TrustATrader: The Ultimate Resource for Honest Reviews and Reliable Companies
TrustATrader is simply amazing! As a single mother who works full-time, I don't have money to waste. I recently spent ?3500 on some work that needed to be done on my house. I chose a company that I had never heard of before, and boy was that a mistake! The cowboys I hired did a terrible job, and I was left with a mess on my hands.
That's when I discovered TrustATrader. They recommend companies based on the reviews that are written about them. It's clear that they don't want to have any rubbish companies on their books, which is great for customers like me. I found a fantastic local company through TrustATrader who came and did an amazing job of re-building the work that had been done before. They went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect.
What's great about TrustATrader is that the prices can be just as cheap or even cheaper than other quotes I received. Plus, the reviews on the site are written by real customers, so you know you're getting an honest opinion. It's so helpful to be able to read about other people's experiences with a company before you hire them.
Overall, I would highly recommend TrustATrader to anyone who needs work done on their home. It's a fantastic resource that has saved me time, money, and a lot of stress.
TrustATrader Failed Me: Unreliable Vetting Process and Poor Customer Service
I recently hired a painter from TrustATrader to decorate my home. Unfortunately, the decorator I hired did a terrible job. He didn't prep any of the woodwork and ended up spraying paint all over my expensive door, which cost me ?3000. To make matters worse, he didn't even bother to cover it up. I paid him ?1000, but he ended up walking off the job before it was finished. I had to hire another person to fix everything and redo the entire job.
When I contacted TrustATrader to complain about the situation, they were not interested in helping me. Apparently, the decorator had taken himself off the site after our job, so there was nothing they could do. All they offered to do was send me a copy of their vetting process. I was extremely disappointed with their response, and I would advise anyone to avoid using TrustATrader at all costs.
In my opinion, their vetting process is not reliable, and they let anyone in, even the cowboys. As my builder told me, if you're a good enough tradesman, you won't need to pay for a membership to TrustATrader. You'll get enough work through recommendations and word of mouth. So, my advice is to steer clear of TrustATrader and find a more reliable way to find a tradesman.
TrustATrader Review: Beware of Cowboys and Shoddy Workmanship
Me and the missus, we found a bloke on trustatrader to sort out our utility room and bog. Can't say it was a smooth ride, though. Been almost a year now and we still can't get hold of them cowboys who run trustatrader. Don't wanna bore ya with all the details, but let's just say the builder we used wasn't exactly a full-time builder (only found that out later, mind you). He said he fixed the pipes, but turns out he didn't. When we got a proper pro in, we found boiling water under our tiles that had spread all over the place. Had to pay twice to get someone else in to rip it all out again. And let me tell ya, all the jobs he did were a bloody disgrace. Found out later that the builder was actually bankrupt when he started the job (CGM Building services - Chris Moore). So why the hell did trust a trader have him on their books, eh? Oh, I know why. Another way to make a quick buck. My advice? Stay well clear of these lot. Don't use 'em or you'll end up losing your money and ruining your house.
Disappointing Experience with Trust A Trader: Unreliable Vetting and Poor Mediation Process
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Trust A Trader. I mean, what's their deal with vetting their traders? We recently hired this guy John Blackburn from New Garden Landscaping and he turned out to be a total cowboy. He left our garden unfinished, dumped all his waste on our property, and now he's trying to say we owe him money! We tried to get Trust A Trader to help us out with their "mediation" process, but they haven't done a damn thing. We gave them all sorts of evidence - bank transactions, photos and videos of the shoddy work, text messages - but they didn't even bother to look at it.
And get this - they even flagged our Trust Pilot reviews so they wouldn't show up! And when we tried to post a bad review of the trader on their site, they refused to put it up for weeks while they "investigated". It's like they'll do anything to avoid bad reviews. And don't even get me started on their customer service team. Julie Rutherford, I'm looking at you. You're terrible.
Honestly, I'd say stay away from this company. They're not worth the hassle.
