refinance scam
About December, 2009 I began a load modification process with Wells Fargo. For the next 10 months I was requested to send documents to support my account information. During those 10 months I dealt with Wells Fargo Reps in California, Minnesota, Charlotte, N.C., Wisconsin and others places I can't recall. Got numerous requests for more info and when I informed them the info they were requesting had already been submitted they somehow found the data and we completed our conversation. Being a veteran I asked for any leverage that would help my situation. I was told being a Veteran carried no weight with this modification because the modification was not dictated by govt. regs. After 10 months of paying a lesser amount of 350.00 they told me I did not meet the Federal Guidelines on income. I made $25.00 a week too much. Then I was told I owed them $3, 500.00 and my payment would revert to 880.00 per month. Or they could try to enroll me in another program. After a couple of months I received an application for this new program. They also included a repayment schedule for the next 30 years. After 8 years on this program I would again be paying around 880.00 per month. They also added $8, 000.00 to my mortgage. Before the modification process I owed about $120, 000.00 and after I owed $128, 000.00. I could not come up with the additional 3, 500.00 so to keep my house I had to accept and sign the new agreement. The reason I call it a scam is because they were aware of my income from day one. Then 10 months later and 3, 500 more in debt they said my income (according to Federal Guidelines) was too high. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Respectfully, Gary Tinsley

loan disapproval
I called ASC to apply for a home loan refinancing on 2/21/13, and I was referred to this guy named Jeff(loan specialist?). After he found out that I had a foreclosure 2 years ago, he suddenly told me that my loan will not be approve(even though no documents have been filled out/submitted for consideration, nor credit check) and refused to draw the loan documents. How can they based their decision from what they hear without any written proof? I bought 2 cars after I foreclosed 2 houses and one of the loan was from WELLS FARGO BANK, ASC's mother. All I want to do is lower my payment to avoid foreclosure. But I guessed the banks like to collect properties and payments after they sucked you into their dirty programs. They should be more accomodating in terms of loan qualification especially for those people with existing loans from their institutions that want to save their homes. If they qualify me for a loan with higher interest and payment before, how come they cannot qualify me for a refinancing that will lower my monthly payment? What's hap with that? There something wrong with the system.

insurance claim
We had a fire in one of our rental properties on November 6, 2012 today is February 21, 2013 and we still have not received our funds for the repairs. Wells Fargo has this policy that if your insurance claim check is over $15, 000 they must keep the check and issue it in one third intervals. Well, we sent them our insurance check and have been waiting to receive paperwork to get the process started. The first lady said she would be faxing it within 24 hours and still have not received the package. The second lady said said she would FedEx next day air it but I would not get it until Tuesday. Today is Thursday I do not understand how she thinks 5 days later is next day air. I still do not understand why they should be overseers of insurance money that we have paid the premiums for (not in escrow). I do understand if they have to be overseers the process would be sooner than having to wait 6 months to get your first check to pay your contractors.

fraudulent charge handling
We had 2 fraudulent charges show up on our checking account today. Called Wells Fargo and tried to report them. One for $80 and a second for about $29. They denied our claim saying that there was no indication of fraudulent activity. We said that we are reporting this as fraud. We are in San Diego and one charge was listed as Phoenix, AZ. No recourse for us. The charges aren't even "posted". They are "pending" at this point. They say they can't reverse the charges until they are "posted" which they say can take up to 10 days. And, during that time the amounts can change. They can't even freeze the amount. No help at all. Their reps wouldn't even give our their full names. And "Sam" said his managers wouldn't talk to me either -- "they manage people, not answer phones." Wells Fargo has lost us as customers forever. Worst experience ever!

Every bank works the same way. Until a charge posts and clears they can do nothing. Exactly how did someone get your bank card?
