Turkish Airlines Paying for extra legroom but not getting those seats: online aircraft map and real aircraft did not match up

My letter below is in response to the noreply feedback I got from Turkish Airlines (TA). Costumer Service. Although it gives the option of 'clicking here' - one only gets an 'access from this server is denied' - all other attempts to make online contact with TA gives the same response.

Thank you for your reply.

The seat numbers are indeed the same as we have originally booked online.

However - online - these seats were well indicated to have extra legroom and therefore we had to pay extra for them.

As you know, your online system calculates this automatically - so you only have to look at the booking and invoices itself to see this.

When our seats did not give us access to the seats we originally booked, we could only recon that the plaine layout used with the online booking and the actual plaine used when we boarded had not been the same.

Kindly check where we have made the booking itself and our subsequent payments.

My partner and I have simultaneously booked these return tickets online parallel to ensure that we fligh together upon our return.

Upon our embarking we were not allocated the seats we paid for, though the seat numbers had stayed the same. This may have happened because another aircraft had been used than the one we made our booking according to.

Could you kindly let us know what the procedure is for arranging a refund for the extra money we have paid?

Turkish Airlines Denial boarding flight 1981 on 25/12/2022.

With grievous heart I and my family regretted boarding Turkish airline (Flight Tk 626) that flew on 24th December,2022. From Muritala international Airport Lagos.

On this fateful day, flight TK 626 supposed to take off at exactly 9:55PM to IstanbulTturkey according to the itinerary receipt issued by Turkish airline tickets instead Flight Tk 626 Took off exactly 10:20PM on alighting at Istanbul Airport Turkey, We moved out of flight 626 Inorder to board Flight 1981 according to Our itinerary and as directed by the crew members at Istanbul Airport Turkey Immediately, We were told that the flight 1981 We supposed to take to Gatwick Airport United Kingdom has flew, Immediately I and My family and other three (3) different families that boarded Flight 626 reported at Turkish customer service We went to complain but all our efforts as directed by Turkish customer service for 6 hours at Istanbul Airport was abortive. We all have to book and paid for another flight going to Gatwick Airport United Kingdom Which flew at 2:00pm Turkey Time, By the time We eventually arrived at Gatwick Airport United Kingdom at luggage claim section I discovered that My bags have been torn and tape have been used to support it On getting to the Hotel Where We lodge TRIVELLES HOTEL GATWICK We discovered that items where stollen on my luggage.

Turkish Airlines Denied boarding/cancelled reservation without any notification

I booked online ticket with travel from EWR-IST-DOHA Dec 6th, 2022 and return on Dec 24th from DOHA-IST-JFK (PNR - RAJAZE)
First of all I was denied boarding on Dec 8th in the afternoon flight from IST to DOHA since they said I need to have the HAYYA approval. (which was in pending state) Then I went to ticketing and updated my travel to 20:25 hr flight to DOHA which will reach Dec 9th around 1:30AM. I was issued boarding pass and after being seated in the aircraft I was pulled back and the gate manager 'HAKAN LICAR' behaved so bad that he teared by boarding pass and pushed me to exit out of the gate. I asked for police or higher authority help and then he in the pretext of helping wasted the time to aim the plane leaves for DOHA. I pleaded help but nothing was done. Infact I showed him My next flight details from DOHA to DELHI was within the next 24 hours which I showed him the itenary as well.

This was in case my HAYYA portal entry do not get approved I was still within the 24 of my next travel from DOHA to DELHI with your code share partner INDIGO AIR As I was denied to travel to DOHA I immediately booked by travel with a new ticket from IST to DELHI for the following day. I took a hotel and stayed back in IST. As anticipated my HAYYA portal got approved in the early hours of Dec 9th - so had I made it to DOHA I would have had my approval and everything would have been fine. But because of this less knowledgable person HAKAN LICAR who denied my DOHA boarding I ended up spending my additional day in hotel room, new travel booking from IST to DELHI etc. Before exiting IST I ensured to check with Turkish airlines (since I am denied travel leg to DOHA) will my rest of the itenary be intact?

And the desk confirmed with YES.

SO I left DELHI traveling by INDIGO.

