Westgate Resorts - Sales

My family were on vacation in Orlando, FL. We went out to dinner when we noticed a sign offering Disney tickets for a discount. We entered the store and a very nice lady said to us we will offer you the tickets at a discounted price if you attend a 90-minute presentation. My husband and I agreed, and we all went to this presentation. Upon arriving we were...

Westgate Resorts - Ethical issues

As a new Timeshare owner I was invited to schedule an in person orientation with Westgate. In November I successfully schedule January 12 , 2023 . The welcome department called me on January 10 the day before my flight to inform me that my orientation date was changed to the 14th. I stated I cannot make it for the 14th because I has already scheduled my departure flight for 6:20am on the 14th January 2023. which was a non-transferable/nonrefundable flight. Agent stated she will look into booking January 13th, 2023 and will get back to me. Later that same day she called back and stated 8:30am on the 13th was successfully scheduled. I arrived at the downhill reception around 7PM and explained to the desk clark why I was here. She said she can only see that I was scheduled for the 14th at 8:30am not the 13th. Thinking it was an oversight I brushed toff. I wasted the entire day on January 12th, 2023 at the venue and eagerly arrived at the welcome center on the 13th at 8:30am only to be told the center was closed that day. I was aghast. I emailed customer service supervisor email a supervisor who said the policy of Westgate welcome center is ton cancel at any time and that an email containing this information was sent with my confirmation. Only received a confirmation for the 12th not the 13th nor 14th. I still have the email without such disclaimer in it.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for my travel cost and food 1000.00

Westgate Resorts - Customer service

Good morning. Maybe this email has no concern to you. I'm a healthcare worker. Who decided to take his children on a getaway. I'm currently staying at the resort. I checked in on 06/25/2020 a little after 3pm. I bought groceries put them in the refrigerator. We went to the pool came back around 6pm. Children were hungry went to the fridge and found out it wasn't working. I called the front desk they sent a maintenance guy up almost 30 to 40 minutes later. He came supposedly he said the issue was fixed. At 830 I checked the refrigerator again and it still was not keeping the items cold. Now it has been a little over 5 hours that my groceries has been in the refrigerator not being chilled. I called the front desk they said they will send someone up. They came acted like I did something wrong the guy kept telling me to take the things out of the refrigerator but I couldnt because of the door that cant be open all the way due to the fact the other guy was unplugging it. Then in rage he just grabbed the refrigerator and dragged it out from the kitchen out the villa. Around 9:30pm security came did a report and took pictures of my receipt. Then he came back at 10pm said that they will reimburse me but has to take all my groceries. Which is fine they were all bad anyways. Then on 0626/2020 at 830am. I did not hear anything from anyone and was concerned that my kids would wake up and not have anything to drink or eat so I called the front desk. I spoke to the manager and he said he will find out and let me know. I waited a hour and got no answer. I called back at 930am and said the head of security will be contacting me. I explained that there is no food no drink and I have little children. He just apologized. I called security then spoke to a lady she said that he will not be coming in at 2pm and he is aware of my issues. So that means I have to wait until 2pm to get a answer or wait to feed my kids. We came here to be stress free and get away from the world and all its issue and I only been here one day and have anxiety. Nothing was done to make sure we were comfortable or accommodate. This is unacceptable and for a resort to have such a good reputation and big name no one cares. I did pay money for this vacation it was not free. Like I said in the beginning of this email. This will probably be brushed off or not even read. What big name company cares about the little people. I put pictures to show the drag Mark on the floor and how all my stuff was just put out. Today is 06/27/2020 and I have not heard anything from anyone this email was forward and sent to different people but got nothing in return. I guess we dont care if my children got anything to eat or drink. I had to go out and buy more food and spend more money. Like I said big companies made there name already so why care about the little people.

Westgate Resorts - checking-in process

February 25, 2020

To whom it may concern,

My reserved week was for feb. 16th - feb. 23rd at westgate resort villas in orlando, florida. I had phoned the resort to let them be aware that I had a late flight (9pm) with my family on the 16th and we would not be arriving until after 12am on the 17th. When we arrived at the resort and I checked in, they told me that they were short on 2 bedrooms and to have a seat because my room was not ready. Really? I was due to arrive on the 16th (check-in 4pm) and we didn't arrive until 1am, which the resort was well aware of, and you don't have a room ready for me?!?!?! After I got very upset, as my mom is 81 years old and was exhausted, they came out of the room and proceeded to tell me that they suddenly had a room. It was dark and late, and we all went to the room that was given to us... It was a room that was outside of the security gates. We get to the room, we unpack and we went to bed, only to wake up to construction/landscape workers in the back pool area, I jumped out of my sleep, open the back door and find that the pool behind our room is empty and under construction! Are you kidding me! I have been an owner now for almost 6 years, I am sure you are aware how much I pay for this time share! This was reserved almost 10 months in advance, and this is what you give me... This is what I have to look forward to... An empty pool and landscapers to wake us up! Needless to say, after losing my mind, they changed our room, so we all had to pack back up and move! The fact that they stuck us in this room is unacceptable! This was not the first time that I have arrived at the resort in orlando and my room was not ready. The last time I was there, I arrived at 5pm and again had to wait for my room to be ready. How is this possible when check-in is at 4pm. How inconsiderate is it to travel all day, only to arrive at your resort (that you pay good money for) and not have your room ready! As much as I love staying at westgate, I am once again disappointed with their service. So much so that I would never recommend anyone to buy or stay in westgate. The next time this happens, I plan on not continuing to keep my timeshare. As an owner, I am not satisfied with your service, especially at check-in!

