I filed a claim for unauthorized charges on my account in Sept. 2023 and I received emails from wells Fargo stating that they received my inquiry. 16 emails stating they received my Inquiry which most of them were denied as not fraudulent. This cost me upwards of $800 that wells Fargo would not credit me for. I called wells Fargo fraud department and asked for a reason for the denial of my claim and they said I have the right to receive a full explanation of why the claim was denied and that one would be mailed to me but I never received any explanation. I requested this multiple times and was told the same thing I would receive the explanation in the mail but never have.
I received emails from wells Fargo on 2824, 22024, 3324 and on 32624 saying there was unusual activity on my account so I checked my account and I found unauthorized charges again so I filed a claim on 41924 the claim was denied even after the warnings, I appealed the denial on 52824 to their small business escalation team and again it was denied, I appealed again on 6724 and once again my claim was denied, costing me approx. $800. I asked for an explanation which I have the right to receive and once again received nothing.
I have been with wells Fargo since 2006, I had a business account with them all this time. In the past 5 years I have been charged almost $1900 in overdraft fees. I told them many times I wanted to opt out and did not want them to pay anything if I don't have the money in my account and yet $1900 in overdraft fees in 5 years. 19 overdraft fees just in 2024 when I was wrongfully fired and had to fight just to get unemployment and I'm still unemployed. That is $665 dollars I have been charged in 2024 alone. On 10424 and on 10524 I received 2 emails one each day stating my account was below zero. On 10824 I received an email stating my account had been closed. No phone calls, no warnings, no nothing, but 1 email saying my account has been closed. After 18+ years of doing. Business with wells Fargo and all the fees I paid them this is what I get, this is how they treat me after 18+ years of loyalty? To top it off I tried logging in to my online banking cause I read that you have access for 90 days after your account has been closed. I needed some statements for tax purposes and of course I couldnt log in and it's only been over a month. So they have all my banking info 18 years and I can't access it. I called customer service and was told I can request whatever tax year I need and they will send it by email to me but it takes 4 hours. I received the email stating the documents I requested were now available so I clicked on the link and it says to login to view them? Well if I could login to begin with I wouldn't have had to request them. So now I need to call again to see my personal info that is for my records not theirs. So as soon as I wouldn't keep funding my account so that wells Fargo could keep charging me $35 for overdraft fees they closed my account and won't even give me access to my data. Is this professional or what?
Claimed loss: $1600 in claims$1900 in overdraft fees just in last 5 years. 19 of which were in 2024. All of them at $35 each. No care in the world that I'm unemployed and trying just to survive
Desired outcome: The 2 claims denied at approx. $1600 totalplus all the $35 overdraft charges for the last 5 years which is just under $1900.
