Wells Fargo won't refinance

I have been a Wells Fargo, for lack of a better word, "customer", since 1994. I have never missed a single payment. This is the 2nd time I've tried to lower my mortgage rate and they keep coming up with the biggest ### excuses to delay and deny my requests. This time, they want to know about a location where I lived 26 years ago. A location where I lived before I got my mortgage with them. Why is it a concern this time? This time, they want me to prove who I am by submitting: my driver's License or Paasport. Why wasn't that a concern in 1994? Although, I must have submitted it to them in 1994. My wife and I got the original mortgage when our combine income was around $50, 000. Now, it's around $150, 000 but, we're somehow a risk!

Wells Fargo apprasial refund

Submitted re-finance paperwork and during process was denied loan. However Wells Fargo had taken our Credit Card number for appraisal that was to be done “after loan acceptance/approval”. Wells Fargo on the next day extracted the $464.00 from our account and continued with processing the loan which as I stated was denied. The appraisal company never made any sort of contact nor performed any service. When denial was received we contacted the local mortgage representative we were using and his management and were promised the refund which as was told to us was to be “removed” from our representatives payroll due to mishandling of this transaction. At 40 plus days since refund was to be approved we have yet to receive refund. Local management (Trevor) is ineffective and has proven they do not care as long as they get their share of others money. Wells Fargo is quick to take away but reluctant to return monies owed to small families.

Wells Fargo loan re-fi

Stay away from Daniel Fish at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Santa Cruz. He processed my loan refinancing documents, didn't show up to Closing, I resolved all my questions with the Title Officer, I signed all the documents at the Title Company, then got a call from Dan's boss the next Monday that the documents were wrong and the loan couldn't be done. Lots of lame excuses. I was very concerned because I wanted to lock in my low interest rate. They promised me they would fix it. That was 2 months ago and I'm still getting the runaround from them. Daniel Fish has also lost key phone numbers I provided and had to re-ask me the most basic of questions, and now caused me late charges on my property taxes which I paid through my closing costs that did not go through. He has played with my money and my home like it's a Monopoly game, instead of my only home and my hard-earned cash. Save yourself time and money and do not go to Wells Fargo for your loan refi.

Try taking Fish & Wells Fargo to small claims court sounds like the have broke some laws maybe? File some legal complaints give them a headache right back, read online to see if they broke any lending laws or rules.

Wells Fargo late charge

I called AND wrote Wells Fargo a letter about my son last month because he is serving in Afghanistan US Air Force. and not by a computer very often. Two weeks after my son closed on his home he was deployed to Afghanistan. At the closing he gave them a blank check to begin automatically deducting the mortgage from his checking account because he knew he would be gone for 6 months. He discovered it was not done after the due date of course. A check was written and sent in with an explanation and a request to not charge a late fee. Well a late fee was charged... yes only $32.23 but it just made me mad. The Air Force does not pay all that much.
I just want to say they should be ashamed of themselves for not waving the late fee to someone serving their country, especially since it was their fault the payment was late. Someone did not do their job and use the check to start the appropriate deduction…. Just needed to vent!

Wells Fargo student loans

I agree 100%. They are unreasonable and unfair. They refused to send me a statement that actually showed that I owed them money (as I had never received one because they ignored my address change) and continued charging late fees (denying it was their fault).

One woman (who appears in charge of harassing me) asked me how much I could pay and I said about $200--she said, you have to pay $800. She refused to negotiate and literally said, "Aren't there people you can call for money?" No, there isn't! It's just me and I cannot afford this... I find it highly inappropriate that they suggest you call and harass and beg people for money--does she want me to go prostitute myself to pay them an unaffordable and absurd monthly fee?!

I am 100% up to date on all of my other student loans because they are REASONABLE and they will work with you to make sure you can afford payments. Is there anyway to get my loan taken away from Wells Fargo and given to CitiBank? Citibank is much more willing to work with you and always friendly on the phone--never threatening or harassing.

I can't believe Wells Fargo is still allowed to operate--especially student loans!

I'm currently on medical bed rest, in and out of the hospital, due to threats of preterm labor and recent cervical surgery. I am unable to work and have the medical paperwork to prove it. Wells Fargo is refusing to give me a deferment because I have had one in the past. I was told that there is no temporary disabilities program to offer their customers, which is beyond shocking to me. I've offered to pay whatever I can each month to keep them from selling my loan to a third party that according to them will start immediate legal action against me to garnish my cosigners wages as well as my future wages, but they are unwilling to accept anything but the full monthly payment. This payment is $600 a month and I have no idea where I can come up with this money. At this point my pregnancy (baby) is the most important thing on my mind. My husband and I are struggling to keep up with our regular bills with just his income. I'm not sure what to do. Please help! Advice? spread the word to encourage them to start a temporary disabilities program?

