I purchased the Simmons mattress in January 2007 at the cost of approximately $3000.00. It was fine for a few months but then the middle because hard and the sides soft...resulting in a mound in the middle and each side slanting outwards. It has resulted in many sleepless nights and sore backs for my husband and myself. I have called twice to ask for a repair or replacement. Each time they sent an inspector out to measure the mattress. Both times we were refused satisfaction because they said it was not bad enough and because there was a stain which voided our warranty (which was never given to us). I noticed the last time the inspector came out he didnt even measure the middle hump . Simmons referred me back to Leeds. Neither company is honoring their warranties.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I have been reading about several complaints online regarding the handling of complaints/defective mattresses/unhappy customers etc. having to do with Leed's Mattress store. I purchased a $1000.00 Simmons Beautyrest mattress and box spring from the North Hollywood Store in May, 2011. After approximately 3 months I began experiencing horrible back pain - so bad that it woke me up at night. I chalked it up to my body adjusting to the new bed. However, I am now 10 months into my new bed and it's worse then ever. While making the bed about two weeks ago, I noticed that one side of the bed is bowing out and appears to be collapsing, while the other side of the bed is perfectly straight up and down. Having read some complaint comments I am aware that a Leed's technician told another customer that "this is common". I am 47 years old and on mattress I have ever had for this short amount of time has bowed and collapsed. I am, however, going through the necessary steps of having a technician visit my house ($50 fee) to assess the mattress. I am hopeful that he/she sees the same thing I am seeing. Until that time I'm sleeping on the couch. Update to follow.

I Am neil leeds, and I guess pjs mattress thinks this is a advertising site for their company.I now wonder if this complaint was from them or a blogger from another mattress store.I pray that congress will passs new legislation on the blogging sites and use peoples ip addresses to bring them to court if they are breaking the law by using defamation to hurt their competition.I am here to help if this is a real client of leeds mattress stores at [protected]...Ps pjs I know you well, before I owned my company I worked for basett and stopped by your store.I think you should post on web sites that have been mentioned.I think you really show the community how unfair it is, that the webblogging you did, while you have no place in this complaint unless you wrote it.Neil Leeds

LEEDS MATTRESS STORES HISTORY
From humble beginnings, Mr. Leeds left school at age 14 to pursue work. His job experience went from a newspaper boy for the New York post to a gas station attendant at a Getty gas station in Queens. From that position he was offered a job on a mattress delivery truck where he first received an insiders look into the mattress business. After several years of the delivery business he felt very confident in his ability to sell mattresses. He then applied to the federated dept. stores in New York to sell in the furniture and mattress dept. He landed that position which opened the doors to a very rewarding career and opportunity to pursue his financial goals.
It was after several years of selling for the federated dept. stores that he decided to move west to California, to a warmer climate. There he went to work for Mattress Discounters, and Beautyrest Gallery where he received more training and experience in the mattress business. He then landed a job as a sales rep for the Bassett Bedding Company in which he called on 26 JC Penny stores in Southern California. After saving his money and taking loans, he decided it was time to pursue his own business. He was ready for the challenge and opportunity after many years of working for other people in the industry. So he presented the idea to his boss at the Bassett plant, in order to open a Bassett Bedding gallery, and so the idea was born.
He found his first location in North Hollywood in need of desperate repair, so he rolled up his sleeves and brought out his broom and cleaned up the property, within a few months he was ready for business. As time went on changes took place and Sealy, America's #1 mattress retailer, came to be his primary supplier with Simmons and Spring Air and the Bassett Bedding Gallery became the Leeds Mattress Stores.
He chose his own name to reflect what he believed in, giving back to the community and dealing fair with all of the people he serves. He used his name because he felt that if you believe in what you do then you should be proud to put your name on it. Today you can still find him outside sweeping his stores clean, helping his delivery men unload the trucks and helping customers select new mattress sets.

i can directly relate to the person who filed this complaint. i recently had a similar experience w/ leeds.
the customer service was horrible and they charged me a delivery fee for replacing a defective mattress. now i will have to take the time and file a complaint w/ the better business bureua.
i will never do do business w/ leeds again.
