Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the State imposed quarantine I am one of the many who have suffered loss of employment which caused me to lose my home. I took what I deemed valuable to the extra space storage. It has not been easy to find employment and my payment fell behind. I paid the late fee the first month and hoped things would improve. They have not been good but are getting better as I have been able to find some part time work here and there. My second month fell behind but I had sold some things on Ebay and thought I would be ok. Then I learned that my PayPal account puts a 21 day hold on my money from the sale. I contacted the office at extra space and told then about my situation and they made it sound as if that would not be a problem. By the time I was able to access my money was late on a Friday and I still had to transfer it to my credit card. Monday I was able to pay the previous month with the late fee and part of my month that became due on Friday and told them I would have the rest in a couple of days. Before this month charged a late fee. I was told that it is already being charged and another charge was coming with it as a foreclosure type charge and the money they accepted would not stop them from selling my things. I contacted customer service and was told a district manager would call me and that never happened. It is now Tuesday and I have what I feel I should owe but the late fee and other fee put it just out of reach. This is the only company I have encountered that does not have any concern about how some people have been affected by this pandemic.
