code of ethics
Wellsfargo needs to have a better process about ethical issues
Across the company.
Several team members are being let go without having the opportunity to maintain their jobs. When ethical issues are being reported investigators are not making correct decisions and making favoritisms to certain team members
Last year 4 several bankers were let go because they were alternating customers documents due to lack of proper system or equipment that wells fargo was not providing and making a poor environment in the branches for team members.
The code ethics guide states that if any alteration or falsification of documents or deleting information from the system will cause termination
However investigators are not following the correct path, they have several cases were team members are altering and falsificating documents, they are not being fired they still have their job because they are top producer!
What is the company doing to prevent to do all these ethical issues and keeping team members that don't belong in the company which causes customers to feel uncomfortable and probably loosing trust due to so many gamming happening in the branches.
Leaders are aware of the situation but they don't do a better job to prevent these issues.
I am still an employee at wells fargo and I am afraid of what can happen to me if I don't make my sales or if someone reports of something stupid and I get fired I am not giving an opportunity to keep my job
Overall wells fargo is being smash in the media and loosing reputation when they need to control these issues and review their cases about people being fired for something they can be coach or place under review

over draft protection auto withdrawal
I am the Power Of Attorney on my father's account with Wells Fargo. He had his checking, savings and credit card with them. My father is almost 80 years old and needs help managing his money, specifically, living within his means. I monitor his account somewhat frequently. Last month, Wells Fargo took out 10 percent of his credit card balance from his checking to pay his credit card. This amount was too high as he owes $7, 000 on his credit card. I spent a good deal of time speaking with the Wells Fargo Clerk have the automatic withdrawal for 10% stopped as that was taking almost half of his current income. I setup an arrangement for a fixed amount of $300.00 to be withdrawn. A couple of days ago, I was alerted that he went into his overdraft. Someone, the lady I spoke to had the FULL balance deducted from his account. This left him with a 0% balance in his checking and made a complete mess of his accounts. I called and was transferred to the manager who told me that there is nothing that they can do. I went to my local Wells Fargo Bank and they called on my behalf. Wells Fargo told me that it would be three to four days and my fathers account would be credited. It is the fourth day and nothing has happened yet. I had to give my father $500.00 to last him until his account is corrected. This is unacceptable. If I would not have helped him with his finances, he would have had no money for food, gas or other essentials. Wells Fargo literally stole his money from him. They had no permission to take that much from his account and then have the gale to say that there was nothing that they could do.
CRAZY! HORRIBLE! credit card!

Went to ATM to with draw money and got ripped off! They took money out of my ACCOUNT but didn't give me any cash. Went to manager, and she insulted me and refused to help. Teller said that three people complained about ATM but they kept it open because the funds were in their favor.

I tried to refinance my mortgage with Wells Fargo. I was told I could not because I must reaffirm my mortgage loan first. Since I had entered bankruptcy almost two years ago, I would have had to done this prior to the bankruptcy. I told Wells Fargo this and they refused to listen. They said they would never grant me a loan despite my monthly payments being on time even during the bankruptcy. At first they were ready to grant a loan and the when I told them I was not able to legally affirm the loan they wanted nothing to do with me. I have spoken to other finance lenders and they have never heard of it. Needless to say it was very disturbing.
stoled $630 from my account
Wells fargo bank fradulantly stoled $630 in nsf fees and overdraft fees without proper authorization totaling 18 transactions from april 1, 2014 - april 23, 2014. They did not have proper authorization to repeatedly steal my money out of my account. They took most of my direct deposit and now I have no money to buy food to eat. I am poor too. So they fraudulently used my own hard working money to profit and help maintain their wealthy customers bank accounts and high interest rate profit.
Also if my account was in a negative, they should have rejected all payments to prevent any charges. But because they wanted to profit from the poor people like me, they charged me an inexcusable and excessive charges that will later affect my credit history and my pockets.
This is unfair and wells fargo should be fined substantially and I would like my money back.
I even called the executive office and spoke with amanda peters and she did nothing.