Approach TrustATrader with Caution: Our Experience with a Deceptive Company
We recently hired a company listed on TrustATrader and unfortunately, our experience was not a pleasant one. At first, they seemed friendly and professional, and the job they did was satisfactory. However, we soon realized that they were using sneaky tactics to try and squeeze as much money out of us as possible. It was disappointing to see their true colors after we had trusted them.
I'm sure there are other customers who have fallen for their tricks and given them glowing five-star ratings. It's important to be aware of this and not be fooled by appearances. TrustATrader's complaint system, which allows companies 14 days to respond, means that negative reviews often get buried under positive ones. This can make it difficult to get an accurate picture of a company's reputation.
If a dishonest trader is skilled at deception, they can still come across as trustworthy on the site. That's why it's important to compare prices and get personal recommendations before making a decision. Don't be tempted to buy on the doorstep or pay upfront, as this can leave you vulnerable to scams.
Overall, while TrustATrader can be a useful resource, it's important to approach it with caution and do your own research before hiring a company. Don't rely solely on the reviews on the site, as they may not always be a true reflection of a company's quality and reliability.
Trust-A-Trader: A Paid Business Directory with Clever Marketing
So, I heard about Trust-A-Trader on the radio and thought I'd give them a try. I needed someone to do my driveway and found a company with great reviews and lots of accreditations. But boy, was I disappointed!
The work they did was shoddy, and when I tried to call them to complain, they never answered. And then, halfway through the job, they tried to charge me double the original price! I was so angry and frustrated.
I started to wonder if Trust-A-Trader was a scam. So, I decided to check out some of the other listings in my trade. And what did I find? All the well-known cowboy companies were listed there! I couldn't believe it.
I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with Trust-A-Trader. I did some web searches and found hundreds of other people who had the same problem. And when I tried to post a detailed negative review about the trader, Trust-A-Trader never posted it. It's just a paid business directory with clever marketing.
I guess they're just there to make money. And the only way they can do that is by maintaining the image of their paying advertisers. Sure, some of the companies on there might be genuine. But from what I've seen of the companies listed in my own trade, I wouldn't touch any of them with a barge pole!
TrustATrader: A Scam Site That Protects Bad Traders and Ignores Negative Reviews
I gotta say, I tried using TrustATrader to find a local decorator and boy was I disappointed. I mean, all the reviews were positive, so I thought I was in good hands. But when the trader showed up for a quote, he was late! Can you believe it? I mean, time is money, right? And I don't have all day to wait around for someone who can't keep their word.
So, I left a negative review, which I thought was fair given the circumstances. But guess what? TrustATrader removed my review! Can you believe it? And then this lady started calling me every day, asking me to update my review. Like, leave me alone, lady! I have better things to do than deal with your nonsense.
Honestly, I think this site is a scam. The traders pay money to protect their reputation, even if they're terrible at their job. And TrustATrader treats regular people like we're idiots. It's not fair, and it's not right. They should be shut down or reported to the trading ombudsman. They don't want to recognize negative reviews, and that's just not cool.
Overall, I had a really bad experience with TrustATrader. And I don't want anyone else to go through what I did. So, my advice? Avoid this site like the plague. Look in the yellow pages, get three quotes from different trades, and you'll have much better luck. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.
TrustATrader Review: Terrible Mediation Service and Unreliable Traders - Don't Waste Your Time or Money
I gotta say, TrustATrader is just plain terrible. Let me tell you a little story. So, we found this builder on their site and he seemed like a good choice. But then, he just up and left the job, claiming he was too sick to continue. And get this, he took ?20k of our hard-earned money with him! We even got a report from a quantity surveyor that confirmed the amount. But when we tried to get TrustATrader to do something about it, they just shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. To make matters worse, this guy is still on their site and is even a "featured trader." Can you believe it?
Their so-called mediation service is a complete joke. We sent them a 50-page report detailing everything that had happened, but all they did was send it to the builder and then tell us he disagreed. That was it. End of story. We even told them that this guy had done the same thing to another couple, but they didn't seem to care. And get this, we found human poop in our garden after they had been working! And they lost our door key and didn't even tell us for almost a month. It's like they just don't give a damn about the customers.
