They are very reliable and so nice to deal with
They are very reliable and so nice to deal with. They always answer my questions and help me out when I need it. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they make sure to explain everything in a way that I can understand. The installation process was smooth and efficient, and they did a great job with the solar panels. I have been using their services for a while now, and I am very happy with the results. The solar panels have been working perfectly and have helped me save a lot of money on my energy bills. I would highly recommend Urban Solar Group, Inc. to anyone looking to switch to solar power. They are the best!
I felt the sales rep Jordan did an excellent job in explaining everything, and was always there along with Mosaic if I had any questions
I felt the sales rep Jordan did an excellent job in explaining everything, and was always there along with Mosaic if I had any questions. The installers were also very professional. We have definitely saved some money.
I've been waiting for months for the installations to be completed
I've been waiting for months for the installations to be completed. The city had to come out multiple times 'cause they didn't install the system properly. I keep emailing them, but they ain't responding to my emails no more. The system ain't connected and ain't working, so now I gotta pay for the system loan and my FPL bill. I'd advise y'all to stay away.
I'm really happy that I bought my solar panels
I'm really happy that I bought my solar panels. The first 2 months after they were installed, I saved $100 each month when I compared it to the same month last year. After paying for my solar payment and electric bill, my electric bill for the past couple of months has only been $10.75. Everyone from sales, installation, and service has been great to work with. There are so many solar companies to choose from, but I think I made the right choice with this one.
Before solar, we had a power bill of 250-450
Before solar, we had a power bill of 250-450. Now we have a solar bill of around 305 AND a power bill of 100-300...so now we are paying MORE! When he showed us the layout of the house and panels they were putting up, it was on all the larger roof surfaces, that is NOT what was installed. I had some reservations before putting on and wanted to do research, but since we signed the application to get information and the inspection to see if our roof would qualify, they said they would sue us if we did not proceed. In hindsight, it may have actually been BETTER to LET THEM SUE US! It may have cost less than having the solar!
Don't get fooled by these scammers
Don't get fooled by these scammers. A nice saleswoman came and promised me a new roof, solar panels, and a new air conditioner. I asked for financing documents, but they refuse to send them. I have nails sticking out of my ceiling, and the roofing company wants an extra $500. They claim they need 5 more sheets of plywood for my 978 sq ft home, making it a total of 7 sheets. When it comes to the solar panels, there is absolutely no communication. *** doesn't return my calls or messages. Then I get a call from ***, claiming to be the finance company. This is news to me since I haven't received any paperwork. I have the solar panels installed, but they're not connected, and I don't want to use Urban Solar. They haven't provided any warranties or anything, except for asking for more money if I want the paperwork. Be careful, this company is a scam.
Urban Solar is a solar company that does everything from designing to installing and servicing solar systems
Urban Solar is a solar company that does everything from designing to installing and servicing solar systems. They approached us in a professional and knowledgeable manner, without being too pushy. They were responsive to my questions and provided detailed information. They gave us a price without any hidden fees. We worked together to figure out how the panels would be placed on our roof. The materials arrived on time, neither too early nor late. We set a schedule and they stuck to it. Now, Urban Solar monitors our panels remotely in case anything goes wrong. It's been almost a year and our electricity bill from FPL in Palm Beach County is now zero.
Be careful of other companies that claim to be solar experts. We came across a few and ended up signing a contract with one that was basically just a sales company. They subcontracted the work and didn't have enough knowledge about design and installation themselves. Eventually, that company cancelled our contract because they couldn't deliver what they promised. They even refused to give us a full refund, even though they were the ones who cancelled. We might have to take them to small claims court.
We got pressured by Urban Solar to sign a contract with a financial company for 25 years
We got pressured by Urban Solar to sign a contract with a financial company for 25 years. Just wanted to warn people. During the Zoom Orientation session, I was told to fill out a form for a home inspection. We didn't read the form because we were talking to the salesperson. He sent the form to my email during the video call. I opened my email and the salesperson told me to click the spaces while we talked. I never read the document. This form was a contract with a Financial Company called Sunnova of Tx. We specifically told the salesperson from Urban Solar that we wanted to take our time to read the contract before making a decision and he said, "sure no problem". The salesperson was very nice and professional, but quickly mentioned that I was signing the contract with a digital signature, which is legal and binding. Unfortunately, I was totally naive and ignorant about this type of signature, so I just clicked the yellow spaces. Just wanted people to be aware of this kind of pressure sales, especially targeted at seniors who are unfamiliar with digital signatures. After spending a lot of money on an overnight letter, Sunnova canceled my contract and I am not worried anymore, but it was not a good experience.