Change banks. I hated Wells Fargo! They are horrible!
harassment
After my Grandmother passed away, our family was told to "continue making the payments on her car" . We offered her Death Certificate and we were told it was not needed. A year passed and our family received a phone call from a Wells Fargo Dealer Services Representative that stated the payment was 5 days late and they were going to repossess the car. After providing proof of payment, we were then told we were months behind in payments, to which we had to provide proof that payments were sent Western Union. We were told to "pay the past due balance to hold of repossession proceedings". When we asked for their promise in writing, they would not provide us anything. They continued badgering us daily, several times a day, for payments. When we provided them proof of all past payments (three years worth), they advised us that procedings were already in effect that if we did not pay off the entire balance of the vehicle, they were repossessing it.
The representative was not compassionate, would not give anything in writing and threatened legal actions on us. Mind you, none of us were secodary to my Grandmothers loan, we werent even listed as references!
Now Wells Fargo Dealer Services is having their "investigator" contact me at work! Harassing my boss and asking personal questions. It is to the point, I have now had to hire an attorney! I would avoid doing any business with these people.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wells Fargo has multiple times taken the liberty to contact my workplace and the references from my original loan (a former girlfriend, my family, and a friend) if I am a couple days behind on my payments. I have made efforts to be communicative with them, and what do I get in return? Being put on hold and having a gruff woman answer and say "Repo Department." Right. Repo department. After like two weeks.
These guys are sociopaths and lawbreakers, plain and simple. According to the FTC website:
"If an attorney is representing you about the debt, the debt collector must contact the attorney, rather than you. If you don’t have an attorney, a collector may contact other people – but only to find out your address, your home phone number, and where you work. Collectors usually are prohibited from contacting third parties more than once. Other than to obtain this location information about you, a debt collector generally is not permitted to discuss your debt with anyone other than you, your spouse, or your attorney."
I guess that no one informed them that it's illegal to harass their customers' friends, coworkers, and family (after THEY have told them to stop calling them), and go out of their way to humiliate you by telling those people who they are, and that you "have missed a lot of payments and they are going to pursue litigation." WHEN YOU HAVE SCHEDULED PAYMENTS NONETHELESS. I'm four years into this loan and they've gotten every payment out of me. If it's been late, I haven't tried to argue late fees; I've apologized; you try to be up-front and respectful, and this is how you are treated.
I am sick and tired of this, and I am taking this to litigation myself. I don't care if I lose a few grand on it, I am absolutely sick of these antisocial thugs and will gladly do so on principle, since I just got a pay raise.
in order for a company to stop calling you and contactin gyou you need to submit a cease and desist letter.
My man!
Next time, record the conversations and post names.
bank fees
We have a Premier Banking account with Wells Fargo (which purportedly means that we are supposed to have premier level service). Several months ago, my husband noted that we keep having a recurring monthly service fee of $30 pop up on our account. He contacted WF twice: once by phone, and once in person at our local branch. Each time, he was reassured that the "technical glitch" that ensures we are not charged a service fee, would be corrected. I logged online today, to see that we had been charged a total of $300 in fees. As a result of our various contacts with WF, $180 had been credited back, but that still leaves $120 left uncredited. According to WF, those fees cannot be reimbursed, because we did contact them within a 90-day period. This, while admitting that they were aware of the "issue" whereby our account was not coded as a "fee free" account. Unbelievable.
My wife went ahead and tried to close her personal and savings accounts due to the recent complaints that we have incurred over the last few days with Wells Fargo.
She called and asked them to stop all banking activity on both her accounts. She got a confirmation # and the person’s name that they would.
The next day, she got charged a total of $57.00 in fees ranging from over the limit, late and daily late fees. She closed the account; they keep it open for two more days! Why?
We went down there together and talked to the manager on duty, (Lorenzo I believe) and he told us that yes, while we have a confirmation, it was no good until we actually closed it. what?
This conversation lasted 20 minutes and all he would do was take one $5.00 fee off, nothing else. We paid the $57.00 in charges and got him to give us another zero balance statement and close the account. We thought!
He then said, oh, by the way, I can't close your account until tomorrow. When we asked why, he said he doesn’t have the ability right now but call him tomorrow around 10am in the morning when he gets into work and he will close it then. But until then, any charges that happen, we are responsible for!
