On Monday (3/21) afternoon I spoke with Mr. Alegbe about getting a loan. I told him I was looking to purchase an antique vehicle and understood. He said it would be a "Personal Loan."
I provided him my personal ID and as he was inputting my information he informed me I had a checking account at Wells Fargo. I told him I had no account with Wells Farge. Come to conclusion it was a Fraud case. They locked the account. This took several minutes to get that taken care of.
Mr. Alegbe tells me that "The Loan has been approved." Informs me they just need a few documents (W-2, pay stub, etc).
I go home and contact the Fraud Dept. about the checking account.
Tuesday I provide Mr. Alegbe with the W-2. On Wednesday my pay stub was given to Mr. Alegbe and he said he would call me later that day or Thursday when the loan approval was made.
Thursday afternoon I go to the bank and the Loan Officer was not there. I speak with Ms. White and she tells me of a 72 hour freeze on all loans.
Mr. Taiwo Alegbe told a bold face lie.
You let someone go on-line and open a checking account under my name. The address used was one that I had when I took out a loan with Wells Fargo. Sounds like an employee took my information from that loan and set up the account.
I do not wish to do business with such a terrible company. I will dog cuss Wells Fargo at every opportunity. BBB and any and every other outlet will know of our dealings. I'm miffed to say the least. I'll wait to see the results from the complaint.
