I went in to have some cavities done and when the dentist was doing a filling on one of my front teeth he almost drown me. There was water going up my knows and I could not breath multiple times.
The second time I was sufficating was when he was doing a filling on a back tooth of mine and he had his hand so far in my mouth he was blocking my means of breathing by his hand covering my nose and I was unable to breath multiple times.
I had an appt. set originally at the beginning of Jan.2020 for an extraction and implant. Western Dental called and had to reschedule it to the end of Jan.2020. Then Western Dental called me again and changed the appt. to the next week. Western Dental had billed me two weeks before the treatment was even started. When the day of the appt came to start the trestment they said they could not do it but yet they still charged me two weeks earlier and expected me to make a payment. I spoke to the manager Sanian at the location I was suppose to get the service done that day so I could get credited for what they charged me so far since they did not perform the service on me. He said it will take up to 20 days to get the credit. Then a whole two weeks goes by and I get a call from the Western Dental office on El Camino Real in Santa Clara saying they need my card number to credit me. Why did they not ask that at the time in their office instead of waiting two weeks later? Plus they had it on file because they charged my card without doing the services but yet they play stupid and say they dont have it when I am deserved a credit for the services never performed! So I called today (over 30 days now) and I still have no credit issued to me. They said it takes 20 to 40 days and it is still in approval process. Excuse me but they charged me before any services were ever performed and never ever performed those services but yet it takes them forever to approve something they should not be questioning and they owe the credit to me but don't issue it! I call this bad business. Crooked business! Terrible business and I plan on making it known to as many people places and things I can in this world! Not to mention they almost suffocated me twice! That is in another complaint I've sent to you and the BBB and the Dental Board!

They have not issued me a credit yet. They billed me for services not even performed but they cant seem to issue me a credit. Also, there customer service is terrible! They cant resolve any issues they create and they created many with me. I will never ever trust my mouth in their hands ever again! They almost suffocated me to death twice! If I would gave died I would gave came back and haunted them from the grave!
Western Dental Services - unanswered questions regarding my daughters ortho treatment
My daughter Michaella Gumila went to Western Dental for braces. The duration of the treatment was 18-24 months. During the course of treatment, my daughter's personal dentist was calling the ortho to coordinate the next plan of treatment as we know that she will need transplant after the braces. My daughter's dentist did not received any call back from Western Dental. I called multiple times and did not receive a call back as well. After they removed the braces, I noticed that there was a big gap on the left side and a small gap on the right side of her teeth. When I looked inside my daughter's mouth, I noticed that the ortho moved my daughter's canine to the back instead of aligning it to her four front teeth.
On February 8, 2016, I went with my daughter to her appoint at Western Dental to ask the ortho, she started getting defensive and said she was not the one who started my daughter's treatment, it was another ortho. She also explained that the small gap on the left side is because my daughter did not wear her retainers. I asked if it is still possible to move the canine back to where it should be and she said yes. When I asked about the small gap on the left, she said she will make another retainer for her but since she may need to wear braces again, she said it is better to wait. The ortho then referred me to a receptionist named Itzel. After going back and forth on the phone several times, Itzel notified me over the phone that they will do a re-treatment for my daughter but I will have to pay again. When I asked why I should pay for their mistakes, she could not give me an answer that's when Western Dental started ignoring my calls.
On February 19, 2016, at 2:35 pm, I finally caught Itzel on the phone and she said that she referred my case to her supervisor Denny Chavez. When I asked to speak to Denny, she said he is on lunch break. I called again after and hour and the lady that answered my call said Denny is still on break. I was feeling very frustrated and drove to their office, I got there and 4:40pm and guess what, Denny Chavez was still on break. When I asked for my daughter's medical records, they refused to give it to me and said that their system was down. When I asked for Denny Chavez's supervisor, they refused to give me that information as well. Finally, Denny Chavez arrived after about 15 minutes.
After talking to Denny Chavez and explaining to him the issues I have with my daughter's case, he promised that he will talk to the ortho who started my daughter's treatment and will call me to Feb 26, 2016 to give me and update.
It's March 7, 2016 now, it's over a month and I haven't received any call or any response from Western Dental. Meanwhile the gap on my daughter's teeth are still there and it's getting wider.