What?
What am I missing here?
Whatever happened to the customer always being right? Ok, maybe not always but I am noticing a pattern here with Wells Fargo.
I guess they no longer need business from customers and they have gone into a new business that they are not telling us about!
WELL, MY FAMILY IS DONE WITH THEM!
It's bad enough that these big banks have caused the biggest financial meltdown of our recent times, now they have the audacity (after taking money for bailouts) to charge us checking account fees. I called Wells Fargo yesterday to ask if I will be charged the new $7 fee after reminding them that I have two other separate accounts plus a mortgage and they flat out said they can't help me and I will be charged to maintain that specific account with the bank. This is outrageous and surprised that the banks do not learn their lesson. After the outrage caused by BofA fees last year, Wells Fargo thinks that customers are going to let this go. I encourage all those who bank with Wells Fargo to call the bank [protected]) and let them know that know they cannot bully us around.
wouldn't refinance my home when I had excellant credit ad income
I am a Dog Breeder and I went through a Divorce in 2007/2008. I had sold off all but 7 of my dogs between 2005 & 2007 per my husband's pressures "to head South for the Winter". Then the Divorce happened which left me only with these 7 Dogs to "start up with" and to build my Business "back up again" from scratch, from what was once a well established Kennel. In the Divorce, "if" I wanted the house "and" the Kennels, the "choice" was to also take $250, 000 in Bills which included a 1st and 2nd Mortgage with Wells Fargo Bank. But, I had visions of putting both Mortgages into one and with a "lower" Interest Rate. Right now I am paying 5.75% on the 1st Mortgage and 8.75 % on the 2nd Home Equity Mortgage. Finally in 2009 and in 2010 I had made $32, 000 each year on my Dog sales, so that meant I "could show Income for the past 2 years.. And my Credit Rating was 751 and my Payment Records (including both Wells Fargo Mortgages)...was IMPECCABLE ! I HAVE "NEVER" BEEN LATE ON "ANY" OF MY BILLS..."FOR THE PAST 33YEARS "...NEVER !
I tried 3 times from 2009 by calling Wells Fargo Mortgage when the HARP pogram came out. Twice in 2009 and once in 2010 when they came back, said it was extended, and I was getting all kinds of letters from Wells Fargo Bank in my monthly Statements saying they would go 125 % of the value of your home...etc, etc, etc. But they would only go on the 1st Mortgage. Refinancing the 2nd Mortgage "was Cash Back" they said and they wouldn't do it that way. By that time my Property Value had gone down like everyone else's, but if they would go the 125 % then "why" couldn't I refinance BOTH of those Loans..."with my Exellant Credit record and my Income of $47, 500 from my Dogs Sales and Social Security" and they wouldn't do a Refinance for me ? ...but here is the Corker...read on:
I was always bugged by the local Wells Fargo Bank if I went and paid my House payments at the local Wells Fargo Bank. I told them I "had already "tried" 3 times with no luck because I needed to refinance BOTh Mortgage loans, not just one...I got a "persistant" Bank Manager ad she emailed the local Wells Fargo Mortgage Office ad the ext thing I know, I am meeting a Wells Fargo representative at this local Wells Fargo Bank, she tells me I "SHOULD" definitely qualify for the $214, 000 Loan she was requesting for me...and a week later she Fed-exed the Loan Papers to me and they even had a "Loan Number" at the top...the Loan would pay off BOTH my 1st and 2nd Mortgages AND "ALL" the Bills my husband's Attorney dumped on me !
THEN...a few days later this Ashley calls me...and she tells me "THEY won't okay the Refinancing" ! I asked her "Why" ?...she said "she didn't know"...that was September 2011 that all of this last stuff happened...I never DID find out WHY my Loan was refused !...UNTIL last month that is ...January 2013 !