I had a payment that was supposed to come out of a credit union account come out of my Wells Fargo acct. Eventually I ended up not having enough money to pay bills. they put payments through 4 times. I kept putting money in acct to catch it up, but they were putting them through every other day. I ended up with 500 NSF. A payment I know had cleared on Friday 06/06...disappeared. I checked my account on 06/10 and my payments were rearranged. I don't get how they can go back after a day is closed and arrange payments to cause an overdraft.
Redhatterb71 the fees are unreasonable for late fees. This company has been in trouble for fraud, moving people's money from different accounts, and unscrupulously overcharge people. There should be some penalties, but not enough to bankrupt someone!
I hate that company, and they are nothing but thieves. Do yourself a favor, and use a pre paid card. It usually is about the same price, and no over draft fees, and a bank that financially rapes you.
$25 late fee
We are in shock. Just got off the phone with "customer service." Never have we experienced such uncaring, rude, and down right nasty representatives. Yep, went up the so called "ladder." We asked for the $25 late fee to be waived. Never late. Never. Not once.
We tried to explain we made an honest mistake. We recently returned items and we thought the refund counted as a payment. When I received the bill I saw the late charge and called the "customer service" number. We were told because the payment is 8 days late, they cannot waive the late fee. What? Really? 8 days late. For this, we endured the worst customer service ever!
I can't believe how we were treated on the phone, and Wells Fargo has the nerve to call the place we called "customer service." The first rep we spoke with was so rude. When we asked for a supervisor, she responded "She's just gonna tell you the same thing." Then came Stephanie, oh she was a piece of work, too. Her remark " Well... you are not going to get to the president or a VP" I guess the only one in the company that can waive the $25 late fee IS the president! Really?
Now it's just the point of it, I didn't even want the late fee waived anymore, but hey, that is probably how this company makes it's money. So, the next rung on the ladder; got to speak with Sean. Oh what joy he was. His quote goes like this "He's unauthorized to transfer to someone hire up in the company at this time." He goes on to say, "my boss is Tom." So disappointed Sean couldn't transfer us to Tom. Anyway, we will never in our lifetime do any type of business with Wells Fargo Financial National Bank. Closing my account and moving on.
Can understand your feelings---but you did owe the bank. And should have been aware that they would take their owed due 1st chance possible. Even if you owed a private debt it would be the same. What WELLS FARGO is guilty of is the practice of paying out the largest amount due 1st-- NOT BUY WHEN THE DUE AMOUNT COMES IN. this means if you have used your debit card to get small amounts like $3 even if there 10 or 20 debits they will take the large amount leaving your account to pay $35. [ think that is the current charge --each bank is different could be more in others] for every tiny amount you have paid out BEFORE you paid the big debit. This can lead to 100s OF DOLLARS IN DEBT! They were --or currently in court because of this--a class action lawsuit against them --by multiple people. This has happened before and banks are forced to return the monies they took. It can amount to MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. If they do it enough people that can be a huge profit.
SO----- no matter who you bank with always look at your statement--and if you see the larger amount that may have come in days later---go to the bank and demand they correct the billing so you only get maybe 1 or 2 charges.
Hopes this helps some one.
you were late paying, accept it. as said, returned items never count as a payment.
Sounds like you wasted more than $25 of your time arguing. Returned items count as paying you bill? Sorry. No. It never was, at any bank, on any planet. You were wrong, pay the $25, and continue using the account.
inactivity fee
I was charged a $150 Inactivity Fee on my business credit card statement even though I make monthly charges and keep my card active. I called and the banker said she could waive the fee, but I would have to charge $5, 000.00 or pay $500.00 interest. The banker I spoke with had some helpful suggestions and was polite, but I think this is not the way to treat your paying customers. I never miss a payment and have been paying my balance down. I think Wells Fargo's fees like this are unscrupulous and there needs to be federal regulation on bank fees.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I too concurred the ridiculous inactivity fee $150 and was able to get it waived, however the $5000 charge or $500 interest seems beyond reasonable. The word "inactivity" seems misleading because I actually used the line, it should rename to "rip-off" fee.
refused accom according to ada requirments
In I asked for a disability accommodation; and they refused me access to that right of the ADA law. I simply asked for a date change of due date to meet the other bills that I have so that I could remember my due dates all together, that would re-insure my timeliness with out fail. Due to an accident beyond my control I requested this again...and again today and received the date change finally, however I'm stuck with late fees that Wells Fargo Financial Corporation refuses to help me with...or work with me at all. They appear to be a Very, Very GREEDY company, and not willing to help a person with a problem after spending approx $2, 700.00 with in a year without missing a payment. If you ask me a person that is to be considered rather an expert at dealing and helping others succeed in the business world of social media. The mere fact is; if I had that business this isn't the way you treat customers, nor other business owners customers that are you're ... business partners. holding check deposit
I opened a new checking and savings account at Wells Fargo in San Mateo California with a 7460.00 check from my 401k plan. I was told they were going to put a hold on my account for 7 days because the amount of the deposit was over 5000.00. I looked online in my account to see if my check had posted to my account, and the check is still being held from my account for the same reason, now my waiting period is 9 days! Hello! I have bills to pay! The check is from my 401k Fidelity account I doubt very seriously its going to bounce! This is plain ridicules! I plan on withdrawing my money and going elsewhere.
defamation
Have been caring for my 89 year old Mother for many years now. Took her to the Wells Fargo to have my name added to her accounts in order to assist her with her finances. Branch manager, Susan Churchill refused to assist even though my Mother was present at the bank. After leaving the bank, I received a call from Adult Protective Services indicating Susan Churchill had contacted them and advised I was trying to steal my Mom's money!
I told the investigator that my Mom's Neurologist advised me to have my name added as she was dealing with Alzheimer's now. My Mom doesn't remember her PIN number and hasn't paid her bills in several months now so, everything is just sitting. Not being paid and collections letters being received.
I did have power of attorney and presented it to her. she was just being difficult. She wouldn't even assist my Mom with changing her PIN because she forgot her old one. I have no issue with somebody trying to protect my mom. I do however, take issue with some halfwit manager thinking she can judge people when it's none of her damn business and the suggestion to have me on the accounts was at the Neurologists recommendation.
It's all good, all of the accounts have been closed and a new bank has been fantastic in assisting my mom in anyway they can. Screw Wells Fargo. Bunch of incompetent ###s.
She did the right thing. If you are on the up and up, no loss. Be glad that someone is protecting your mother. If your mother is clearly not in a state of mind to make a decision, the bank officer is not going to take your word for it. You need to get a lawyer to make you her proxy or give you power of attorney. If your mom has checks use them to pay the bills.
incompetent tellers
I went into Well Fargo Bank in Elk Grove, CA, on 2/11 to deposit a business check someone had given me, The check was for $2, 214.58. I only had $1, 600 in the bank before I made the deposit. The teller took a long time with the transaction. She never said anything. Finally she gave me the deposit slip. I ask her when will the check post, and she told me at the end of the day. The next day I drew $1, 999.76 out to send to the lady whose boss sent her pay check to me by mistake. She wanted me to send her money back to her through Vanilla download cards. This lady was deaf and she did not have a credit card. The teller had no problem giving me the money. I sent the money the way she requested I looked at my account later that evening and I was $420. Overdrawn. I knew that had to be a mistake! I called the bank to see what was going on. They told me they could not verify the check and it should be verified by 2/14. That morning I looked at my account and the money had posted to my account, later that evening I went back into my account and it was back to negative $420. At this point I am furious. I went back to the bank to see what was the problem. I had all my information, They proceeded to tell me the check was fake! I was very upset because I was not informed by the bank that I needed to wait 3 days before using that money. My issue with this situation is that the teller who let me draw out the money should have told me the check was on hold or at lease print it out on the deposit slip. Neither happened. I trusted the bank to have my back in a situations like this. Why would the teller give me more money than what I had in the bank? If that check had not cleared? I think the bank should at lease return my $1600 for the negligence of the employee and then fire both of them.
Not all checks take 2-3 days to clear. it depends on the type of check
They did the same to me!
The check POSTING and CLEARING are 2 different things. The teller said the check would post at the end of the day. It always takes 2-3 days to clear.
false credit reporting
On a merged credit report dated January 24, 2014, it shows a charged off account with Wells Fargo Bank Card Services. The account shows that I the consumer have disputed the account information.
Today, February 1, 2014, I called the number provided on the merged credit report to dispute the account again and to have it deleted with 72 hours. All of the representatives at Wells Fargo stated that they could not find anything attached to my social security number. I gave the account number listed on the merged credit report.
A representative of the Fraud Department with Wells Fargo disclosed the account was an equity line of credit account. I gave her a lot of personal information, and she stated that none of it matched with what they had on record. She still refused to have the account deleted from my credit reports, claiming she did not have enough information that matched the account. This did not make any sense. If the information does not match, then it is definitely not my account.
This afternoon, February 1, 2014, I sent a letter to the Mr. John G. Stumpf, Chairman, CEO, and President of Wells Fargo & Company explaining in detail the matter and demanding the account be deleted within 72 hours upon receipt of my letter and send written confirmation of such by return mail within 72 hours upon receipt of my letter. Also, I mentioned the derogatory account information is contributing to the Veterans Administration denying me a home loan. Last, I did state that if Wells Fargo did not delete the account and all account information within 72 hours upon receipt of my letter, they would leave me no alternative but to file suit in court for monetary damages and declaratory relief.
It is shame Wells Fargo Bank seems to think they are above the law and beyond reproach and can place anything they desire on a person's credit report, knowing it does not belong to the person whatsoever. They seem think they are above reproach. Note: The alleged account was opened in 12/94 according to the merged credit report. In 12/94 I did not own any property. Also, I have never co-signed any sort of loan for anyone.
I have a Home Equity Line of Credit, Mortgage Line of Credit, and Personal Line of Credit. I had signed a form for automatic payment to be drafted out my account for each of the above account. I have received several calls from the company that they are charging me a late fees of $39.00 and interest of $1.48 per day; and I was even told by Chris today that they don't have to honor their agreement on any of these loans. The statement date Feb 10, 2011 and due date March 7, 2011. I was asked today to pay $363.00 and I would still be late on March 7, 2011.
I have spoken with the banking directly in my town, and they had removed the late fees, and when I gotten my statement today, it was replaced back onto my bill. This is incorrective action by Wells Fargo Bank, and I am in the process of stopping all my direct deposit, and removing my account from Wachovia/Wells Fargo bank.
Emily ext 3238 was so rude condescending didn't care about why I was 3 hour late paying my card on Superbowl Sunday she said tough luck and eventually hung up on me

