denial of modification loan
I had been unemployed and I had to file bankruptcy and my home went in to foreclosure. I have been able to obtain employment and I am attempting to keep my home. However, Wells Fargo has made it difficult for me to apply for a modification loan I had to speak to several individuals and departments. Also, they have made it difficult for me to appeal the denial of a modification loan. 10/22, Jaime Ruiz said I was denied due to lack of income and would send me the denial letter and instructions to appeal. On 11/4 I spoke with Ms. Ruiz and she told me she sent it to the lawyer but would send it to me. 11/17 of this date I have not received the letter, when I called on 11/11 I spoke with Michelle same department as Jaime and she told me I was denied because my home has equity and they would not approve the modification. On 11/12, I spoke with Jaime who was now in the office. I told her I still have not received the letter and she told me that she sent it to my lawyer. I told her again I did not have a lawyer representing me. Previously before the denial she had sent me documents directly to my home on 10/3, 10/4 and 10/9 without a copy to the lawyer office. When I spoke to her on 11/12, she said she was instructed to send the denial letter to the lawyer and could not help me. Also, she refused to give me a copy of the appraisal. I was told by two other WF employees that I could get a copy of the appraisal. I believe the appraisal is incorrect, 3 homes in my area have sold less than what my loan is worth. My deadline to appeal is 11/26, however, the bank has not provide me a copy of the denial letter to in order for me to appeal. I also have obtained a renter in order to increase the income of the household if in fact I was denied due to lack of income. At this time I am not certain what the real reason for my denial is.
don't care about anyone but them selves
Was getting behind on payments and ask to put a couple of payments to the end so I could get caught up, They said no so I got behind on a couple of payments only 2 found a place that finds someone to take over your payments within 30 days well come to find out the company was a scam,
Long story short Wells fargo dealer services didn't want to even try to work with me even though they knew the car had been reported stolen the car was taken in Texas and found in New Mexico had damaged to it and my insurance company tried to deal with them but they still wouldn't release any info the adjuster needed even after I told them to let him have what he needed .They told me they was going to auction of the car on a certain date even though the car was still in a investigation and they never made a claim on the car to the insurance. so therefore they was selling it like it was meaning they will take whatever they get and stick me with the rest. Good luck on that! this was a $14, 000 car but was probably sold for pennies on the dollar. if it was done right it would have been paid for and repaired in the way it was before getting stolen. But the people at Wells fargo dealer services don't care about anything but them selves. I hope all of them experience what I and other people here have and get what they give us which is nothing! I'll never get a loan from this company again even if I have to go with out.

Don't ever miss a payment either youll never have anything ever again. Wells Fargo will make sure of that.
This company is a loan shark. If you loose your job or have a finacial hardship they do not care and are not willing to work with you in any way. All they can say is find a way to come up with more money, well most of us do not have a magic wand to make money appear out of nowwhere. What I have learned is anything backed by Wells Fargo is Hells cargo. With all the complaints on the internet I don't know how these people are even in business? I pray this company goes bankrupt with all the people who are starting to boycott them!
demeaning service
Called Wells Fargo today to get answers to my question about refinancing my auto loan through them. I thought I would stay with them rather than find another bank for refinancing. I was able to get a loan for a vehicle through wells fargo but no refinanced! Same credit, better income yet denied! I got approved in the first place for a loan so why is this different, actually this should be a no brainer! Upon calling and finding out options on refinancing and issues not making payments I was transferred to a collections rep by the name of Ernie! Never been treated so badly in my life! He talked over me, wouldnt' let me finish sentences, and flat out used a friends personal experience with seizures to trump my disability! He claims that my neurologist was wrong and that there is no reason why I can't drive and work! Like it is any of his business!? I don't have to explain my medical concerns with a wells fargo collections rep EVER! Especially when they act as if your lying! How is this right? I did not choose to have a siezure resulting in financial hardship! I am current on my loan and just wanted to hear my options to make it through without being penalized and as a matter of fact I was! I was discrimated against! He also claimed that he doensn't have to give me his last name becuse they are only required to give first names! I will do everything in my power to take this matter as high as it needs to go!
You are one of many persons who have had the bad experience with Wells Fargo. People, never use this company. I was a good customer, never had a late payment, excellant credit rating, yet, they denied my request to refiance my vehicle.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Wells Fargo, they have not customer service and people need to start leaving them again. The last time we left them, the changed their ways, I was in the last group but are now right back to the bad customer service. We need to send a message and by leaving them seems to be the only way.
Good luck to all the unfortunate people who use this company, you will need it.
the most thieving bank ever
It is the the most thieving bank I've ever had, and I've had Chase, but to Wells Fargo is the worst. They steal money from your account without shame. When you find out they're stealing from you, they tell you that your account has been closed administratively, and that you can't touch YOUR money until it is completely closed. Also it is closed in one month and a half, after that you have to wait 15 days for th to send you a check of how much money was in the account, without any explanation, just because I didn't let them keep stealing my money. So if you want to have your money stolen go to Wells Fargo. Personally I will never use that bank again.

