Barely been a year since getting Amerigas service, the company I had before was always late if they show up at all to fill my tank. I live in snow country, so it's very cold. I'm disabled 58 yrs old, cold causes me extreme pain. I'm trying to move to warmer climate, but thanks to COVID-19 and lack of $ I'm stuck. When first ordering Amerigas I was told they keep track and know when my tank is low, I wanted to get propane monthly no matter how much was used. So the bill is cheaper, and I don't run low or out. Well that didn't happen, really had no problems until this year. They say they changed their system, so now you don't get your local office when you call. Who knows where the person is your talking to? So I'm out of propane. Was at 40% when I started calling, knowing snow is coming. And sometimes the truck can't get to my tank, before I knew they changed their delivery ways. They usually only came to my town Thursdays, a week ago Monday I saw one of their trucks drive by my gate slowly. I couldn't get to my gate fast enough to stop the driver, my gate is closed unless I know I have a delivery. Which is what the process is on my acct, to call night before delivery so I'll have the gate open. I call after seeing the truck, after being on hold a while I finally get a human. Then I'm told of the system changes etc, so there supp to get a delivery to me. No day or date was given, I've been calling every day for over a week to where I'm not down to about 18%. I'm freaking out, today they tell me I was scheduled to get a delivery yesterday. No one showed, I've had my gate open every day waiting. So now there saying I'm top of the list for delivery today, so I sit here cold trying to conserve what I have. And praying they show up, called them 8:30 am today. My mail lady says there was propane trucks all over yesterday, lucky people 😔. It's now 2:00 pm and still no calls no show. I'm beyond livid, I'm in so much pain I'm barely maintaining sanity. Propane is my only source of heat, I had to give my kids my only heater for their house because there's died and they can't afford a new one. All I can think of is, these employees that are in charge of setting up deliveries are I'm sure going home to nice warm houses. No care others are freezing, nor can I cook or have hot water. But they go home after work every day with no worries of freezing, I don't like complaining. It's not my nature, but this is just unreal. You can bet I'll be on the phone next week finding a new propane service, my landlord even called them to try and help me. He has no problem with my changing companies, he pays for tank rental and refills. I pay a certain amount to him monthly, no way I can pay hundreds of dollars to fill a 250 gallon tank. I've also emailed Amerigas, I've tried every way I can find to get help. Now what?