On my return I was surprised that my ticket from DOHA to IST-JFK was deleted and I was not aware of it. WHen I tried to get my boarding pass in DOHA they said that I do not have my reservation in place. This was more painful now as I am stuck in DOHA without a travel confirmation. How can TUKISH airline delete my onward journey without informing me? I have smiles and miles account. All details of contact are there and yet no communication. I was helpless to the point and since didnt had any alternative I booked a NEW ticket with QATAR airways non stop to JFK and paid about $900.00 Here I am requesting that person HAKAN LICAR should be terminated from his duties who created a mess for my travel, secondly refund my money on the travel leg which was deleted without informing me, forcing me to buy a new ticket to travel back to JFK.

Turkish Airlines Not giving me a boarding pass

on 16.12 I flew from Sofia to Istanbul. first, they put me on standby and they didn't want to put me on the flight, then they told me that I don't have a transfer, that they don't see which company it is with and when I landed in Istanbul to look for a boarding pass for the flight to new Delhi. complete absurdity and humiliation, for the thousands of BGN I paid you. The flight left 30 minutes late, landed at 12:26 on the runway. after that the Turkish airlines staff played with me for half an hour that I don't have a flight with them, I found indigo and they didn't want to give me a boarding pass. they still gave it to me, I went through checks and at 13:50 I was at the gate, which had already closed, and I was told that the plane had taken off? how come it comes out 25 min early? departure time is 14:15?!?!? also, my suitcase was not put on this flight at all, it stayed at Istanbul airport! this is where the real [censored] and humiliation started from your side! rude and unprofessional mocking attitude from your staff. they didn't help me in any way, they told me it was my fault?!?! they didn't put me on another flight, they told me that even if I fly to New Delhi, I can't use the return flights and I have to buy new tickets for thousands of BGN. I even bought the ticket from Istanbul to Sofia again for 800 BGN! you left me at the airport for 21 hours without water without food without compensation, like some street dog! because of you I missed two more flights and two hotel reservations, I lost over 2000 euros, you ruined an important trip and most of all you humiliated me and trampled on my human rights! I want you to look into this case and pay me the amount I paid you for the tickets, I want compensation for the expenses I lost, I want compensation for not putting me up in a hotel when you didn't find me a flight and I want compensation for leaving me at the airport for 21 hours without food and water. I will seek my rights and sue you in every possible way. I am attaching my plane tickets, which shows that my booking is from you not from Indigo, and also the fictitious, invalid boarding pass that was issued to me in Sofia.

Turkish Airlines I was travel from Mumbai to Santiago and I have received one bag on 15 Nov. but 2nd bag still missing

I was travel on 10 September 2022 and my baggage was missing. I have received only one bag actual baggage weight was 24 KG at the time check-in. but received on 15 September 2022 only 15 KG (9 KG missing items from my bag trimmer, Sony camera & personal belongings etc. and 2nd bag still missing. I have contacted with Mumbai Turkish airline assistance in the airport

Turkish Airlines Flight/ticketing

December 14, 2022.

I had a flight from Salt Lake City to KFK, JFK to Istanbul, then Istanbul to HBE. I arrived at the SLC airport early because the flight should take off 15:11 and this one is the connecting flight (JetBlue) up to JFK. I found that the flight to JFk was canceled, and no one informed me. Then I contacted customer service, and the drama started. I spend the whole day and night at the airport trying to reschedule or resolve this problem everyone from customer service told me a new story one of them told me that we had refunded you so you have to book a new flight and I did not ask for refunding another at the same day told me we have flight tomorrow, but you will pay 1094 $ based on the previous take that I have been refunded after that I stayed up to 18 PM yesterday at the airport and today I tried to call them to know my situation one customer service told me that there is no any refund has occurred and I lost the flight, and at that time I saw two flights with the same date and destination on my websites after I told them about that they deleted it and now I have just 2 weeks to see my children that I did not see them 3 years ago and about 3 days gone and now without any solution just submit a form to complain, and we will answer you when I don't know. it seems that there are no connections between customer service agents, as each one works separately. I heard a lot of different words about my flight, and all this information seemed to be totally wrong. Now I need my rights.

I have attached a screenshot of some calls with customer service.

Desired outcome: Book a new flight for me as soon as possible and compensate me for their mistakes.