I co-signed a student loan for my daughter and paid if off in 2006. Or, so I thought. On June 25, 2013, Wells Fargo contacted me and said that I owed them $252.02 in late fees and interest on the unpaid amount from 2006! I was shocked and said but I paid that OFF in its entirety. The said I did not however I had made payments up to April 2013 with my $11, 843 payment made in 2006. I could not believe what they were telling me. According to Wells Fargo, there was a small unpaid balance after they quoted me a PAY OFF in June 2006 that was NOW DUE with interest. I was livid but agreed to pay $100 that day and three consecutive payments of $50 each in July, August and September on the 24th of each month and it would in no uncertain terms finally be paid in full. I agreed to this and my final $50 payment will be automatically withdrawn in 3 days. I called them today and they said I STILL OWE $148. We have come full circle from 7 years ago. I have demanded a full detailed report on this account going back to 2006. Apparently Nate and Jim lied to me about what I still owed when I spoke with them on June 25th and July 27th 2013. Apparently no one has correct information when they call demanding payment. This is a bunch of BS and is probably why I lost my house to Wells Fargo in 2009. I am sick of this company and anyone thinking of taking out student loans should go elsewhere. They will never leave you alone even when you have paid your debt. It will come back to bite you years later when you least expect it. They are unable to give a straight answer when you ask for your TOTAL PAYOFF. I am going to ask for a transcript of my 'RECORDED' phone call with Jim on July 25th when he told me 3 payments of $50 each would TOTALLY pay this off. What a joke on me.

Wells Fargo refinance

We have home mortgage with Wells Fargo. We sought refinance and contacted Wells Fargo. We thought that we would we get a good rate; however, the rate was high. Wells Fargo then treated the loan as a new loan, instead of modification, causing closing costs to increase unnecessarily. Wells Fargo had survey and lost it, and then demanded that we pay for new one. They refused to accept any responsibility for the situation.

Wells Fargo home mortgage

Long story short: payments $200 over minimum were taken and part ( min payment ) was applied, the rest put in unapplied funds; foreclosure followed and payments were taken and not applied/returned sitting in unapplied funds; 3 months later they filed foreclosure . Now, I'm gonna have to fight to keep me and 2 little kids in a home.
I would like to share my story and make you aware of how unfair the veterans are being treated, in particular by Wells Fargo Bank.
We own the 2 bedroom house since 2005. This January the bank has put the mortgage account in active foreclosure. I am a mother of 5 and 7 year old boys with full custody currently occupying the property. We just moved back in the house after living in an apartment for a year due to the judge's court order to vacate the property on October 4th 2011. Now, let me get back in time and explain what exactly has happened.
My husbands served in Iraq back in 2003. Upon returning from active duty he was screened for PTSD, even though he was cleared, the symptoms showed a little bit. We got married in 2004. He got a job with Union Pacific Railroad and is still employed with them. He never talked much about Iraq. The time has passed and I became aware, that he didn't just got physically hurt ( as he was hit by a roadside bomb ), but also mentally. Things got gradually worse, in spite of me telling him to get checked out, he denied everything and always backed it up saying that he was screened for that already. Finally, he became very aggressive, that was taking a toll on me and the kids. In order to help him, I had no other choice but file a restraining order. The system is that, for the veteran to get help and get treated he needs to commit himself. Although, if the veteran is in complete denial, the only way out is a restraining order. The judge didn't order him to get treatment and me and the kids were still in danger, as in my husband's eyes I just wanted to kick him out of the house and the problem was me not him. He started drinking 24/7, not answering his job calls and one night, having a black out and intoxicated he broke into our marital property at 03:00. Me and the kids will never forget that night, as we were scared to death. He acted like he was on a mission: took his shoes off to be quiet, took his portable hard drive, PS3 game and a box of moving straps. None of that made any sense. He was taken to jail that night and didn't remember anything afterwards. After that he kept pursuing us and we had to go live in the shelter for our safety and even leave town for a couple of weeks, as advised by police officers reasoning that the judge didn't mark " no weapons " on restraining order. We were told to leave town if were in fear of being hurt by him. Union Pacific found out his situation and told him to either get fired or go into company rehab for alcoholism, which to mention wasn't the problem as he didn't drink before it all happened.
So, he went off to rehab in Salt Lake City and me and my boys were ordered out of the house. The property is in both of our names . We moved and lived in an apartment without any help to pay for it, as CIRHA had a long waiting list. I had to get a job. We struggled but managed.
Time passed, Jesse came back from rehab feeling better. Throughout the year of 2012, I had no way to know if he was really better or not. I answered numerous calls from Wells Fargo, as I was told that he was falling behind on payments. We do not know the reason why. I explained to the bank the real reason and what was going on. All that ever was put on file was hardship. I came to drastic decision and filed for divorce. After that, even though every time I spoke to Wells Fargo agents explaining the real situation, they put hardship and now divorce on file.
September 2012 I was notified that he was moving out and me and the kids could have the house. We moved again I kept up on house payments. I also was informed by Wells Fargo that as of September the mortgage has fallen 4 payments behind and was at risk of foreclosure. I kept on paying and told Wells Fargo agents numerous times that I had an intention to keep the property and could catch up with my tax refund. None of that is on their file.
Now, I've come to find out that Jesse was making $200 over the monthly payment. That money were not applied to the account and set aside. My lawyer had doubts that $2800 is owed as the bank claims.
I'm having a nervous breakdown in fear of losing everything and that this time me and my kids will have to go live in the shelter, but lose all our possessions.
What has happened, why? I have no answer to that.
That's how Wells Fargo treated the veteran, knowing it is a VA loan, and his family. They didn't bother asking if his problems were related to the war. They didn't put on file a single time what I told them about his problem. They didn't apply the extra money paid over monthly payments. I'm losing hope. I'm afraid Jesse will have a relapse because of all this. Unapplied funds? Sitting in unapplied funds file because it's less then minimum payment when it was actually over the minimum? My January payment is in the same file now as the minimum payment is $2800. I kept on making payments that were neither applied or returned until now . I was served with foreclosure papers on March 28th and going to fight it.
Was it our fault, the bank's, the government's-I don't know.
All I know is that I'm losing everything I had. My kids are losing everything they had as they were born in this house and consider it home. Is there a lapse in the system? Did the bank have the right to do what they've done?