Urban Solar came to my house and said they'd put in a system to save me money on my electric bill
Urban Solar came to my house and said they'd put in a system to save me money on my electric bill. I let them in and showed them my bill. They said a 10 KW system would be good for me. I said to add 2 KW just in case. So, I signed up for a 12 KW system. They sent me all the papers for the system and insurance 'cause it's Tier 2. But when they finally put it in, the inspection failed like three times. I was getting charged by the solar panel company and ***, and the system wasn't working. They said I'd get three months to try it before they charged me. But even after the inspection passed, I was still getting bills and didn't know what was happening. I asked to monitor the system, and guess what? They only put in 20 panels instead of 27 like the contract said. Three of them didn't even work, and all of them only made 250W, not 400 like they said. So, it's like a 5 KW system, not 12 KW. That's a breach of contract. I texted the project manager, but she ignored me. When I called, they just sent me back to her. Even the bank told me to talk to Urban Solar. I've been going back and forth with them, but no solution yet. They better fix this or I'll have to decide what to do.
If you're thinkin' 'bout gettin' solar panels for your home or biz, look no further!
If you're thinkin' 'bout gettin' solar panels for your home or biz, look no further! We did all the research for ya! After decidin' to slap some solar panels on my old Florida crib from the 50s, my son and I spent MONTHS diggin' into the local solar panel companies. We narrowed it down to the top five and had some intense meetin's with 'em, both online and in person. After doin' even more research (even checkin' court records and the ComplaintsBoard.com), we finally settled on Urban Solar. They not only had the best financin' terms and interest rate, but we were super impressed with Andy Hopta, our main contact. Andy was crazy thorough and honest, and he designed the perfect setup for my home. Plus, he's just a great guy to deal with. Andy oversaw the whole installation process and was always there to answer our many questions. The whole Urban Solar crew was amazin' - from the hard-workin' installers to the VP of Operations, Rhiannon Eslahi, who personally guided us through everything and even gave us her cell number! Seriously, that kinda customer service is rare these days. We couldn't be happier with our solar system, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. The panels have only been up for two months and we're already seein' major savings (my FPL bill this month is only $10!). We're also pumpin' out tons of energy to the grid and doin' our part to fight climate change. And let's not forget the sweet tax credit we got - if you're thinkin' 'bout gettin' panels, do it soon before they scrap "net metering"! Just tell Andy you saw this review and he'll hook me up with a cookie!

We've been trying to get our contract reviewed since NRGgreen went under and urban air took over
We've been trying to get our contract reviewed since NRGgreen went under and urban air took over. We were promised a specific amount per month. However, when the customer service agent read our contract, they said there was a problem and needed to involve their boss. Since then, we haven't heard back and they won't return our calls with any answers. It feels like a scam. We're supposed to receive funds for the thousands we haven't saved as promised. We're paying a loan and a full FPL bill without any savings. It's been three years and counting.
Urban Solar Group, Inc
Urban Solar Group, Inc. put up my panels and they went live in August 2022. They done goofed and installed the panels wrong, so the company had to come back in October 2022 to fix the problem. The whole shebang cost me 40 grand. Since they were put up, my bills have been 440 bucks, 200 bucks, and 140 bucks, which ain't too hot. Supposedly, the system was supposed to cover around 80% of my electric bill, but it only covers about a third. Every time I call, some answering service picks up instead of an actual employee. They've been super unresponsive and don't seem to care. It's like pulling teeth to get them to call you back. The Enphase app keeps giving me an error message, saying the system ain't producing enough for the past few days. I feel totally scammed by these guys.
I had a really bad experience with Urban Solar Group, Inc
I had a really bad experience with Urban Solar Group, Inc. I signed a contract with them seven months ago, and after waiting for six months, they finally installed my system. They told me that the final inspection was done and everything was complete, so I signed the final finance agreement. But now, my system is not connected and I have received the first bill from the financial institution, Mosaic. I've been trying to reach out to them through phone and email, but they haven't responded at all. It's really frustrating.
On top of that, they advertise a referral commission of $500 for each person who signs up and installs a new solar system with them. I actually referred five people, and three of them signed up and had their systems installed almost three months ago. But I haven't received the referral fee or even a simple thank you from them. It's really disappointing. I regret doing business with this company.

I bought a solar system from Urban Solar Group, Inc
I bought a solar system from Urban Solar Group, Inc. that was supposed to generate 110% of my energy usage. The salesman looked at my power bills to figure out the right system. It's been 11 months and I still haven't produced enough energy to cover my utilities bill. I tried to contact Urban Solar many times, but no luck. Another solar company checked the work and told me that I was sold a 70% effective system, which is common with companies like Urban Solar. They said I need to spend $30k on more panels to get the results I want. This has caused financial problems because I have to pay $170 a month for solar and $50-$120 a month to FPL. If I hire another company to add more panels, my bills will be $100 higher than before. I know the contracts probably protect Urban Solar's lying salesmen, but I still feel like I was cheated in a dishonest way.