A woman Puppy Buyer had bugged me to call this Banker I guess he was, "about Refinancing my home...I told her "I had already "tried FOUR times with Wells Fargo Mortgage and I wasn't going to "try" again!...she asked me again a few months later "if I had contacted the name of the man she had given me who did the Refinancing on "her" home...I said No and just passed it off, "because now, due to Wells Fargo Mortgage NOT helpig me out..." I finally had to File a Bankruptcy".
I told the Banker or whoever he was that "I was in a Bankruptcy now" and no one is going to "give me Credit NOW" ...including "his" Company ! He asked WHY Wells Fargo Mortgage "turned me down" ?...I said "I wasn't told WHY by Ashley"...he said "They HAVE to tell you WHY"...I said, "well she didn't !"...you didn't get a letter saying why ?...I said Nope !...it took him a week to call me back but here is what he found out:
Evidently the Wells Fargo Representative who took all of my Income Tax Returns AND Credit Information...did NOT send it off to a Underwriter to review...Those Loan Papers "STAYED IN ASHLEY'S OFFICE" evidently...but here is another "Corker"...te Banker said that the REASON the Loan was NOT processed...IS BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER (ME)..."WITHDREW" THE LOAN APPLICATION !...I NEVER WITHDREW THAT LOAN APPLICATION !
The ONLY person who could have gotte this type of information on a Laon Application...was "Another" Banker or Loan Officer evidently...because "I" sure was NEVER told WHY, with EXCELLANT CREDIT RATING AND INCOME...I was turned down !
negligance
My husband and I file chapter 13 bankruptcy with the Wachovia as the lender on our truck. When big bad Wells Fargo Dealer Services bought out our loan the reported for 2 or more years 90+days late, when they have received monthly payments from my trustees office. When to address the situation they advise could take 30 or more days. The companies laziness has tank mine and my husbands credit. Now we have to put our lives on hold for 6 or more months to move on in our lives. Wells Fargo are laziness money grubbing, and full of people within the company that sit a desk and collect a paycheck to do nothing and ruin peoples lives...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
"The companies laziness has tank mine and my husbands credit". I'm guessing your filing Chapter 13 had more to do with this than Wells Fargo/Wachovia did...
Opened an account at Wells Fargo and was hacked in two days! Still fixing this crap with this bank.

deadbeat dad walt hommerding
Walt, wally, wallace j hommerding of irvine, newport beach, orange county is a deadbeat dad!
Walt professes to be have integrity however outright defrauds and misleads the general public in orange county and several other states that he is registered in for wealth planning.
Walt donates thousands of dollars to his local charities to glorify his fake public image to mislead his account clients to believe he is an upstanding citizen. Walt further lives a life of high standards while refusing to pay his child support unless he is dragged into court for contempt and federal felony criminal non support. Walt brags that he has the local police in irvine in his back pocket and that the da will not pursue prosecuting him because an ex employee in the da's office now works for wells fargo and will help walt out.
Walt pretends to have ethics and lied on his recent background check with wells fargo advisors and also lied to his compliance officer about the status of a report of the stolen college fund of his son's.
The compliance officer had a duty to respond, had a duty to report to finra but failed to do so based on male bonding and male misoginism, but moreso based on walt's ability to pathologically lie to absolutely everyone about the truth of these findings.
If you have an account with walt, close it. Do not let this sick delusional deranged ### build his shallow materialistic life using any proceeds of profit.
You can block the deadbeat dad who refuses to pay his support by compromising the quality of his own lifestyle.
The sec has received a complaint, finra, human rights. The us justice department to pursue a class d federal felony conviction under the deadbeat parents punishment act, the ombudsman at oc child support services bbb and also wells fargo in st. Louis.
If you have concerns about walt's character, be certain that while he manages your childrens college fund, he failed to provide for his own little boy his entire life and stole his own son's college fund.
Walt is married to a top thief [censored] who wears a 5 carot diamond ring knowing full well that walt owed the money before she partnered in this unconscienable crime.