loan modification denied
The bank is violating the homeowner bill of rights act, they are denying my loan modification for improper reasons and not giving me the opportunity to appeal their decision which is based off of incorrect calculations computed by the bank. I have a sale date 10/2/2013. I need assistance on the postponement and fee that I am being treated unfairly and illegally.

Dear rhcastaneda,
I truly hope that I am not too late to help you and others in you situation. In the unfortunate event that your home sold already, you may still have foreclosure rescission rights based on the foreclosure abuse you suffered at the hands of Wells Fargo. You are absolutely entitled to an appeal as well as a clear explanation for your modification denial and those rights are backed by multiple regulatory agencies like the CFPB and the FTC. I have fought on behalf of many clients that have been in the exact same situation yet I have been able to not only stop the foreclosure but also to force the lender or servicer to extend modification options to the clients by challenging the validity of the debt and uncovering servicing violations. Please access our firm at ConsultingEND dot com or me directly via email at Dana at ConsultingEND dot for more information.

The results that we negotiated for our clients were not on the table for most when we took on the client as it took regulatory muscle and aggressive communication to achieve the desired debt restructuring resolutions.
Please call or email me as I would be more than happy to discuss your situation in full with no cost or obligation to you to uncover the possible options that exist for you regardless of the status at this time.

Debit card merchant claim [protected].
Dispute- motel 6 san diego ca charge: $101.27
There are a large quantity of suspicious, overdraft fees transactions, that have resulted from a false charge on july 4th, to my wells fargo checking account.
The charge info in dispute: (to my wells fargo visa/debit card account number: $101.27 on july 4, 2013.)
07/08/13 check crd purchase 07/04 0014 - motel 6 san diego ca 434256xxxxxx7212 [protected] ?mcc=3700 $101.27
I did not make the charge $101.27 to my wells fargo checking account on the 4th of july, 2013, at the motel 6 in mission valley in hotel circle.
Motel 6 required my visa/debit card account number to reserve a room for 07/04/1013.
The charge did not post to my wells fargo checking account until the 8th of july and is the cause of return check fees with capital one and many overdraft problems thru 08/12/2013.
My visa/debit card account number was used to reserve a room for 07/04/2013, but i was not able to check in before 6pm on 09/04/13 because of holiday traffic problems in the hotel circle area near the mall and qualcom stadium. the streets in mission valley were too crowded that afternoon to make it to the motel from la mesa by taxi, on time, at the 3pm check in time and the sd mts bus was running on a holiday schedule.
The room was rented after my reservation expired at 6pm, 3 hours later, or shortly there after. it was the 4th of july holiday, motel 6 collected double rent, thus, i will be reimbursed.
I did not charge $101.27 to my checking account and was keeping track of my apparent/actual balance until july 8 when the $101.27 motel 6 charge posted to my checking account, unexpectedly.
The $101.27 motel 6 room was charged to my account number(s) for 07/04/2013, after 6pm, but i wasn't charged anything for 07/05/2013. my reservation was for 2 nights, 07/04-07/05.
Please dispute the $101.27 charge from motel 6. it is a false/fraudulent amount.

customer service unavailable-literally
I have been attempting to contact Wells Fargo Financial Bank for 2 weeks straight! I have kept a log of how many times I try, and the list is now at 37 times. Ridiculous! When I call the number on my statement, I am able to hear the automated in-formation (payment, account balance, etc.); however, when it gives me the option of pressing "0" for a representative, I immediately get the message "your call cannot be completed as dialed". I have looked everywhere online and that is the only number listed. I called a local Wells Fargo bank and explained my situation and they said they were unable to even look up Cash On Demand accounts, but they also had the same contact number listed. The woman I spoke to tried to call the number from the bank and she even got the same message. There is also ZERO email/contact information for this company. POOR customer service! Since it obviously is not a problem with my phone and is an issue with their line, are they not wondering why the phone isn't ringing? I need to speak to someone immediately regarding my account, but sadly, that isn't happening. I decided to just not make my payment because guaranteed I will get someone on the phone then! This is so pathetic that people -have to resort to these measures to get a customer service rep on the phone, but if you are late, they are calling every 5 seconds. As of yet, they have NOT called, but it is only a matter of time I am sure. The 2 numbers listed on my statement are: [protected] and [protected]. NEITHER WORKS! After pressing 0, you get the same message about not able to complete the call. If anyone has a secret of getting them on the phone, please share!

