I have had a somewhat good experience with waste management for the last three years. They have periodically raised my quarterly services rate from $80 to over $100 dollars. I called to cancel my services and the individual told me that would need to pay a $75 fee for the bins to be picked up. I offered to clean them and drop them off at a service location near me. The individual told me that they are not able to accommodate for me dropping off the bins. The invoice I received stated that I may be charged up to $75 for the removal of the bins. I do not recall agreeing to pay this amount when I originally signed up.
Desired outcome: Minimal or no removal fee

Same here. Our fee is $99.00. Here is the response I received from WM.
“Thank you for reaching out to Waste Management via Complaints Board regarding your final invoice. We understand this has been frustrating.
The removal charge is listed on each invoice to be assessed at cancellation.
The reason given for cancellation was due to the rate. The removal charge was advised during that call on 5/26 with Michelle when we attempted to offer a better rate for service and retain your business.
We understand this may not be the information you would like to hear, but these are valid charges on this invoice.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to respond to this email or call us at...”
I was never offered a better rate and another reason we cancelled was because of missed pick ups we were never credited for.
I asked to speak with a Supervisor and was placed on hold until about hour when the phone disconnected. WM is marking these posts as “resolved” even though the complaints remain unresolved. Hope you have better luck than me. Time to escalate to BBB, local government, and social media.