These people jennifer lynn cummings hommerding and walt hommerding and their daughter with a changed surname st. James are top fraud artists and pure delusional freaks of society who try to worm their way into the high society of the wealthy by donating large amounts of money while being a dead beat dad.
In the name of fraud in the name of integrity, report to mr. Dan lunedan of wells fargo advisors in st. Louis.
Tsk tsk tsk to the top [censored] jennifer who condones this behaviour. A mother of the lowest form and disgusting disregard for stealing child support that does not belong to herself.
Walt has a son whom he has victimized by his wilfull withholding of child support for the 18 years that was due payable.
auto pay credit card overdraft fees
I own a small business with several employees who I provide company credit cards to. To keep my card minimums paid I use the Wells Fargo auto pay transfer to withdraw funds from my main account and pay the credit cards. The cards are issued under the same account as a line of credit. Keep in mind the cards and the account are for the same company using Wells Fargo for both. These are not personal credit cards. Today, wondering why my account balance was so far off from my books I discovered that Wells Fargo charged me $35 for each auto pay on my checking account and $29 on my employee credit cards because the auto pay couldn't process. These are auto transfers, not written checks or pay outs to other institutions or entities, These are transfers within the same company account. How utterly unethical can they be? $65 charge per card for a $25 transfer that can't process?
No wonder these banks are making record profits...they're flagrantly ripping people off. On a side note they also charge my employees $7 to cash a payroll check taken to my branch drawn on my account?!?!? Right, let's bail them out some more with more billions. Ridiculous...If I didn't have so much wrapped up in to Wells Fargo I would move all of my accounts immediately.
Apparently the person that commented doesn't know how comprehend English.
The credit cards had plenty of credit available. There isn't a charge for a service I asked for. The employees are trying to cash a payroll check at out bank written on our account and being charged $7 by the bank to get their money.
To simplify it for him/her it would be the same as if you had setup an automatic transfer from your checking to your savings every month of $100. If for some reason your checking was too low to transfer the bank charged you $35 on your checking and $29 on your savings for a returned item. I'm not using a electronic check payment system, it's a transfer.

Nothing but hassles! They froze my account for an unnecessarily long period after a formal release was issued to them. Their free checking is not free. I haven't really paid close attention to my account, however, I found that they are charging me 5.o0 per month for Add on something! It's for free checks and free money orders and free cashiers checks. I never use money orders or cashiers check, and only write about 15 checks per month. Since they issued me 250 checks when I started, let me see, that's over 10 years of checks. I'm not going to use $60 dollars per year (5$ per month for one year)worth of either checks, money orders or cashier checks. In 10 years, that's $600. I could buy a lot of checks for that amount. I asked them to remove this "feature" from my account. They did and immediately, they charged me $5 dollars for the next month since I canceled at the beginning of the period.
How can they be doing so bad on the Stock Market if they keep steeling their customer's money...
Wells Fargo charged me $12.50 to move $50 from my savings to my checking even though they are linked for overdraft protection. The account used to be a Wachovia account, not that they were saints, and I was never charged for this. When I called to ask about it, I was laughed off the phone when I asked if my business was worth losing over a $12.50 BS fee. I am switching to a nonprofit credit union and saying good bye to greedy banks.
Don't open a checking account at Wells Fargo. If you fall on hard times they reorder transactions so that the highest transactions are first to maximize the overdraft fees that will charge you. We had $490 in overdraft fees in one day. They would not refund any of the fees. We had been selling stuff on eBay to buy food to eat. How can a company justify taking $490 to loan us $50 for less than 8 hours! If I worked for Wells Fargo I would be ashamed to go to work. The make their money on the backs of struggling families. Search “f*uck wells fargo” (use the quotes and spell the f word right) on Google and see how many times this phrase comes up! No bank even comes close to the number (20, 800) as Wells Fargo.
