like my order is being shipped by rowboat from China or something.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend ordering from TruFit. There are plenty of other places to get your fitness gear, like Target or Walmart. Or, if you're like me and prefer to shop online, there are tons of other sites out there that are way more reliable.
I guess I should have done my research before placing my order. But hey, you live and you learn, right? Just take my advice and steer clear of TruFit.
TruFit Review: A Total Scam - Don't Waste Your Time and Money!
TruFit is a health and fitness website that I recently had the displeasure of dealing with. I must say, if I could give them a 0 or minus star, I would. It was a total scam! The agent I spoke with didn't specify that I wouldn't be able to cancel the contract just because. I was shocked to learn that the member would have to meet the requirements to cancel the contract! So ridiculous! I mean, I'm too busy working and cannot go to the gym, but I cannot cancel my membership because that reason doesn't meet their criteria. It's my money, but I'm forced to pay for the service that I cannot use. What a rip-off!
I relocated and went to cancel my membership. I emailed them my new work contract to prove that I moved somewhere else. My membership hasn't been canceled yet after 2 months. They still charge me every month. And when I call them, they say they lost my cancellation form and now I have to send them everything again. Can you believe it? I mean, how unprofessional can they be? It's like they don't care about their customers at all.
Overall, I would not recommend TruFit to anyone. They are a complete waste of time and money. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy health and fitness website, look elsewhere. Don't waste your time with TruFit. They are a total scam!
Low Quality and Poor Customer Service: A Review of [Product Name]
This product is not up to par. It seems like a cheap knock-off from overseas. The dumbbells are difficult to adjust and they stop working shortly after arriving. You can try to fix them by watching a YouTube video, but eventually they just stop working altogether. The company will send you a video or PDF that was created overseas and not in English, which makes it difficult to understand. If the product is still not working, the company will insist that you have damaged it and not followed the directions properly. They try to put the blame back on the customer. They will not send out replacements under any circumstances. It's a shame because the price is high, but the quality is low. I rarely give feedback, but this is a terrible product. I suggest going with Bowflex instead.
TruFit Review: Low-Quality Equipment and Strict Return Policy
I gotta say, I wasn't too impressed with TruFit and their products. Sure, they offer some pretty sweet deals on equipment that would normally cost an arm and a leg, but the quality of the equipment is pretty low. I decided to take a chance and buy their select tech dumbbells, but boy was that a mistake. They feel like they're made out of plastic and they arrived missing a plate, so they only weigh 37lbs instead of the advertised 52.5lbs. And don't even get me started on how they get stuck every time I try to adjust them. It's a real drag to work with them and they don't go back on their rack smoothly. I have to wiggle them around just to get them to go back flush.
Now, I will say that their customer service is pretty responsive if you message them. But they come off as short and moody, which isn't exactly the best customer service experience. My biggest issue with TruFit is that most of their products are always on "sale" and their return policy states that you can't return products that are on sale. That's a real bummer, because it means you're stuck with a product that you might not even like.
Overall, I'd say it's best to avoid TruFit if you can. While they might offer some good deals, the quality of their products just isn't up to par. And with their strict return policy, you might end up regretting your purchase.
Unacceptable Behavior by TruFit: Threatened with Legal Action Over Small Amount of Money
I recently had a very unpleasant experience with TruFit, a health and fitness company that I had signed up with for a $300 membership. I received a call from a man named Mr. Cantu, who claimed to work for Edward's & Cain Asset Recovery. He was very aggressive and threatening, telling me that I was being taken to court for non-payment of my TruFit membership and that I needed to hire a lawyer to represent me in court. He even went so far as to say that the call was being recorded before abruptly hanging up.
I was shocked and confused by this call. I had never received any payment options or reminders from TruFit about my membership, and I certainly didn't expect to be threatened with legal action over such a small amount of money. With the pandemic still raging on, it seemed ridiculous to me that anyone would hire a lawyer for such a small amount of money.
I decided to call TruFit to try and sort out the situation. However, they were unable to help me. They told me that they had sold my account to Edward's & Cain Asset Recovery and that they were no longer in control of it. This was very frustrating for me, as I felt like I was being passed around from one company to another without any real resolution.