breach of confidence
My mother made a deposit into my account at a local branch where she was told information regarding my account including my current balance. I could maybe understand if it had been a mistake thinking she was me. BUT I live in a town starting with T while shes in one 3 hours South starting with a N, Im in my 30s and shes in her 70s, and my name is nothing even similar from first to last. Nothing on that screen should have indicated otherwise. Even if it had, I do not bank with this branch nor does she therefore so type of identifications would need to be to presented to get ANY information upon it! CLEARLY A BREACH IN CUSTOMER CONFIDENTIALITY! Ive already had to take an anxiety pill after having to hear about it from my parents. What was worse that the corporate office number representative said Im sorry but didnt even act like it was a big deal. I contacted that local branch and they still didnt seem to act like it was a big ordeal... I hope they can spell ILLEGAL!
mortgage short sale
In June of 2013 I moved to another state and needed to sell my home. Wells Fargo has made this a horrible experience. My home did not appraise for enough so my Real estate agent suggested I try a short sale and Wells Fargo agreed. I had never been late on my mortgage payment and kept it current through the short sale process. I received a cash offer of $50, 000 on the home and another offer that needed to obtain financing. Wells Fargo counter offered for an amount higher than the payoff of the mortgage. I then stopped paying the mortgage (I can't afford to keep up 2 properties) and now after 6 months Wells Fargo sent me a letter saying they would modify the mortgage based on a $50, 000 value. It's too late now, my credit is ruined and I'm having to file bankruptcy. Why are they able to accept a $50, 000 value now, but not when I had an offer? I hate Wells Fargo and will never bank with them again.