Make that I only writer 15 checks per year!
unprofessional customer service
This complaint is against Tonya, Account Manager, and her Supervisor (name unknown) with Wells Fargo Dealer Services. Tonya is so harrassing and unprofessional in her approach to customers it is just astounding. She threatens her callers and really needs to find a new job where she can be rude to customers. When I asked to speak with a Supervisor, the Supervisor was just as rude and refused to do anything to review my complaint. I reported this to the BBB but am seeking other resources to file a complaint with Wells Fargo. Beware of the WF customer service for Dealer Services, I will be refinancing with another, more professional company.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
overdraft theft
Wells Fargo just stole my money. They were willing to give half of it back, until I demanded the entire amount. My local branch did not post my deposit (made yesterday before close of business) until today. The result: the transfer payment that I made yesterday via phone to Wells Fargo auto financing, right after my in-person deposit, was logged as an overdraft. The bank's phone rep tells me today that the deposit was logged in a day late. They charged me the full $35, and *generously* offered to refund half (17.50). I said I wanted the full $35 as it was Wells Fargo's error that caused the overdraft. Since I'm not agreeing to let WF keep half of my money, I now have to go back in to the branch on my day off (tomorrow) to get my money back. What a waste of time and energy. THIS IS WHY I AM MOVING MY MONEY OUT OF WELLS FARGO. I will only do my banking with my credit union from now on.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

systematically robbing me
Banking with them 5 years with direct deposit through my employer Home Depot. Never Never Never bank with them. They prey upon customers with puny income. Go 2 cents overdrawn and you get hit with 35 dollar overdraft. Then, because you are now more overdrawn, they hit you again, and it continues to snowball. I didn't get any of my last paycheck, at all. And the next payday is still a week away and they are up to having most of that one in overdraft fees, purely by snowballing overdraft fees and saying it was all my mistake, and they don't care. I hate them and am switching to a company payroll card. Anyone who willingly works for a company and enforces these outwardly evil policies is guilty IMHO, and they need to know there is a price to pay for them also. Yes, Hell is still hot.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Totally agree. Their "posting" methods are questionable. The system is designed to cause overdrafts by back dating transactions. If you make a payment on a website which can usually take 2 days for a bank to receive, Wells Fargo will charge an overdraft if the funds were not in your account on the date you made the transaction instead of the day they actually receive the request. I think this is an abuse of their service. As long as the money is in my account when the biller requests it, Wells Fargo has no business back tracking when I set up the payment with whom I'm paying. There job is to send the money when its presented to the account. They will tell you they don't do this but that's false. They "update" their system nightly from 8pm to 8am meaning they review the transactions and backdate to reflect the day they receive the request from the biller regardless if you deposited funds to cover it. They do this to weed out average and low income accounts. They apparently don't need or want our business. We cost them more than its worth which is why they hit us so hard with fees. They prefer business and corporate accounts. I am currently shopping around for a bank that needs and wants my family's business.
liars and crooks
Where do I begin. Wells Fargo took over our loan in 2009. That year my wife and I were forced to file a chapter 13. We reaffirmed our car and the court trustee made the payments. Because of this, the trustee doubled our payment to them each month. Wells Fargo agreed to reduce our interest rate by 8% and in return the car would be paid off 2 years early. In January of 2011 the car was paid in full ($18, 000). I was told we would receive the title once the Bankruptcy was discharged. In September of 2012 we were discharged. I called asking for the title and was told 3 times it will be mailed. In November my wife and I went to purchase a new car. The dealership called wells Fargo and asked for the title only to be told we still owed $1275 (the difference in interest from the agreed upon amount) Having no choice this was rolled into our new loan. When I called them I was given an apology and told they would be sending us a check for $1275. I called 4 times and was told it was in process. Then finally on my 5th call I was told they simply didn't cash the dealer check and I would have to go back to the dealer for the money. When I did this, the dealer produced a copy of the cashed check showing Wells Fargo lied and did indeed cash it. After calling them yet again, I was once again apologized to and told they sent another check to the dealership. The Dealership, who has been nothing but kind and helpful through all of this, finally cut us a check for the amount yesterday. This whole ordeal took us almost two months to recover money we were not suppose to pay to begin with. Thankfully we are in much better financial shape than 4 years ago and will NEVER do business with wells Fargo again.