Wells Fargo drained 3 accounts= $11,000

My husband had a $20, 000 business line of credit. We owed less than $2, 000 past due. I made monthly paments of $100 but pmts were $300+ Our tax returns came in 4/5/13 on that day, the bank cleaned out 3 of our accounts totalling over $11, 000 without permision and without asking us to negotiate! We now have checks bouncing! Praying for a miracle, we have to wait until Monday since the office is closed on the weekends. I can not believe this can happen in America!

So what was the total amount owed on the credit card then? The way I read the statement is the business card had a line of credit up to $20, 000 or up to $20, 000 could be charged on the business card, but only about $2, 000 was owed. It was past due.

Also if less then $2, 000 was owed on the credit card why did they take $11, 000 out of your accounts. You only owed about $2, 000 not $11, 000, what is Wells Fargo doing with the additional $9, 000 that is not theirs?

I hope you can get this problem cleared up. You were making the payments so it was not like you were just saying screw it, it was just not the amount Wells Fargo wanted. I ran into this problem with them when I was paying back my student loans to Wells Fargo. I paid as much money as I could to them but it was not the amount they wanted. I was not making enough money to pay them the amount they wanted since I was only making minimum wage. However they never took money out of my account without my permission. I agree the payments on the credit card must be made, but all banks must realize people have other bills they have to pay and I feel it is wrong for them to clean out 3 of your accounts without permission or trying to work with you more. I pray to God you can fix this problem.

Wells Fargo wells fargo not wanting to work with people.

Wells Fargo does not want to work with people who are having money problems. I had my hours cut at work due to the recession and I also had a lot of medical bills. I called Wells Fargo Dealer Services and told them my situation of why I could not pay. I requested to be either refinanced or have my payments deferred for a while and they refused. The woman I talked to on the phone was also very rude and snooty, I almost hung up on her.

Thank you KMQ and SkyQueen1948 for the helpful advice at least some people try to help people instead of criticizing them. I do not ignore my creditors, if I have money problems I tell them my situation and what I am willing to do to solve the problem. As for you people who think that I am not looking a second job or a better paying job I just had a job interview on Thursday that pays better and has benefits and they act like they are interested in hiring me. I will talk to my local Wells Fargo and the dealership where I got the car to see if they can work with me. Believe me if I had the money I would just pay the car off in full and that way I could be done with it. However I do not have a 401k, at least not yet.

I am also not the only one saying Wells Fargo is evil. 99% of the people who bank through Wells Fargo dont know about this website if they did there would be millions of complaints. I never said you worked for Wells Fargo. I said you might work for Wells Fargo since you were defending them. As for my finances I guarantee I can manage them better than you. I never got $100 a week from my parents when I was in high school, you should feel privileged. Wells Fargo is evil and as the band Metallica would say SAD BUT TRUE they are. With the attitude you have had towards me and the other people who have money problems and not caring I wish that you go through the same problems we have had just to walk a mile in a man's moccasins. I think it is time for you to GROW UP.