Turkish Airlines Denied boarding Flight TK-[protected]; PNR-SPB7MI

Hello,

I was denied boarding flight TK-721 PNR SPB7MI on 11-12-22 from Mumbai, on the grounds that my UK multiple-entry visa on which I was to travel to my final destination Cancun, Mexico has to be a used visa and not a newly issued visa which is totally incorrect. The airline staff was not at all aware of the visa requirements of the Mexican Embassy, which clearly states on their official website, (https:embamex.sre.gob.mxindiaindex.phpconsularesvisas) that anyone with a valid multiple-entry UK, USA, Canada, Schengen, and Japan visas can travel to Mexico freely without obtaining a Mexican visa. I tried to explain to them but they refused to listen. I also have an email clarification from the Mexican Embassy in India about the same which I can share with you for your reference if you may need it.

I was so helpless and forced to cancel as I had no other choice but to seek a refund of both my onward and return tickets with them at the check-in counter in Mumbai airport on the date of boarding i.e. 11-12-2022 which they agreed to process and promised me to update their records accordingly for cancellation and refund, and asked me to follow up with EaseMyTrip, from whom I had booked this ticket, for a refund. However, after further following up with EaseMyTrip, I understand that Turkish Airlines now saying that it was a "No Show" and hence they cannot refund the money, which is totally rubbish and absurd and totally unacceptable. I believe this airline has a great reputation and goodwill worldwide. but I never expected this kind of behavior and harassment and scamming passengers in the name of cancellations and No Shows. I request you to please help me arrange for a full refund of both my onward and return tickets fare at the earliest and also compensate me for all the losses and trauma this has caused for spoiling my vacation plans for the fault of their own uninformed and ignorant staff.

Turkish Airlines Due to a flight delay in Malta to Istanbul Turkey, I was stuck for 2 days and had to pay for a visa

on Novembember 21st, 2022,

I had a flight from Malta to Istanbul on flight 1370 at 9:25 am. Turkish Airlines flight was delayed for over 2 1/2 hours in resulting me in missing my connecting 3:34 PM flight 81 to Boston. The next flight wasn't for 2 days so I had to pay $30 for a Visa to enter Istanbul Turkey. The Turkish representative told me to email Turkish airlines for a refund of the $30 because I was forced to pay for a Visa.

I expect a refund for this Visa. What do I have to do in order to obtain this refund?

Turkish Airlines Incorrectly charging me for their mistake

I purchased a ticket with an option to change the dates free of charge. Turkish Airlines cancelled the return flight leg. When I rebooked it, I rebooked it for the wrong date; Dec 8 instead of Dec 7. I caught it immediately and called the customer service to address this. They want to charge me for the correction. The original ticket I purchased had one free option to change so this change should not be chargeable. They said that although it was Turkish Airlines that cancelled my return flight and I had to rebook it because of that, my free option to change is used up now. Even if an international airline like Turkish Airlines does not have a 24 hours rule to address errors, this is still Turkish Airlines fault that I need to rebook the return flight in the first place! This makes no sense. If my ticket was the cheapest fare and if Turkish Airline cancelled the flight, I would automatically get the option to rebook it even if I do not have the free option to change it as it is Turkish Airlines fault. I raised a feedback form and spoke to the customer service representative again who transferred me to another representative who said that it is my fault for booking the incorrect date and if I am unhappy, to cancel my flight and fly another airline. Turkish Airlines, what is going on with your customer service? It is one thing for you to make a mistake and another to double down and blame the customer. I just paid the additional to rebook as I do not have any more time than the 2 hours I have spent trying to address this. I am extremely disappointed in you Turkish Airlines.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology as well as a refund of money that I should not have been charged.

Turkish Airlines False information and on hold for hours from customercare

Due to recent bombing in Istanbul, I called the customer care number and explained them, that I have to postpone my travel plans to Istanbul, this year. I called around 9 PM Eastern Time on November 15th and was on hold for about 25 or so minutes, and the lady told me I will get $791 refund for my return flights, which I wanted to cancel from Delhi to Istanbul (Nov 17) and Istanbul to Chicago (Nov 21). However, due to signal drop, my call dropped, even though I had requested her multiple times, if that happens, please call me back on my number and she agreed, but never called back.

I called again right away, and the next operator told me, after putting me on hold for more than 30 minutes, I will get refund of $50. I kept calling multiple times, and that whole night trying to get to a different operator, but this lady kept coming back and she wasn't friendly and didn't want to understand, that I have been given a price from their own team and didn't want to transfer my call to my first agent or connect me with her supervisor.

