-This company is not legitimate
-The products that they peddle through third parties are a Scam!
-Dealing with this company through normal commercially accepted communication is not possible.
I purchased 2 leather sofas from VCF and I was stupid enough to purchase this warranty for an extra $400.
We immediately had issues with the sofa frames, electronics, motors, pealing and cracking on the leather. We filed a claim...
Tech came to house.. documented all damage and agreed that all were covered repairs. He told us to wait for a box of parts, and he would be back.
I don't like putting personal info out, but I was injured in combat And I'm the process of medical retirement after 25 years of service. Because of this, we had to unexpectedly prepare to leave service and move.
When we re-engaged with the company. They claimed they sent us (VIA email) a cash settlement offer. We never received it. Because we didn't respond to an offer we didn't receive, Uniters denied all claims because we didn't respond to their offer (The offer we never received). We are still in the warranty period and Uniters refuses to honor their warranty.
I have done a lot of research on this company now, and the amount of claim disputes and irresponsible business practices is Unbelievable!
Enough is enough! This company needs to be held accountable...but what can we do?
Here's what I am doing... recommend you all do the same. (I got some of this from other posters on this forum...thanks)
1. Seek relief through class action lawsuits
I am going to start contacting attorneys, but I need a better idea of how many are affected.
2. Written official complaints to my attorney general and the AG of Florida. File 443 complaints through the BBB
3. Because I am a disabled vet, I will contact the DoD and petition for this company to be added to the Military's "off limits" list of fraudulent companies.
That way, service members and vets will be informed and avoid business with this company.
4. We need to come together and do something about this... I am a retired military officer, on quarantine, with nothing else to do. This is an efficient use of my time.
5. Social media. I don't participate, but everyone that does needs to light these guys up.
6. I intend to contact all of the companies leadership Team (https://www. Uniters.com/) in writing and demand action, reform, or redress.
What are your thoughts?
I am waiting for a call back from ”Ronnie” who is supposed to be a supervisor or manager of some sort. This is the last “unofficial” contact with this company. It will all be in writing (using certified mail) from now on.
I am interested too in joining in a class action lawsuit against them.
I am interested as well
I'm very interested in joining the lawsuit too. My couch has came apart atvthe seams. They've sent me three used couches in worse shape than mine. The last one they put it in a box, so I would think it was new. Well, it wasn't. I also had rips on It and paw prints all over it. Value City said they won't be sending me another couch because I refused the trash they've already sent. They claim I now have to go through the Pure Promise but all I get is a recording that transfers me to value City.
I am facing the same exact issue. Filed claim, tech came in, “ordered the part”. This is all back in January. It is May and still nothing. Finally got on the phone with someone, this lady talked to me on the phone in a very rude way. Supposedly the order came in today….. it’s May 5th. Claim was filed in January….
I’m interested in your lawsuit. This is unbelievable and a waste of 400 bucks.
is this still active ? i would like to join as well.
I would gladly join