I hope one day you have a huge medical expense or you loose your job, and can't pay your bills. You can eat the words you just said and get a taste of your own medicine. We will then see who acts like a five year old or a snotty 16 year old girl.

Well I guarantee your parents have had money problems at some point in their life, and chances are it wasn't even their fault. They probably had money problems right after they had you because your mom had to stay home and take care of you for the first two or three years and she could not work. They could have had a medical crisis like I did or lost their job because the company did not need them and were laid off. I am not looking for a handout, I have looked for a second job or find a better paying job then the one I have but jobs are scarce in this recession and you have to take whatever you can find. I was unemployed for a long time and spent a fortune on gas which is almost $4 gallon just looking for a job. I have worked hard my whole life I graduated high school I even have a college degree believe it or not and am going for a second one. So before you people who have said that I am a worthless dead beat freeloader and is good for nothing person not wanting to pay his bills THINK AGAIN because I have worked very hard my whole life. Nothing was just handed to me unlike some people in this world, everything I have I have worked hard for.

I didn't say they were a charity. I am a mature adult who just ran into some financial trouble. I am not refusing to pay my bills I even have good credit. Don't tell me you have never run into money problems before, because I guarantee you have, everyone has at some point in their life.

I want to work with them they don't want to work with me. As for only about 800 people complaining, most people who bank through Wells Fargo don't know this website exists. If they did there would be millions of complaints. I don't care what anybody says Wells Fargo are CROOKS, they are heartless, uncaring, show no remorse or sympathy, for the hard working Americans who have worked for every thing they own.

I am not acting like a five year old, refusing to pay my bills, and lastly I am not lying. There is a difference between having money problems and just refusing to pay your bills. I feel I should pay what I owe on the car, I just ran into some financial difficulties. I never said you worked for Wells Fargo I just thought you might since you were defending them. I quote the Bible for what it says but I am not breaking its traditions, and I do not use the Bible to make excuses. I WORK HARD! At work and in the classroom, I work all the hours I can to make ends meet, I am taking this class online so I can get a better paying job. The library has the Internet but they are only open certain hours and sometimes you cant even get on because there are no open computers so I need the Internet. I am not a lazy freeloader who does not want to pay his bills. I even have a 720 credit score and have never missed payments on my bills until I ran into financial trouble. So if you still think a 28 year old who has worked hard his whole life and has made many sacrifices in order to get where he is today who works a demanding job and goes to college full-time is an immature adult and acts like a five year old then I don't know what to tell you because you are VERY WRONG!

I know the bank is not my friend, but with no interest being charged on loans America would be powerful and prosperous beyond its wildest dreams. It would be equivalent to a 50% increase in purchasing power for buyers. The Bible is also against usury or interest.

' If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.
'Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.
'You shall not lend him your money for usury, nor lend him your food at a profit. (Leviticus 25:35-37)
Read Billions for the Bankers, Debts for the People, yourself and tell me what you think after that you can go online to read it. Just do a search on Google or Yahoo.

300 Billion Dollars a year or more is being robbed from the American people from interest on loans such as car loans, home loans, student loans, and credit cards. America is on the brink of collapse and the bankers will be the people who caused it.

Well word has gotten out about Wells Fargo and everybody knows it. You should read the book Billions for the Bankers, Debts for the People by Pastor Sheldon Emry. This book exposes how the bankers have cruelly robed people of their money and savings, caused divorces among American couples and is going to ruin this country financially. It is only a matter of time before this country collapses and falls to its knees and Wells Fargo will be part of the reason.

I need the internet because I am taking college classes online I would like to have a degree to get a better paying job, and I never hung up on her she was very rude to me though. Believe me if I had the money to pay the auto loan I would pay it. It is not like I am just refusing to pay. I just ran into a financial hardship and need them to work with me. If someone owed me money and they ran into financial hardships I would work with them, I would either reduce the payments or just postpone the payments until they got back on their feet. Life is a two way street! if someone does not want to work with me, I do not want to work with them.

Financial problems or not, some things like taking money from people and not applying to account even after statement of active foreclosure, keeping and not applying money paid is just simply wrong! That's what happened to me:

