Drove 20 minutes to the LC's, and as I entered the store I said 'excuse me, OK to take a look at your inventory?" Andrea (Rocky Hill, CT), stood up from her computer walked over to me and said she was on the computer. Didn't greet me, not a 'hello/good morning" just "I was on the computer". I asked if I could take a look at the inventory of glasses and she stated I needed a prescription. I told her I would like to first see what you had so that I could then make an appointment. She stated due to COVID 19 that wasn't possible. I walked out.
Business' are open everywhere! I had my mask on and if Andrea was concerned about COVID-19 what she should have stated was you CAN'T TRY on the glasses but you can LOOK without touching (which I totally would agree with)! Andrea- FYI- today is 'RAMDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY!'
I will make sure to share m experience with my friends and family members that shop at LC's!
LensCrafters - vision exam
I was in the store yesterday for an eye exam. I have Aetna health insurance so the co- pay was covered. However, when I proceeded to check out they had charged me $70 for contact fitting. They did not fit me for contacts and told me that it was not covered by my insurance. I was very confused but the lady at the desk was trying to convince me that it was standard for every exam. I have had poor vision all my life and had never had to pay for such a thing. I am emailing because I want my money back. I am young and I feel as if they took advantage of me by making me pay this extra charge.