delaying tactics to reject harp refi
WellsFargo said "they tried really hard to get documents from me and so the loan was canceled because it went past the rate lock in date". Funny thing was they never notified me, I emailed them to inquire the status and it said that the we did not receive all the docs -
The loan processor was worthless: John Kosse and his boss Amber Evens even more worse - they never responded to queries of the loan status or what was missing etc. etc. This is perhaps WF's intentional tactic to keep people like me locked in at higher interest rates. This is a gross injustice and I wish some one file a class action lawsuit against this unfair mass rejection based on arbitrary reasons
foreclosure process
Well thank God I stumbled onto this website, I now don't feel alone. The economy sucks, and we have had tough making the house payment. So we had seeked help with the Step Forward Program (hopefully get current and go forward) well, Wells Fargo told them it was to late. They foreclosed without notice, a sheriff sale without notice. Said they posted on our home notices, we have 4 entrances to our home NO NOTICES ON ANY ONE DOOR! And like posts listed here we have made many calls trying to get one straight answer about payoff...no call the foreclosure attorney, no we can't give you that amount you will have to call your lender. Called yesterday (after being in court for eviction notice) and they said our house was with a broker-courts didn't even know this?
My thoughts are kinda jumbled as this is very upsetting, sorry. As many of you, things get better husband has an income and I get a fulltime position so we set these funds aside to get caught up. No answer what we can pay, where, etc. I went to court yesterday with cash in hand hopeing to make an offer to get current, no luck. One phone call says this, and then refer you to another number or transfer you at least 5 times and still get a different answer.
I don't deny we have an obligation, just give me a number to settle up and let me keep my home is all I want, and they don't seem to want to do that. They even misled us on how to redeem our home-we were told to send in letter to redeem, then another said no you need a letter of recesion and it will take 7 to 10 days, then we follow up ..oh no it may take up to 30 days, within 1 or 2 days we are served to be in court because they want to evict us. Still fighting, no one should be treated like this.

Dear lillian
Your response (And apparently wells fargo) does not represent anything close to appreciating my time or my business. The customer service call took no less than 1 hour of my time and resulted in closing of the credit line (I was told this was closed on 7/30/13) and reimbursing me (Supposedly) for $25, which is completely unacceptable. Please consider this as a formal complaint against the welss fargo banking practices.

This charge was made to my account when I visited my home branch to review my services with well fargo (I do this each year to make sure that everything is set up appropriately. I was shocked to learn that I had been being charged a "fee" each year for a credit line since wells fargo had taken over wachovia (Apparently the credit line was initiated in 1983!). Not only was this charge was never disclosed, but the fee present on any bank statements or my on-line account.
I did agree to pay the fee and close the credit line during my meeting with the representative. But in hindsight, I feel taken advantage of and feel strongly that the fees should have been waived. I appreciate your re-consideration of this charge.

computer glitch
I read reviews of WFB double charging or unauthorized funds taken. Well WFB just hit me up. WFB made record of an on-line transaction from my account. Transaction which I did not make. I contacted WFB and ended up talking with their Fraud Dept. and stated that the thief was WFB! Rep kindly stated we need to file claim and close all your accounts. I was just another claim to her and she was going thru the motions. I managed to confirm with the on-line banking dept that there was no web login/web activity under my account login for the day the transaction request was requested/processed. So how can WFB make a transaction on my account for a web/on-line banking request when their logs show that no activity for web login on that day! WFB has computer glitches or they are being hacked and don't know it! Appears I am now forced to close out my accounts. Might as well go elsewhere for my banking needs.

gave drivers license to another person
Clerk at the drive up service accidently gave my Drivers License to an unknown customer. I was asked for Drivers License and Bank Card in order to cash a couple of checks, when the transaction was complete I recieved the money, and bank card but no Drivers License. After alerting the clerk of the missing license she looked on her desk and around her work place and said she must have given it back. NOT Then I was told that I never gave it to them in the first place. So now I have to drive 26 miles to the nearest Az Moter Vehicle Division to request my licence be canceled.