Things got gradually worse, in spite of me telling him to get checked out, he denied everything and always backed it up saying that he was screened for that already. Finally, he became very aggressive, that was taking a toll on me and the kids. In order to help him, I had no other choice but file a restraining order. The system is that, for the veteran to get help and get treated he needs to commit himself. Although, if the veteran is in complete denial, the only way out is a restraining order. The judge didn't order him to get treatment and me and the kids were still in danger, as in my husband's eyes I just wanted to kick him out of the house and the problem was me not him. He started drinking 24/7, not answering his job calls and one night, having a black out and intoxicated he broke into our marital property at 03:00. Me and the kids will never forget that night, as we were scared to death. He acted like he was on a mission: took his shoes off to be quiet, took his portable hard drive, PS3 game and a box of moving straps. None of that made any sense. He was taken to jail that night and didn't remember anything afterwards. After that he kept pursuing us and we had to go live in the shelter for our safety and even leave town for a couple of weeks, as advised by police officers reasoning that the judge didn't mark " no weapons " on restraining order. We were told to leave town if were in fear of being hurt by him. Union Pacific found out his situation and told him to either get fired or go into company rehab for alcoholism, which to mention wasn't the problem as he didn't drink before it all happened.
So, he went off to rehab in Salt Lake City and me and my boys were ordered out of the house. The property is in both of our names . We moved and lived in an apartment without any help to pay for it, as CIRHA had a long waiting list. I had to get a job. We struggled but managed.
Time passed, Jesse came back from rehab feeling better. Throughout the year of 2012, I had no way to know if he was really better or not. I answered numerous calls from Wells Fargo, as I was told that he was falling behind on payments. We do not know the reason why. I explained to the bank the real reason and what was going on. All that ever was put on file was hardship. I came to drastic decision and filed for divorce. After that, even though every time I spoke to Wells Fargo agents explaining the real situation, they put hardship and now divorce on file.
September 2012 I was notified that he was moving out and me and the kids could have the house. We moved again I kept up on house payments. I also was informed by Wells Fargo that as of September the mortgage has fallen 4 payments behind and was at risk of foreclosure. I kept on paying and told Wells Fargo agents numerous times that I had an intention to keep the property and could catch up with my tax refund. None of that is on their file.
Now, I've come to find out that Jesse was making $200 over the monthly payment. That money were not applied to the account and set aside. My lawyer had doubts that $2800 is owed as the bank claims.
I'm having a nervous breakdown in fear of losing everything and that this time me and my kids will have to go live in the shelter, but lose all our possessions.
What has happened, why? I have no answer to that.
That's how Wells Fargo treated the veteran, knowing it is a VA loan, and his family. They didn't bother asking if his problems were related to the war. They didn't put on file a single time what I told them about his problem. They didn't apply the extra money paid over monthly payments. I'm losing hope. I'm afraid Jesse will have a relapse because of all this. Unapplied funds? Sitting in unapplied funds file because it's less then minimum payment when it was actually over the minimum? My January payment is in the same file now as the minimum payment is $2800. I kept on making payments that were neither applied or returned until now . I was served with foreclosure papers on March 28th and going to fight it.
Was it our fault, the bank's, the government's-I don't know.
All I know is that I'm losing everything I had. My kids are losing everything they had as they were born in this house and consider it home. Is there a lapse in the system? Did the bank have the right to do what they've done?

@KMQ, I know what you meant. I didn't say empty out either. And you don't need to tell anybody what the money is for, it's none of their business. It's your money you can do whatever you want with it and you needn't justify your needs to anyone-well, maybe WF. Take it out/pay it back, take it out/pay the penalty. At least a person has a choice and choices are good. I didn't read anywhere Andrew said if he had a 401k. Maybe he should let the car go and get a bike? Next year my husband has to take a portion of his 401k out at age 70 and a half- that's the law.
Sheesh, I was agreeing with you for the most part. You must be a night person also. I'm going to bed. Good night.

@KMQ, I'm sorry to say you are wrong about people tapping into their 401ks The only thing with the tapping it has to be paid back or you end up paying taxes on the money that is withdrawn. We tap ours, fortunately when we got out taxes done we were below the poverty level so the amount we withdraw isn't taxed plus we got a 80% reduction on our property taxes. Andrew, I agree with KMQ, go talk to your bank, talk to the person who you got your financing through, don't beg just act real pitiful. Just remember they can kill you but they can't eat you. Andrew most people who know that they can not tap into their 401K plans for a hardship loan, purchase the GAP protection, just in case they lose their jobs or fall on hard times.
As for WF not accomodating you, they were wrong. Most Banks will work with you if you have a hardship and will push your carnote back a couple of months. I know this to be true because I know people who have done so.
Maybe you should walk into a branch and speak with the Bank President.

I agree with Tasha, you claim you are looking for another job, but all I see here is you bashing both Tasha and the company. You seem to be online more than offline looking for jobs, going for interviews. You need to look for ways to cut your expenses.

I also agree that giving a teen $100 a week without having her have to earn it is not a way to teach her about life.

However you are the adult here and for you to argue with a 16 year old and stoop to her level is wrong no matter how upset you are. For you to wish ill upon her because you don't see eye to eye is not adult behavior.

Both of you need to grow up.