Sincerely,
Danette esposito
Westgate owner #[protected]

Westgate Resorts - treated like a 2nd class person

I signed up for breakfast/ resort tour. I was asked if I made $50000/yr. Which is the minimum. We went at 8:45 for our 9 am app't. Not wanting to give my exact amount, I put down the monthly amount which equaled $54K. After a 25 min wait, the marketing mgr, Johnnie, took us aside and told us we I didn't qualfy for thr tourbecause of income. But he could give us the same deal on tickets if we took the Group tour. We were directed to another building which being disabled I can't walk well to. Despite a slew of golf carts, I was told I could walk or drive. When we got there, we were told we had to wait until 11 am for our Continental Breskfast! If the beginning of this visit didn't make us feel like trash, this topped the cake! We ended up wasting the morning, got nothing to eat and being admonished by Johnnie for being rude! He said he was doing us a favor by giving us the same ticket deal through their vacation club ! I can pay full price for tickets and will. I don't need their discount if it means bri g treated like trash.

Westgate Resorts - promotional tours

I was visiting the Florida Welcome Center and was asked to take a tour of Westgate properties in Orlando Florida. I informed Connie that I was already a timeshare owner and was not interested in purchasing another one. I was told the presentation was just for information to pass along to my friends and family members and in return I will receive discount tickets to a theme park. This was supposed to be a 90-minute presentation. Upon my arrival at Westgate I reiterated the fact that I own a time share and was not looking to buy another one. I also inform the individual that it was my birthday and I didn't want to spend all day at Westgate. After a hour and 45 minutes I reiterated it's my birthday and I was ready to go. Needless to say I was held hostage for over 3 hours. I couldn't just leave because I had not reviewed my tickets that I made a $60 down payment on. Once the repsentive realized that I was true to my word and was not going to buy he became very rude and hostile. This cause severe emotional stress and anguish. I was so upset it ruined my 55 Birthday. To top it all off, when I checked my account I had been charged twice. Now no one can get me to right department or personal to correct. When will this nightmare end?

Westgate Resorts - failure tyo answer my last 5 emails

I have now written 5 rmails between the 27th May and the 1st April asking about the deeds and/or docement relating to my timeshare WTE532. I phoned yesterday the 1st April and spoke to Hernan who said that he would investigate and call me back - still absolutely nothing. I wish to sell the timeshare because in my opinion it is the worst thing possible. In the past letters have arrived with NO date, NO signature and NO name. If I ring back NO body knows a thing and the paper the letter is written is not worth a light.
Regards

Andy Anderson

i tried to use our timeshare we bought march of last year. when we went through the presentation, they promised us the stars and moon. they kept giving us a run around on reservations. they wouldn't return phone calls or emails. 2 weeks prior to when our vacation was scheduled, we still didn't have a room. after calling 10 times in a row, we finally got someone who spoke clear enough english to understand. they had a room for us...for $797. i was like wtf? i've payed out over $7000 for timeshare in which the total price was $14000 over 10 years and can't even use it like it was promised. i ended up staying on disney property for $417.

oh and we haven't gotten our deed yet either. we even went over there while we were in orlando to find out what was going on. no one seems to know. i'm selling the stupid thing and filing a complaint with the better business bureau and florida attorney generals office.

Westgate Resort Timeshare - NO!
Westgate Resort Timeshare - NO!
Westgate Resort Timeshare - NO!
Westgate Resort Timeshare - NO!

These guys are worse than crooks because theve made an art of lying. We bought, we tried to get out, no replies- no service -no emails-etc...

We are Westgate resort slaves to a hotel in Las Vegas that has gone into financial stasis and wont be completed in time for our first stay. By then we will have paid out $12000 of our $17000 at 17% interest (they forgot to mention the interest).

We travel cheaper by internet than by their memberships or discounts.

Please God- protect the innocent and our children!
What have I done to myself?!

The next time you call ask the rep if your Account is in deeded status! If they say yes ask for the county courthouse phone number. You can call the courthouse and get a deed mailed to your home address. If they don't have the phone number ask for the county and you can get the phone number via net. If your account is not in deeded status, which your home resort being the towers it should be, ask for a copy of your contract and that you are willing to pay the ten dollars.
