TunnelBear Please make necessary changes for other users before they encounter a similar circumstance to mine. Thank you.

I have used TunnelBear approx 2x per week in the past year. I had found it reliable. Something very odd started happening beginning ~Mar. 24, 2022. Even a week or so before that, the Canada country free VPN option which had always been viable in the past, refused to connect. I already began to suspect that perhaps world events (fear of hackers) was a (temporary?) root cause.

The last week of March, however, none of the dozens of country IPs would work. My apps are set to update, but no update action or notification was forthcoming. What’s worse: for the last few days my primary device (iPad Mini 2) would keep losing not my router but my home WiFi signal. Google search/YouTube were failing, but DDG search and other apps still functioned — Very Confusing! — At the time, I was not using TBear, and I never fail to switch it off b/c I don’t want to lose free minutes.

It turns out that TBear was still trying to connect (in vain) to VPN sites from my previous session despite the fact that THE SLIDER WAS SET TO OFF! I removed TBear app and... RESULT: full iPad WiFi restored: PROBLEM SOLVED!

To the good people at TBear: What the heck is going on with your app? In keeping with your professionalism as evident on your website, you need to properly inform users of any anomalies and changes to hardware/app compatibility. Some kind of failsafe should have prevented (if not cautioned me re) the issue that took place with my iPad. After performing countless tests on my router and device, I literally had to DELETE YOUR APP to solve the problem! I’m afraid that I will not feel comfortable installing your service on my device ever again. I do hope my considered feedback may help you. — RPA

TunnelBear Black lives matter

A few days ago I was logged out of TunnelBear by Tunnelbear — essentially leaving my computer and Internet connection exposed. When I reset my password and logged back in, I discovered that TunnelBear had reset my service and logged me out because it was adding its Black Lives Matter promotions al lover its website.

BLM is a violent, racist organization that seeks communist revolution. It's being bankrolled by multinationals through foundations and congregation-based community organizations affiliated with Obama and which rely upon satanic Saul Alinsky tactics.

Right around the time TB mysteriously logged me out and reset my service,
BLM posters began appearing all over my neighborhood threatening to burn down/loot houses/assault white people because they are white and this is a white community.

I expressed my concern to TB and advised that I wanted to cancel service immediately and refund my money — all they did is affirm proudly how BLM is one of their cherished charities and that they are also huge BLGQT advocates and give to a lot of other leftists causes... the very causes whose sponsors that are censoring free speech, harvesting info to use against consumers...

TB is clearly supporting BLM either because BLM is paying them to put up their ads or they are getting incentivized elsewhere. It could be in exchange for some government favors/tax write offs/bail out money — or corruption, they were told to give to BLM to get it at the direction of their lobbyists.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. There is no way they are pouring money into BLM and endorsing them and keeping your money safe. Now, if you are a Queer racist who wishes death upon your white neighbors TB is for you.

***Keeping your info (not money) safe...

What do you want to bet, TB is sharing your info with BLM for favors/perks?

CORRUPT COMPANY! AVOID!

Is TunnelBear Legit?

TunnelBear earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds TunnelBear to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 0% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, TunnelBear is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with TunnelBear, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

The age of TunnelBear's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.

Tunnelbear.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Tunnelbear.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

Several positive reviews for TunnelBear have been found on various review sites. While this may be a good sign, it is important to approach these reviews with caution and consider the possibility of fake or biased reviews.

We looked up TunnelBear and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While TunnelBear has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • TunnelBear protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

TunnelBear vpn

TunnelBear only provides the free 500 Mb of VPN bandwidth once and does not give any further free bandwidth allocation unless the customer complains. There is a free test of 500 Mb but NOT a free monthly level of service. This system has been tested many times. No accounts got any monthly free bandwidth allocation as they were supposed to receive. An official complaint report filed with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC). We are a non-profit self-funded consumer protection action committee that tests "free" offers advertised on the Internet for false advertising.

The TunnelBear Company should be penalized by the FTC and either provide the free monthly service as advertised or change the advertising to be truthful by saying they only offer a "one-time 500 Mb free test."

TunnelBear I have been getting charged twice

I have just noticed when doing expenses that my card was being charged twice for this service. I used Tunnel Bear previously but not for a while. I would like my account reviewed and this should be refunded where applicable. I came across this by chance and this has been happening for some time. My mobile number is +[protected] and my mail address is martin.[protected]@teleplan.com. I would like this to be resolved and have deleted the app yesterday until this has been dealt with to my satisfaction

Regards
Martin Coulter

TunnelBear sometimes I can't get any access to several websites

It's glitchy sometimes. I am not sure whether it happens to every VPN software or to TunnelBear only, but I would like to get rid of these issues.
Honestly, the issues are not big, but sometimes they irritate.
Sometimes I can't get access to several websites and they stay closed or blocked no matter what. don't what exactly it depends on, but I thought that VPN services are meant to open inaccessible websites for us.
So I uploaded another app as well, that saves me from that but still use the TunnelBear. If it continues happening, I will probably stop using it...

They charged my card Sunday October 2 at 9:42 pm for 9.99 I've never delt with or allowed this company to use my card, I've never even heard of them! They are stealing people's money and I won't stop until I'm given my money back.