insurance repair escrow
Wells Fargo has been holding a joint check from USAA Insurance for storm damage repairs to a home. The repairs are extensive and the homeowner is unable to live in the home until the work is complete. A check was issued from insurance company on July 10 and sent to Wells Fargo for endorsement. It is now December 22 and we still have not received the payment. To date the Homeowner has been living with relatives for over six months while everyone waits on Wells Fargo to endorse their name on the back of an insurance check that is probably expired now anyway
distribution of insurance claims
Hurricane Sandy slams the east coast leaving tens of thousands of homes in ruin. It takes 3 weeks for an estimator to survey damage and finally 6 weeks to receive a check for over 40k on to find out I cannot deposit the check without having it first endorsed by the cosigned mortgage company. Not so easy, since the claim is over 15k, Wells Fargo thinks you are going to take the money and run, so you must mail them the check with the estimators report and they will distribute the money as they seem fit since it is their house! Great then they should do all the work getting estimates and hiring contractors. Now you have to wait another 2 weeks to get the money which now throws off all my scheduled contractors. The bank will inspect your home to see if the work is being done and then produce more funds. THese banks have no idea how contractor business is run, 20-25% deposit, 1/2 at the start of the job and final payment at completion. if the funds are not completely there how is the work getting done. Sad no one cares. I served the City of New York for 22 years with compassion for the citizens that payed my salary. The banks are just interested in how to make more money for their Christmas bonuses even if it means wrongfully keeping funds, then providing the best service for the clients that pay their salaries.
holding of funds
My girlfriend takes a $ 12, 000 Progressive insurance check for deposit at the local Wells Fargo. This was on Friday, Nov 23. She needs the money for down payment on a new vehicle. The teller states that most of it has to be held to insure it clears. The last $ 9000 would not be available until Tues, Dec 4! Eleven total days for an insurance company check to clear ? Ridiculous. In this electronic age, the funds were most likely moved in 2 business days from one account to the other. Why does Wells Fargo do this to their customers?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I was in banking for over 18 years and it is common practice at most banks to place a hold on an insurance check. Usually 200.00 is available by the next day and up to 4800.00 in 2 more days. The remainder is usually available in 7 business days. Unless an account holder has enough on deposit to cover such a check, there will be that hold. As I said, common practice. If that check was rejected by the maker, I would not want to be responsible for collecting back the funds I gave out when I cashed such a check. Consider the hold a safe guard for all involved.
never received payoff loan title
I paid off my auto loan with Wells Fargo Dealer Services 7/24/2012. However, I was told by a Wells Fargo dealer service title group department that it would take a couple of weeks to receive my title. Two monthes go by and I called back ( 9/30/2012) for the title to my truck. They gave me basically the runaround. First they said, We haven't sent it yet and I responded by saying "Why not". They said IDK but we"ll send it out today. I called back after another two months (11/30/2012) later and had to speak with a supervisor. He basically said our notes show it was sent out on July 24th. I said wasn't there any notes about me contacting you for a title. He replied and said no. I asked for the title again he said we already sent it out we can't give you what we don't have. I told him well I need something showing ownership of this vehicle. I can send you a lean release form. I told him how is it that I called the first time and you still had it but on the second call you stated it was sent out on the 7/24/2012. He had no clue what was going on and further had to say "I understand things get misplaced in the mail but there's nothing we can do for you", I sorry. I told him so your not going to find out anything more about this account. He said theres nothing I can do. I felt like if he was tring to say, " So we're just going to blame the postal service its out of our hands, its your problem, good luck, have a nice day!" So now I find myself going to the MVD dealing with the runaround with them. FYI ANYONE WHO READS THIS BLOG, PLEASE THINK ABOUT GOING THROUGH ANOTHER BANK!THESE PEOPLE ARE SO NOT READY TO HELP ANY CUSTOMERS NOR DO THEY KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING...
