I have been shopping at Fresco y Mas, formerly Winn-Dixie. Store #0287, Kendall for many years. Today after waiting for 5 minutes in line to pay, an associate with items in her cart walked passed by. I thought she was probably shopping on her time off. To my surprise, she opened the register next to where I was standing and proceeded to tell a lady who had just wondered by and told her to move and she would ring her up. The lady even looked at me and but proceeded to be charged. Being Miami, where no manners is the rule, is not uncommon for that to happen.
When I finally got to be rung up, the young man, without even an acknowledgment started to ring items. I told him "good afternoon" no answer. Seeing the young lady in the next register was within earshot, I asked if she was a manager, as she was wearing a different outfit than the rest. Black apron, red shirt. He said she was not. I told him, please tell her the proper way to open up a register is to announce "the next person in the same order." His response was "tell her yourself". Fuming at his impertinence, I refrained from speaking. Only when he told me move the cart, did I say PLEASE. He said please. I, as a grandfather myself, told him he shouldn't forget customers pay for the salaries.
And to have a good day, a phrase he probably wasn't used to using.
The purpose of this note is to bring attention to management and/or the hiring person to emphasize good manners, a certain degree of people skills, even if it it is an entry level, first job, minimum wage job.
You'll be doing them a world of good and your company.
Then it will be a shopping pleasure, to mention a competition slogan.

Security guard at Tampa Armenia Store stalks people in the name of safety for no reason I think he serves organised gang stalking when he has no sense of self gang stalking regular shoppers at this store and horrasing them and pointing fingers saying he's good at he's job actually he's not he's an ignorant old ego centric full of insecurity profiling good people for a temporary job he can be with out at any given time this is a brown noser a looser who does anything for money and knows nothing about safety this man is a lability to this store and fresco y mas he's does all this so he's ghetto buds can loiter out and in the store this man need to be fired he's ruins the fresco y mas store threw he's arrogant dark ego I complaint to the manager but prob nothing will be done
