I opened an account with Planet Fitness back in 2016/2017. I then cancelled my account.
However, my bank account was still being charged till this day (5/17/21).
When I first noticed my account still being charged about 8 months ago, I called and questioned the staff why I was being charged still. I was told by staff they apologized and weren't sure why because my acct was closed back in 2017 and I would be put on a list to be reimbursed.
I am STILL being charged therefore, I called again, but this time I was told by a staff member that I created an account AGAIN in 2019 (that I was NOT aware of.)
I then asked the staff member to let me talk to management to get reimbursed and he said she was NOT available until 9AM.
Therefore, I waited and called back until she was there.
Once on the phone with the female manager she once again said I opened an acct in 2019, I explained to her that I was NOT aware of this acct and I did NOT create it, therefore need a reimbursement. She then said she could NOT reimburse, I asked why and told her I was upset and that wasn't fair, since I NEVER even been into the Planet Fitness after 2017. I asked "So what do I need to do because this is so messed up and I need my money back." I asked what was her name and she said "Oh no I can't give you my name you need to relax and I'm hanging up now."
This is SO unprofessional and instead of helping me to figure out why and HOW this acct was created and what is needed to get reimbursed I was talked to in a rude manner and HUNG UP ON.
Desired outcome: reimbursement