Honestly, I think the traders are their real customers, not us. They just want to keep them happy so they can collect their fees. And get this, they won't even let you leave a bad review until you've gone through their stupid mediation service. I bet a lot of people just give up and don't bother. It's all rigged to keep the traders on there, no matter how bad they are.
So, if you're thinking about using TrustATrader, my advice is don't. Save yourself the hassle and find someone else. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
Trust a Trader Review: Do Not Use This Website for Finding Tradespeople
I recently used Trust a Trader to find a plumber to fit a new shower and pump. At first, everything seemed to be going well. The plumber arrived on time to give us a quote and then returned to do the work when he said he would. The shower and pump were fitted and everything seemed to be working fine. However, a few days later, I noticed a puddle of water under the pump. I called the plumber and he said that he must not have tightened the fittings properly. He suggested that we could easily fix it ourselves. However, my husband insisted that the plumber come back to fix it properly.
When the plumber returned, the water leakage was so bad that the lining paper in our dining room started to peel off and a big stain was left on our hallway ceiling. The plumber just shrugged when we pointed this out. For a few weeks, everything seemed to be working fine. However, the pump started to play up, cutting out and making strange noises. My husband called the plumber, but he didn't answer. He left a message explaining the problem, but there was no response. I also called, but there was no answer.
We contacted the pump manufacturer and found out that the warranty had expired in 2011, so they wouldn't repair it. It was obvious that the plumber had used an old pump that he had lying around. Now, we are left facing a hefty bill to sort out the expensive mess he made.
I was going to complain to the website, but after reading other people's comments, I don't think I'll bother. My advice to anyone thinking of using Trust a Trader is DO NOT USE IT.
TrustATrader Review: Not Trustworthy at All - Disappointing Experience with Verified Trader
I was really excited to use TrustATrader to find a reliable trader after a previous bad experience that ended up in court. However, I am disappointed to say that I am once again on the brink of taking another trader to court. The trader started off well, providing us with invoices for materials and promising to give us a receipt for the money paid. He said that we had to pay cash every day and that he would provide the receipt and invoice after the last day of work. We trusted him because he was associated with TrustATrader, but we were wrong.
Before the last day of work, we asked the trader to order topsoil and arrange for it to be spread. After the patio was finished, we paid the money and waited three days for the cement to dry before inspecting the work. We noticed that some of the work carried out was not up to standard, such as loose tiles, loose scallops, broken brackets, and broken pallets left behind our wall. We spoke to the trader, and he promised to complete the work when he returned to do the soil. However, he never came back, and he blocked us from contacting him.
We had previously had similar problems with other traders, but we thought that using TrustATrader would prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately, we were wrong. The two staff members I dealt with were terrible customer service agents. They had a poor understanding of mitigation and managing expectations, and they clearly sided with the traders. They would not provide any information to us, but we had to provide information to them, which they shared with the trader.
The trader claimed that they had not been paid, but we provided bank statements showing that we had taken out cash on the days that work was carried out, to the total amount that they were charging. We also provided evidence that they had quoted a family member after the work was completed, a text stream showing that they were coming back to carry out more work and remedials, and evidence that they had blocked us after not showing up on three occasions. We had never been contacted by them asking for payment.
I believe that they were doing a cash-in-hand job to avoid paying tax, but TrustATrader did not seem to care. They never answered our questions or picked up the phone, only sending short, vague emails. I would never recommend this site to anyone, and I will be taking their verified trader to court. TrustATrader is not trustworthy at all.

TrustATrader Review: Irresponsible Policy of Not Posting Negative Reviews Leads to Scams
TrustATrader is a website that claims to help people find trustworthy tradespeople for their jobs. However, my experience with them has been less than satisfactory. One major issue I have with TrustATrader is that they do not post negative reviews. This means that you do not get a full picture of the person you are potentially hiring to do your job. This is completely irresponsible and can lead to people being scammed by rogue traders.