It's possible that TruFit received some government loans or assistance during the pandemic, which makes it even more frustrating that they would sell my account to a collection agency like Edward's & Cain. It seems like they are more interested in harassing consumers than in helping them during these difficult times.
Overall, I would not recommend TruFit to anyone. Their lack of communication and willingness to sell accounts to aggressive collection agencies like Edward's & Cain is unacceptable. If you're looking for a health and fitness company that truly cares about its customers, I suggest looking elsewhere.
TruFit Adjustable Dumbbells Review: Overwhelming Gasoline Smell & Broken Links on Website
So, I recently got my hands on the adjustable dumbbells from TruFit and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. Now, they did mention that it might take a while for the product to arrive, but that's not the only issue with this company and its website.
Let's start with the product itself. It's not the easiest thing to adjust and the smell of gasoline is just overwhelming. When I reached out to the company, they said it's just a part of the manufacturing process and that it should go away after a while. But come on, it's not like I'm buying gasoline. Even after leaving it outside for three days, the smell was still there. And to top it off, the product that arrived looked different from the photos on their website. The circles on the ends were black instead of red, and the parts that the weights attach to were also black instead of red.
Now, let's talk about the website and the company. I have a feeling that this company was formed just to take advantage of the pandemic since so many people are trying to exercise at home. But the website is a complete mess. There are broken links everywhere. Youtube? Nope. Pinterest? Nope. Instagram? Yes, but the link in their bio takes you to shop.com instead of their own website. And don't even get me started on Facebook. The link to their website has a different domain that's up for sale at a whopping 98,888 USD.
There's no "about us" page, and the terms of service indicate that the website is operated by "Sdtru." There's no warranty, and the manual/instructions don't even mention the company or brand. And to make matters worse, the most important section has multiple errors. I mean, just take a look at the photos.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this website or company to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your exercise equipment.
Beware of TruFit Health and Shane Dowd: A Scam Review
TruFit, a company owned by Shane Dowd, is based in Southwick, Massachusetts. I had a terrible experience with this company and filed a complaint with the Massachusetts State Attorney General, which was forwarded to the Mayors Office of Consumer Information in Springfield, MA. The complaint is on file, and I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The company now has a B- grade. I also filed a complaint with my credit card company and was able to get my money back.
I thought I was purchasing the Bowflex 552 adjustable dumbbell on August 4, 2020. However, when I received the product on September 10, 2020, it was not usable. The pins that hold the brackets on the plates to the barbell were not pinned correctly, which could result in severe injury. The dumbbells also smelled of gas and still do six months later. I attempted to communicate with Trufit Health several times to get my money back and inform them of my desire to return the dumbbells due to false advertising and issues with craftsmanship. However, Trufit Health refused and said the cost of shipping outweighed the value of the dumbbells.
TruFit's website is very misleading and makes you believe you are getting the real Bowflex 552 Adjustable Dumbbell. However, Shane Dowd is actually selling counterfeit-style Bowflex adjustable dumbbells from China. He uses stock photos from the Bowflex site and sells them above list price for $369.99, but draws you in with free shipping.
This issue was resolved with my bank and the BBB in November. However, Shane Dowd recently sent me an email on January 23, 2021, claiming that I committed fraud and demanding that I remit payment. Clearly, that's not happening. I highly recommend that if you have done business with Trufit and Shane Dowd, you contact your bank and the other folks I mentioned in my review. Do yourself a favor and stay far... far... far away from Shane Dowd and Trufit Health. It's important to note that this guy is also now running a website called "suspensionstrapsurplus.com," and it's also a scam.

Billing
I cancelled my membership back in march before the system was updated, and still got charged for April and continue to keep getting charged month after month of cancelling. I have tried multiple attempts to resolve this issue without any luck. I need itemized receipts for payments made to trufit starting from the month of January for reimbursement reasons.

Before going to college I was I trusted in the personal training. On my contract it said I can cancel within three days and I did. But they still charged me so I’ve been calling the manager and personal trainer manager but somehow they are always on break. I called once and they said he just went on break and they’ll be back at 2. I called at 2 and they...