Wells Fargo overdraft fee protection

a Banker told me that i could save money with the overdraft fee protection on my checking i also had the save as you go account from which they also took money. Well, as you can imagine i went from one overdraft fee to four overdraft fees a day. That was not explained to me when i agreed to the protection. I am on a fixed income, which mean that i get a check once a month for my rent and other bills, I have nothing to live on because overdraft fees are about three hundred dollars from February and four hundred dollars for January which means i am back in th hold for April. This bank is draining any progress that I made to repair my credit. I tried to make payment arrangements on the phone and got hung up on waiting for a agent or banker, tried again same thing which leads me to believe that they did not want to do that, they want everything at one time. These Banker should be a shame for offering their products without fully explaining them to the customer first and leading them to believe they are getting such a great deal. Now I know what the wall street protesters were talking about, big bank only care about the people who have money not the little people.

Wells Fargo unhappy wells fargo customer!

I took out a secured loan through Wells Fargo a year ago to build my credit. The transmission went out in my car last week and I needed to come up with a large sum of money quickly, so I talked with a Banker who told me I could pay off the remaining balance of my secured loan and then receive the initial funds that same day... So I borrowed the money to pay off my loan from friends and family promising them that they'd have their money back the next day... It has now been 6 days and still nothing! All day today has been spent trying to track down the branch manager who at first I was told wasn't going to be available today to help me with this issue. Then I called back spoke to another banker who said she was out at "lunch" at 3:45pm!?! I'm really stating to get livid and feel I'm getting nowhere! Now my car is going to be impounded, my friends and family are angry and I'm about to lose my job due to how much time I've missed. All because of miss-information! plan to close all my Wells Fargo accts and will not bank with them at any time in the future!

Wells Fargo outrageous overdraft fraud

I noticed at noon today (3/25/13) my balance was low and that I only had a little over $2 in my account. I used the Direct Deposit Advance option, in the amount of $140, to cover any possible cover charges that were to come through my account. Not only did Wells Fargo hold a charge from the 3/22/13, but they charged me for $35 twice on one transaction and another $35 charge once on a lower transaction for the same company. Making my account negative $84 dollars.

I have noticed this also. I have noticed that Wells Fargo will show a charge as pending when a company sends it through. They will take as long as a week, maybe even a week and a half to fully clear. They blame this on the company. However, it is really Wells Fargo playing games with your account hoping you will make a mistake. I have a charge from four days ago that disappeared and then suddenly cleared my account today. The only day that it has been below that amount because I transferred money to my other checking. I also had a $600 mattress charge from two weeks ago. They lingered it around my account for a week and a half. Even three days after I had received the mattress, Wells Fargo still had not caused the charge to clear. They were hoping I would forget and take the money out. They try to blame their slow process on the merchants, but I highly doubt a merchant is going to ship me a bed before clearing payment, and then wait 3-5 days later before getting their money. This should be illegal. Wells Fargo does this a lot and on purpose. I have decided after everything clears on my account, I will use another account for my debit and online purchases. A bank that will clear charges when the merchants send them through and not when they feel like it. A bank that isn't always trying to catch their customers off guard by holding charges a week and a half.

Wells Fargo mortgage fraud

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Wells Fargo Bank N.A., has and/or are currently attempting to defraud us out of tens of thousands of dollars and using the threat of foreclosing on our home to coerce us into committing perjury on government-insured loan applications & documents.

1. Mortgage Fraud - more then $ 15, 000.00 in uncredited payments. [Proofs of payments have been sent to WFHM and without explanation WFHM has ignored the proof of payments.]

2. More than $ 6, 000.00 fraudulent charges for services never performed. [5-separate itemized lists of the fees/charges have been sent to us since December 2003 through Dec. 2011. The list should be identical except for new charges and/or payments being added as the newer lists were updated. When these lists are compared to each other there were more than 280-discrepancies for the services and charges listed.]

3. Improper charges for hazard insurance when we carry our own insurance, and thousands of dollars of changes to our escrow account for a completely erroneous reason.

4. Refusal to supply documents that were requested in a Qualified Written Request, and by federal law we are entitled to. Specifically but not limited to: 12 U.S.C. Section 2605(e)(1)(A) as amended effective July 16, 2010 by the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act and Reg. X Section 3500.21 (e)(1). [These documents are needed to resolve the financial issues with our loan/mortgage. If all of our payments, have been properly credited to our loan and the Corp. Adv. charges are legitimate why is WFHM refusing to supply documents we are entitled to?]

5. Refusing in writing to send us our official “Life of Loan History” that we have in writing requested more than 6-times and again by federal law we are entitled too.

6. Preparing and sending us unofficial payment histories that have been altered and/or are incomplete. Also falsely claiming that these altered and/or incomplete payment histories are the only payment histories that are available. [Again if all of our payments have been properly credited to our loan and the Corp. Adv. charges are legitimate why did WFHM sending us unofficial, altered and incomplete payment histories and refusing to send us our official “Life of Loan History” that by federal law we are entitled to?]