Unfortunately, my family and I fell victim to a rogue trader who took our money and did not carry out the work. When we tried to leave a negative review on TrustATrader, we were told that it would not be posted. This is extremely unhelpful and allows the rogue trader to continue scamming people without consequence.
It is disgusting that TrustATrader is actively deceiving us by removing negative reviews and even helping these crooks. How can they sleep at night knowing that they are allowing people to be scammed? It is important for people to have access to all reviews, both positive and negative, so that they can make informed decisions about who they hire for their jobs.
In conclusion, I would not recommend TrustATrader to anyone looking for a trustworthy tradesperson. Their policy of not posting negative reviews is irresponsible and can lead to people being scammed. It is important to do your own research and not rely solely on websites like TrustATrader.
Unreliable Reviews and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with TrustATrader
TrustATrader is a website that claims to help people find trustworthy tradespeople in their local area. However, my recent experience with the site has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
I was looking for a builder to carry out some work on my home, and I came across a local builder who had excellent reviews on TrustATrader. Despite some reservations, I decided to go ahead and hire this builder based on the positive reviews I had read.
Unfortunately, it soon became clear that this builder was not as trustworthy as I had hoped. He carried out shoddy work and overcharged me for the job. In the end, I had to take him to court to try and get my money back.
When I tried to leave a negative review of this builder on TrustATrader, I was met with resistance. Despite providing evidence of the court proceedings, TrustATrader refused to post my review. They stopped responding to my emails and seemed more interested in protecting their reputation than helping me.
In my opinion, TrustATrader is more criminal than the cowboy builder I hired. Their negative review filters are designed to protect their own interests, rather than helping consumers make informed decisions. I am now in a difficult situation because of their lack of transparency and willingness to listen to my concerns.
Overall, I would not recommend TrustATrader to anyone looking for a reliable tradesperson. Their reviews cannot be trusted, and their customer service is lacking. If you want to avoid being ripped off by a cowboy builder, it's best to do your own research and find a reputable tradesperson through other means.
Disappointing Experience with TrustATrader: Lack of Protection and Unreliable Workmen
I recently hired some workmen from TrustATrader, thinking that I would be protected in some way because they were listed on such a well-known website. However, the company I used quoted me six weeks to carry out quite a bit of work on my family home. Now, seven months later, my house is still not complete and my son's bedroom is still a building site. All of a sudden, the work just stopped and after excuse after excuse, I decided to go back to the place I got my workmen from. It was pointless. They couldn't do anything and wouldn't even post my review. They told me they would act as a mediator, but that had no effect either. I am now massively out of pocket and extremely frustrated with the whole situation.
I thought that by using TrustATrader, I would be protected from situations like this. But unfortunately, that was not the case. The company I used seemed to have no regard for the agreed timeline or the quality of their work. It's been a nightmare trying to get them to finish the job and I'm still not sure when it will be completed.
I would caution anyone thinking of using TrustATrader to do their due diligence and research the companies they are considering thoroughly. Don't just rely on the fact that they are listed on a well-known website. Make sure you read reviews from other customers and ask for references before hiring anyone. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Overall, my experience with TrustATrader has been disappointing. I had high hopes for the website, but unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. I hope that in the future, they will do more to protect their customers and ensure that the companies listed on their website are reputable and reliable.

My Experience with TrustATrader: Unreliable Builders and Unprofessional Behavior
TrustATrader is a website that claims to help customers find reliable and trustworthy builders. However, my experience with this site has been less than satisfactory. I have heard from a builder that there is another side to TrustATrader that customers cannot see. This has made me skeptical about the site's claims.
I have tried to find a professional builder through TrustATrader, but I have never been successful. The builders I have come across have been extremely aggressive and unprofessional. They have missed appointments, charged exorbitant fees, and even sworn at me through text messages. This behavior is unacceptable and has made me question the quality of the builders on this site.
As a 69-year-old woman living alone, I have to be careful about who I let into my property. Unfortunately, the builders I have encountered on TrustATrader have been so rude and untrustworthy that I cannot rely on them. Their bad manners and aggressive behavior have left me feeling unsafe and vulnerable.