non explanatory contract / electronically deceived signing
I opened a business account on december 2012 and was offered first data's wi-fi credit card slider by the wells fargo employee wich was opening the account, he put me on the phone with a first data representative named Jason who explained the benefits and costs of using the terminal, I declined on first ocassion saying that I needed to see how the business performance was going to be, the teller insisted and called the representative who said that i was going to pay close to 40 monthly for the lease (it's 44.78) and 15 a month for processing fee, wich was all going to be tax deductible (only the lease can be writed off and I'm not sure about it yet), I refused again but Jason with the bank employee complaince that i could use it a month or two and returned if it wasn't working for me (that was their first lie) so I electronically signed on a screen for my new account with terminal, and come two months called first data, and a person in a call center in another country tells me that I had signed an electronic agreement for a 4 year non cancelable lease and had to pay like 4500 dollars to resind it, i was shocked about this, I decided to keep the terminal for a full year, and called recently and had the same negative answer, to the previously mentioned fees they added a 25 membership a 40 tax collection a now Jan/2014 55 more dollars for the same things for this year, i haven't run a single transaction on the terminal ever, I'm thinking on closing the account where the debit occurs but I dont want any legal troubles, joining a class action lawsuit seems a chance of being heard and do something about this huge scam that banks are doing to hardworking people that try to start a small business, thanks for reading, my name is martin piatti and my business is called overhead doors solutions llc, I'd appreciate any insights you have on this matter
holding my money over christmas
Tried to re-fi a 4-plex my wife has owned for 10 years. We have been married 7. Never late on a payment. I have good credit and a good job. Reason for not appoving is they said I had to many inquires credti checks. Most of them were all from wells fargo... We had bought two properties. Once produces income the other is a summer place. They pulled money out of my checking account to cover the cost of an appraisel.. After months of not hearing anything we called to find out they did not approve it. I checked my account two weeks later and they had never returned my money for the appraisel the was never done. This was on a thursday.. Then I notice a fee charged against my account that friday but no money. I called them again and the guy said he would look into it and get back to me. Well here it is tuesay december 25th and they did reverse the fee but no money was returned to me account. They said it would take 24 hours from when first requested. I really hate the way the have treated me in this matter. My news years resolution it to find another bank or credit union to work with. I have had so many bad experiences with wells fargo over the last three years. Not sure why I have not dumped them sooner.