Some how, she managed to block my USA number, that I couldn't call the customer care with my USA number, it kept saying Busy, and even tried with my other USA number, didn't work. Then I tried with my Mom's number from India, and that worked, and then still connected to the same agent, and she still didn't help.

Desired outcome: Give me refund of $791 and cancel my flight, as you told me on the first call.

Turkish Airlines Booking ticket

Bought ticket at flight from International Istambuł to London Heathrow at 27.10.2022 and after transaction expected to receive confirmation with all required information to check in butI did not receive it. Call customer service does not exist at all because all are very busy so I was on Facebook chat with any brainless ignorants who asking me for details but no one of them was intellectualy able answer me to the simplest ever question, how I to know details If I did not receive any confirmation with required details to check in?, To. my next questions and I had 4 or 5, assistants.. no one of them wanted to continuing the chat with me, and interrupted the chat ignored me at all. Skandal. Then today I was looking for Turkish Airline bureau but found 5 agencie where wanted to sell any tickets but no one was once again able to answer to my simlple question. At the end and after 2 days of hard speech with, assistants, found Headquarter in Istambul and once again and still around they were ssking me for any details of flight but how to answer them If I had to have details from Airline in confirmation set to my email address. The assistant had been trying to force that I made the order not at 27.10.2022 but 25.10.2002 what is comletely lies. Despatite the data of departure I was asking for any proof of sending of confirmation to my address but assistants was unable to answer and they by the rude way wanted any confirmation of me that I did not receive the confirmation of flight. So The case will be reporter once again not only to turkish airline but to Airline Organisations as well and I am going to takę action against turkish airline in British Court Department

Turkish Airlines Very long delay on our return flight on 25/8/22 from tk0965 & tk1979 ercan-ist-heathrow.

Our return flight from ercan (tk0965) originally at 3.30 did not take of until around 8.00 am. And we lost the combination flight which was supposed to be from istanbul to heathrow, which suppose to depart at 7.55am but because of delays it departed around 15.38 pm! This, has caused a lot of problems... Series of delays made our both flights hell... As a result, instead of arriving to heathrow at 9.50 am, we arrived to heathrow around 18.00 (6.00 pm) which is approximately 9 hours late...! Not only the time we wasted and strunded at both ercan & istanbul airports, but you lost our baggage as well and we were told 'wait, look, register your lost baggage ' and by the time we done that, we did not come home until mid-night that night which was 25th. August 2022... And without our baggage which was lost! Until they found it and returned it to us few days later...! So, our flight was a nightmere...! We want compensation for all we made to suffer... I hope without making a complaint to 'flight ombudsman' we can settle our claim. Looking forward to your reply asap... Yours faithfully, mr. Turkish Airlines turkish airline Flight TK873

FLIGHT DATE 5 OCTOBER 2022.

Flight number TK873 ( Tehran -Istanbul)

i purchased the tickets from Malta for my elderly Parents.

when purcahsing the ticket I CHOOSE and PAYED for 2 seats with EXTRA LEG room next to each other , close to the WC

and

WHEELCHAIR service

and

Diabetic food .

NON was given .

then the flight was Delayed from Tehran so they missed their flight to malta TK1369.

again turkish airport didnt bother to give my father the WHEELCHAIR OR OFFER THEM A ROOM TO rest till their next flight .

(at the moment my parents are at the airport waiting...)

Desired outcome: i need sone one from turkish airlines to contact me right away . and i Demand a refund , as i dont feel comfortable to use the return flight for my parents with such a terrible service service .

Turkish Airlines Why my flight was on booking in was canceled or for rebooking due to irregulars

On checking in for my flight on 3rd Oct, Bucharest to Miami TK1044 & TK77

Ref: TGBX35 My Ticket No: [protected], I could not take this flight due to irregularies, with no other explanation, except that I was either offered a refund

or re book for another flight, what was the reason,?.

I took a refund and canceled, I checked with the Alternative Airlines who made the reservations and upon applying for a refund they refused stating that this was an operator problem and would not assist me further. Although I paid them a lot of monies for their services, I will never deal with them again and I am seeking legal assistance.

