On Oct 11th 2023 I deposited a check for $9500.00 into the ATM depost slot at the Camdenton MO branch. I did this because your bank hours are imposible for any person with a job to get to the bank before they close and now your not even open on weekends. I was waiting for this check to clear for the sale of my camper. This money was very important to be gotten to in a timely manner. I watched my account for the next few days, and it appeared as if the check had cleared and was added to my available funds. So, i planned accordingly and sold the camper. the next day the money was subtracted from my account with no reason given. It was a weekend so of course your bank was not open. I called customer service, and they told me that I had not endorsed the check at the time of the deposit. I said OK I will come in and endorse the check. They told me that when I deposit a check in the ATM US bank does not actually get that check because it is an outside agency that handles the ATM transactions. I was informed that a legal copy of the check would be mailed to me, and I could bring it to any branch and take it inside and endorse and deposit the copy (If i could actually get to a bank before they close) This took place on OT 11th 2023 and it is now OCT 23rd and I still have not received the check in the mail to deposit it. I applied for a lost title with the DMV on the same day as this and have already received the title. This process is ridicules, I should have received a call or an email or at least be able to retrieve the check before I have to wait two weeks to deposit my money. If this check does not clear once I am actually ready to deposit it I will be changing banks! I have been a US bank customer since you were Mercantile bank and I have a substantial amount of money with you, but this is unacceptable customer service. i even talked to the branch manager at Camdenton and explained my situation and I was told that's just the way it works.
Desired outcome: I need my Money!