I've been texting my go-to person for problems
I've been texting my go-to person for problems. I've sent multiple texts asking for someone to come check the panels 'cause they ain't working right. Another salesperson came by to check on us and when he looked at the app, he said the panels didn't seem to be working right. I kept texting *** asking when someone's coming out. Her last response on 10/25 was that she's checking availability. I haven't heard anything. I reached out on Friday and she hasn't responded at all. My first contact with her about this issue was on 10/19/22. She didn't tell me to follow up with anyone, just said she wouldn't leave us with equipment that ain't working. All I want is for the panels to work like I was told they would. I haven't seen the product produce energy for my home like I was led to believe. On average, we're only at about 30% energy efficiency.
We hired Urban Solar to put in a solar system on our house
We hired Urban Solar to put in a solar system on our house. We got quotes in December and things went along at a normal pace for this kind of installation. The installation went well, but a few roof tiles got cracked and had to be fixed. They also made a lot of changes to the circuit panel boxes outside and inside our garage. We had an electrician wire a breaker and an isolation switch in the outside box so we could use our generator without sending power back to the grid. The Urban Solar team changed the wiring and didn't tell us the right way to use the generator. It's really important to know how to do it safely so we don't hurt anyone when the grid comes back on. We asked our Project Manager, *** about the new protocol and when he would come to show us in person. But he's been impossible to reach. We've left him lots of messages to finish the job, but he rarely calls back and never keeps his promises. I guess he must be related to one of the bosses because that's the only reason he still has a job. He's really ruining the good work that everyone else at Urban Solar does. So now we're just hoping that if we lose power, it happens during the day.
From day one, we've had problems with Urban Solar Group, Inc
From day one, we've had problems with Urban Solar Group, Inc. The installation process was a mess, and the system still hasn't been completed. It's not working properly either. I've been trying to get someone to call me back, but it's been impossible. They keep giving me excuses for why they can't come. They said they were waiting on a warranty part, which every system should have from the date of installation. Don't they have any extras? I left a review on LinkedIn, and the owner said someone would contact me ASAP. After a month, I commented again that I still hadn't received a call, and suddenly I got a call back. However, the lady who called is no longer working there. The original person we dealt with is also gone. The system was installed on June 30, but they didn't put the necessary box to send information for the majority of panels on the second building until August 2022. And even now, it's still not right. We can't get the same technician to come and finish the job after he diagnosed the problems. The next technician who came had no idea what he was supposed to do. The service manager said there's a part on order and the technician would be here on Tuesday. But when the technician showed up, he had no clue why he was there. I had to explain everything to him from the beginning. I asked if he had the part that his manager was supposed to send, but he knew nothing about it. He did find out that the previous technicians messed up some wiring. However, the system still isn't reading properly. They're supposed to monitor it 24/7, but they never call me to let me know what I should do on my end to try and fix the reading. I always have to call them. I've gone four months without any help, just a bunch of lies. I'm stuck paying a loan payment and an electric bill. They promised to cover the first few months until the system built up credits, but I haven't seen a single penny from them. I sent them the bills, but they haven't refunded me. It's been two months, and the total is over $650. And that's not even counting the additional costs because the system doesn't read it correctly or give the proper production to be imported to FPL.
I contracted with Urban Solar to have 2 solar arrays with 27 panels installed on my roof
I contracted with Urban Solar to have 2 solar arrays with 27 panels installed on my roof. They were installed and activated in August. Using their monitoring capability, provided by *** I found out that one of the panels was performing 33% below the others. I noticed this on 5/24/2022 and saw that the drop started in February 2022 and continued every month since then. I contacted Urban Solar to report this issue, but all I got was an auto-generated response saying they would respond within 48 hours. On 6/22/2022, I asked for a response to my request for assistance on 5/24/2022. I also mentioned that there were no shade problems for my southern facing roof installation. Their response was that it was probably my pool screen causing the issue. I replied on 8/2/2022, explaining that the pool screen is not in the path of the sun to the roof and that all the surrounding panels were performing normally (33% higher). On 9/5/2022, I contacted Enphase, who monitors the panels, and they responded in a more timely manner. They said they would be sending a replacement part to my address. I let them know on 9/17/2022 that I had received the part and assumed they would contact an installer. On 10/6/2022, I asked Enphase who the installer was and who should be contacting them. They told me it would be Urban Solar and gave me an email address. I sent an email to that address on 10/7/2022. On 10/20/2022, I asked for an update, but all I got was an auto-generated response saying they would respond within 48 hours. On November 1st, I sent another email to inform them that this was my last attempt to get my part installed and my performance within contracted specifications. After that, I would be asking the ComplaintsBoard.com for help. I have not received any response.