In conclusion, I would not recommend TrustATrader to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy builder. The site's claims of helping customers find professional builders seem to be false, and the builders on the site are often aggressive and unprofessional. As a customer, I have not had a positive experience with TrustATrader and would advise others to be cautious when using this site.
TrustATrader Review: Unfair Reviews and Lack of Support for Traders
Yo, listen up all you traders out there! I gotta tell you about my experience with TrustATrader. I been using this site for 3 years now and never had a bad review until recently. Some dude I never even worked for left a bad review and I couldn't prove I never worked for him. Then, to make matters worse, someone else left a review with straight up lies about my work. I sent all the proof I had to TrustATrader, including photos from my customer that showed she messed up my work by trying to do it herself, but they still posted the bad review.
I'm telling you, I'm done with TrustATrader. It's like anyone can leave a review, even if you never worked for them. It's not fair to us hardworking traders who take pride in our work. I'm taking down all my stuff from their site and finding a new way to advertise my services.
So, if you're thinking about using TrustATrader, just be careful. You never know who's gonna leave a bad review, even if they never even hired you. It's a tough world out there for us traders, but we gotta stick together and find a way to make it work.
TrustATrader: A Nightmare Experience with Poor Customer Service and Unprofessionalism
I recently had a terrible experience with a tradesman who did a shoddy job on my flooring. It was so bad that I had to remove it completely and replace it, which cost me a lot of money. I decided to contact TrustATrader, hoping that they could help me with my situation. However, my experience with this company was far from pleasant.
Dealing with TrustATrader was a nightmare. They did everything in their power to prevent me from posting a negative review about the tradesman. The person I spoke to was extremely rude and dismissive, treating me like an annoyance rather than a customer. It was clear that this company was only interested in posting positive reviews to keep their traders on their site and pocket their commission.
I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and customer service from TrustATrader. It was clear that they were more concerned with protecting their own interests than helping me as a customer. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using this company, as they are not trustworthy and do not have their customers' best interests at heart.
In conclusion, my experience with TrustATrader was a complete disaster. The tradesman did a terrible job, and TrustATrader was of no help whatsoever. Their sole focus is on preventing negative reviews from being posted, which is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I will be sure to warn others about their poor service.
Mixed Experience with Trustatrader: Slow Response and Questionable Results
Trustatrader, well, what can I say? I had a bit of a run-in with a rogue trader and thought I'd give them a go to see if they could help me out. I mean, they're called Trustatrader, so surely they can be trusted, right?
Well, let me tell you, it was a bit of a saga. I sent them a bad review about Mr Rogue Trader and they said they'd publish it and help me liaise with him. But then they took ages to reply to my emails and calls. I was starting to think they'd forgotten about me.
Eventually, they did get back to me and said they'd removed Mr Rogue Trader from the site. They also claimed they'd been in touch with his PA, but I know for a fact he doesn't have one. So, I'm not sure what's going on there.
They also said they'd help me with the small claims court, which was nice of them. But to be honest, I don't think they actually liaised with Mr Rogue Trader at all. I reckon they just removed him from the site because it was easier than dealing with the situation properly.
The thing is, Mr Rogue Trader had 40 reviews on Trustatrader, so I'm left with a shoddy kitchen and I'm out of pocket having to get remedial work done. He also damaged my property, which is just not on.
Overall, I'm not sure I'd trust Trustatrader again. They seem a bit slow to respond and I'm not convinced they actually did anything to help me out. Maybe they're better for smaller jobs, but for anything more serious, I'd look elsewhere.
Unreliable Reviews: My Experience with TrustATrader
TrustATrader is a website that claims to help people find reliable traders for their needs. However, some people believe that the site is biased towards traders who pay for advertising. This means that the reviews on the site may not be trustworthy, as they could be fake or manipulated to make the trader look good.
I recently had an experience with a roofer who had great reviews on TrustATrader, but turned out to be very unprofessional. They did not follow basic Health and Safety practices, which put both themselves and others at risk. When neighbours complained about the noise and mess, the roofer threatened them instead of trying to resolve the issue.
