I am currently a military service member deployed overseas. I tried calling my home club to cancel and they refuse to unless I send a hand written letter, even after explaining my employment status.
What is this? 1950? How is a letter in the mail any different than an email or a phone call? How does a written letter verify my identity any better than digital means?
I am over 2 hours from the closest post office in a foreign country. No, I am not complying with this ridiculous rule.
If they dont cancel over phone im going to just file a fraud complaint with my bank to cancel the service. Collections doesnt effect your credit score until its over 150$ anyways so whatever.
Claimed loss: my money
Desired outcome: to not lose anymore money
