I rented their office space back in September of 2020 at their west covina Regus office (address 1050 Lakes Dr #225, West Covina, CA 91790) I paid the first month rent with a $678 security deposit/ retainer. I rented the space for 2 months and went online to their website to request a retainer refund a little before I canceled the service since it would have taken up to 30 days as they stated after the cancellation to get the retainer / security deposit back. on November 22nd, 2020 I vacated the building and paid all my outstanding fees as they came to me after that. December 22nd comes and I receive nothing. I call in and ask them why I haven't received my retainer they told me that they already processed it and if I didn't receive there was nothing they could do about it. I persisted calling another customer service and finally they fessed up about them being too busy with paper work so they won't issue the retainer refund until 1/8/21. I call in on the 23rd to enquire why my refund hasn't arrived yet and they sent me an email with a voucher that said it should have already arrived at my bank. I confirmed the account number and everything looked right but there was no transfered made to my checking account. I ask my bank and they told me that no such amount of $678 has ever made it to my account neither before nor between the 8th and 23rd of january and said that there was something wrong with Regus's wells fargo bank payment and to let Regus ask their bank. When I asked Regus customer service on a friday they said they will personally contact me on monday saying that it was up to their accounting department and it will be either through email or phone, but no such email arrived on Monday. I called again on monday saying no email arrived and they told me the first customer service didn't right down any notes whatsoever, but that they will contact the accounting department to tell them to check with their bank and will email me the next day. Today is the next day 2/2 and they still haven't resolved this issue and have not returned my retainer when I called and it's been more than 2 months now. This is the worst business practice I have ever seen - first of all they do not live up to their promise, second of all if you don't contact them they will not try to resolve it, third even when they try to resolve it they do not do it proactively and beat around the bush, and lastly since I have not received my retainer after 2 months and still trying to wait on their accounting apartment and continually giving different types of reasons and excuses (saying that maybe it's my bank, or they already issued the payment, or let us wait on our accounting apartment), I am suspecting that they are trying to scam me of my retainer money.
Desired outcome: Give my my $678 retainer back now!!!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
