I recently made a substantial purchase from Uplift Desk and while I was generally satisfied with my order, I was left disappointed and frustrated by their inadequate customer service. Despite spending over $2500 on a customized desk, it was delivered in multiple packages with the wood top being back-ordered for a whole month- something I was aware of when placing the order.

When I decided to upgrade my workspace, I turned to Uplift Desk and I must say, their website was super user-friendly and made the whole process a breeze. I decided to go for the 4 leg V2 Uplift desk and a side table, and I also picked up some accessories. The experience was smooth sailing but unfortunately, things took a slight hiccup when the tabletops failed to arrive.
Much to my disappointment, FedEx claimed they had delivered my package, but there was no sign of the tabletops. That's when I contacted Uplift and to my surprise, Addison D got in touch with me in no time. We patiently waited for FedEx to get it together but to no avail. With no hesitation, Addison went out of their way to send me two new tabletops which arrived in just 2 days!
Addison also personally stayed in touch with me to make sure everything was sorted and the delivery was up to par. The support did not stop there, I had made an error by not looking at the details of the monitor mounts I ordered which unfortunately couldn't withstand the weight of my monitors. I was quite bummed but Tim F was my saving grace! Without hesitation, Tim F provided me with an RMA slip for my return process and even offered a discount on a set of monitor arms that were better suited for the weight of my monitors.
The transparency and level of humanization in the process made the whole process less stressful and Tim F answered all my questions without hesitation. I must say, the customer service Uplift provides is as outstanding as their high-end desks! In a nutshell, I'm thoroughly impressed with Uplift Desk - they have exceeded my expectations and I shall continue to recommend them and use them in the future!

When it comes to purchasing furniture, it can be a nightmare if the product doesn't meet our expectations. Unfortunately, in the case of Uplift Desk, I have experienced significant issues with their customer service, which has left a rather negative impression of the company in my mind.
Several weeks ago, I decided to order a standing desk from Uplift Desk. I was excited to receive my product and was eagerly awaiting its arrival. However, things started to take a downward turn when I decided I needed to make some adjustments to my order the same day I placed it.
I reached out to the company to make the necessary changes, and one of their representatives told me I could return the desk while ordering a new one, so it would arrive more quickly. However, that was the beginning of a rather lengthy and frustrating experience.
Initially, it took many business days to even begin the process of getting my FedEx return labels. I then realized they gave me too few FedEx labels because I had to return three boxes. When I asked for another label, they canceled the two that I had already used to send the previous packages.
To make matters worse, one of the packages was lost by FedEx, and Uplift Desk hasn't been responding to my inquiries about the missing package. It's been almost two weeks since I first contacted them, and I have yet to hear anything concrete.

Review of Uplift Desk Red Cedar Wood L-Shaped Desk: Beautiful but Flawed
Uplift Desk has some great features and stunning designs, particularly the red cedar wood option. Upon receiving my desk, I was blown away by how gorgeous the wood was in person. However, as a soft wood, it is prone to damage from everyday use. Dropping anything heavy on the desk, such as a phone, creates an unsightly dent. Though, depending on taste, some may find this gives the desk character. Assembly of the L-shaped desk was mostly straightforward, but the soft wood requires extra attention and two people to limit potential damage. A single panel desk might be easier in this regard. The connection of the two panels requires a nut that needs to be tightened to join the wood. Unfortunately, the wood being so soft requires an excessive amount of force and the available clearance is tight.
The real trouble I encountered with my Uplift Desk was with the build quality. After just two months of use, the right leg of the return developed a noticeable gap where it joins the wood. Additionally, two screws attaching the long crossbar to the wood fell out and stripped the wood. The stress on the wood from its weight and movement outstrips the joining mechanism and screws provided. These issues exacerbate the E07 error where the desk's leg heights become unbalanced and must be reset. While I did reach out to Uplift Desk support, they were of little help, only offering to send me more screws despite the soft wood's unsuitability.
Overall, I would caution against buying the L-shaped red cedar wood Uplift Desk. The soft wood is vulnerable to denting and damage from everyday use, the build quality is lacking, and support is not helpful in addressing these issues. Should you want to go for a red cedar wood desk, a single panel desk could present a better option, while a harder wood like walnut will perform better long-term.

I opted for the full installation package which was priced at $320, hoping for a seamless and hassle-free experience. However, that was far from what I received. This made it a bit difficult for me as I had three large boxes taking up precious living space while I waited patiently for the delayed components.
After a few months had passed, I decided to take matters into my own hands and install the desk myself, given that the monitor arms were still nowhere in sight. When they finally did arrive, Uplift wanted to charge me an additional $175 to install them, simply because I had already installed the desk. I found this to be quite disingenuous, especially considering that I had already waited three months for the monitor arms to arrive and had three large boxes taking up valuable space in my living area.
In trying to reach a satisfactory solution with Uplift, they would only refund me $30 (which was less than 10% of the original installation cost), which I found to be rather insulting. This experience has left me greatly disappointed and with much regret. I wish I had just returned the entire package as soon as the incomplete delivery arrived in August. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing from Uplift again.