bogus bank fees
I have been a long time Wells Fargo customer and regularly maintain 5-6 digits in the 6 accounts with WF. About a year ago I started getting charged a monthly service charge on my checking account. I called in and the customer service person advised me that WF changed the requirements for the free checking and now I had to setup a savings account and have an automatic transfer into a savings account. Ok...it was a pain but I set it up and all was fine. Now the service charge is back. Apparently WF changed the rules again and if my daily balance falls below $1500 in my checking for any single day they zing me $8. Nevermind that my average daily balance for the month is over $20k. This is ridiculous and I am done with Wells Fargo. As soon as I have all my automatic bill pays moved I am done with Wells FUgo. I hope this message gets out to more people than i think it will and there is a mass exotus from Wells Fargo...I would like nothing more than to see this bank go down.
incompetent
I have never dealt with a more dysfunctional, incompetent, lying department group until now. You have to literally call them everyday and each time you do you get a different person with a different story that flat out lye to you to pass you on to someone else. I do not wish this experience on my worst enemy, this department and who ever trains their personnel have a special place in hell waiting for them they are pure evil.
My mortgage has constantly been raised by wells Fargo year after year. I am supposed to pay 354.84 and they keep raising it to "cover costs." Its a fixed rate 30 yr. The mortgage original payment was 179.54. after escrow account amount was added it was supposed to be 354.84. They bought my loan from lending solutions and then began raising my payment constantly. And to get an answer out of them is impossible . they have jacked me around for over 7 yrs now, I shouldn't have to pay 225,000.00 for a 53,500 home.
Where to begin... Called Wells Fargo when I learned how much money I would be receiving due to the flooding from Harvey. Spoke to a representative and she told me I could mail in my paperwork OR go to to any Wells Fargo Branch to complete it. THAT WAS A LIE. Went to the branch and found out I had to snail mail the check or overnight it to Wells Fargo Property Loss Department. Was told to wait two days to see if an "exception" would be approved for me to endorse the check at the branch... THAT WAS A LIE. I went back to the branch to ask one more time, I was told that I would received $40, 000.00 of my check when it was approved. THAT WAS A LIE. I was not approved, nor would I be because the amount of the check. I've sent in document after document to try and get some of my funds released. I've been put on hold for 40 minutes at a time, told to call back over and over. Who has time to be calling these people when we work to pay our mortgage! Every time I call, it's a different excuse or LIE as to why my funds have not been released. I really believe that Wells Fargo is holding my funds in order for me to run out of money completely so I can't afford my mortgage and then they will take my home, insurance funds, and resale my home for a profit. I've paid close to $20, 000 put of pocket for my repairs and the Wells Fargo doesn't give a [censor]. They are the worst bank in HISTORY. They have been on the news for opening fake bank accounts (twice), and the other time for making homeowners carry EXTRA flood insurance at their interest. All I want is MY money so that I can go back home! These people are something else... I will never have another mortgage in my life. Ever. I am debt free except the house, and now I want to be rid of that debt too.
I have been dealing with them, disfunctional, unprofessional.
I expect it was set up this way to frustrate the homeowner. Literally have to call every day, and speak to a different person, which will give a different story from the previous person. Cannot communicate through email, because they do not want any written proof of what they lied to you about the previous communication.
I will change my mortgage company, just because of these incompetent people.
You have to literally call them everyday and each time you do you get a different person with a different story that flat out lye to you to pass you on to someone else === CLOSE ENOUGH
Too bad for your sister. I agree with the original poster - his experiences exactly mirrors ours...
age discrimination
I have been banking with wellsfargo since 1957. I finally got up to speed on on-line banking and banking over the phone . One I started this service, they said I did not sound like a 77 year old woman. The fraud department put an alert on my wellsfargo credit banking card. Then sent me a letter asking me to call and confirm who I am or they were going to turn off my card. Then then next thing I went to my on line banking and the fraud department shut off my of line banking service. I called and asked what happened . They said the fraud department shut off my access. I needed to call then, I called them and they won't speak to me over the phone. I do not drive anymore. I no longer have access to my money. I said I never called for a fraud, the wellsfargo customer service said it was out of their hands. Now I have no money, my bill pay was turned off by wellsfargo. I am wondering what to do. They are way out of line, terrible customer service and discrimination against the elderly.
Let's see how you would feel if it happened to your garndma
It is if you don't drive. What is on line banking for if not convenience. And then turn everything off?
Like the shoe bomber. We all got punished because of one wrong. Come on...
Someone needs to realize that the elderly can not express themselves like they use to. I would be afraid to mad too.
rude and disrespect customers
So I lost my job, not the only one in the world, I call and told them the situation, it does not matter to them, they are rude unprofessional and harass
The crap of me, they don't make notes when I call so they keep calling and calling
Stay away from them