Cristina Ruiz is very unprofessional. She discloses personal information about costumers to people who know them. If she doesn't like you you are especially at risk.
password reset
I have spent over an hour today speaking with 5 different customer service people trying to reset our banking internet password. They tell me I can't provide enough information to authenticate myself. I bank online exclusively. I have two accounts. A credit card -- which I've provided the number for and a line of credit which I don't know the number for since all banking is done ONLINE. I don't receive any paper statements. So I cannot give them what they are asking me for. I've provided them with social security numbers, account balances, last payment dates and amounts paid yet they insist it's not enough to confirm I am who I say I am. All I want is to reset my freaking password. That's it. I know it's not the fault of the customer service rep but this banks policies are so STUPID. They suggested I could go into a local branch to show my ID however, the nearest branch location is an hour away and I highly doubt that the attendant bank teller will be able to reset my password. Ridiculous. Congratulations Wells Fargo... today you lost a customer you've had for 10 years.

bad business practices
I called back Wells Fargo back on February 1, 2013; to verify if and a small investment account I received from a divorce settlement, had been properly set up. Read full review of Wells Fargohanding counterfeit money and insulting
I have never felt this insulted in my life. I cashed a check at Wells Fargo, Cherry Hill, New Jersey location and I did not know the money you get from the Bank cannot be trusted. I cashed a check and took it directly to my Bank (TD Bank) to make a deposit and the teller noticed that one of the bills were fake. The teller then wrote up a report and submitted it to Secret Service. I told the teller where I got the cash from and even showed him the receipt from Wells Fargo. It really made me feel like a criminal and was really insulting to me. Not only I was shortened the $100, now I have the stamp of a criminal in front of my bank where I usually do business.
I am very offended by this and want to make sure no one else gets treated this way. It may not have been the branches fault but big banks like Wells Fargo MUST make sure this doesn't happen again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They steal money from your account without shame. When you find out they're stealing from you, they tell you that your account has been closed administratively, and that you can't touch YOUR money until it is completely closed. Also it is closed in one month and a half, after that you have to wait 15 days for th to send you a check of how much money was in the account, without any explanation, just because I didn't let them keep stealing my money. So if you want to have your money stolen go to Wells Fargo. Personally I will never use that bank again.

I and sending this letter in regards to the conversation i had with ms. Deanna march on 11 / 19 / 2013 about the assumption i file to help with my home on 4914 parrish street. Ms. March was very rude and unprofessional when speaking to me the day she called. When i tried to ask question she was very short and spoke to me like i was a piece of trash and acted like i was lying to her about my home. She went on to tell me that my home had renters insurance which is also a lie i have been with the same insurance company for over ten years now, and when i tried to explain that to her she as much as called me a lire. If wellsfargo do not want to help me then say that, don’t call me and try to tell me i do not live in the property not only do i live there i have children that go to school there and i still work there also. What i want wellsfargo to know is that i have worked with the public for over 25 years and the way that women spoke to me, she should not be working and dealing with people. We all have feeling and she really made me feel like something she could just walk over, say what she wanted, and it’s done. If wellsfargo need to know anything about me and my home at 4914 parrish st then come around there and ask my neighbors i have been a resident for over 35 years and who don’t call me mom, call me auntie, and they will let you know who is and is not in the property. Ms. March was out right blunt, short, and demanding when she called me. The way she treated me and spoke on the phone she should not have even called, just send me a letter telling me why i was not getting the assumption. She made me feel helpless and like i was lying. I also have minor children that still attend school in the philadelphia area ms. March should have looked that up if it is so ease for her to find out everything else about me. I am appalled, upset and discussed at the way i have been treated by this company and this women. I wish i did have a lawyer so i could file some kind of suite against her oh that’s something else she said i had a lawyer she even said she spoke to them. Tell ms. March to tell my lawyer to call me so i can speak to them myself, and to get the help i need to save my home. Loan# [protected]

I am not to sure who called me about 2 weeks ago about closing my account. But Travis Furman was suppose to close my Wells Fargo College Checking and Way2Saving and return approximately $60.00 Dollars. I sure hope there is not any other money in that account because i did close it. Verbally only but he said he was going to do that and was no problem. Don't have a check yet by the way.