7. Loan Modification Fraud - by including tens of thousands of dollars fraudulently in the new loan, thereby defrauding us and the government-insured Making Home Affordable program. [ Including in the new loan the more than $ 15, 000.00 that we have paid but wasn’t credited to our loan and including the fraudulent Corp. Adv. charges for services that were never performed.]

8. Using the threat of foreclosing on our home to coerce us into committing perjury on a federal loan application & document. [ We have a digital recording of the phone conversations and letters from WFHM stating this fact.]

9. Manipulated our monthly mortgage payment amount solely for the purpose of changing our eligibility status for the Making Homes Affordable loan modification program. First by raising our payment making us eligible for the program and then when we refused to complete the application until after all the financial issues with our mortgage were resolved, WFHM lowered our monthly payment so that we missed eligibility by ½% point.

10. WFHM & WFB has used the US postal service to try and defraud us out of tens of thousands of dollars by sending us fraudulent documents and then demanding payment for fraudulent charges, i.e., services that were never performed and demanding payment for amounts we have already paid.

11. WFHM is currently using fraudulent Assignment of Deed of Trust documents in the foreclosure proceedings against our home, which directly violates federal and state laws and the settlement agreement with the U.S. Attorney General’s office and violates many other federal and state statues.

A question I have is: If the FBI was sent a lead that Wells Fargo Bank was going to be defrauded out of tens of thousands of dollars and once the fraud was committed the money would be unrecoverable and credible documents to support the claim were supplied. Wouldn’t the FBI try and stop the fraud before it was committed?

If WFHM is allowed to proceed with the foreclosure proceedings against our home using the fraudulent Assignments of Deeds of Trust and by fraudulent claiming that we owe them tens of thousands of dollars for services that were never performed and money we have already paid that wasn’t credited to our loan, then Wells Fargo will be defrauding us out of tens of thousands of dollars. Shouldn’t we be protected from this happening to us? Under federal laws do we have any protection to keep this from happening?

If our home is sold through a trustee sale we won’t be able to recover it and we don’t want to sue WFHM after the fact we just want to legally save our home without having to commit perjury on federal loan documents do so.

Wells Fargo deferment auto loan

our auto loan has a perfect history with wells, we asked for a deferment for 1 month when we had switched jobs and money was tight.., they said ok and erased our auto loan payment for that month, then 12 days after the MISSED payment they hit us with a late fee and said that they hadnt approved the deferment...yet they were so sure of it that they canceled our scheduled payment for the month?! called to have the late charged waived at least... NO THEY WONT!? they are horrible

Wells Fargo employee kidnapped to conceal

All Police a/v and reports posted to prove to 100% standards every word I write and a lot more. This is unique in that I obtained and posted OFFICIAL a/v of what they did to me. I worked Wells Fargo Home Mortgage last 2 of my destroyed 30 year career. Each week we were compelled to falsify sales systems entries. I became concerned with that...considered it system fraud. I reported it internally and they made life very hard on me. Then I did what nobody ever does: I walked into the FEDERAL BUREAU-INVESTIGATION (FBI) in person with sworn evidence. That is called "evidence parking". 2 days after the second evidence parking Wells Fargo arranged LOCAL COPS to come to my home and have me arrested and hauled to jail for a completely falsified "crime" that never happened. Dismissed, no hearing but...I was taken from my home in chains, no arrest warrant, massive SWAT action for... 2nd degree municipal trespass the day before. MEET REAL ME IN SWAT CAR. HEAR HOW POLICE MADE IT UP and company falsified 911 call the day before to 'paper' what they were doing. Big OOOOPS, they left their microphones on when they went back to police HQ to pre-mediate the later kidnapping. Big, giant...OOOPS. Caught with their pants down and red-handed.

Wells Fargo holding my tax refund without explanation

The IRS released my tax refund on 2/27/2013. On 2/28/2013 wells Fargo prepaid service closed my card without notice. I called and was told it was because my address didn't match deposit info. I sent verification the same day requested to only be told that my personal refund is being further reviewed by wells Fargo. They refuse to give me detailed info as to why given this is my federal refund . Each day i call IMO told to call back. 3-4 days. 5 days. 24-48 hours. No explanation of this review. No tIMOe frame of this process. They refuse to give contact info for complaints or to the department so called reviewing-my return. Don't know what to do. They are holding my 6000 refund!