To make matters worse, the roofer did a very poor job on the roof. They complained constantly about not getting paid enough, and blamed any weather issues for their inability to do the job properly. They left a lot of materials in the gutters and did not fix anything without being prompted to do so.
In my opinion, TrustATrader is not a reliable source of information when it comes to finding trustworthy traders. It is important to do your own research and ask for recommendations from friends and family before hiring anyone. Don't just rely on online reviews, as they may not be accurate or truthful.
Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with TrustATrader
I was in need of a bathroom fitter and had no personal recommendations, so I decided to give TrustATrader a try. I was hopeful that they would be able to connect me with a reliable and trustworthy tradesperson. Unfortunately, my experience with the bathroom fitters I found through TrustATrader was less than satisfactory.
The fitters did not fully complete the work and the work they did do was substandard. I was disappointed and frustrated, but I remembered that TrustATrader offers a guarantee that they will intervene and even pay for remedial work if a trader turns out to be unreliable. I reached out to TrustATrader for help, but unfortunately, they were not much better than the fitters themselves.
I filled out a complaint form and had to call TrustATrader to confirm that they had received it. Despite my multiple attempts to contact them, I have not heard back from them in 8 weeks. It seems to me that TrustATrader is a one-man operation that will take on any trader without doing any checks whatsoever. Contrary to their name, they cannot be trusted.
I was disappointed with my experience with TrustATrader and the bathroom fitters they connected me with. I would caution anyone considering using this service to do their due diligence and research any potential traders thoroughly before hiring them. TrustATrader may not be the reliable and trustworthy service they claim to be.
Trust A Trader: Hiding Negative Reviews and Failing Consumers
I gotta say, I've had some serious issues with a company listed on Trust A Trader. They were supposed to finish a job in 6 weeks, but it's been 6 months and they're still not done. They've missed appointments left and right, and the work they have done is shoddy at best. Not to mention, they've caused damage to my property and tried to cover it up.
So, I did what any reasonable person would do and posted a review on Trust A Trader. I included emails and photos to back up my claims, but guess what? They won't post it! And to make matters worse, no one will even talk to me about it.
It's pretty obvious to me that this site is just a way for traders to advertise themselves. They only want positive reviews so that companies will stick with them. But how can you trust a site that won't even post a genuine and accurate review just because it's negative?
I'm really disappointed in Trust A Trader. I thought they were supposed to be a reliable resource for finding trustworthy tradespeople, but now I'm not so sure. If they're willing to hide negative reviews, what else are they hiding?
do not trust a trader
I fell for their advertisements and good reviews. And I really regret now I spent so much money for being so naive.
I won't tell you long sad stories about my experience, I am here to warn you to stay away from this website. Yes, they seem to be trustful, but it's a lie.
Most of the traders are unprofessional, and they may ruin your house. The reviews under their profiles may be bought, it's not a problem now.
The plumber I hired did everything terribly and I had to hire a new one from another service to fix the bad job. I gave the service the second shot and hired an electrician who delayed his visits 3 times and never arrived after all.
You shouldn't trust everything you hear and see. It's just a trick to get your money.
This service is a joke.
they need only customer's money
I recently joined the website www.trustatrader.com, but it was bad experience and wouldn’t recommend it to other people. I paid membership, but they didn’t provide anything useful, coz they wanted only my money. They didn’t reply to questions and replied to my emails, when they needed more money from me. So be careful if you use this website or leave comments if you have horrible experience with these horrible people.
scammers!
I purchased trustatrader.com product, then I bought my site name and 2 year hosting but I have never received my login instructions. After viewing whois I don't see my name as the owner of my site that I paid for but I was given a site the same as all others. I paid for it and they use it as their own I think they have a reseller account and keep the hosting money $147.00 instead of my site having its own servers.
I used trustatrader to kind a kitchen fitter (Barry warden, Billericay) terrible workmanship - trust a trader have been no help & seem to allow many fake positive reviews - it’s hard to leave a negative review too
