I have worked with a western dental office on 500 N Main st, Santa Ana, CA, 92707. For an extraction and a gum treatment I did my full x rays over there and needed some work on my teeth. In December 2021/January 2022
02/16/2022. I called to book an appointment for the next day with western dental due to a root canal problem. I was quoted from their booking department which has all my x rays, that the cost of my root canal was $371 with my western dental insurance on the specific tooth I needed help with.
I received a call the next day an hour before my appointment from their office manager asking me to come in 30 minutes earlier to discuss finances.
I told her I already got a quote.
her answer was the person I booked an appointment with is corporate and should not give out any quotes. And said the cost of my root canal is $571 and insisted on getting me a crown.
When I refused to move forward with a crown she refused my same day treatment and told me to come back and get the root canal done whenever I am ready for a crown because they do not do any root canals without a crown.
When I asked for a FINE PRINT that says root canals can’t be done without a crown she was not able to provide me a fine print that says that, she mentioned that doctors will not do a root canal without a crown period.
I later called the booking department and it turned out that the booking department was not corporate. “Office manager said they are corporate and they are not”
I called over 11 times to try to get a hold of a supervisor to resolve my issues and I was not able to speak to any supervisors at all from their booking department.
Called corporate after getting a wrong phone number from the “booking department” and the “office manager” and still couldn’t get a hold of a supervisor.
1- quote misrepresentations about treatment prices.
2- false statement that the crown must be done with root canal or there will be no treatment provided. “No FINE PRINT”
3- not being able to speak to a supervisor.
4- never consented for my information and x rays to leave the office or be transferred anywhere but corporate western dental. “Information was with their non corporate booking department”