collateral lien notification
After paying off my auto loan with wells fargo dealer services, I called customer service to request written confirmation that the collateral lein they put on my car as a condition of the loan is removed. They said they do not provide written proof that it is removed. "what?", I said. Asked for a supervisor, and was told the same thing. The supervisor said they report to the credit reporting agencies that the loan is paid in full and the lein is removed, but they do not write a statment to the customer to that effect. The supervisor said the credit reporting agencies have up to 90 days to update their records and said I could request that verification from them... The credit reporting agencies. I said, "what?" let me see, you, the lender, get payments for a car loan for 5 years, plus 7.9% interest, plus have my car as collateral, and report all this to the credit reporting agencies but when the loan is paid off the customer get's no confirmation the lein is removed.
This is just one more example of corporate greed and entitlement. Wells fargo dealer services recieved 3 times the annual growth rate on my little car loan, had a lein on the car for additional insurance, and now that I paid it off... I get nothing.
Wow — why do we keep giving these greedy, entitlement-oriented financial services business our money? I'm only going to bank with a local credit union from now on... Becu treats people with some humanity.

froze my account
My boyfriend had a bank account with Wells Fargo for almost a year now. Last month he was charged a maintenance fee of $7.95 and didn't notice it. This was the first time his account was charged with any maintenance fee. His income tax refund was set to deposit in his account and because he didn't pay the maintenance fee Wells Fargo closed his account. We went in and talked with a banker and she advised us to open a joint checking account. She said that the money will be rerouted into our new account in 2 business days. 2 business days later, funds were not deposited. We called the 1800 number and they said our account faled a risk assessment test and loss prevention put a hold on it. The banker then told me that I need to open a single account to avoid this type of problem, like my boyfriend is a criminal or something. We then called the banker who opened our account and was conveniently on PTO (PAID TIME OFF)! We then just went to the branch and visited with another banker. He told us that the there was a hard hold on our account and the money is being sent back to IRS. We were fuming by then, we wrote a $500 check on the account for our rent. He also said that we need to call IRS to get a paper check mailed to us. I was very pissed by this time and just walked out of the bank. The next day, out of curiosity I checked the bank account and his tax refund was deposited in the account! Whew weren't we happy. We went to the ATM to withdrawal it and wouldn't you know, we couldn't access our account. We again called the 1 800 TO WELLS number and a found out that the account is still frozen and we need to go into a branch to talk with a banker. We are beyond fuming because they won't give us our money, it's not like we stole it, he worked hard for his money. SO MY ADVICE WOULD BE NOT TO OPEN ANY TYPE OF ACCOUNT WITH WELLS FARGO UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY TONS OF FEES AND ONE DAY WAKE UP WITH YOUR ACCOUNT FROZE! After I get this issue resolved, we are closing our account and I will forever advise people not to bank with WELLS FARGO!
mortgage & other fees
We had a mortgage with another bank when wells fargo bought it out years ago, so for about 18years it has been with wells fargo.
About a year ago, all of a sudden, on our statement a new "box" showed up stating "other fees". We are being charged another $5.00 a month. We have contacted them several times but they have no answers for what that fee is for.
We have not refinanced or anything or gotten a line of credit. Nothing!
I have refused to pay it, so now it is up to $195.00
On top of that, even though our mortgage was/is a 30 yr. Fixed, our interest has not gone down as it was supposed to.
I hate this bank! If I was in any position to I would find another mortgage co.

cash on demand account - late payment fees and over the limit fees
I accepted a $5000 Cash On Demand Account from Wells Fargo. The APR originally offered to me was not the same as the actual contract of 20.99%. However, at that time I was in a pinch and needed the funds. I took two advances at a total balance of $4600. The remainder of the time I just made payments. Sometimes I would pay one to four times a month. Wells Fargo Financial did not reflect those payments for two billing cycles later, and assessed me late fees. I called several times when I got my statements because my payments were not reported on their statement and yet a $39 late fee was reported. I started getting phone calls one right after another in the same day, hour, from Wells, informing me that I had not made a payment at all. I even got calls at work, and letters. I was very frustrated after weeks and months of this. Then ten months after I opened the account, Wells Fargo after hundreds of phone conversations about their reporting process, lowered my credit line to $0.45 under the existing balance, and began charging me over-the-limit fees along with late fees. So I had $76 in interest each month and $74 in fines, at total of $150 per month on a $4, 600 loan.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
