At the Willow Creek & Sandretto Branch of the Wells Fargo Bank (3186 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86305, Phone: [protected]), I asked a personal banker Carlos Marcano (Carlos.[protected]@wellsfargo.com) to wire-transfer AED4000.00 (which is about US$1000; AED is United Arab Emirates Dirham) to the United Arab Emirates. He asked me to come back on the following day to fill out a written authorization form. However, he did wire-transfer on the following day WITHOUT MY WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION WHICH IS ILLEGAL with a wrong amount US$4000! He noticed his mistake and immediately canceled the transaction, but the money has never been back. Because of this, the balance of my bank account became negative. I was in need of a certain amount at that time, and I asked the bank to give me back only $2000, but the bank refused. If the $4000 is guaranteed to be back, why can’t they give me back only $2000 immediately, and then they can deduct $2000 when $4000 comes back? This means that they do not expect that the money will come back, and this is why they cannot give me back even a portion of the amount which was sent. It's my money and NOT their money. Eventually they stole my money $4000! Because of this incident, I had to reschedule everything, and I canceled my scheduled trip during the Presidents’ Day. When I talked to Carlos’ supervisor Mariana Munoz on the phone, her attitude was rude and never apologized. Eventually, Carlos never apologized until I asked him to do so. The branch manager Mark Garman never contacted me regarding this issue. He was supposed to contact me for apology. Don’t open an account with Wells Fargo. If you have one, close immediately. Otherwise, they will steal your money as they did for me.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