My question to Turkish Airlines why was I NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE THIS FLIGHT, and how do I know if my refund by Turkish Airlines, is being processed and how do I find this information.

Turkish Airlines Fee

Good day,

On September 3, 2022 Roman Múdry passport number BA6366914, Peter Stulrajter passport number BR8275168 and Ľubomír Stulrajter passport number BJ5338925 flew with company TURKISH AIRLINES from Vienna to NUR SULTAN via ISTAMBUL (flight number TK1884 and TK0354) and back on September 17 (flight number TK0355 and TK1883). We also had 3 weapons registered with the ticket.

We paid TURKISH AIRLINES EUR september 3, 2022 charge 625.80 EUR for 3 guns. On the way back, we paid company TURKISH AIRLINES EUR 270.80 for only 3 weapons.

Why did we pay 625.80 EUR in Vienna, when charge for excess baggage company TURKISH AIRLINESis 90 EUR per piece?

Turkish Airlines I’m complaining about Turkish Airlines ,Flight attendants are very racist and rude

Flight attendants are very racist and rude ,The flight attendants are very racist and rude. I was flying from Turkey to Los Angeles yesterday and had surgery. When I got on the plane, I asked them that I should put my legs up because of the surgery and to prevent my legs from swelling. Not paying attention was the worst flight of my life. The flight attendants were unimportant and one of their big faults is that they don't know English well

My Flight from Istanbul to Karachi on 6th September 2022 TK 0708 , i had pain in my back and wanted to relax in flight so i asked the person at check in counter if i upgrade my flight flight to business class do i get Lie Flat Back seat , he replied yes and i paid 10943 TRY to upgrade , i was assigned sear 04E , when i came inside the plane i was shocked to see the state of sear reclining me along with other business class passengers filed complaint to the crew and they mentioned they cannot do anything , so most of the business class passengers moved to economy as the seat were reclining better in economy my name is Fahad Sultan Ahmed amd my miles amd smiles number is [protected] i would require full refund of 10943 TRy to the same card as i spent all of the flight sitting in economy

Desired outcome: Full refund of business class upgrade needs to be paid back , i have attached picture of my boarding card , upgrade receipt and seats picture of aircraft my contact number is [protected]

Turkish Airlines Never received refund!!!

We are a family from Ukraine, had tickets for TK1474 on the 8th May (Kostin), booked through Travala.com. On the 24th of February our city Kharkiv was shelled by russian army and our airport was ruined on a first day of invasion. I knew that we would not be able to make this flight so I requested to refund my tickets (it was not my family's fault that russia invaded my county and that the airport was destroyed). My case went under a voluntary refund and was not investigated correctly. I wrote 3 times already to customer support and each time I got kicked back to my travel agency, Travala stated that they wrote to the airlines several times as well and didnt get any respond so far. I am positive that I 100% is entitled for a full refund. Right now my family is a refugee and believe me I wont stop untill I get my money back. Otherwise I will assume that you support russians and their invasion and will advertise it from a different side on social networks.

I need a superior to resolve my issue.

Turkish Airlines Customer service department

Hi... My name Is Elena Králová

I had flight from Brussels to Delhi on 22 of August.. with my son all documents was proved... Visa of my son was proved by india airport and by Turkish airlines so we got into flight from Brussels to Istanbul TK 1938... But when we came to gate to catch our flight to India TK 0716 we got stopped and not allowed to go... Because of visa of my son... Or better say because one document was in Czech language... What was not problem in Brussels for Turkish airlines. Then i was send to customer service department and it was one of most terrible experience in my life i think... Customer service Stuff was not helpful, was arrogant, agressive, disrespectful, ignoring us . Or even yelling at us... After 6 hours of trying to get everything ready.. (with my son sleeping under the desk) ...to fly to my destination they gave me only one option .. go back to Brussels... And that one was possible in 3 days... In the end they found place in first morning flight... But refuse refound because it was according them my fault... If it will be my fault why i was allowed and got green by India and by Turkish airlines to flight to Istanbul ?.. doesn't make sense... do you think it was pleasure to fly to Istanbul have night of stressful nightmare and terrible disrespectful behavior? No it wasn't my dream holiday...how u will feel if that would happen to you? I am asking just to refound my tickets.. or get voucher... I didn't like behavior of customers service department in Istanbul... But still i believe there are also some humans with heart...