My solar panels and batteries were supposed to be installed on September 23rd and 24th, 2022
My solar panels and batteries were supposed to be installed on September 23rd and 24th, 2022. They told me that supplies would be dropped off 1-3 days before the job. On September 22nd, I called my project manager who stated the job will not happen at this time as they don't have solar panels. So they scheduled me on September 7th and they did not know this 2 weeks prior, wasted two days sitting at home for no reason. The following Monday, they rescheduled it for October 3rd and 4th, only to be called the morning of October 3rd that they would not be coming because the contractors have other work to do. I took two days off work, no work is done. They called on the day of October 3rd and told me I can have them come out on October 14th and 15th. Well, no one showed up on the 14th, another wasted day off. On the 15th of October, the people that install the batteries showed up at 9:01am but they told me the roofers refuse to come out today. The batteries got installed but they could do no more work because the roofers for the panels never showed up to do their job. So they told me on October 15th the roofers will be out early in the morning, but they didn't show up until 10:30. They worked 2 hours and took a 2-hour lunch. They did not finish then, came back the following day to finish the installation. It's also nice that the worker, which I caught on camera, blew his nose on my floor in the garage. On Friday, October 28th, we had the city inspector and Urban Solar personnel. The city passed inspection, but the Urban Solar crew member told me that something was not hooked up right. So now, on to today, Wednesday, November 2nd. Urban Solar was supposed to fix the problem and at 7:40am, they called me saying they're not coming today because they are busy. Someone will be here on Saturday as my husband is taking that day off too. I was told to expect a 20% discount by the VP of sales. I really, really feel at times they are doing this because we are gay, a married gay couple. Enphase had to fix Urban Solar's mistake and finally, it works as of 11/20/22.
We bought panels and 3 Tesla powerwalls from Urban Solar Group, Inc
We bought panels and 3 Tesla powerwalls from Urban Solar Group, Inc. in September . The panels were installed in December , which was great because it was done quickly before the year ended. However, we still haven't received the powerwalls. The first project manager was fantastic and kept me informed throughout the process. In January , I was told that my 3 powerwalls were on their way and scheduled for installation on May 14. We signed the paperwork in April for the powerwall location. In March, we got a new project manager because the first one got promoted. Unfortunately, the new project manager never emailed me once. Then, on April 26, we received the third powerwall. The new project manager did reach out and on my actual installation date of May 14, she informed me that they had no idea when the batteries would be shipped. We tried to switch to enphase batteries since they were available, hoping they would honor our deal. However, they refused because Tesla raised their prices, and as a result, they also raised the price of the enphase 10 batteries. We were trying to get the batteries before hurricane season, but they were just sitting in the warehouse. The current project manager would give me weekly updates, but it changed to monthly updates. The last email I received from her was in March 2022 with the same message. I emailed her on May 9, 2022, to find out what was happening with the batteries, and she responded on May 20 with the same response of not knowing. The lack of transparency has been disappointing. We are two veterans who work serving our fellow veterans. Interestingly, we are in the same branch as the VP of Sales at Urban Solar Group, Inc. We have been trying since 2021 to get the enphase 10 batteries, but due to the price increase, he refuses to provide them. I spoke with someone else who mentioned that the enphase 10 battery has always been more expensive than Tesla, which is a blatant lie. I asked to speak with someone higher up, and the person I spoke with said they would make it happen when we spoke on May 23. Now, we are approaching hurricane season again, and all we want are our batteries.
We had a lot of issues since we agreed to get the solar panels installed over a year ago
We had a lot of issues since we agreed to get the solar panels installed over a year ago. First, the installation got delayed, and then the installers forgot to bring some parts. On top of that, we had problems with billing. We had to pay double bills for many months without getting any solar credit. Finally, the panels were installed, and they seem to be working fine. In fact, they are producing more energy than we expected. But now we have a new problem. Our sales representative promised us enough panels to cover our average monthly consumption. We understood that we would still have to pay a monthly connection fee to JEA, our electric company. However, most of our bill would be covered by the energy produced by our solar panels. Unfortunately, this is not happening. I spoke to someone from the service department who tried to explain the bills and the metering to me. But they admitted that what we were told about our solar panels covering our consumption was not accurate. I also spoke to one of the project managers. The sales representative, the sales manager, and the operations manager have all left the company. On our most recent electric bill, we only received a $12 credit for our solar production. This is not what we agreed to when we signed the contract and got the solar panels installed. I would like to know what you can do to ensure that our solar production is fully applied to our electric bill. If not, I would like to cancel the contract and have the solar panels removed. It's not feasible for me to pay a full electric bill in addition to the solar loan. I would not have agreed to this contract if I had known that this is how the solar production and consumption actually work between Urban Solar and the electric company.
