University of Central Florida nursing program, unethical teachers, political retribution etc. etc.

This is a re-post from a few months ago... I still get shaken up thinking about the railroading I got from a couple of hags at UCF. I hate to ascribe motivation to people's actions, because you're almost guaranteed to misconstrue something. But after more reflection, I honestly believe this was a completely political dismissal, and these "teachers" gave me the boot to "avenge" Hillary's 2016 defeat. Bear with me now... I know I've just crossed the line into crazy conspiracist territory. I truly believe I was kicked out of a promising career (but still on the hook for 25k) for political associations perceived by my teachers. The environment was heavily feminist, opinions were either far left, or non-existent. I was one of 5 guys (that remained) along with the other 30+ females. If I had known there were special rules about what "truth" is acceptable in a female classroom, I would have lied and told them what they wanted to hear. One of the teachers I mention below (Duckworth) had made several contradictory statements all throughout her classes, and not a single person (including myself) dared to raise questions, most likely due (in my case anyway) to the current socio-political climate. Anyway, there's so much more to say, but too much detail will mire the point... higher education is still a business, and it's thoroughly soaked in politics, which detract from the function of education in a huge way. You can take my word for this or reject it, but I would have made a fantastic nurse. I'll never be one now, but after my experience with UCF, it's probably for the best. I can't imagine moving on to a work environment that is fraught with the same political (occasionally anti-white/permanently anti-male) nonsense that was rampant in the school. It was a learning experience, but the lesson I learned benefits humanity in absolutely no way. I learned a cynicism that can only come from being stomped on. I am writing this as of 6/22/2019. This bit below is the original complaint (which I think I accidentally submitted as a comment to another complaint rather than an actual complaint). Thank you to anyone that reads this. Just airing this business online makes me feel a touch of vindication, although I'll never get the time wasted back.

This was originally posted around the beginning of 2019 I think. It describes events from February 2018...

I was nearing completion of my BSN in UCF's school of Nursing. We were discussing the suicide ratio between men and women in a mandatory participation class discussion. I was called on to give my interpretation as to why males commit suicide 4 to 1 over females. I was cornered, and I forgot that we live in a time of politically correct feminist nightmares. I said "What about sexual dynamic?". The teacher asked for an explanation. "Well" I said, "men typically seek the affections of women, not the other way around. Men are pursuers and women are pursuees (sic)" etc etc. Nothing rude, vulgar, misogynistic etc. I just said what I thought everyone already understood to be the truth... and one of the many reasons for the suicide discrepancy (along with PTSD from service etc etc). I was called into the office that afternoon by one Frances Iacobellis along with one Nancy Duckworth... both my professors in the nursing program. They told me I was mentally ill, and I was out of the program. I had taken over 20K in student loans already, and had a great GPA with mostly A's and a few B's... for the entire 4.5 (out of 5) semesters for the program. I was engaged with the program, had completed all my clinical rotations satisfactorily etc etc.

I angered a couple of ultra leftwing liberal feminists by stating what I though everybody knew to be the truth already. They got malicious with me, and upon my final meeting with them, they had armed police (UCF cops) escort me out of the building. Now this makes it sound like I was kicking and screaming right. Nope, just as calm and cordial as ever. The cops seem to know the score, we shook hands, and I left the parking lot of the Cocoa Regional UCF campus for good. I had no idea that these aging liberal feminists were this malicious. I honestly didn't know I had provoked them so badly. If I could go back I would have responded "The suicide rate is so skewed because men are oppressive and violent, and women are great!" Alas, I have the emotional intelligence of a goldfish, and I didn't realize grade-school girl manipulations and schemes were part of the pre-reqs. It totally sucked. If you are a male... do not expect the right to due process at UCF. They will gladly take your money and give you the boot. Now if you're comfortable with being a liar, then you should have no problem there, and you'll fit right in. Thank you for reading. Sincerely, Matthew Robert Bryant.

University of Central Florida abusive teachers, discrimination

UCF is a bad university with teachers who are abusive to students, and worse, nothing is done about teachers who mistreat students are unfair to them or any of the sort...as a student I had several experiences of being bullied by teachers and one in particular, who removed me from her class for no reason and was very abusive. I worked very hard through the entire semester and was removed in the end because I missed one day of class. I went to the department head and nothing was done about it. It's really nice to know that a student can get mistreated or discriminated against by an outrageously mean teacher for no reason, and there is nothing that a school does about it...on top of their bad administration and staff, they awlays have problems with people's paperwork and get things lost and have a bad system going on there...it may be a big school but it is run inefficiently, unprofessionally, and the people who teach there (some) condone abusive behavior to students.

My mom went through the exact same thing with ATT U-Verse. Her reason for cancelling was that it was way too expensive. They bill a month in advance so your bill never looks as cheap as they say it will and it's pretty confusing since they bundle internet, home, and cell phone in the same billing statement. She was told she could cancel at any time. We mailed the equipment back through UPS and switched to Comcast. The next month she was billed about the same amount as you were, for "not returning" equipment. When you call they can tell you anything while not actually fixing the problem. What you get with U-Verse (the channels & DVR) is very impressive, but from the service and billing alone I'd say it's not worth the hassle. It's as if they know customers will cancel due to their billing practices and with a "cancel anytime, no contracts" gimmick they need to break even somewhere. Disgusting. I'd say they're a couple disgruntled customers away from a class action lawsuit.

I believe I know exactly which department the complainer is coming from, as I have the same issue. It's completely true in that regard, but I wouldn't say that it's across the board. In my area, the teachers have almost constant 1 to 1 meetings for several years. It's amazing what some teachers can get away with, but it's usually because others are too afraid of possible retaliation if they speak up. One in particular loves to use leverage he has, getting other students to shut up about certain things by bribing them with possibilities. He is also very, very hypocritical; and he can use what you say against you by finding some weird way to twist it. The mind games are horrendous, sometimes making others feel bad about something he did because they voiced concern. This is all not to mention that all his students are constantly told they're worth nothing, won't amount to anything; and this is beyond a negative positive (false discouragement leading the recipient to want to "prove them wrong"). He'll "test" ideas and manipulate situations for entire semesters or more just to see what it can do socially or mentally to students. He makes friends enemies, and he sits back and laughs. I finally had enough and started twisting it back, and when you bully a bully (especially with the leverage out of the picture, with the student so distressed that it doesn't factor anymore, or maybe the student has leverage over the teacher), it tends to work in your favor.

I think that the abuse is fairly isolated, but it needs to come out into the open. They become confident that nothing will ever happen, and students tend to think that they're alone or that it isn't as bad as it seems. In the long-run, though, it's atrocious.

It's time to group together.

I know several students at this university and absolutely love it.
This "complainer" must have been a "great" student with a " great"attitude