Wells Fargo refinance

I currently have a mortgage with Wells Fargo. I contacted them about doing a refinance and the loan specialist told me that they had a program for current customers with good credit, which I have. She told me that I would be able to do a Streamlined loan, which means less paperwork and faster turn around time. I sent the application in 1 Oct 2012. For the next few months I didn't hear back from the loan specialist. I emailed and tried to contact her. She finally responded and stated that the loan was almost finished and then disappeared again. I was able to locate a personal cell phone number for the loan specialist and when I got in touch with her she said that she no longer worked for Wells Fargo. I called Wells Fargo and they said that my loan application was cancelled because they couldn't get in touch with me. Since I currently have a loan with them they have my contact info, which they failed to use (no email, no phone call, nothing).

The person at the Wells Fargo "executive" complaint section said that there was nothing she could do. I asked her why nobody contacted me and she said that the loan processor probably didn't have the capacity to contact me because it wasn't their job, it was the job of the loan specialist. Basically, the complaint section went out of her way to outline the job differences, expectations between the different departments with Wells. I told her that I am dealing with Wells Fargo and the way Wells divides up their work assignments should not be my concern. She said that the application was cancelled and that I would have to reapply (five months later). I asked her why they couldn't honor my original application and they Good Faith Estimate and she told me that the Good Faith Estimate doesn't mean anything. She said she would have another loan specialist contact me so I could start over. I asked her to email me with the status because I am currently serving overseas and there is a time difference. She said that she is not able to send external emails. I have excellent credit and a little upset that I spent 5 months waiting for them to process my application and they strung me along and then cancelled it. If it was cancelled for bad credit, etc. I would be okay with it, but it wasn't. Doesn't anyone take responsibility for their business anymore? Is there any recourse in this?

I tried to refinance my house with Wells Fargo and I have a good credit score, I owe less balance on bills then when I bought the house as well as I put a large down payment down so I don't owe a lot. the person I was working with was concerned about a balance of $32.40 which was going to be paid off that week. Even thought they have gotten Stimulus money they are not interested in refinancing my house. I pay my mortgage early every month since I bought the house.

Our mortgage was purchased by Wells Fargo 10+ years ago. We are pre approved with excellent credit so we wanted to refinance for a lower interest rate. We started the process 13 weeks ago and are no closer. They keep asking for more and more information. Each time we send what they want we are told that this is all they been waiting on and as soon as it is received they ask for more. We have purchased 3 homes and refinanced in the past and NEVER have we took this long or been through a nightmare like this. Just say NO to Wells Fargo.

They break all jobs into the smallest parts. It is called "obfuscation". It is one of the hallmarks of Racketeering subject to RICO. When I worked there... that happened all the time. Regarding the loan... try other lenders. You can often get a LOWER RATE/LOWER APR even if there are closing costs added. Even MORE WEIRD? They are so screwed up it is likely you can go to a different Wells Fargo mortgage office and re-apply. If it was their '3 step loan' ask the Branch to CALL the HARP/3 step internal helpline to get an exception. They used to grant exceptions from that office.

Bottom line: go into a branch, find a loan officer stupid enough to stay there more than a year or two and see what they can do for you by calling the office I suggested to try. Dont count on anything changing but it might be worth a shot.

Wells Fargo bank manager

I recenly asked to see the Branch Manager over a business loan. The loan officer was rude and the Branch Manager I use to deal with no longer worked there. So, the new one (Tashana Bisumber) started that it was not her job fuction and that she was not able to help me resolve my issue.

I found this very un-professional and have decide to cease all tranactions with Well Fargo Bank in all future proceding in the future. If anyone has to deal with personal or business banking I suggest they look elsewhere.

Wells Fargo refinance scam

About December, 2009 I began a load modification process with Wells Fargo. For the next 10 months I was requested to send documents to support my account information. During those 10 months I dealt with Wells Fargo Reps in California, Minnesota, Charlotte, N.C., Wisconsin and others places I can't recall. Got numerous requests for more info and when I informed them the info they were requesting had already been submitted they somehow found the data and we completed our conversation. Being a veteran I asked for any leverage that would help my situation. I was told being a Veteran carried no weight with this modification because the modification was not dictated by govt. regs. After 10 months of paying a lesser amount of 350.00 they told me I did not meet the Federal Guidelines on income. I made $25.00 a week too much. Then I was told I owed them $3, 500.00 and my payment would revert to 880.00 per month. Or they could try to enroll me in another program. After a couple of months I received an application for this new program. They also included a repayment schedule for the next 30 years. After 8 years on this program I would again be paying around 880.00 per month. They also added $8, 000.00 to my mortgage. Before the modification process I owed about $120, 000.00 and after I owed $128, 000.00. I could not come up with the additional 3, 500.00 so to keep my house I had to accept and sign the new agreement. The reason I call it a scam is because they were aware of my income from day one. Then 10 months later and 3, 500 more in debt they said my income (according to Federal Guidelines) was too high. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Respectfully, Gary Tinsley
